Prithviraj Sukumaran hails SS Rajamouli, calls Kumbha in Varanasi his most ‘complex and physically demanding’ character

Prithviraj Sukumaran also teased that working with SS Rajamouli has been a dream for him, and thanked him for the ‘torturous shooting process’ in Varanasi.

Earlier this month, filmmaker SS Rajamouli thrilled fans by unveiling the first look of Prithviraj Sukumaran as Kumbha, the formidable antagonist in his upcoming film Varanasi. Prithviraj was present at the Globe Trotter event in Hyderabad where he spoke at length about his collaboration with Rajamouli and said that his role in the film is ‘physically and emotionally exhausting’. What Prithviraj said

Talking on stage at the event, the actor shared, “I still have that message when I was in the middle of directing my own film, when Rajamouli sir said that for my next film, the part of the antagonist has been written, and it has come out very well. Would you like to be a part of it? I always wanted to work with him and he offered me Kumbha. Little did I know that he was going to trust me with one of the most complex, most physically and emotionally challenging characters he has thought of.”

‘SS Rajamouli pushing his extremes’

He then added, “Thank you sir for the most torturous shooting process in Varanasi. I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is SS Rajamouli taking Indian cinema to the world, at his most audacious. The scale, the vision, the ambition, it’s SS Rajamouli pushing his extremes to places never seen before.”

In reponse, Rajamouli joked: “Enda mashe, adipoli (What sir, fantastic)!”

Mahesh Babu headlines the film as Kumbha, with Priyanka Chopra playing Mandakini and Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the antagonist. The story follows an adventurous, globe-trotting hero who confronts powerful adversaries while navigating perilous missions across various countries. The film is touted to hit screens in 2027.

Last night, Mahesh Babu kicked off the fun on social media by tagging SS Rajamouli on X, writing, “November is here.” Rajamouli quickly replied, teasing, “Yes… you’re expecting a review of this film this month?” Mahesh then fired back with a playful jab, “Your always-in-the-making Mahabharata, sir… First things first. You promised us something in November. Keep your word.”

Rajamouli responded that it had already begun and that he would be revealing things one by one. Not one to back down, Mahesh Babu joked again, “How slow, sir? Will we start in 2030? For your information, our Desi Girl has been posting about every street in Hyderabad since January.” With that, he tagged Priyanka Chopra, and fans instantly caught the hint! Soon after, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran jumped into the conversation, playfully confirming their involvement. Rajamouli, realizing the surprise had been spoiled, jokingly expressed mock anger at Mahesh Babu.

Parvathy Thiruvothu Finishes Filming for Prithviraj Sukumaran’s I, Nobody

Parvathy Thiruvothu has wrapped up filming her portions for i, Nobody, the upcoming psychological drama starring Prithviraj Sukumaran. On Sunday, she took to social media to share photographs from her last day on set, featuring moments with co-star Prithviraj and director Nissam Basheer.

A Warm Farewell to the Shoot

In her post, Parvathy wrote about how meaningful it is to be part of projects that explore deeply human emotions. “Never once taking for granted the opportunities to be part of teams that come together to tell compelling, human stories,” she shared, describing her final day of filming as a “heart-warming” one. Her note quickly drew admiration from fans who praised her sincerity and passion for storytelling.

i, Nobody brings Parvathy and Prithviraj together once again after their previous collaborations in City of God, Ennu Ninte Moideen, My Story, and Koode. The pair has often been celebrated for their striking on-screen chemistry and their ability to bring emotional depth to complex characters.


Collaboration and Creative Exchange

In her note, Parvathy spoke about the experience of working with familiar collaborators and the spirit of teamwork that shaped the project. “Another one in the can with Prithviraj Sukumaran, with Nissam Basheer leading the way and Sameer Abdul the writer eagerly collaborating and creating the characters every step along the way,” she wrote.

She also extended her gratitude to producer Supriya Menon for supporting the film. “Thank you for producing this mighty urgent story,” Parvathy said, adding that the dedication of the entire crew made her job easier. “Thank you to the whole team that made it easy for me to show up to my best capacity every day on set,” she shared.

i, Nobody reunites director Nissam Basheer and writer Sameer Abdul after their widely appreciated 2022 film Rorschach, which starred Mammootty. The new project is jointly produced by Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment. On the technical side, the film features Dinesh Purushothaman as cinematographer, Harshavardhan Rameshwar as music composer, and Ramees MB as editor. Although plot details are being kept under wraps, industry insiders suggest that i, Nobody will be a gripping character-driven film that delves into identity and inner conflict. 


What Lies Ahead for Parvathy

Parvathy will next be seen in Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar, in which she plays a police officer for the first time in her Malayalam film career. The role is expected to bring out a new dimension of her acting range.

She is also part of Storm, an upcoming Hindi web series backed by Hrithik Roshan and set to premiere on Prime Video. Known for her fearless performances and discerning choice of roles, Parvathy continues to strike a balance between mainstream and independent projects across languages.

Customs Department Raised Prithviraj Sukumaran And Dulquer Salman House, Seized Their Luxury Cars

The Customs Department is conducting raids across Kerala as part of Operation Numkhor, aimed at uncovering a gang involved in smuggling luxury vehicles left behind by the Bhutanese army. The operation has led to the seizure of 11 vehicles from seven locations in Kozhikode and Mallapuram, including a Land Cruiser, Land Rover, Tata SUV, and Mahindra Tata truck. The raids have drawn attention due to the involvement of Malayalam actors Prithviraj and Dulquer Salmaan.

According to some of the media reports, Dulquer Salmaan’s car has been seized, and Prithviraj’s vehicles are being examined after the detailed examination and inspection of their homes. Apart from this, the actors have also been asked to disclose any other vehicles they own and bring them to the authorities so that the authorities can verify them.

Let us tell you that the Customs Department alleges that smugglers are registering luxury vehicles in Himachal Pradesh using fake documents and then shipping them to Kerala. Approximately 15 cases of expensive vehicles being brought in from Bhutan without paying taxes have been reported in the state and that is the reason why detailed examination of vehicles is underway in Kerala.

If we talk this investigation, then let us tell you that the Customs Department will collect documents and evidence recovered during the raid and take legal action against all those who will be found responsible for this theft and forgery. This investigation is being called Operation Numkhor and is still ongoing, and officials are working to uncover the entire smuggling network which is running the state and getting fraud vehicles registered in the state without proper documentation and bringing them from other states of the country.
