Celina Jaitly pens emotional note after Delhi HC hearing about her brother detained in UAE: ‘It’s been 15 months…’

Bollywood actor Celina Jaitly has shared a deeply emotional update on social media following a key order from Delhi High Court regarding her brother, Major (Retd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly. He has been detained in the UAE since September 2024. Celina’s new note came soon after the court directed the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to help facilitate communication between her and Vikrant. The court’s order instructs the MEA to appoint a nodal officer to coordinate with authorities in the UAE and to use any available channel, including the TAMM app or other means, to establish contact between Celina and her brother.

Along with an old family photograph, Celina Jaitly shared, “Ma & Pa.. I am doing my best ! I Haven’t Spoken to Vikrant in 15 Months. Today, Hope Was Placed on Record.. Thank you Universe !! My petition seeking access to and legal representation for my brother, Maj (Retd) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, who has been abducted and detained in UAE since 6 Sep 2024, was heard by the Hon’ble Delhi High Court today. The Ministry of External Affairs filed its Status Report and appointed a Nodal Officer to coordinate with me for access to my brother. While I still haven’t been able to speak to Vikrant it’s been 15 months now the Additional Solicitor General, Govt of India Sr Adv Chetan Sharma apprised the Court that they will make their best efforts to get me to speak to Vikrant.”

Celina further wrote: “The Hon’ble Judge directed the Ministry to make efforts to facilitate my access to speak to Vikrant. I’m grateful to Ld. ASG, and the Court and the who recognised my suffering and acknowledged our family’s 4 generations of contributions to the Indian armed forces. The next date in Court is 23 Dec. I look forward to the next steps optimistically. At this time I will not be able to answer any questions from members of the media or press. They may kindly contact the leading counsel on my case from India, Mr. Raghav Kacker, Kacker & Co., who is leading & assisting me in navigating these very challenging times.”

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for December 23.

Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram to pen a warm birthday wish for Raghav Chadha, while sharing picture from his wedding festivities with Parineeti Chopra. 

Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra’s husband and politician Raghav Chadha is celebrating his 37th birthday today (November 11). The new dad received a heartfelt birthday wish from Parineeti on social media, and actor Priyanka Chopra also penned a sweet message for her jiju.

On Tuesday, Priyanka took to Instagram Stories and shared a picture from Raghav and Parineeti’s engagement ceremony, wherein she was seen putting a tilak on Raghav’s forehead. Along with the picture, Priyanka wrote, “Happy Birthday @raghavchadha88! Wishing you a wonderful year ahead filled with health, happiness, and new adventures with the little one. @parineetichopra.”

Parineeti also shared a couple of romantic pictures with Raghav on Instagram and penned a long note for his birthday, which read, “Just when I thought you couldn’t get more perfect – you go and become the best dad in the world. I watch you every single moment of our lives – being the perfect son, perfect husband, and the perfect father. I watch you working hard (sometimes too hard!), balancing work and family. You are my inspiration, my pride, my oxygen. The most incredible human being. I ask God for the millionth time – what did I do to deserve you? Happy birthday to my reason of living. I literally cannot exist without you.”

Actor Parineeti Chopra and AAP leader Raghav Chadha tied the knot in September 2023 in an intimate yet grand ceremony held in Udaipur. They kept their relationship private, but sparked dating rumours earlier that year when they were spotted together at various events. Parineeti and Raghav exchanged rings in a grand engagement ceremony at Delhi’s Kapurthala House. Though Priyanka couldn’t attend Parineeti’s wedding, she was there for her engagement ceremony, performing elder-sister duties.

On October 20, Parineeti and Raghav welcomed their first child, a baby boy. The couple shared the news with a joint post on Instagram. “He’s finally here! Our baby boy. And we can’t remember life before,” the text over the poster read.

Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming work

Priyanka is all set to make her comeback to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s SSMB 29. The film, which also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles, is set to unveil its first look on November 15 in a grand ceremony that will be available to watch on JioHotstar. The film is said to be an action adventure similar to Indiana Jones and is currently under production.

CBS News’ Jonathan Vigliotti Pens Book On Los Angeles Wildfires

CBS News Correspondent Jonathan Vigliotti has penned a book on covering the Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year and the implications for the city as it prepares for the Olympic Games.

Torched: How a City Was Left to Burn, and the Olympic Rush to Rebuild L.A. will publish on May 12 from Atria/One Signal.

Per the publisher, Vigliotti “brings readers inside the inferno that devastated Los Angeles, weaving on-the-ground reporting with the deeper story of how a century of unchecked development and political mismanagement set the stage for disaster.” The book also will place the fire within the larger history of Los Angeles, and whether the post-fire rebuild in advance of the 2028 Games will address prevention of similar disasters and the “rampant inequities this blaze brought to global attention.”

