Wicked defied gravity when it came out in November 2024! Now, the long-awaited Broadway-inspired film, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, has officially hit a streaming service. According to IMDb, the film is “a vivid reimagining of the classic The Wizard of Oz, Wicked spotlights the untold stories of Oz’s most famous (or infamous) characters, namely the Wicked Witch of the West and her unlikely friend, Glinda the Good Witch. The show follows green-skinned star Elphaba from birth to college and through the life-changing events which eventually label her ‘wicked,’ introducing spoiled rich girl Glinda, local prince and heartthrob Fiyero and even the Wizard of Oz himself, a troubled man very unlike the one you may remember.”

It continues: “As Elphaba, a passionate political activist if there ever was one, fights injustice and seeks to undo the mistakes of the past, dark secrets, and personal tragedies shape the history of Oz, paying homage to the classic Wizard of Oz story while simultaneously changing fans’ understanding of it forever. A cautionary tale about love, friendship, and trust, Wicked effortlessly reveals that there are indeed two sides to every story.”

Top 10 Hit the Stage in Part 1 of Finale

by jummy84 September 24, 2025
written by jummy84

America’s Got Talent is wrapping up its milestone 20th season with a two-night finale event.

The final 10 contestants took to the stage to prove they have what it takes to win during the first half of the Season 20 finale on Tuesday, September 23. While judges Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, Howie Mandel and Mel B. will share their thoughts on the Top 10 during the episode, it will be up to America to decide which act will take home the $1 million prize.

Viewers can vote up to 10 times for their favorite performers online or via the AGT or NBC mobile apps. Results will be announced during on the show’s Wednesday, September 24, episode, which will see the final 10 acts perform alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

Scroll below to see everything that went down during Part 1 of AGT‘s two-part Season 20 finale!

Jessica Sanchez

Sanchez said she was “ready to be a star” after appearing on Season 1 of AGT. After some ups and downs in the music industry, she came back to the show better than ever and made it to the Season 20 finale, all while pregnant. Hoping to win the season with her unborn daughter, Sanchez belted out an impressive rendition of Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga‘s “Die With a Smile.”

Sanchez scored a standing ovation from all four judges, with Vergara calling her performance “perfection.” Mel B. praised Sanchez’s vocals as “flawless,” while Mandel dubbed the first act of the night as the “best” act of the night. Cowell, meanwhile, highlighted how Sanchez’s AGT journey highlighted the power of believing in yourself.

LightWire

The group headed into the finale with extra motivation — and pressure — after experiencing a technical malfunction during their Semifinals performance. After earning a Golden Buzzer earlier in the season, the troupe sought to prove that they are a million dollar act with another captivating performance, using special effects and dance to tell a moving story.

Cowell said he “got quite emotional” watching the act, praising the group for their talent on and off the AGT stage. He even went so far as saying the group deserved to win the competition. Mel B. enjoyed the act despite feeling it was “similar” to last week.

Mama Duke

Mama Duke noted that a Golden Buzzer from Mel B. felt like a “full circle moment,” as she looked up to the singer growing up. The rapper wanted to deliver a million dollar finale performance, and did just that with a motivational and uplifting original song.

Mel B. said she would be “first one” to buy front row tickets to a Mama Duke concert and praised her “realness.” Mandel also appreciated her authenticity, while Vergara loved her uniqueness and creativity. Cowell, for his part, said he enjoyed getting to know Mama Duke throughout the AGT season. “Whatever happens, this is an incredible launch pad for whatever you really want,” he added.

Sirca Marea

The trapeze duo have put a lot of hard work into their AGT journey, and have even lived out of their van throughout the competition. The pair lived up to their title as one of the series’ best acrobatic acts with a jaw-dropping, high-flying finale performance full of risky moves and flips. Like their Semifinals routine, Sirca Marea also incorporated several impressive blindfolded tricks.

Mandel’s criticism of the routine feeling “repetitive” was overshadowed by thunderous applause from the audience. Mel B. called the performance “seamless,” while Vergara called it “breathtaking.” Cowell, who gave the pair a standing ovation, said, “That was the best, genuinely, I have ever seen. … That was like an 11 out of 10.”

