bitchy | Prince Harry & Meghan wore his-and-hers Armani at the Project Healthy Minds gala

by jummy84 October 11, 2025
written by jummy84

I swear, every time the Duchess of Sussex steps out in public in the past five years, the immediate reaction across the board is “I see why they’re mad.” You look at her beautiful face, her healthy hair, her beautiful skin, her innate glamour and sexiness, and you can just hear the plates being smashed in the UK. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out last night for Project Healthy Minds’ gala. Harry and Meghan received the Humanitarians of the Year award, mostly for founding the Parents’ Network through their Archewell Foundation.

Meghan and Harry wore his-and-hers Armani suits. We see Meghan so rarely on a “red carpet,” I think the fans always want her to go all out, but I like her choices here. While her black suit is relatively conservative, it’s also dressy enough for the event and the subject matter. It’s still sexy as well – the jacket has a slim cut, and I love that Meghan didn’t wear anything underneath the jacket. Her necklace is apparently from Anine Bing (it looks so much like a Tiffany & Co. necklace), and her bag and shoes are Armani.

One of the most ridiculous headlines in the British media is the Telegraph’s “Sussexes echo Princess of Wales’s warning over children and phones.” As in, that’s the whole f–king reason why Kate “coauthored” that stupid “phones are bad for kids” essay, which was published yesterday. Instead of honest reporting and instead of acknowledging that Harry and Meghan received this award for work they’ve been doing for years, derangers and royal reporters are acting as if the Sussexes are “copying” Asparagus Keen. You can read Harry & Meghan’s speeches here.

Alongside last night’s event, the Sussexes announced an expansion of the Parents’ Network. They’re partnering with ParentsTogether, “a national nonprofit focused on advocating for families and online safety.” This partnership will extend to education and protecting children from AI, specifically chatbots.

María Zardoya’s New Solo Project Is Lush, Moody, a Little Dark—and Utterly Her Own

by jummy84 October 10, 2025
written by jummy84

In February, Zardoya, Evian, and Buccellati headed to upstate New York for three weeks of writing and recording—an unlikely setting for the San Juan-born artist. “I wanted to record somewhere totally out of my comfort zone, and outside of LA,” she explains. “I’m Puerto Rican and an island girly, so the polar opposite was going to upstate New York in the dead of winter.” Between sessions, they took long walks through the woods and ate farm-fresh duck eggs.

Melt’s softly gothic sound may feel familiar to fans of the Marías, whose production leaned toward the lush, layered, and hypnotic, but it’s slower, moodier. “The Marías are very much a band, but from day one, Josh and I have written all of the music. So what you get is 50-50 Josh’s musical DNA and mine,” Zardoya says. “Whereas with my solo project, I wanted this to feel like music you’d listen to in nature while sitting under a tree, or on the train looking out a window.” (If ever a song began to stray from the sensibility she was after, Zardoya recalls, she’d describe it as “not vampire enough!”)

Its tone draws as much from the wintry stillness of those New York woods as from Evian and Buccellati’s love of The Lord of the Rings (which, yes, they got Zardoya into, too). “Sam, Luca, and I worked so seamlessly because we have such similar musical DNA. We’re inspired by the same things,” Zardoya says. “A song called ‘Back to You’ felt like the stars were aligning—the melody came out of nowhere. We were all just in our little stations, creating, and then before we knew it, we had a whole song.” The trio were delighted to discover, after the song was finished, that the planets had quite literally been aligned that night.

written by jummy84

Yesterday (October 6), PinkPantheress posted a teaser video to X. In the clip, the British musician’s animated alter-ego asks if she’d “fancy some more,” then scrawls the names of a whopping 23 artists on a whiteboard, among them Oklou, Bladee, Kylie Minogue, Kaytranada, and Jade. Now, those acts have been revealed as the featured guests on Fancy Some More?, a 22-track add-on to her recent Fancy That mixtape that’s out this Friday, October 10. Check out the tracklist and cover art below.

