Bigg Boss 19: Amaal Mallik Apologises To Awez Darbar For Past Cheating Remarks; Abhishek Bajaj-Farrhana Bhatt Clash Over Personal Belongings

by jummy84 September 27, 2025
written by jummy84

Day 34 inside the Bigg Boss 19 house was packed with drama, emotions, and confrontations that shook the equilibrium among contestants. What began with an attempt at reconciliation between Amaal and Awez soon spiralled into personal disputes, unexpected alliances, and a high-voltage captaincy task that divided the house. By the end of the day, Farrhana emerged as the new captain, while tempers flared and unresolved tensions continued to simmer.

The day began on a softer note when Amaal addressed his earlier remarks about Awez’s past relationship. Awez, visibly emotional, expressed his disappointment, saying, “I know a lot of things about Baseer, but I never spoke about them. Even when Abhishek kept asking, I chose not to say anything because I knew he would use it against me. People on your side only talk to demean you. Why not talk about the effort? Nobody is perfect. The audience sees everything—if you hang out with those people, it creates a wrong perspective about you.”

He added that he never fakes bonds for visibility, even if it costs him the game. In response, Amaal owned up to his mistake, clarifying, “If you felt hurt, I’m genuinely sorry. I’m not apologising to look good on the show—I know you from outside, and my apology comes from the heart.” The exchange helped ease the tension between the two, drawing attention from other housemates as well.

Nehal Warns About Tanya’s Influence

Later, Nehal confided in Kunickaa and Neelam, telling them that Tanya was trying to use their goodwill and control their game. She insisted they weren’t realising Tanya’s manipulation, which made Neelam distance herself slightly from Tanya. However, Neelam admitted she was still unsure whether to trust Nehal fully, creating further uncertainty in the dynamics.

Abhishek-Farrhana’s Clash Over Personal Belongings

A small misunderstanding quickly escalated into a major fight between Abhishek and Farrhana. It began when Farrhana noticed her quilt had been thrown off her bed, and although Abhishek denied involvement, she suspected him, leaving her frustrated. Things turned serious when Abhishek discovered Farrhana had used his towel. He confronted her angrily, calling it a breach of personal hygiene.

Farrhana defended herself: “Tanya handed me the towel after I came out of the pool. I just needed something to cover myself—it wasn’t intentional.” Abhishek remained firm: “Even then, you should have checked. Why would you use someone else’s personal hygiene item?” The argument snowballed, with Abhishek demanding an apology, and Farrhana refusing: “I didn’t take it from your suitcase. I was given the towel, so I used it. I won’t apologise.” The spat drew in other housemates, but neither backed down, leaving the issue unresolved.

Captaincy Task Divides The House

The captaincy task saw housemates choosing between Farrhana and Gaurav as contenders. Contestants had to place a black garland on the person they didn’t want as captain and explain their reason. The session was rife with fiery comments: Kunickaa called Farrhana “nihayati badtameez, besharam aur bekaar ladki,” while Ashnoor labelled her “gand” and said she lacked boundaries. Nehal, however, garlanded Gaurav, saying she wanted a woman to lead the house, while Amaal also went against Gaurav.

Abhishek targeted Farrhana, calling her “unhygienic” and unfit to lead, as she couldn’t separate her personal issues from maintaining household peace. Awez and Pranit also garlanded Farrhana, while Mridul supported Gaurav, calling him a “gentleman.” Tanya surprised everyone by garlanding Gaurav despite liking him, openly admitting, “I’m a flipper, and since I’m good friends with Farrhana, I want her to be the captain.” In the end, the votes swung against Gaurav, and Farrhana emerged as the new captain despite the barrage of criticism directed at her.

Gaurav’s Outburst After Losing

The loss hit Gaurav hard, and he vented his frustration at the housemates. He accused them of being unfair and hiding behind friendships: “Everyone kept saying I don’t play on the front foot. This was my chance to prove myself as captain, and you all know I would have managed the house better than Farrhana. You’ve lost the right to call me out now.” His emotional outburst left the house divided, with some housemates agreeing he had been denied a fair chance.

Tanya Refuses Dinner Duty

Tensions rose again when Tanya refused to perform her dinner duty, upset over Abhishek repeatedly calling her a “flipper.” Farrhana intervened, asking why Abhishek, Kunickaa, and Ashnoor were attacking Tanya despite her efforts in the kitchen. Abhishek bluntly replied that Tanya had herself admitted to being a flipper, which further irritated Tanya and sparked another round of arguments.