Micah Palace

Palace went from being frustrated about his musical future to living out his dreams on the NBC competition series. Motivated by a letter from his mom, the aspiring rapper lit up the AGT stage with an energetic song featuring both English and Spanish lyrics.

Vergara called Palace’s performance a “party,” while Cowell said he was “so happy” for the young musician. Handing out some more criticism, Mandel said he preferred Palace’s previous performances to his finale act. Cowell called Mel B.’s comments reminding Palace to act kind to the show’s crew “out of order,” stating he’s only been “really polite and sweet to everyone.”

Leo High School Choir

After securing the last spot in the Finals, the Chicago choir felt inspired heading into the season’s second-to-last episode. Led by choir director, LaDonna Hill, the students (some of whom have since begun college), got the crowd clapping along to their performance of The Script’s “Hall of Fame.”

Mel B. gushed over the group, stating that they’ve “delivered time and time again.” Cowell praised the choir’s ability to “make people feel great,” while Mandel said the act was a “winning, wonderful vibe.” Vergara declared, “You’re the coolest choir that has ever been here on AGT.”

Chris Turner

Turner recalled how he took a “massive risk” pursuing his dream of performing. Once again creating an on-the-spot rap featuring lyric suggestions from the judges and the audience, Turner performed an impressive — and hilarious — song mentioning everything from tampons to baby elephants to Jamaica to Mandel himself. As an added twist, the tempo increased every time Turner completed a rap about a given topic.

For Cowell, Turner could be the act to win the season. Mel B. found herself “lost for words” at Turner’s “raw talent,” and Vergara said she would be “very happy” if he won. Mandel, meanwhile, declared, “You just solidified yourself $1 million.”

Jourdan Blue

Blue said he felt like a “different person” from his AGT audition heading into the finale. Taking Cowell’s Semifinals criticism to “do something unexpected” for his next performance, Blue performed a powerful rendition of “Golden” from the film KPop Demon Hunters. The cherry on top? His parents were there supporting him in the audience.

“It’s over!” Mandel yelled, adding, “I believe you won!” Cowell also loved Blue’s “very smart” song choice, agreeing that he could win the season. Mel B. and Vergara also had nothing but praise for Blue’s latest cover.

Team Recycled

Being on AGT felt like being in the Olympics for the dance troupe. With their Finals performance, the 40-plus-member group wowed the audience and the judges with their grand routing set across both the stage and the auditorium.

For Mandel, the group lived up to the Golden Buzzer he gave them, while Cowell dubbed the performance “spectacular.” Mel B. thought the act was “genius” despite including some “recycled” dance moves, and Vergara thought they were the best they have ever been.

NBC

Steve Ray Ladson

Ladson has come a long way from a small town to the AGT. Chasing his dreams — and a Golden Buzzer from Vergara — led him to the show’s finale. Performing in front of his family, Ladson got his audience doing the “rodeo” with his energetic country rock song. He even showed off banjo skills and vocal chops on a mini stage directly in front of the judges.

“You are already a superstar,” Vergara exclaimed, while Mel B. added, “I’ve never seen an artist like this on AGT that has so much individuality, that sticks in his lane, and knows who he is as a true artist.” Cowell said now is Ladson’s “moment,” and Mandel called his performance a “winning song.”

Pan-India Dream | When The Cracks Began To Show | Part 2 | Glamsham.com

If the first wave of pan-India films created hysteria, the second wave has met with sobering reality. The sheen of cross-industry casting is fading, exposed by projects that could not match their own hype.

The most striking case is Yash Raj Films’ War 2. On paper, it looked unmissable — Bollywood’s Hrithik Roshan paired with Telugu megastar NTR Jr, wrapped in the sheen of the YRF Spy Universe. The film opened strong, but within a week the numbers were sliding. Despite its global release and multi-language promotions, the film ended up bleeding money. What stung more than the financial loss was the collateral damage: YRF’s ambitious spin-off centered on NTR’s character, pitched as the South’s gateway into the Spy Universe, was quietly shelved. The promise of a long-term partnership dissolved overnight.

THIS IS WAR There will be CARNAGE in theatres today. Proud of #War2 and can’t wait to see your reactions to this entertainer. Only in cinemas near you in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil.