Fancy Some More? consists of two full-album remixes, one of which appears to lean more towards pop—with appearances from Anitta, Seventeen, Oklou, Jade, Yves, JT, Sugababes, Kylie Minogue, Bladee, Zara Larsson, Ravyn Lenae, and Rachel Chinouriri—while the other boasts a slew of dance and electronic acts—Nia Archives, Kaytranada, Basement Jaxx, Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, DJ Caio Prince, Mochakk, Loukeman, Leod, Sega Bodega, Groove Armada, and Kilimanjaro.

PinkPantheress shared Fancy That in May. She’s since teamed up with Danny L Harle on his new song “Starlight,” and, later this month, will kick off her An Evening With PinkPantheress tour of North America.

New Trailer for Thai Sci-Fi ‘Project Genesis’ Time Travel Adventure Film

by Alex Billington
September 29, 2025
Source: YouTube

“Reset the timeline by sending out a signal…” Capelight Pictures has debuted the full trailer for a Thai sci-fi movie called Project Genesis, also known as Taklee Genesis, made by filmmaker Chookiat Sakveerakul. After first debuting last year (first teaser here), this is finally getting a US release direct-to-VOD / Blu-ray starting in October – in time for spooky season. A time-travel adventure that takes place during the Cold War when a US military base in Thailand was testing the Taklee Genesis, a warp-speed teleporter even though it had not yet been fully developed. After the war, the Taklee Genesis was left behind in Thailand and was being illegally used by someone. A striking blend of practical effects, CGI spectacle, and emotional storytelling, Project Genesis cements Sakveerakul’s reputation as one of Southeast Asia’s most imaginative genre filmmakers. There’s dinosaurs, monsters, time travel, and much more in this! Starring Paula Taylor, Peter Corp Dyrendal, Wanarat Ratsameerat, and Nutthacha Jessica Padovan. It’s a breathtaking, high-concept journey that fuses time-travel science fiction with kaiju, dinosaurs, cavemen, and zombies—a bold cinematic mashup that spans over 7,000 years of history. This looks totally crazy! Reminds me of that other Thai CGI movie Rebirth: Home Sweet Home recently. It’s definitely worth a look if you’re a sci-fi geek.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Chookiat Sakveerakul’s film Project Genesis, direct from YouTube:

Project Genesis Trailer

Project Genesis Poster

Scientist and single mother Stella (Paula Taylor) returns to her hometown after years away. One night, she receives a mysterious transmission on an old radio—it’s her long-lost father, missing for decades and now trapped in space within an alternate time configuration. To rescue him, Stella must track down the “Genesis Machine“, a relic of a classified CIA project hidden somewhere in Thailand. Her quest launches her into a kaleidoscopic journey through time and space—one that will pit her against prehistoric beasts, ancient tribes, mutant creatures, and the boundaries of reality itself. Project Genesis, also known as Taklee Genesis x Worlds Collide, is directed by Thai filmmaker Chookiat Sakveerakul, director of the films Evil, The 4 Movie, Grean Fictions, The Eyes Diary, Pay It Forward, Dew, Mondo, and many other new TV series recently. The screenplay is written by Chookiat Sakveerakul, Thanamas Dhalerngsuk, Sorawit Muangkaew. Produced by Monaiya Tharasak, Nakorn Phopairoj, and Kaweenipon Ketprasit. This initially premiered in Thailand one year ago in late 2024. Capelight Pictures will release Sakveerakul’s Project Genesis in the US direct-to-VOD / Blu-ray starting on October 21st, 2025 coming soon this fall. Anyone want to watch this?

Project Runway Season 21 Winner on Making History, Twin Feud

by jummy84 September 27, 2025
written by jummy84

[The following story contains spoilers from the Project Runway season 21 finale.]

Veejay Floresca made Project Runway history Thursday night, becoming the first transgender person to win the long-running reality show.