Amaal vs Nehal Over Voting Choices

Amaal clashed with Nehal after Zeishan pointed out that her voting decisions appeared inconsistent. Nehal explained she had wanted to save Amaal’s group, but later felt guilty seeing another group’s strong performance. Amaal accused her of showing empathy towards rivals instead of supporting her own side, warning that her words could be used against them. The argument left Nehal emotional, and she later broke down in front of Farrhana, confessing she regretted her decisions and felt conflicted after hearing things in the secret room.

Morning Spat Between Amaal and Tanya

The day started with friction as Amaal got upset over a joke Tanya made about the captaincy task. He felt her comment was unnecessary and disrespectful, leading to a sharp exchange. Tanya broke down in tears after Amaal’s harsh tone, though he later tried to pacify her. Their heated argument eventually ended with an apology and a hug, but the tension lingered, leaving both emotionally drained.

Ektaa Kapoor Denies Weightloss ‘Dig’ At Ram Kapoor, Reveals Personal Struggles

by jummy84 September 26, 2025
written by jummy84

Filmmaker Ektaa Kapoor recently found herself in the spotlight, accused of taking a subtle dig at actor Ram Kapoor for his significant weight loss on social media. However, in a recent conversation with India Today, Ektaa decisively clarified the misunderstanding, explaining that her comments were not aimed at the actor but were, in fact, a reference to her own upcoming show and a personal struggle with weight. This clarification sheds light on the often-misinterpreted nature of social media posts and the public’s tendency to connect dots where none exist.

Ektaa unequivocally dismissed claims about taking a dig at Ram Kapoor’s weight loss. She explained the context behind her social media post, which had been widely misconstrued. “I am going to take a moment to tell everyone, this was exactly one week before I launched the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain promo, where the promo itself had a line that the girl is trying on an outfit and she’s a large size and wants to fit into a medium. Again, dealing with body-shaming, self-doubt and self-assurance,” Ektaa stated. Her post was intended to align with the themes of body image and self-acceptance explored in her show. “This was taken in a completely different direction. The very next video I put up immediately after that was about how we, as women, should start accepting ourselves.”

Ektaa Kapoor Questions Ram Kapoor Analogy

She expressed genuine bewilderment at how Ram Kapoor became entangled in the narrative. “I have no idea how Ram Kapoor, who is neither a woman, nor on television currently, and not battling any weight issues – he’s lost a lot of weight – came into the picture. I was like, really? It’s like I am talking about my hair and somebody somewhere else says, ‘Oh, you called me bald.’ Why would I do that?” This analogy vividly illustrates her frustration with the misinterpretation and the unfounded assumptions made by a segment of the audience.

Ektaa further revealed a personal connection to the topic, admitting that she is grappling with her own weight issues. She stated that she is perfectly fine with people using weight-loss drugs like Ozempic, and may even consider trying one herself as she feels “stuck” at the moment. Her decision is not purely aesthetic; she mentioned that she is also considering it due to persistent pain in her joints caused by inflammation, highlighting a health-driven motivation rather than just superficial concerns.

The Viral Weight Loss Debate and Social Media Ripples

The entire controversy ignited earlier this year in March when Ram Kapoor stunned everyone with his dramatic weight loss transformation. His new physique became a major talking point, with many internet users speculating that he had achieved his results by using Ozempic, a pharmaceutical drug known for its weight-loss effects. Ram Kapoor later clarified that he was not using the drug and had, in fact, worked diligently on his fitness through rigorous exercise and diet.

Shortly after Ram’s transformation, Ektaa Kapoor shared a video that was widely interpreted as an indirect dig at him. In the video, she openly discussed weight loss options, saying, “What do I do? I’ve gained a lot of weight. Should I do an anti-inflammatory diet? Mounjaro? Ozempic? All of the above? Zip my mouth? Ya chhod dun? Hum bade hi acche lagte hain! (Or shall I leave it? Because I look good just the way I am)!” In the caption, she pointedly wrote: “Ozempic ho jaye.” This post, coupled with its timing, fueled the perception that it was aimed at Ram Kapoor, especially given the ongoing Ozempic speculation surrounding him.

The situation escalated when Ram Kapoor’s wife, Gautami Kapoor, posted a video on Instagram mimicking Ektaa’s video, adding her own pointed comments. Gautami said, “Should I do an anti-inflammatory diet? Should I take Mounjaro? Should I take Ozempic (pharmaceutical drugs), or all of the above? Or should I just zip my mouth? But I think mere liye gym hi kaafi hai (For me, the gym is enough).” She concluded her video with a clear dig at Ektaa’s popular show, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, by saying, “Kyunki humein bade nahi, chhote hi achhe lagte hain.” Her caption further clarified her stance: “Let people do what they like… live and let live… at the end, what matters is health, happiness, and peace (sic).” This exchange highlighted a simmering tension and a misunderstanding that has now been addressed by Ektaa.