Down south, a similar story unfolded. Rajinikanth’s Coolie was meant to be more than another superstar vehicle; it was also a platform for Aamir Khan to step into Tamil cinema, if only for a cameo. The plan was clear — build momentum for a larger project between Aamir and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, a fusion of Bollywood perfectionism with Tamil storytelling bravado. But the cameo landed with a thud, failing to ignite either hype or box office fireworks. Soon after, the much-hyped Aamir–Lokesh project was shelved.

And then came the tremors from Kalki 2898 AD. The sci-fi epic was perhaps the most ambitious Indian production in years, and Deepika Padukone was its beating heart on the Bollywood front. But as the sequel geared up, news broke that Deepika had walked away. The producers issued a polite statement about “commitment,” but trade whispers told a murkier tale — a reduced role, fee disputes, and working condition demands that clashed with the production’s scale. What was intended to be a flagship pan-India saga suddenly found itself stripped of its leading lady.

These are not small hiccups; they are symptoms. Together, they suggest that the very model of pan-India filmmaking — built on inflated budgets, cross-industry star casting, and franchise planning — is facing resistance. The cracks are now visible, and the industry is watching closely.

Stay tuned for Part 3

2025 Changes Are Part of a Pattern

by jummy84 August 30, 2025
written by jummy84

As of the publish time of this story, four members of Saturday Night Live’s season 50 cast aren’t returning for season 51, which is set to begin Oct. 4. The departures of Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Emil Wakim and Devon Walker make for the largest cast turnover since 2022, when eight performers left.

It’s also far from unprecedented in SNL’s history — in fact, the show has rarely gone more than a few years without a significant overhaul of its cast. Over the half-century Saturday Night Live has been airing on NBC, cast shakeups have roiled the show numerous times, with some performers leaving of their own accord and others let go for a myriad of reasons ranging from budget cuts to a desire by SNL mastermind Lorne Michaels for fresh faces and perspectives.

“The cryptic hiring protocols extend to staying hired,” writes Susan Morrison in her biography of Michaels, Lorne: The Man Who Invented Saturday Night Live. “Cast and writers are supposed to be notified by July about whether they are being asked back. (Michaels has a rule about not making big decisions in June, when he is sick of everyone, and exhausted.) That date often slips by, with people not knowing their fates until Labor Day, a month before the season premiere.”

Those changes have often led to “Can SNL survive?” headlines, particularly when long-tenured or beloved castmembers left. The answer has been “yes” every time so far (see “on the air for half a century,” above). Here are some of the bigger changes in the show’s history, most of which happened during summer hiatuses.

1980

The first major change in SNL was arguably the most significant one: After the 1979-80 season, all of the remaining original Not Ready for Prime Time Players — Jane Curtin, Garrett Morris, Laraine Newman and Gilda Radner — left along with Bill Murray, who joined the show midway through the second season. Oh, and so did series creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels, who wanted to pursue other opportunities.

In the wake of Michaels’ and the former cast’s departure, the 1980-81 season was generally a mess, with the new ensemble unfavorably compared to the previous one and executive producer Jean Doumanian fired in March 1981. Dick Ebersol, then NBC’s vp late night programming, took over after that and would run SNL for four more seasons. While Joe Piscopo and a 19-year-old Eddie Murphy (who had his first lines three episodes into the season) broke out, Gilbert Gottfried, Ann Risley and Charles Rocket were let go along with Doumanian; Denny Dillon, Gail Matthius, Murphy and Piscopo were joined by Robin Duke, Tim Kazurinsky and Tony Rosato in the main cast for one episode before a writers strike prematurely (and maybe mercifully) ended the season in April 1981.

1984 Through 1986

Ebersol’s final year running SNL and Michaels’ return drove three consecutive seasons of big cast overhauls. Murphy, Piscopo, Duke, Kazurinsky and Brad Hall left or were let go after the 1983-84 season. The show’s 10th anniversary season in 1984-85 was handed mostly to a group of comedy veterans: Billy Crystal, Christopher Guest, Rich Hall, Harry Shearer (who left midway through the season), Martin Short and Pamela Stephenson joined returning players Jim Belushi, Mary Gross, Gary Kroeger and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Michaels returned to the show for season 11 in 1985-86 with a completely new cast. Crystal, Guest et al were out, replaced by a mostly younger ensemble of Joan Cusack, Robert Downey Jr., Nora Dunn, Anthony Michael Hall, Jon Lovitz, Dennis Miller, Randy Quaid, Terry Sweeney and Danitra Vance. Damon Wayans was a featured player for most of the season.

