bitchy | Palace insiders: The Sussexes are ‘so tacky’ for attending Kris Jenner’s party

written by jummy84

Kris Jenner did several photo dumps from her 70th birthday party, which looked like a really fun night. Ostentatious? Sure. But rich celebrities are going to throw parties, and it’s not like any of it came from American taxpayers. Speaking of, all of the hand-wringing over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s attendance at Kris Jenner’s party is leaving me cold. Meghan and Harry are friendly with the K-J clan and we’ve seen that for years. Kris’s party was full of A-listers like Oprah, Tyler Perry, Mariah Carey, Beyonce and Jay-Z, all of whom are also friendly with Harry and Meghan. The Sussexes had every reason to be invited, and every reason to attend. Their attendance did a lot to blow up the British media’s narratives about “no one in LA likes the Sussexes” and “A-listers snub the Sussexes,” narratives which were just being circulated anew LAST WEEK. Now we’re getting a return to another huffy narrative, straight from Prince William and Kensington Palace: Harry and Meghan are “tacky” for attending a party with A-listers and billionaires. William would never!

Palace insiders are appalled by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s grinning appearance at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday bash — and say it shows just why the couple should not be accepted back in the royal fold.

“It’s so tacky,” said one palace insider who works with the royal family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex dressed up in black tie and joined a bevy of Hollywood stars at Jenner’s party, thrown by Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and wife Lauren Sánchez at their $165 million Beverly Hills estate Saturday night. They were joined by celebs including Beyoncé and Jay Z, Martha Stewart, Mariah Carey, Oprah Winfrey, Paris Hilton, Adele, all the Kardashians — and Jenner’s plastic surgeon, Dr Steven Levine, who is responsible for her astonishing facelift.

“It truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family. These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy,” the insider said.

Their appearance also shows just how entrenched the Sussexes are within Hollywood, as Bezos’s company is making Markle’s upcoming movie, “Close Personal Friends.” She will play herself in the romantic comedy and landed the cameo as she has a “connection” with the filmmakers, sources said. The movie is being made by Amazon MGM, which is owned by Bezos, and produced by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. Markle filmed her cameo last week, but we are told it doesn’t mean the former “Suits” star is making a real return to acting.

“That’s overstating things,” said an industry source.

Despite the couple having gone Hollywood, the insider admitted that some palace officials think Harry and Markle should be brought back to the royal family to help when Harry’s estranged brother, Prince William, eventually takes the throne.

However, the insider said, “William has made it clear that he has a plan for being king, and he has true class. I think he will look at the younger royals to help, including Prince Edward’s children.”

[From Page Six]

How dare the Sussexes attend an A-list party and successfully network and enjoy themselves among friends! That’s not the classy royal way! The classy royal way is to pay settlements to your rape victim! The classy royal way is paying celebrities like Kylie Minogue and David Beckham to fly on private jets around the world for your vanity environmental bullsh-t! The classy royal way is to beg British celebrities to perform at your coronation, but all of them refused so you had to hire two American artists AND make an appearance on American Idol! They’re not mad that the Sussexes are “tacky,” they’re mad that Harry and Meghan are rolling with the biggest celebrities in the world, full stop.

bitchy | Prince Harry formally requested a Ravec risk assessment & the palace is big mad

by jummy84 October 13, 2025
written by jummy84

In early May, a UK court rejected Prince Harry’s efforts to gain any kind of police protection for himself and his family within the UK. The Sussexes’ security was yanked in early 2020, partially as punishment for exiting the UK and partially as punishment for Harry’s lawsuits against the British press. The withdrawal of the Sussexes’ security was never about the actual threat-level or danger they faced in the UK. Which is bonkers to say out loud – a national security apparatus has no interest in protecting individuals under extreme risk, simply because the childishly deranged Windsors are mad that they can’t control a young family. Harry correctly called this an “Establishment stitch-up,” and security experts in the UK agree. Well, when Harry was in the UK last month, a stalker came within a few feet of Harry at two of his events. Harry had no police protection for the majority of his time during the visit. So once again, Harry is requesting that Ravec order a risk-assessment:

The Duke of Sussex has revived his security battle with the Home Office by writing to the home secretary, Shabana Mahmood, about his case. A formal request has been lodged by the prince with the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec) which is overseen by the Home Office, asking for a risk-assessment process to be conducted.