Meanwhile, Ektaa Kapoor continues to be a prolific producer. She is currently garnering praise for her Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi reboot, which also marks Smriti Irani’s much-anticipated comeback to the screen as her iconic character, Tulsi. The show, despite facing stiff competition from Rupali Ganguly’s Anupamaa, has still managed to secure a top position in the TRP charts, showcasing Ektaa’s continued dominance in television. She also has the film Vvan: Force Of The Forest in the pipeline. Backed by Ektaa and directed by Deepak Mishra, the film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles and is scheduled for release in cinemas in 2026.

Heidi Klum has marked her son Henry’s 20th birthday by sharing a series of personal photographs and tributes on Instagram to her boy.

Heidi Klum has marked her son Henry’s 20th birthday by sharing a series of personal photographs and tributes on Instagram to her boy

The supermodel, 52, posted images of Henry – who she had with her singer ex-husband Seal – throughout the years, from childhood snapshots to more recent pictures to mark him turning 20 on Friday (12.09.25.)

She captioned her carousel of snaps: “We love you all so very much (red heart emoji) HENRY (red heart emoji.)”

The photos included images of Heidi cuddling Henry as a child, a picture of him smiling as a baby, and more recent shots of him playing a video game and looking into the camera.

Henry is one of four children Heidi shares with her former husband Seal, 62.

Their other children are Johan, Lou and Leni.

In August, Heidi shared a selfie with Henry, Johan and Leni as she moved one of her children into a college dorm in New York City.

She captioned the post: “College move in day NYC (red heart and Statue of Libreryty emojis.)”

That same month, Heidi attended the return of Kith’s runway show in New York, where Henry made his debut on the catwalk.

Posting photos and videos from the event, Heidi said: “So many beautiful Models on the @kith catwalk in New York tonight, but I only have eyes for you @henrygunthersamuel.”

The show took place on the streets of NoHo outside Kith’s renovated flagship store and was the label’s first runway event in six years.

Henry appeared in a denim-on-denim look, including a light wash jacket and jeans layered over a white bomber jacket and collared shirt, styled with white trainers.

The appearance came shortly after Henry signed a modelling contract with Next Management.

In a statement released by the agency in July, he said: “I’ve grown up around fashion and entertainment, but stepping into this world myself is a whole new experience.

“I’m grateful to Next Management for this opportunity and excited to learn, grow, and find my own voice in the industry.”

From Personal Checklist to Industry Game-Changer: How One Consultant’s AI Experiment Is Transforming Event Strategy

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

How Dr. Barış Onay‘s simple productivity hack became a free tool used by 400+ events worldwide and what it means for the future of our industry

Every event professional knows the drill: a new project lands on your desk, and you’re back to square one. Competitor research, market analysis, strategic positioning – the same diagnostic dance, different venue. For Dr. Barış Onay, this repetitive cycle sparked an experiment that would eventually reshape how the events industry approaches strategic analysis.

The Problem: Reinventing the Wheel, Every Single Time

Working across multiple projects for event organisers and private equity investors, Onay found himself trapped in a familiar pattern. Each new engagement demanded the same foundational work: market orientation, competitor mapping, sector signal analysis, and strategic option development.

“I kept rewriting the same framework for every board deck,” Onay recalls. “The process was valuable, but it consumed enormous amounts of time and offered little differentiation from project to project.”

Sound familiar? In an industry where speed-to-insight often determines competitive advantage, this inefficiency represents more than just wasted hours – it’s a barrier to strategic thinking.

The Solution: From AI Experiment to Industry Standard

What started as a personal productivity hack has evolved into something far more significant. Onay’s Event Strategy Bot – now deployed across 400+ events globally – demonstrates how artificial intelligence can transform industry workflows without replacing human expertise.

The journey began simply: Onay started pasting event URLs into his AI workspace to extract basic overviews, competitor lists, and sector trends. The early results were rough, but they were consistent. And in the events industry, where comparable baselines are often elusive, consistency proved revolutionary.

A Disciplined Approach to Event Intelligence

Today’s Event Strategy Bot follows a rigorous ten-step methodology:

Foundation Building:

  • Event overview and performance signal extraction
  • Competitor comparison tables with standardised metrics
  • Sector evaluation and positioning analysis

Strategic Development:

  • Industry calendar integration and timing analysis
  • Content and programming assessment
  • SWOT analysis with sector-specific frameworks

Action Planning:

  • Technology stack evaluation
  • Growth opportunity synthesis
  • “Where to play, how to win” strategic recommendations

The key differentiator? Every output uses normalised units, controlled vocabularies, and schema-based competitor tables. This means you can finally place two different events side-by-side without interpretive gymnastics.

