In her emotional post, she wrote, “Chief Minister, your government promotes ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao,’ but your police insult women like me. Is it a crime for a wife to visit her husband’s home? I demand strict action against such officers who misuse their power.”

Politician and businessman Malla Reddy is frequently invited as a chief guest to movie events, with his speeches often eliciting laughter or raising eyebrows. In an interview with TV9, he revealed that his association with Tollywood did not stop there and that he was even offered ₹3 crore to play the villain in Pawan Kalyan’s next film. Reddy stated in the interview that Harish approached him to play the villain in Ustaad Bhagat Singh, but that he wasn’t interested in playing the template role. “Harish Shankar approached me to play the villain in Pawan Kalyan’s film. He spoke to me for an hour at my college and even offered me a remuneration of ₹3 crore. I told him I am not interested in playing the villain. If I play the villain, I will yell at the hero till the interval. In the second half of the film, he will beat me up,” he said, making his family and the anchor crack up.

This is not the first time Reddy has spoken about the director approaching him about the project. At the teaser launch of Memu Famous in 2023, he spoke vaguely about it, although he then shifted his focus to discussing the production of films soon. He said, “Harish Shankar tried to convince me for an hour and a half to play the villain.” When the crowd started screaming ‘hero’ in jest, he laughed and replied, “I won’t play a hero because you’ll get bored with me, you can’t see me like that. After the elections, I want to start producing some good Telangana films.”

Ustaad Bhagat Singh is directed by Harish and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. It stars Pawan and Sreeleela in lead roles. In the clip, Jyoti is also seen talking about why she has not filed any domestic violence case.

Jyoti is also seen threathening to consume poison in the presence of the police officers. She’s heard saying, “Aaj main sirf samaj ke kehne par yahan aayi thi, bas yeh din dekhne ke liye. Agar abhi bhi insaaf nahin mila to koi umeed nahin hai. Main ghar mein zehar kha kar mar jaungi; iss ghar se meri laash jaayegi. Yeh last baar hai jo main keh rahi hoon. Main ek shareef ghar ki beti hoon, ek shareef ghar ki bahu hoon. Agar mujhe police station jaana pad raha hai, to main yahin se zehar kha kar nikal lungi. Bas, bohot ho gaya. Insaaf dijiye mujhe.”

During the Instagram Live – which is now posted on her Instagram page, Jyoti Singh also claimed Pawan cheated on her. She’s heard saying, “Yeh samaj ki seva karenge? Yeh Pawan ji seva karenge jo apni patni ko nikalne ke liye police bula rahe hain? Chunav ke dauraan apni patni ka istemal kiya, aur phir doosri ladkiyon ko lekar hotel gaye. Sab poochte the na ki chunav ke baad main kyun aa gayi? Kyunki chunav ke 20 din baad Pawan ji hamare saamne ek ladki ko lekar hotel gaye the. Hum ek patni hoke yeh bardaasht nahin kar sakte the, isiliye hum chale gaye. Aur ab yeh Pawan ji insaaf karenge?”
Pawan-Jyoti Divorce Case
Pawan Singh filed for divorce in the Ara Family Court in 2022 and has reportedly missed several court hearings, which has further disrupted Jyoti’s life. While Jyoti initially demanded Rs 5 lakh in monthly maintenance, she emphasises that more than money or property, she simply wishes to communicate with her husband.

As per the latest update on Sacnilk, OG collected ₹ 5.96 crore on its seventh day of release. The film showed a slight dip in collections during the week days, but it has still managed to hold on to the momentum, given there has been strong word of mouth praise for it. OG opened with ₹ 21 crore, and saw a massive Thursday, collecting ₹63 crore- its highest single-day haul so far. Taking Wednesday’s collections into account, the film’s total collection after six days is ₹160.81 crore.

About OG

OG tells the story of a samurai named Ojas Gambheera (Pawan) who travels to India during the Second World War and grows up to become Satya Dada’s (Prakash Raj) right-hand man. He gives it all up due to an unforeseen incident and leads an idyllic life with Kanmani (Priyanka Mohan) and their daughter Tara before circumstances force him to pick up his katana again. The film ends by teasing a sequel which will explore more of OG’s story.

The makers have made the announcement on their social media page stating that the song will be added in theatres from Tuesday evening shows. It’s a club song that was shot by Neha Shetty in Thailand. According to sources, the song will further give a high to fans and audiences and elevate the narrative.

The filmmakers felt that the special song would affect the flow of the narrative and hence dropped it from the final cut. But it was an afterthought to bring it back. Sujeeth’s gangster film They Call Him OG is releasing in theatres on 25 September with paid premieres on the evening of 24 September. The film, starring Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi (in his Telugu debut) and Priyanka Mohan, has been rated A by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) rated the film 15 for ‘strong bloody violence, injury detail’. Know all the inside details.

What is They Call Him OG’s story?

Not much is known about OG other than that Pawan plays the titular character Ojas Gambheera, who comes out of retirement when crime goes up in Mumbai unchecked. Emraan plays a gangster called Omi Bhau while Priyanka plays OG’s wife, Kanmani.

The BBFC described the film as: “In this action thriller, a former mob boss is drawn out of peaceful retirement when the activities of rival gangs put him on a path of revenge.” Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy and others also play key roles in the film.

How violent is They Call Him OG?

BBFC rated OG high for violence due to “prolonged scenes of strong violence feature shootings, stabbings and slashings with bladed weapons, throat-cuttings, decapitation and dismemberment, and heavy blows, all of which are accompanied by extensive bloodshed. There is strong bloody injury detail in the aftermath of violence, including sight of severed heads and limbs.”

There are also scenes including the abduction of a young child at gunpoint, a man’s head being held underwater, and another man being told his fingers will be cut off unless he gives information. The film also features ‘strong language’ including the words f**k, c***t, c*****ya, bugger, saala, bloody, a*****e, screw, freaking hell and damn, according to the website. A scene where cocaine snorting is implied is also mentioned.

OG also seems to involve a scene with a sex trafficking gang, as the website points out, “A group of women are seen in an intimidated state as they are rescued from captivity at the hands of a sex trafficking gang.” A ‘mildly upsetting’ scene entered on bereavement is also mentioned.