Her victory marked an undoubtedly historic moment for the franchise, though Floresca’s journey on the series will be remembered for numerous reasons. Aside from a history-making win, she was at the center of a season-long feud with twin contestants Jesus and Antonio Estrada; created a slew of compelling, winning designs; and approached each episode with an impeccable understanding of fashion with an undeniable entertainment factor that enticed the cameras.

Floresca is a self-proclaimed Project Runway super fan, and after years of applying to compete on the show, she tells The Hollywood Reporter season 21 was the “perfect timing” for her appearance due to a number of factors. Instead of feeling defeated when she didn’t make past editions of the show, the Filipino designer used those experiences as fuel that would eventually feed into her season 21 win.

“I always believe in destiny,” she says. “And because of those years [of not getting cast], I became more and more skilled, and you need skills to win Project Runway.”

Below, Floresca reflects on becoming the first trans woman to win the show, her feud with the Estrada twins, which of her Project Runway looks she hopes to be remembered for and why she wants to be “the next Christian Siriano.”

***

Before this season, you were on Project Runway Philippines and Hulu’s Dress My Tour. What made you want to appear on the mainstay Project Runway?

Why not, right? Project Runway is the most iconic fashion design reality show in the world. It started it all. It’s the original fashion design reality competition, and I’m a super fan. That’s the reason why I competed on Project Runway Philippines season one, because I’m a super fan of Project Runway U.S. Every season since I moved to the U.S., which is 2012, I’ve been auditioning [for] Project Runway. They would always say that it’s not my time yet, “You should apply again next season.” And that’s what I’ve been doing: apply, apply, apply, apply, until they got tired of me (laughs) and they were like, “Oh my God, it’s Veejay again, let’s give her a chance.” Fast forward, I’m part of Project Runway 21.

What about season 21 made it the perfect moment for you to be on the show?

I always believe in destiny. I always believe in hard work, determination, and never, ever lose hope in something that you’re very passionate about. Every time I would receive an email saying that I am not part of that season, instead of being sorry about myself, I felt that it’s not the right time yet. And season 21 is actually the perfect timing because Heidi came back. Like, if I have the opportunity to actually choose which season to compete, it will definitely be the season where Heidi is the host, because Project Runway is never the same without Heidi, right? So when I found out that Heidi is back, I was so excited and happy, and it’s the perfect timing, because I know who I am as a designer. And because of those years [of not getting cast], I became more and more skilled, and you need skills to win Project Runway.

You and the twins butted heads the entire competition, but your feud really reached a new level in the last two episodes. Did the tension amongst you three feel as heightened for you experiencing it as it appeared in those episodes?

Yeah, definitely. What they [show] on TV is actually real. And I keep telling people that Project Runway is a competition. Whether we like it or not, there’s always going to be one winner. Maybe in the near future, there [will be] a tie, we don’t know yet. Project Runway is a very crazy show, but you know there’s always going to be one winner. And I came into the competition telling myself and telling the people in the casting committee that if I’m going to be part of season 21, I promised myself that I’m going to be authentic. I’m going to be real and honest. And part of that authenticity, [is that] I am a very competitive person. And being in a competition, it’s like, as much as I want to hug everybody, I’m hugging you, but I’m stabbing you [in the back] at the same time, because it’s like, I gotta win. I’m doing this for myself. I’m doing this for my family, but I want to make sure that even though there’s tension between Jesus and Antonio, that tension is only there. It started there [on the show]; we’re gonna leave it there. But outside that, we’re all friends. We’re actually really good friends.

Given both you and Jesus’ backgrounds in reality TV, do you think that made both of you more inclined to lean into the drama?

I think that is most likely one of the reasons too. Because, for example, Jesus was part of Project Runway season seven, I was part of Project Runway Philippines and also I competed in Dress My Tour, so we’ve lost. And I think that loss is something that made us want this even more. And I actually expected that it’s going to be like that, you know, two competitive people in one show — what do you expect us to do, right? So I think that’s normal, and I’m glad that it happened, because whether we like it or not, it made the show really fun to watch. And I’m glad that we did that, not intentionally, because it created that narrative that it’s a competition. For those people who are planning to join for the next season, they gotta be ready, because it’s a very cutthroat industry.