Why This Matters: Privacy, Speed, and Industry Evolution

Privacy by Design

Unlike many AI tools, the Bot runs entirely within users’ own ChatGPT environments. No data sharing, no external storage – a crucial feature for teams working under NDAs or handling sensitive competitive intelligence.

Democratising Strategic Intelligence

Perhaps most significantly, Onay made the tool completely open access. His reasoning cuts to the heart of industry collaboration: “The true value in the strategy process doesn’t lie in the initial analysis. That’s just the starting point. The impact comes from leveraging experience to interpret and act on it.”

Real-World Impact

The numbers speak volumes: 400+ events analysed across diverse sectors and geographies. Consultants report faster project kickoffs, organisers gain clearer competitive positioning, and investors make more informed decisions with standardised baselines.

The Human Element: What AI Can’t (and Shouldn’t) Replace

Onay is refreshingly candid about limitations. The Bot doesn’t replace primary research, financial modelling, or stakeholder conversations. Instead, it accelerates the diagnostic phase and ensures obvious questions aren’t overlooked.

Three critical pitfalls emerge when teams over-rely on automated analysis:

  1. Treating outputs as absolute truths rather than testable hypotheses
  2. Neglecting citation verification and source credibility assessment
  3. Failing to adapt recommendations to specific organisational contexts

“Teams lose their edge only if they stop thinking,” Onay cautions. “The framework is just the starting point. What matters is the thinking and decisions that follow.”

Industry Implications: A New Operating Model

The Bot’s success hints at broader transformations ahead. Onay predicts role evolution across the events ecosystem:

  • Consultants will become insight integrators rather than data gatherers
  • Organisers will operate more like portfolio managers with systematic decision frameworks
  • Investors will make quicker, more evidence-based decisions with standardised due diligence

For M&A activity and new event launches, the implications are particularly significant. By compressing the path to credible first analysis, structured AI introduces discipline and stage gates that accelerate decision-making while clarifying next-step priorities.

Looking Forward: Efficiency Meets Human Judgement

Onay plans to keep the core Bot narrow, free, and transparent while exploring modular add-ons for enhanced efficiency. A second bot is already in development, suggesting this is just the beginning of AI-powered industry transformation.

The broader lesson transcends any single tool: the highest-performing teams will combine structured AI capabilities with human judgement and proprietary data. It’s not about replacement but about amplification.

The Bottom Line

What began as one consultant’s attempt to avoid repetitive work has become a shared industry resource used by hundreds of events worldwide. The Event Strategy Bot represents something larger than productivity improvement – it’s a glimpse into an industry operating with greater transparency, comparability, and strategic focus.

In a sector where competitive advantage often comes from superior intelligence rather than proprietary technology, tools that democratise baseline analysis while preserving strategic differentiation may be exactly what the industry needs.

The framework provides the starting point. The real value – as always – lies in what we do next.

The Event Strategy Bot is available as a free, open-access Custom GPT. Users can access it through their own ChatGPT environments, ensuring complete data privacy and control.

Krish clarifies he did not walk out on Hari Hara Veera Mallu due to Pawan Kalyan; blames ‘personal issues’

Updated on: Sept 01, 2025 03:17 pm IST

Director Krish broke silence about walking out of Hari Hara Veera Mallu while promoting his upcoming film Ghaati with Anushka Shetty.

Director Krish Jagarlamudi was supposed to direct Pawan Kalyan’s historic epic film Hari Hara Veera Mallu before he walked out of the project in early 2024. Producer AM Rathnam’s son, filmmaker Jyothi Krisna, had to take over the directing duties, with the film only releasing in July this year. While promoting his upcoming film Ghaati, here’s what Krish said about walking out of the project.

Krish was the director of Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu before he walked out of the project.

Krish clarifies why he walked out of HHVM

Krish spoke to the press in Hyderabad over the weekend about his upcoming film Ghaati. Claiming that he had nothing but respect for Pawan and Rathnam, he said, “I directed a portion of Hari Hara Veera Mallu. I have nothing but love and respect for Pawan Kalyan and AM Rathnam. When I was a kid, I saw Surya movies (Mega Surya Productions) and always dreamt of working with him. I have always been inspired by him.”

Krish also spoke about why he walked out of the project, mostly blaming Covid and his personal issues, though he did bring up scheduling conflicts. “We had some issues with the schedule, and Covid hit after we began shooting. I also had a few personal issues that prompted me to walk out of the project. And then Jyothi Krisna had to pick up where I left off. Since then, I have concentrated completely on Ghaati,” he said.