Despite the presence of several future stars, the season was considered a disaster — so much so that after another big shakeup the following summer, Madonna (who hosted the ’85-’86 season premiere) returned for a cold open sketch that said the previous season was all “a horrible, horrible dream.” Dunn, Lovitz, Miller and featured player A. Whitney Brown returned for season 12, joined by Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Jan Hooks, Victoria Jackson and featured player Kevin Nealon, beginning a relatively stable era on SNL.

Will Ferrell, Cheri Oteri and Jim Breuer in ‘SNL’ season 21.

NBC/Everett Collection

1995

After a few years of incremental changes, as the Carvey-Hooks-Hartman-Mike Myers core gave way to the likes of Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, David Spade and Julia Sweeney, another wholesale change came with season 21 in 1995-96. Norm Macdonald, Mark McKinney, Tim Meadows, Molly Shannon and Spade were the only returnees from season 20, and nine actors — including Sandler, Farley and Nealon — left or were fired. Jim Breuer, Will Ferrell, Darrell Hammond, David Koechner, Cheri Oteri and Nancy Walls joined the main cast, while Chris Kattan and Colin Quinn were featured players. An influx of new writers (including Adam McKay, Paula Pell, Steve Higgins and Quinn) also came aboard. After a fitful start, this group — joined by Ana Gasteyer and Tracy Morgan the following season — would form the core of the cast for the next several years.

2006

Although most of the late ‘90s cast eventually moved on, the early 2000s were mostly a “Yes, and” time at SNL, to borrow the improv term. The departures of Ferrell, Shannon, Morgan and Jimmy Fallon were offset by additions like Tina Fey (who also was head writer for several seasons), Amy Poehler, Will Forte, Kenan Thompson, Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph.

In 2006, though, Fey and Rachel Dratch left to work on Fey’s NBC comedy 30 Rock (Dratch was initially cast as Jenna Maroney, a role that eventually went to Jane Krakowski), and budget cuts led to Chris Parnell, Horatio Sanz and Finesse Mitchell being let go. The 11-person cast for season 32 in 2006-07 was the smallest in nine years.

Colin Jost and Michael Che on ‘SNL’s’ ‘Weekend Update’

2013 and 2014

In contrast to 2006, the biggest changes in season 39 made the cast larger. SNL added eight performers over the course of the season, ballooning the ensemble to 17 people. Seth Meyers left midway through the season to take over Late Night; the season’s newcomers were Beck Bennett, Colin Jost (a writer for several years before going in front of the camera), John Milhiser, Kyle Mooney, Mike O’Brien, Nöel Wells, Brooks Wheelan and Sasheer Zamata.

Not all of the changes took: Milhiser, Wells and Wheelen left after one season, and O’Brien, who had previously been a writer on the show, returned to the writers room. Nasim Pedrad also departed after season 39, and Pete Davidson, Michael Che and Leslie Jones joined the cast for season 40.

2022

After several relatively stable years and working through the worst stages of the COVID-19 pandemic (including several “SNL at Home” episodes in the spring of 2020), the last big cast shakeup before this year happened with season 48 in 2022-23. Aidy Bryant, Davidson, Kate McKinnon and Mooney all left at the end of season 47 in May 2022, and over the summer Alex Moffat, Chris Redd, Melissa Villaseñor and featured player Aristotle Athari also departed. Cecily Strong also left partway through the season. (It’s worth noting that season 47 had the largest ensemble in the show’s history, with 21 people.)

Walker, Longfellow, Molly Kearny and Marcello Hernández joined the show as featured players for season 48. Hernandez is the only member of that cohort still with the show.

‘You are part of the largest pro wrestling crowd ever in The O2…’ AEW Forbidden Door breaks attendance record at iconic London venue

25 August 2025

AEW Forbidden Door set a new attendance record for a wrestling event at The O2 arena in London on Sunday night (24.08.25).

