The latest episode, which aired on October 25, featured the iconic 90s duo Govinda and Chunky Panday, a reunion that had fans both nostalgic and laughing. However, Twinkle Khanna recently revealed that getting Govinda on the show was not an easy task. In an interview with one of the media houses, Twinkle shared that she and Kajol had to work very hard to bring Govinda to the show.

The actress said, “We worked very hard to get Govinda on the show. We invited him several times. Kajol even visited his house. He’s a legendary personality, and pairing him with Chunky brought back so many fond memories”. Kajol also opened up about how they decided on the guest pairings. “We wanted to bring in many pairs, but couldn’t make it happen with all. We chose people we thought audiences would love to watch and those we personally found interesting. For instance, I found Karan and Janhvi very interesting as a duo,” Kajol explained.

The Too Much with Kajol and Twinkle episode with Govinda and Chunky Panday turned out to be a delightful throwback to their film Aankhen, which remains one of their most beloved collaborations. During the episode, the two shared several behind-the-scenes stories, one of which left everyone in splits. Chunky Panday revealed that the monkey in Aankhen was a star in his own right!

Amitabh Bachchan paid an emotional tribute to the legendary ad man, Piyush Pandey, who passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 70, after battling pneumonia. 

 

In an emotional blog post, Amitabh expressed his sorrow, referring to Piyush as “a creative genius, a most amiable friend, and guide,” and further stating that the advertising icon’s legacy “shall forever be an eternal emblem of his immeasurable creativity.” 

Amitabh wrote on his blog, “A creative genius .. a most amiable friend, and guide .. has left us .. No words to express our grief .. Piyush Pandey, passed away this morning .. The creative works left behind by him shall ever be an eternal emblem of his immeasurable creativity ..”  

 

Amitabh and Piyush shared a long and memorable professional partnership that lasted for many years. They collaborated on some of India’s most memorable advertising campaigns, including the iconic “Pappu Pass Ho Gaya” series for Cadbury Dairy Milk, the Polio Eradication campaign featuring Amitabh’s impactful “Do Boond Zindagi Ki” message, and the Gujarat tourism advertisements that defined an era of Indian television.

 

Piyush’s talent for combining storytelling with emotion helped reshaped how Indian audiences engaged with brands, and Amitabh’s strong screen presence brought an unmatched credibility and warmth to their collaborations 

 

Piyush Pandey, often recognized as the face of modern Indian advertising, started his professional journey in the 1980s and eventually attained the position of Chief Creative Officer Worldwide at Ogilvy & Mather. Known for incorporating Indian cultural nuances, humour, and emotional depth into his creative projects, Piyush actually transformed the manner in which advertisements communicated with the diverse population of the country. His advertising campaigns, including Fevicol’s “Jod Ke Rakhe Hamesha,” Cadbury’s “Kuch Khaas Hai,” and Asian Paints’ “Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai,” have achieved the status of cultural landmarks and are still remembered and cherished to this date.

They changed the venue at the last minute,” Vishal Punjabi revealed. The wedding planner, Devika Narayan, didn’t sleep all night relocating the mandap. Despite the chaos, the wedding turned out to be a magical celebration of love.

After the Lav Kush Ramlila committee signed Poonam Pandey to play Mandodari, BJP Media Cell head and secretary of the Vishva Hindu Parishad want her swapped.

This year, the Lav Kush Ramlila committee has new additions to their troupe. Actor Poonam Pandey has been roped in to play Mandodari, Ravan’s wife, in the play. But not everyone is happy with the news, given that some political leaders want her to be swapped out due to her ‘controversies’.

Poonam will be playing Mandodari in this year’s Ramleela. Arjun Kumar, president of the Lav Kush Ramlila, said in a statement, “When we approached Poonam Pandey for this role, she instantly agreed. She shared that portraying Mandodari on stage has been her lifelong dream, fulfilled by the blessings of Lord Shri Ram. Performing live before thousands of spectators is a challenge, and she is already deeply engrossed in rehearsals to perfect her performance.” The actor is known for starring in films like Karma—The Journey and GST: Galti Se Sirf and appearing on TV shows like CID and the reality show Lock Upp.

BJP, VHP want her replaced

After the news broke, Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) media cell head Praveen Shankar Kapoor, who’s also the senior vice president of the Lav Kush Ramlila Committee, wrote to the organisers requesting that Poonam be swapped with another actor. According to PTI, Vishva Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) Prant Surendra Gupta has also objected to Poonam playing Mandodari in Ramlila.

According to the news agency, Praveen urged the organisers to distance themselves from Poonam and said, “Pandey has not only been off the screen for years but is also known for controversies over her photos and videos on social media.” However, the president of the committee, Arjun, told PTI, “We don’t see anything wrong with a woman playing a character that represents goodness in the Ramleela. Everyone deserves a chance.”