The making of HHVM

Pawan okayed the script of HHVM in 2019 and underwent a look test for it in early 2020. The film went on floors, and soon, Krish confirmed that he was working on a period film with Pawan. The film’s title was announced in 2021. Though initially marketed as a single film, in May 2024, the production house announced that it would be released in two parts after rumours of Krish walking out and the project being shelved began spreading. It was announced that Jyothi had taken over the project.

Speculations were rife that Krish had walked out as Pawan was juggling shooting for the film with campaigning for the Andhra Pradesh elections. He finished shooting for the film this year after winning the elections last year and becoming the Deputy CM of AP. Krish, however, stayed mum on his walkout till now. Ghaati will be released in theatres on 5 September. HHVM was released in theatres in July this year to mostly negative reviews and made ₹116.82 crore worldwide.

You also described the film as a sort of scrapbook, and I was interested in how you took that idea of the scrapbook—which is such a physical, tangible thing—and translated it into the medium of film.

It’s funny, because at the very beginning, the working title for this film was Scrapbook for Venus. It was the idea of the notebook of a filmmaker at work, that it would be a compilation of all the artworks that inspire me, that put me to work, that make me think. I like the idea that that remains throughout the film without the title actually revealing it. This film is nourished by all of that, by all these artworks, by all these texts that I had the opportunity to discover through my time in the United States, by the time that I spent wandering around in Bed-Stuy in Brooklyn, all the films that I made before. For instance, there’s a painting by Leonardo da Vinci, La Belle Ferronnière, which really determined the framing in Saint Omer. There’s also a painting by Rembrandt, which is one of my favorite images, that has really influenced how I film. And so, in a sense, this film is a collage of all these different images that have inspired me.

As a director, you have a wonderful eye for costume and its power as a storytelling device. What was your process in terms of integrating the Miu Miu clothes into the film? It felt very organic, but was it a challenge at all?

It wasn’t a challenge at all. For me, fashion is serious business. It’s political business, it’s aesthetic business, it’s cultural business—to dress Sephora in these clothes, a woman who does not have a normative body; to put Kayije basically inside a painting, The Wedding at Cana, through working on the color tones of her costumes. It was really interesting to look at Kayije’s clothes through that lens. These are philosophical and political questions, and playing with the costumes in that regard was really a pleasure, not a challenge. Really, it was at the root of the film as a political question. Questioning the beauty of clothing on a body like Sephora’s is, in my eyes, practically a political statement.

Why MyIQ Links Gamification to Personal Growth – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 August 28, 2025
written by jummy84

As digital self-assessment platforms evolve, MyIQ has distinguished itself by using gamification not as a gimmick, but as a thoughtful approach to encourage user participation and create a more engaging experience.

Over the past decade, cognitive testing has shifted from static, one-off assessments to dynamic, interactive experiences. MyIQ has emerged as part of this transformation, combining psychometric-style assessments with game-like elements intended to encourage motivation and engagement. This integration of gameplay mechanics and scientific rigor is one of the platform’s defining strengths.

The science behind gamified intelligence testing

While some associate gamification with casual entertainment, MyIQ uses it to deepen the learning process. Its adaptive IQ tests are rooted in established cognitive science, adjusting in difficulty as users respond. Layered onto this are achievement systems, time-based challenges, and progressive difficulty curves — all designed to increase engagement without compromising the validity of results.  According to multiple MyIQ reviews, these elements make the platform feel less like an exam and more like an ongoing, purposeful challenge.

Data collected during these gamified exercises extends beyond right or wrong answers. MyIQ tracks reaction times, strategy patterns, and consistency, feeding this information into detailed post-test reports. These elements are designed to make the platform feel less like a traditional exam and more like an ongoing, purposeful challenge.

MyIQ associates gamification with sustained growth

One of the challenges in self-assessment is keeping users engaged after the novelty fades. MyIQ addresses this by creating a continuous feedback loop: users complete an assessment, receive targeted recommendations, and engage with brain training games designed to strengthen specific cognitive skills. Over 150 puzzles and training exercises are available, many of which build on previous performance to encourage steady improvement.

This structured progression mirrors effective learning models in education and skill development. By breaking goals into achievable milestones, myiq.com fosters a sense of accomplishment that motivates users to return. This incremental approach is presented as a way to encourage continued use over time.

From assessment to actionable intelligence

Gamification in MyIQ is not limited to the testing phase. Post-assessment tools such as cognitive drills, personality quizzes, and relationship style analyses are embedded within an interactive framework. Users can track their growth over time, comparing past and present scores in a visual, game-like dashboard.

This interactivity turns abstract data into tangible progress markers. For many, the experience feels less like receiving a static score and more like participating in a personalized development program.