In the finale episode, when you were dead set on working with Jessica [Jesus’ self-proclaimed favorite model], did you choose her to get underneath his skin?

Yes. It’s one of the most controversial things on the finale. And to tell you honestly, I chose Jessica, again, as a competitive reason. Jessica is a good model; she’s really fierce, she has this attitude, her body, her height, her walk — these are the things that you are looking for [in] a model. And as part of the competition, I actually feel that, for some reason, judges love Jessica. Like, whatever she wears, the judges love it. So to me, I’m like, I need to get her. So I stole Jessica from Jesus. And I didn’t even steal Jessica from Jesus, because Jesus did not own her to begin with. She’s up for grabs, so it just happened that I grabbed her first, but then again, the chaos happened, so I’m like, “Whatever, Jesus. I don’t want to steer drama again. This is Jessica, I’m gonna give [her back] to you.” But still, honestly, I didn’t even need to do that, right? Because you don’t own her.

‘Project Runway’ season 21 finale

Disney/Spencer Pazer

You are the first transgender person to win Project Runway. How does that feel?

It’s a big celebration for my community. It’s a big celebration for people who feel different. It’s a big hope to people who feel that they can achieve something because they’re trans or because they’re gay. And I want people to be inspired of my story, that it is possible. I think that fashion is a safe space for everybody who wants to be authentic. It’s an industry where we embrace diversity and uniqueness and inclusivity. So being able to carry that major [title of being the] first trans woman to ever win Project Runway is an opportunity that I’m thankful [for]. I will never, ever take it for granted, and I will even use this opportunity to speak to people, to inspire people, to make them feel that they are valid and they are enough to do whatever they want in life.

This season had a fully queer top three. Aside from your historic win, what did it mean for you to be a part of this group of queer designers that were in the top of Project Runway season 21?

It feels amazing. It feels that it’s relevant to what is happening today. What’s happening in our country, our rights are being taken away from us. I think that three queer people, members of the LGBT community, standing there, representing fashion, representing our homeland. You know, Jesus from Mexico, I am from the Philippines, Ethan is from the United States. So technically, it’s Miss Universe on stage. You know, Miss Mexico, Miss Philippines and Miss USA, right? Aside from that, it feels so good to share that stage with everybody, because I think that we’re not even supposed to talk about this anymore. I think gender orientation and sexual identity is just part of who we are, but it doesn’t define us. It doesn’t define our limitations, our creativity, our hard work. So I’m just really happy that I have that opportunity to share it with them.

Looking back on your career as a designer from this moment, having just won Project Runway, what would you tell your younger self?

I think I’ll just really tell Veejay, never, ever give up. It’s not going to be an easy journey. There’s going to be a lot of hurdles, a lot of obstacles, a lot of heartbreak, a lot of pain. But keep going, because you can use all those obstacles and challenges, and it will just make you a stronger person. And it’s going to be worth it, because you will be given that opportunity where you can share your experience in your life that will change people’s lives.

Disney/Spencer Pazer

If you could give any other fellow young queer kids who are aspiring designers and who may be nervous or unsettled given the political landscape any advice, what would you say to them?

Surround yourself with the people who love you. There’s gonna be someone out there who will love you, who will accept you for who you are. You just gotta find those people. That’s the first [piece of advice]. And then second is, know what you love to do. Because it sounds [like] just a cliche, but if you’re passionate about something, you’ll be successful. It takes a lot of hard work. It’s not going to be an easy road, for sure, but once you love [something], you want to do it more and more. And lastly, be kind. Kindness is free. I think that more people would want to work with kind people rather than talented people. I think when you’re kind, you attract good aura, good people. Because, you know what? Sometimes it’s better to be kind than to be right. So always choose kindness.

