King Charles wants to “protect and prioritise our planet”.

King Charles will feature in the TV film

The 76-year-old monarch is set to feature in a new TV film, provisionally titled Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision, which will air on Prime Video in 2026.

Charles said: “For much of my life I have sought to promote and encourage ways we can work with, rather than against Nature. In other words, to restore balance to our planet which is under such stress.

“Never has it been more important for the world to make a concerted effort to protect and prioritise our planet, and to restore our relationship with it. It is therefore my fondest hope that this film may encourage a new audience to learn about the philosophy of Harmony – and perhaps inspire the same sense of determination it has given me to help build a more sustainable future.”

The film has been directed by Nicolas Brown, who thinks it will leave people “feeling uplifted and motivated”.

Nicolas said: “This is a story of hope and resilience. People who watch this film will leave feeling uplifted and motivated. The King’s philosophy offers something for everyone. Mostly, he shows us the power of resilience – and how following your intuition can transform the world.”

The director explained that the film made him “aware of how important this story is”.

Nicolas said: “Remarkably few people around the world know the full depth of the King’s lifelong battle to bring nature and humanity into harmony. Even today, His Majesty’s work with The King’s Foundation is transforming the world in so many inspiring ways.”

Meanwhile, Charles previously described climate change as the “wolf at the door”.

The monarch joined forces with Tony Juniper, a former Friends of the Earth director, and Cambridge University climate scientist Emily Shuckburgh to write a book about the challenges and possible solutions to the issue of climate change.

In his foreword for the book, he wrote: “I hope this modest attempt to alert a global public to the ‘wolf at the door’ will make some small contribution towards encouraging requisite action; action that must be urgently scaled up, and scaled up now.”

Jay Electronica: A Written Testimony: Leaflets / A Written Testimony: Power at the Rate of My Dreams / A Written Testimony: Mars, the Inhabited Planet Album Review

Conspiracies aside, Jay Electronica hasn’t missed a step when it comes to craft. “Ashes to Ashes,” from Power at the Rate of My Dreams, is arguably the most beautiful track out of the collection and hits on all the notes that make engaging the New Orleans native worth the frequent absences and head-scratching beliefs. He takes the Brazilian icon Jorge Ben Jor’s 1969 hit “Domingas,” slows it down, and delivers a mesmerizing stream-of-consciousness verse about his approach to life. “The long road to one’s own destiny ain’t paved/This treacherous path through the wilderness is only for the brave,” he starts, before honoring enslaved ancestors and leaning on that lineage to find peace in the fact that, when his time comes, he will be immortalized in his work. “Letter to Mars,” from Mars, The Inhabited Planet, is addressed to his daughter he shares with Erykah Badu. Originally released as an outtake from A Written Testimony in October 2020 on his own Discord channel, the song marks the beginning of the third and final installment of this new chapter. On it, he speaks of how long it’s taken him to resurface—a process that, by his estimation, was informed by a constant push-and-pull of dark and light forces within. Vocals from Thom Yorke’s “Bloom (Live From Electric Lady Studios)” add melancholic effect.

At his best, Electronica is painfully human. Throughout the duration of a project (and sometimes a single song), he goes from someone burdened by the weight of life, justifiably reclusive, to someone whose chest swells with spiritual belief, commitment to community, and trust in his artistic merit. He reveals these ebbs and flows lyrically, but is just as effective at communicating through voice recordings, selected film scenes, and knowing when to let a track breathe without his rapping present. Leaflets track “Four Billion, Four Hundred Million (4,400,000,000) / The Worst Is Yet to Come” begins with a clip of Stevie Wonder making an impromptu theme song for Soul Train in 1973. The rising New York singer Kelly Moonstone gets a chance to show her chops on Mars’ serene “… shine for me.” Electronica’s own crooning on the hook of “Japan Airline 1628” is so convincing that you may pause to try and find out who it is. And in using Michael Caine’s breakdown of a magic trick from The Prestige for “Dear Mr. Blain, I Won.,” he gives insight into why Act II: The Patents of Nobility (the turn) is always disappearing from streaming platforms.

?????????????????????????????????????????

The Barbican welcomes more than 1,000 delegates for the World Design Congress 2025 today.

World Design Congress 2025 will explore how design can accelerate action on the climate and nature crisis. Hosted by the UK’s Design Council on behalf of the World Design Organization, the Congress returns to London for the first time in over 50 years and brings 1,000 members of the international design community together at the Barbican Centre, with both in-person and online participation.

Across keynotes, conversations and hands-on “hive” workshops, the programme examines the Design Council’s Design for Planet mission, spanning circularity, net zero and the regeneration of places, while fostering collaboration between designers, business leaders, policymakers, researchers and educators.

Highlights include headline speakers such as Lord Norman Foster, alongside contributors including Thomas Heatherwick, Mariana Mazzucato, Charlot Magayi and Bas van Abel; the Congress will also feature a special presentation of the WDO World Design Medal 2025 honouring Dieter Rams.

“Welcoming the World Design Congress to the Barbican is a proud moment for our team and for London,” said Charlie Smith, Deputy Head of Sales at the Barbican.  “Our incredible architecture, world-class spaces and commitment to sustainable events make this the ideal home for a Congress dedicated to ‘Design for Planet’. Together with the Design Council, we’re set to host two days that spark action as well as inspiration.”

Matthew Burgess, Senior Events Manager at the Design Council added:  “We’ve designed this Congress to be a catalyst – bringing designers, business, policymakers and communities together to accelerate climate action. From headline keynotes to hands-on hive sessions, the programme is built to share practical tools, foster collaboration and leave a measurable legacy. We’ve applied our Design Value Framework to track the impact of our decisions across the two days, and working with the Barbican we’re modelling the future we’re advocating.”

Over the next two days the Barbican will feature inspirational keynotes, provocative discussions, intimate conversations, unconferences, book launches and activations, onsite and online, underscoring the venue and the City’s role as a global hub for world-leading design and events.