Accessibility and inclusivity in a gamified format

Gamification also enhances accessibility. The clean, mobile-friendly interface and culturally neutral design of puzzles and challenges make MyIQ appealing to a global audience. Whether accessed on desktop or smartphone, the experience remains consistent, engaging, and easy to navigate. The platform is designed for broad usability across diverse regions.

The affordability of myiq.com compared to traditional in-person testing further expands its reach. By lowering barriers to entry while maintaining high testing standards, MyIQ has brought credible cognitive development tools to users who might otherwise never experience them.

Cultural significance of gamified personal growth

The popularity of gamified learning in language apps, fitness trackers, and mental health platforms shows a wider cultural shift toward interactive self-improvement. MyIQ taps into this trend with a model that combines the credibility of scientific testing with the motivational benefits of game design.

In doing so, myiq.com reflects a generational preference for tools that are both productive and enjoyable to use. This balance of utility and engagement is a core reason why the platform has built a loyal global user base.

Looking ahead — gamification’s role in the future of MyIQ

As adaptive AI, real-time analytics, and personalized learning pathways advance, the role of gamification in self-assessment is set to grow. MyIQ’s commitment to integrating these tools thoughtfully — prioritizing accuracy alongside engagement — positions it as a model for future platforms.

Users value more than just a score; they want an experience that challenges, teaches, and rewards them. By embedding gamification into every stage of the user journey, myiq.com offers exactly that, setting a benchmark for personal growth platforms worldwide.

Film:
Half CA Season 2

Bubble Rating:
3.0 stars

Director: Pratish Mehta

Writers: Harish Peddinti, CA Khushbu Baid, Tatsat Pandey

Cast: Ahsaas Channa, Prit Kamani, Gyanendra Tripathi, Aishwarya Ojha, Anmol Kajani, Rohan Joshi

Half CA Season 2 Review

The new season begins with new challenges for everyone. ‘Archie’ Ahsaas Channa and ‘Niraj’ Gyanendra Tripathi are set to face their exams-article and final CA exams soon, respectively. However, have we ever heard life is that simple? There are certainly some things to sort be it in relationships or exam stress.

Archie and Tejas (Prit Kamani) have a secret love blooming which is not known to Vishal (Anmol Kajani) and Parth (Rohan Joshi). Archie is still stressed with her exams and managing her articleship. Both she and Parth struggled to find a good firm for their article.

Meanwhile, Niraj meets his past lover, Kavya in the same academy where he is preparing. Their past has a lot to process and thinhs they have to let go off. Archie doesn’t tell her office colleagues that Tejas is a BCOM student due to judgements.

So, what will happen with Archie and Niraj? Will Niraj clear his CA final papers? Will Archie be able to manage to complete her articleship and pass her exams? Will both their relationships pass amid all the academic stress?

What Works

Really appreciate the rawness and dedication shown of the life of every CA student. In a country where most students are stressed about clearing JEE and NEET, Half CA shows how much every CA student goes through. Every actor shows character development and lessons you learn with the simplest dialogues makes this series a definite watch.

What Doesn’t Work

Some moments feel a little stretched. There are some scenes that could have been cut short. Leaving a series with cliffhangers may not be the best.

Technical Analysis

Direction & Cinematography

The cinematography beautifully captures the spirit of Mumbai and the struggles faced by students arriving in the city to chase their dreams. Complemented by the heartfelt song and evocative background score, the film gains an added layer of depth and emotional resonance.

Writing & Screenplay

More than just a story about CA aspirants, Half CA reflects on life itself and the various ups and downs we all encounter. Amidst the numerous curveballs and obstacles life throws our way, it’s easy to lose hope. Yet, this show, by simplifying fundamental academic concepts into meaningful life lessons, offers a heartening reminder that resilience and hope are essential to persevere.

Star Performances

As always, Channa delivers an impeccable act as a student, which is not something new, yet the arc of her character makes her look fresh. Tripathi engrosses you in his difficult and sad journey. You wish to never be in his place and, at the same time, root for him to win this battle.

Anmol Kajani and Rohan Joshi support the pivotal cast and especially Channa’s character well, while Prit Kamani appears for a very short time on the screen but keeps breaking the monotony of the show whenever he does.

Conclusion

To conclude the review of Half CA Season 2, Half CA doesn’t follow the typical story arc where the hero emerges victorious and gets a grand farewell. Instead, it concludes midway through a journey, highlighting how sometimes hope is the most vital factor to keep moving forward in life.

‘Half CA’ is a compelling, binge-worthy series that inspires viewers to “Never give up in life.” It powerfully emphasizes that persistence, resilience, and a positive outlook are essential qualities to hold onto while chasing one’s dreams.