Looking back, which challenge was your favorite?

Oh, definitely the unconventional challenge, because I’m a super fan of the show. I think it’s the most iconic challenge of all time, and it’s one of the challenges I wish I won. But I really love it, because I think it really showed my innovation and my creativity.

Which look do you hope to be remembered for from your time on Project Runway?

It’s a toss between the shuttlecock [unconventional material look] and also the real client [look]. I think the real client challenge defines my work ethics. I’m really the type of person that I work with different people. And my goal when I work with people is I want to make you happy, I want to make you feel good. I want to make you love what you’re wearing, because the power of clothing and fashion is that it can transform you, [give you] self confidence and love yourself, bring out the best in you. I really love that challenge, and I’m glad that I did it, because I won’t forgive myself if I mess that up. I’m really happy that my client really loved that look.

Veejay Floresca’s unconventional and client challenge looks.

Disney/Spencer Pazer

Looking at your career post-Project Runway, do you have a dream client that you’d like to dress?

Yes, Zendaya is definitely one of my dream clients. I already actually have a design for her, I’m just waiting for Law [Roach] to call. And of course, I want to dress Nina Garcia and I want to dress Heidi Klum. My brand is inclusivity, I celebrate women of all ages, gender identity, size. So being able to work up with Nina, Heidi and Zendaya, and also, honestly, everybody. I hope they will trust me, because I love to work with everybody.

With your historic win and this life-changing opportunity, what is next for you in your career as a designer?

I will be the next Christian Siriano. I want to be remembered as Christian Siriano, who used the win to create a very strong brand. If there’s Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood of American Idol, there’s Veejay Floresca and Christian Siriano of Project Runway. That’s the goal, and that’s the reason why I joined, because I really want to grow the business and to have a brand. So I hope — not I hope, I will make that happen.

Kartik Aaryan And Luv Ranjan to Team Up for a Special Project Soon ?

by jummy84 September 26, 2025
written by jummy84

In 2011, Luv Ranjan and Kartik Aaryan collaborated for the first time on Pyaar Ka Punchnama, which unexpectedly became a success and gained a cult status among moviegoers. They collaborated again in 2015 for the sequel to Pyaar Ka Punchnama, which successfully continued the tradition of the first film and was well-received by audiences everywhere. They achieved a hat-trick in 2018 with Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, a box office success that also holds a special place in the hearts of the youth.

Seven years after the remarkable success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Kartik Aaryan and Luv Ranjan are reportedly teaming up once more. Reports by Pinkvilla suggest that Kartik Aaryan and Luv Ranjan are collaborating on a project that promises to be a complete entertainer, much like their previous successful films. A source close to the development revealed, “Luv Ranjan, and Kartik Aaryan have always been discussing a potential collaboration, and there’s finally a script that warrants the union of this duo responsible for as many as three pathbreaking entertainers. The film rolls in 2026 and is presently in the pre-production stage.”

While specific project details remain confidential, the source confirms that both Luv Ranjan and Kartik Aaryan are enthusiastic about their collaboration. The source added, “The film will mark the fifth collaboration for Kartik and Luv, which is one of the longest-standing actor-director relationship in the modern era.”

The casting and other aspects of the film will be locked in the coming months. The source concluded, “The Luv Ranjan style entertainment, will be packaged with strong music. It’s going to be Kartik Aaryan in an avatar that audiences love to see him in.” While Kartik Aaryan is currently busy prepping for his film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri to hit theatres on December 31, 2025, Luv Ranjan is set to release De De Pyaar De 2 on November 14, 2025.

Armenian project “Black Star Angel” claimed the top prize at the Asian Project Market (APM), a key component of Busan’s Asian Contents & Film Market, as organizers announced winners across 30 competing film projects.