About Lav Kush Ramlila

Lav Kush Ramlila hosts one of the most iconic Ramlila performances in Delhi every year. Arjun stated that Poonam will play Mandodari and take the stage on 29 and 30 September. Performances are to begin from 22 September onwards. More than 500 performers will participate in the staging, which will take place at Red Ford Ground in New Delhi till 3 October, with a grand celebration planned for 2 October on Dussehra. Arya Babbar will play Ravan at the Ramlila this year.

This week, Kunickaa stirred controversy again by commenting that Nehal Chudasama and Ashnoor Kaur have no “girl-like nature”, prompting fashion content creator Komal Pandey to call her out.

A video from the show has surfaced online showing Amaal and Kunickaa having a chat in the garden. Amaal was heard saying, “Yeh generation ladkiyon ki kya chalak bani hai, kya alag hi paidayish hai (This generation of girls has become so cunning, as if they’re a different breed altogether).”

Kunickaa added, “Ek baat bolun aapko, Nehal ke andar 5% bhi ladkiyon waala nature nahi hai. Halwa jaise hi bana, she was like mujhe de do, arey voh log bhi line main khade hain. I was like what! Same with Ashnoor. While making breakfast, she said, ma’am main jaake breakfast karlun? I said nahi yahan khade raho, sabke liye banao uske baad khao, thoda sabar rakho (Let me tell you something, Nehal doesn’t have even 5% of ‘girl-like nature’. As soon as the halwa was ready, she said give it to me, while others were also standing in line. I was like, what! Same with Ashnoor. While making breakfast, she asked, ma’am can I go and eat? I told her no, stay here, make it for everyone first and then eat, have some patience).”

Komal defended Nehal and sharing the video on Instagram, she wrote: “w** is ‘ladkiyon wala nature’ bruh. Girls, please eat whenever you want to, no need to f***ng wait for literally anyone. Yeh kaun log hain (who are these people). What in the world is this person even babbling in 2025?”

Even viewers were irked by Kunickaa Sadanand’s remarks. One comment read: “Kunickaa is jealous of the young girls over there.” Another wrote: “And she is the so-called feminist.” Another user said: “Hypocritical pseudo-feminist she is.” While one more commented: “Age and experience ke naam pr she goes around harassing young girls in the house. She needs to be called out and ousted from BB (In the name of age and experience, she goes around harassing young girls in the house. She needs to be called out and ousted from Bigg Boss).”

In the last Weekend Ka Vaar hosted by Farah Khan, Kunickaa was criticised for dragging Tanya Mittal’s parents into a fight and questioning her upbringing. Farah told her she was coming across as controlling and bossy. However, it seems her words had little to no impact on Kunickaa.

Bigg Boss 19: Recent Development

Bigg Boss punished the housemates for discussing nominations and initially nominated the entire house. However, he later gave them a chance for redemption by asking every contestant to reveal two names they wanted to save. Eventually, Baseer Ali, Abhishek Bajaj, Ashnoor Kaur, Pranit More, and Nehal Chudasama were nominated for eviction. It now remains to be seen whose journey will come to an end this week.

Ashish revealed that he met Apoorva for the first time on The Traitors set and described it as a completely new experience. The encounter made him realise that he had been somewhat detached from a younger generation and its perspectives. Speaking about the controversy, he shared that Apoorva had messaged him to apologise, saying, “Her style is like that, you know. The way she talks, her existence, her persona… it’s all like that. She does her thing, and I do mine; that’s fine. Frankly, when Sudhanshu came, I found out what he said, and within a day, she sent me a WhatsApp message. She said, ‘Sir, I want to apologise.’ I called her up and said, ‘Apoorva, I spoke to you there too, and I think you’re a wonderful human being, it’s all good.'”

Ashish added, “Apoorva has come out of an amazing journey, and there’s a lot of dignity in her. She loves her family and does a lot for them. That’s why I told her to choose her path; those people might try to force her into a certain persona, but she should choose her own path. I was very happy with our conversation. In fact, she said she’d like to have lunch with me one day, and I said, ‘Absolutely.’ Now that I think about it, if I’m in town and she has time, we’ll definitely do it. I have no hard feelings at all.”

Meanwhile, Anupamaa-fame actor Sudhanshu Pandey criticised Apoorva in one of his Instagram live sessions, saying, “Ashish bhai — Ashish Vidyarthi — who is such a senior actor — he’s very senior to me as well. So, behind my back, she was talking about Ashish bhai, and was saying, ‘Mujhe lagta hai Ashish jayega.’ (I feel Ashish will go).”

He further added, “Is he your childhood friend or what? Is he your childhood friend? What kind of way is this to talk about people — about actors who are older than even your parents? You’re talking about them like this behind their back? What does this say about you? Please tell me — is this Gen Z? Is this what we think is cool? No, I’m sorry — this is not cool at all. I think this is the biggest bullsh*t, and it’s like a curse on our society.”

About The Traitors

Hosted by Karan Johar, the show featured 20 celebrities divided into two groups — Innocents and Traitors. Through missions and nightly eliminations, the Innocents aimed to eject all the Traitors; if successful, the prize money was split. If even one Traitor survived, they claimed the entire sum. The first season was won by Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther, who played as Innocents. The second season has already been announced.