Drake Accuses Stake Of Blocking His Payouts After Blasting The Gambling Platform Over Alleged Mistreatment
Of Talent: ‘Is It Personal?’

Drake is publicly calling out crypto gambling platform Stake, claiming several attempts he’s made to withdraw money were blocked without explanation.

The rap star shared a screenshot on his Instagram Story showing a message from a customer service rep who wrote,

“We were unfortunately unable to process your last withdrawal attempt as well.” Drake added as a caption over the post: “4 withdraw attempts blocked on @stake with no explanation…Is it personal?”

His complaint comes shortly after Drake appeared to announce he’s cut ties with Stake after partnering with them for years. On a recent livestream hosted by fellow Stake endorser Trainwreck, Drake took to the comments section to blast the platform’s executives Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani for how they treat talent, reportedly writing:

“Eddie been dissing the owls f**k Eddie… F**k this goof… W’s for my brother TRAIN tonight… They want smoke with ovo so its uppppppp…MAX them and have a great stream… We built this s**t… And they treat us like s**t still.”

Drake’s withdrawal troubles are surprising considering he reportedly earned $100 million annually endorsing Stake, according to a 2023 Financial Times report. He was known for heavily promoting the platform, often sharing his wins with fans.

Are you surprised to see Drake publicly clash with a brand he once heavily promoted?

Old Dominion Get Weird (and Personal) with ‘Barbara’

by jummy84 August 22, 2025

For a hugely popular, contemporary country music act—especially one with a fine, stately name—Old Dominion sure like to get weird.

That creative impulse goes all the way back to their 2015 debut album, Meat and Candy, which had a cover depicting a waitress presiding over a table covered in a smorgasbord of delicious candy and meat. As a young country act making its first steps into the spotlight, the cover art was oddly surreal.

Now, in a career that has so far earned nine No. 1 country singles, comes Old Dominion’s sixth studio album, Barbara, out August 22 on Columbia Nashville/Sony Music Nashville. The cover introduces a new character and album namesake: a proudly aging grande dame of the beauty parlor, sitting beneath a hair dryer in a pink dress and costume jewelry, cat-eye sunglasses, a long cigarette burning between her fingers.

While a lot of country acts tend to display traditional portraits of themselves on albums, Old Dominion see record covers mostly as another canvas for their creative whims. Barbara’s fictional cover subject is meant to “embody the entire body of work that we have created, but also reflect the silly side of who we are as people,” says singer-guitarist Matthew Ramsey.

“The character ‘Barbara’ that we created, we wanted her to be sophisticated and trashy at the same time,” he adds. “She looks like somebody that you would want to hang with and listen to the stories and the life lessons that she has.”

Before the album is even out, fans have already been turning up at concerts dressed as “Barbara,” with curlers in their hair, faux fur jackets, sunglasses, and dangling cigarettes.

“We try to do things a little left to center,” says keyboardist-guitarist Trevor Rosen. “We really love the old school album covers—the Blink-182 and the Cars album covers—and we just try to be a little more artistic with it. Barbara definitely throws back to that spirit and mentality.”

The band were fully involved in the making of the album cover, down to helping cast the actress and being on-site during the photo shoot. The chosen model, named Shalene, had the look down, but didn’t truly share her character’s lifestyle. “She had to practice holding a cigarette because she’d never held one before,” says Ramsey. “She’s a sweet lady.”

Both Ramsey and Rosen are on Zoom from their homes in Nashville, talking about the new album during a short break from their ongoing How Good Is That world tour. The songwriters note that despite the playful cover image, Old Dominion consider Barbara the band’s most personal album.

The 13 songs explore longing and personal losses, celebrate the evolving music scene in Nashville, and tell stories of love gone wrong. “Man or the Song” has Ramsey questioning the impact of success, while “Water My Flowers” describes the search for an eternal love. Produced by the band with Shane McAnally, Barbara was recorded in Nashville, and initial singles released from the album have already made an impact.

Earlier this month, the band posted a video on social media from the summer tour of a little girl named Jordyn holding up a sign covered in photos of her late father and requesting the song “Miss You Man.” During a pause in the show, Ramsey was visibly moved as he spoke with the girl and said, “I had a feeling that was your daddy. Thank you for bringing this sign and showing us. I’m sure you do miss him very much but he’s here. I can feel him, man.”

The song was written originally in tribute to the band’s late friend, songwriter Andrew Dorff, a frequent collaborator with Old Dominion, and songs he co-wrote are still part of the live show every night. The brother of actor Stephen Dorff, he died while on vacation in 2016 at age 40. The song opens, “Sometimes I swear I smell your cigarette in the backseat of my car / What I wouldn’t give for one more hit behind the Jacksonville Walmart / Tonight I broke when I thought of a joke that only you would get.”