Director Christine Haroutounian took home the highest honor — the APM Busan Award — for her second feature “Black Star Angel.” Eve Baswel’s “Heaven Helps Us!” and Yoon Eunkyoung’s “Gochi” emerged as the ceremony’s biggest winners, each securing two awards.

The three-day event, featuring pitching sessions and one-on-one meetings, connected filmmakers with international co-producers, financiers and global distributors.

Jordanian filmmaker Darin J. Sallam, whose debut “Farha” represented Jordan at the 95th Academy Awards, won the ArteKino International Award for her sophomore project “Churching of Women.”

Jury head Christian Jeune praised “Black Star Angel” as a “project shows great maturity in dealing with a universal question: what does it mean, ‘personal commitment,’ in a world torn by confuse and violence.”

“Busan is amazing. APM has just been like very welcoming and also very well organized,” Haroutounian told Variety. “I met people from all over the world with such different backgrounds. For them, to be able to really connect to this material that is very niche and very specific, really made me feel like I’m on the right track without diluting anything from the vision of the film.”

Warehouse Project bans phones from some events

by jummy84 September 8, 2025

Manchester’s Warehouse Project is set to introduce a no-phones policy for some of its events.

The ban will be in force during its shows in the Concourse section of the club at Depot Mayfield, with people required to place a sticker, which will be provided by the nightclub, over their phone’s cameras.

Clubgoers attending the full Warehouse Project (WHP) shows will be encouraged to keep their phones in their pockets, especially on the dancefloor.

Organisers said club culture was “best enjoyed in the moment with your friends, and your phone in your pocket”.

WHP follows the likes of other venues and performers who have implemented a ban on phones including Bob Dylan who introduced the policy for his UK tour last year.

In a note on their website, the WHP team said: “We know WHP can be a BIG experience and we don’t feel it’s always our place to try and enforce a strict no-phones policy.

“However, we feel that club culture is best enjoyed in the moment with your friends, and your phone in your pocket.”

The team said that they will not enforce a no-phones policy at full WHP shows, but there will be signs around the venue “asking people to simply respect those around them and limit use of phones generally whilst in the venue”.

They added: “At the end of each night, we’re planning to share a huge archive of professionally shot content (photos and video) from that night that will be fully prepared for you to use on your own socials.

“Every set will be shot by our in house team and you will have immediate access to it as soon as the music stops.”

Alison Oliver, Shazad Latif, and Hong Chau also star.

When is Wuthering Heights coming out?

The film will be released in theaters on February 13, 2026, which happens to be a Friday. Honestly, it feels pretty poignant to release the film on both a Friday the 13th and Valentine’s Day weekend.

Is there a trailer?

We’re still waiting for a full-length trailer; however, on September 3, Warner Bros. released the next best thing—a very erotic teaser trailer.

Set to Charli XCX’s “Everything Is Romantic” remix featuring Caroline Polachek, the teaser trailer gives viewers a sense of Fennell’s incredibly sensual interpretation of the classic. Scored by Charli XCX, the film is clearly intended as a tongue-in-cheek take on the Victorian classic, which is set several decades before it was published in 1847.

The stunning sets and wardrobes are a mix of old and new—at one point we see Robbie’s Catherine wearing rose-colored sunglasses—making it clear that this isn’t a rigidly faithful adaptation. Which is good news for fans of Saltburn’s rich scenery, which was deftly portrayed by Fennell.

What’s the controversy?

So far the teaser has earned mixed reviews from fans. In the YouTube comments, many Brontë loyalists bemoan that the adaptation appears to be all sexual tension and innuendo shots of fingers in fish mouths, when the actual book was more Victorian yearning.

“I fear they’re making it extremely sensual and provocative for shock value when the book had none of that at all,” wrote one user. Others pointed to the fact that the title is displayed with quotation marks, a clear signal that the source material is simply inspiration, not an exact playbook.

The film poster is even modeled in the style of a paperback romance novel, seeming to imply that the bodice ripping we see in the teaser may go further than violent exhalations and sexually aggressive stares.