Vigliotti, based in Los Angeles, joined CBS News in 2015, and his work has appeared on Sunday Morning, Face the Nation and 48 Hours. He was recognized with an Emmy and an Edward R. Murrow Award, and has covered the Syrian civil war, the Mediterranean refugee crisis and Arctic climate change, among other stories worldwide.

Vigliotti is the author of Before It’s Gone: Stories from the Front Lines of Climate Change in Small-Town America, also published by Atria/One Signal.

MSNBC correspondent Jacob Soboroff also is publishing his account of covering the fires, Firestorm: The Great Los Angeles Fires and America’s New Age of Disaster, set to be published in Janaury.

Kirk Frost Pens Message To Son & Defends Rasheeda’s Support

Kirk Frost hopped online to drop a sweet message for his son Kannon Frost, letting him know that nothing could stop him from being a solid dad to him. While he was at it, he clapped back at trolls who keep dragging his wife, Rasheeda, for standing by him and pushing him to stay active in Kannon’s life. The internet, of course, had plenty to say, some applauded Kirk, but others still think he seems to find new ways to embarrass Rasheeda.

Kirk Frost Pours His Heart Out To Kannon & Claps Back At Trolls Coming For Rasheeda

The ‘Love & Hip Hop ATL’ star recently dropped a heartfelt message on Instagram for his youngest son, Kannon, who he shares with Jasmine Bleu. Kirk Frost told his little man that haters might be praying on his downfall, but he’s never going to stop being a good dad to him.

“Im sorry @kannonxfrost most women want me to be a dead beat to you. Also not be a father, not pay child support just not be in your life at all but sorry I don’t know how to do that,” Kirk wrote.

Kirk kept it real, admitting his mini-me came into the world while his marriage with Rasheeda hit a rough patch, but he still gave her flowers for pushing him to stay in Kannon’s life. Even though the message came from the heart, folks online still noticed he threw a lil’ jab at trolls who keep coming at Rasheeda for sticking beside him.

“You came at a time when me and my wife was going through a bad season but we’re making it thru. I know… @rasheeda gets crucified for loving you & making sure I remain a good father. Which I think is crazy, but since you asking questions, we just want to make sure you know that we love you. 🙏🏽🫶🏽,” Kirk continued.

Social Media Has Mixed Feelings About Kirk’s Heartfelt Post

The Shade Room’s comment section exploded with reactions to Kirk Frost’s letter to Kannon. Some folks gave him props for showing up as a dad, while others thought he should’ve kept the message private.

Kirk Shares Sweet Rare Video Of Rasheeda & Kannon

Even with the internet’s reactions to Kirk’s message to Kannon, he’s been open about his love for his son before. Back in August, he gave fans a peek at Rasheeda and Kannon’s relationship in a sweet video. In the clip, Kannon appears to be much younger as he sings, ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ with Rasheeda. In the caption, Kirk gave Rasheeda props for being a good woman despite everything that occurred in the past.

“It’s moments like this, that you don’t see, that make me appreciate the woman that you are to me in real life @rasheeda. I Love you,” the reality star wrote.

As reported, the ladies had a crazy dispute last night (Sept. 30), taking low blows not only at each other but also at their children and families. Extending the drama into today, Nicki shared multiple posts targeting Cardi’s eldest child, Kulture, 6, even seemingly threatening physical harm with the comment, “Ima kick your gums back into formation.”

After addressing the threat, saying, “Today gonna be the day I go to jail,” Cardi penned a lengthy message to Nicki. In part, she wrote, “You said out your own mouth that the lil girl in you haven’t forgave your mother yet and that’s because your mom used to stay silent when your dad used to touch on you everytime he did that cr*ck pipe… I know you experienced a lot of trauma and abuse but dr*gs is not gonna help you.. you need to go to therapy NOW.”

Cardi continued, telling Nicki that her husband, #KennethPetty, is purposely keeping her on dr*gs so he can “max out your credit card.” She added, “You don’t have no friends.. no family.. just that man in your house… I’m not throwing away my career and my endorsements going back and forth with wit words wit a possessed dr*g addict.. ILL SEE YOU WHEN I SEE YOU.”

One said, “Lost a guiding light today. She was more than a mother, she was an inspiration. Her strength, courage and passion in building her saree business empowered so many girls to dream big. Mahesh Manjrekar married Deepa Mehta in 1987. The two had known each other since their college days. They welcomed two children — daughter Ashwami Manjrekar and son Satya Manjrekar. However, their marriage ended in 1995, after which their children continued to live with Mahesh.

After separating from Deepa, Mahesh married actress Medha Manjrekar, with whom he has a daughter, Saiee Manjrekar. Saiee made her acting debut in Bollywood opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg 3. She has since appeared in films like Major and Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay.