It was released as a single at the end of July, but it has become a frequent fan request in memory of lost friends and family. On that night, Old Dominion didn’t have the song on their planned set-list but performed it for Jordyn during the encore. “Everyone on stage was crying. I couldn’t make it through the song,” Ramsey recalls now. “You look over at the side stage, everyone in our crew is crying. There’s all these big roadie dudes that work hard and push cases, and they’re all crying on the side of the stage. It was brutal. But at the end of the day, that’s what you want, man. Especially on a song that was so meaningful to us, to watch it immediately have such an impact on people’s lives, it was very emotional.”

In February, Old Dominion—which also includes guitarist Brad Tursi, bassist Geoff Sprung, and drummer Whit Sellers—played a seven-show residency at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, both to raise money for charity and to celebrate their seventh consecutive CMA Group of the Year award. Choosing its iconic stage for the band’s “Seven for Seven” shows had real meaning for them. While the ancient space is now a venue for many kinds of popular music and stand-up comedy, it is still most revered as “the Mother Church” of country music.

Old Dominion spent four days at the Ryman, playing two shows most nights. It amounted to enough time there for it to feel a lot like home, in spite of its monumental history as the former host to the Grand Ole Opry and generations of country music icons.

“Honestly, that’s one of the things I’m most proud of in this band,” says Ramsey. “When you’re there, you can’t help but be faced with [the history], and accept the fact that you are a part of it. Especially living in Nashville, in this business there’s a lot of imposter syndrome. We constantly tell ourselves we don’t belong, and we’re waiting on somebody to tell us, ‘Hey, you gotta leave the party.’ And a moment like that, where you’re standing on such a historic stage and you’re walking around in the dressing rooms … you can just see the history, you can feel it, you can smell it, and then you realize, ‘Oh my gosh, we are a part of this, the fabric of this town.’”

The band closed the final show with the album’s outro “Goodnight Music City,” an affectionate, wistful tribute to Nashville, with lyrics modeled after the classic children’s book Goodnight Moon. In the song, Ramsey sings of their adopted hometown with love and disappointment. Tennessee’s “Music City” has gone through growth and painful changes in recent years, and seen historic venues and studios swept away for development, even as Nashville remains the place for, as the song says, “Telling the truth with the same three chords…”

“We couldn’t have written the song had we not experienced it for as long as we have,” says Ramsey. “We just wanted to give a good real look at this community that we love—we look at it with such reverence, but also a middle finger sometimes. Like any relationship, it doesn’t come without the dirty side of it too.”

Rosen notes that even as the city’s music institutions and landmarks undergo change, Nashville remains a magnet for musical talent. He says, “Music Row doesn’t look the same as it did anymore. Broadway doesn’t look the same. Midtown doesn’t look the same anymore, but at the heart of it, it’s still a songwriter town, and there’s still great songs being written here every day.”

Even now, their admiration is most often directed at the gifted singer-songwriters they got to witness in the clubs and cafes of Nashville. When Old Dominion was still struggling to break through, songwriting sustained them. Over the years, Ramsey had his work recorded by the Band Perry, Craig Morgan, Dierks Bentley, and Kenny Chesney. Rosen did the same for the Band Perry, Bentley, Blake Shelton, and William Michael Morgan. And Brad Tursi wrote songs for Chesney, Luke Bryan, and Tyler Farr.

While most of the band members are from Virginia, they only came together as a group once they individually began trying their luck in Nashville. Ramsey got to town in 2002, Rosen in 2003. It wasn’t until 2015 that Old Dominion’s debut, Meat and Candy, landed. That’s a long time between arrival in the city and even beginning to find the popular success Old Dominion is known for today.

In the early days, Old Dominion crowded into Ramsey’s green minivan (nicknamed “the Green Room”), with a U-Haul trailer filled with instruments and gear, for long drives to nearby states. After years of struggle, the turning point finally came with their first album, which included two No. 1 hits on country radio. It arrived just as some band members were beginning to question whether they wanted to get in that crowded van another year for uncertain rewards.

From that weariness, Old Dominion were suddenly on the charts and on their way.

“It all happened right about that breaking point,” Ramsey remembers. “So then we’re all looking at each other, watching everything go up the charts. We’re going, ‘Holy crap, did we crack the code?

“I remember, we were driving in the car on the way to our first No. 1  party as a band—it was when ‘Break Up with Him’ went No. 1. I had a bunch of family in town, and my uncle said, ‘Man, did you ever imagine that this would happen?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I had to, or I would’ve given up.’ That doesn’t change the fact that it’s shocking when it does happen. But there is a part of you that has to believe.”