AEW President Tony Khan with Brodido at the Forbidden Door post-show press conference

The pay-per-view super show – which was co-produced by American promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Japan-based New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) – was watched by 18,992 fans inside the iconic venue beating the previous record of 17,617 fans set by WWE’s Money in the Bank event in 2023.

AEW commentator Tony Schiavone entered the ring to tell fans they had set the new record to huge cheers and screams of approval.

Schiavone, 67, said: “You are part of the largest pro wrestling crowd ever in The O2 – 18,992 fans! Thank you very much for tonight!”

Those fans saw a packed card of astonishing matches, including a Four-way match for the AEW TBS Championship in which Mercedes Moné successfully defended her championship against Alex Windsor, Bozilla and Persephone by pinfall and “Hangman” Adam Page defeating MJF by pinfall to remain AEW World Champion in a bloody encounter.

The main event saw the team of Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Will Ospreay and Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi) defeat the rival team of Gabe Kidd, Death Riders (Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli) and The Young Bucks (Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson) in a brutal Lights Out Steel Cage match.

AEW President Tony Khan was thrilled to have set a new wrestling attendance record at The O2, and insisted it was further proof of the incredible growth that the company has made in 2025.

Khan, 42, also thanked AEW’s partner promotions that helped make Forbidden Door an unforgettable event.

Speaking at post-show press conference attended by BANG Showbiz and other media, he said: “It means so much. First of all the only thing better than AEW breaking the attendance record in this building, the most pro wrestling fans to attend a show at London’s O2 Arena, 18,992 people here for this show, the only thing better than AEW breaking this record is AEW together with New Japan Pro Wrestling breaking this record as a partnership and in collaboration.

“This year it was even more special to be joined by partners from around the world, to have wrestlers from CMLL (Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre), Stardom (World Wonder Ring Stardom), even Rev Pro (Revolution Pro Wrestling) represented. It was really, really cool. It’s an historic night for us, it’s been an historic year for AEW. I think 2025 has been the best year of AEW and it’s amazing to think the last time we did AEW here in London how far we’ve come, how many things have changed.

“I really believe that 2025 has been our best year, I’m so proud to keep putting great nights and great moments and achievements together.”

Khan also announced that he will be bringing the AEW Continental Classic tournament to the UK for the first time when AEW returns to Britain for two nights in December 2025 before coming to Wembley Stadium in 2026.

He said: “We will be back here next year at Wembley Stadium. But I’m not going to wait until next year to bring AEW back to the UK, we’re coming back this year!

“For the first time ever we’re coming back in December to the UK, we will go back to Cardiff for Collision, December 13th, and we will debut AEW in Manchester on December 17th. I can’t wait to bring AEW here. And for the first time the Continental Classic is coming abroad.”

The AEW press conference was hosted by Renee Paquette and as well as Tony Khan it was attended by AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné, AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher and Brodido – Brody King and Bandido, pictured – who were crowned new AEW World Tag Team Champions on the night after they defeated defending champions The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (with Stokely) by pinfall in a Three-way tag team match.

Is Salman Khan not a part of No Entry Mein Entry due to Arjun Kapoor? Here’s what we know

by jummy84 August 23, 2025

While there has been buzz around No Entry Mein Entry, we have learnt the reason behind Salman Khan opting out of the sequel, and it’s because of Arjun Kapoor

Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan and Bipasha Basu-starrer No Entry is about to complete 20 years since its release. And two decades later, the comic caper is getting a sequel after much anticipation No Entry Mein Entry, but with a completely new cast. While the sequel was teased and talked about multiple times in this while, with Salman Khan hinting at his return, it seems that the superstar won’t be returning for part two and we have got to know why.

Salman Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Boney Kapoor

An insider source tells us that the reason of Salman not coming back has to do not just of professional but also personal reasons. “The truth is simple: Salman’s problem lies with Boney Kapoor (producer) and Arjun Kapoor. That’s why Boney had no option but to re-cast No Entry Mein Entry instead of bringing back the original cast,” the source shares.

For the unversed, there were reports of tensions between Salman and Arjun after the latter started dating Malaika Arora, who was earlier married to Salman’s brother Arbaaz Khan, post her divorce.