Sources close to the process confirm that Harry has written to Mahmood, having previously been in correspondence with her predecessor, Yvette Cooper. A source close to the duke said that while he recognises his case will not be top of Mahmood’s priority list, he has asked for Ravec to “abide by its own rules” — that a risk management board (RMB) should be conducted for each member of the royal family and other qualifying VIPs every year.

“I can confirm that the duke has written to the new Home Secretary asking for a risk management board to be conducted,” the source said. “While he realises this will not be top of the incoming secretary’s in-tray it is something which should have happened a long time ago. We have had the can kicked down the road for quite a while now but all he’s asking is for Ravec to abide by its own rules which state that an RMB should be conducted each year. The last one for the duke was in 2019.”

[From The Times]

Harry used his Ravec legal actions to understand how Ravec functions, to learn who sits on the committee and how they make their decisions. He’s pointing out that Ravec has failed to adhere to their own charter, their own regulations and rules. He’s once again appealing to a government official to break from the Establishment stitch-up and simply do a risk assessment. As you can imagine, this formal request has gone over poorly within the Establishment. Within 24 hours, King Charles and his courtiers (some of whom sit on Ravec) went to Roya Nikkhah at the Times with this:

The Duke of Sussex’s renewal of his battle with the government over security risks derailing his reconciliation with the King. Sources close to the monarch said Prince Harry’s decision to lobby Shabana Mahmood, the home secretary, asking for his taxpayer-funded security in the UK to be reviewed “complicates things for the King”.

Harry currently receives “bespoke” protection on a case-by-case basis when he visits the UK after he lost his right to automatic round-the-clock security when he stepped back from royal life and moved to America in 2020. His letter to Mahmood, which was revealed on Friday, will once again make the King wary of contact with his younger son.

“It’s not going to help matters,” said a royal source. “We’re back to where we were.”

In September, the King, 76, and the duke, 41, met for the first time in 19 months, over a private 50-minute tea at Clarence House, following Harry’s pleas for “reconciliation” with his family after losing his legal battle with the government in May.

A royal source said: “The King cannot and will not lobby, that’s inappropriate. His representatives cannot advocate for policy outcomes, particularly in relation to his own family. The royal household representative on the Royal and VIP executive committee [Ravec], overseen by the Home Office, is not there to advocate a position for a member of the royal family. They are purely there as a liaison to the household.”

The source added: “If you put yourself in the mind of a father who is repeatedly told he should and could intervene, that is not very helpful, complicates matters and shows a lack of understanding about the reality of the situation.”

But sources close to the duke have repeatedly said he feels his father should intervene in the process. In an interview after the Court of Appeal ruling against him in May, the duke described the judgment as “a good old-fashioned establishment stitch up”, and told the BBC: “I don’t know how much longer my father has. He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff.”

[From The Times]

Harry is only asking for a risk assessment, and this is the reaction. Mind-boggling. He’s only asking for Ravec to adhere to their own rules and the palace immediately rushes to threaten Harry with what amounts to “if you continue pursuing this, we won’t let you see your father again!” Besides which, Harry is correct! About all of it! Charles could intervene, and Charles’s courtiers could intervene and ensure the Sussexes’ security for a visit. Just like they intervened to withdraw the protection!!

bitchy | The palace lied about Princess Kate doing her own wedding-day makeup

by jummy84 October 2, 2025
written by jummy84

So much of the Princess of Wales’s wedding look holds up. She went for a super-traditional wedding gown and it looked great. She single-handedly brought back lace sleeves for wedding gowns. It was considered controversial that she wore her hair half-down, but it looked nice. Her veil was pretty and the Cartier Halo Tiara suited her. The only parts of her wedding look which really “date” the wedding is the fact that Kate overdid the fake bronzer and she was a pale orange in many photos. That, and her makeup was too heavy. Since 2011, the excuse for the too-heavy eye makeup was “Kate did her wedding makeup herself, she took lessons and she wanted to look like herself.” Unfortunately, much like Pippa’s wedding ass, the makeup story was made of lies.

Kate Middleton had some help in achieving her royal wedding look, dispelling a longstanding rumor that she did her own makeup for her walk down the aisle.

Makeup mogul Bobbi Brown appeared on the Breaking Beauty podcast to promote her new book, Still Bobbi. During the episode, the conversation turned to Kate’s April 2011 wedding to Prince William — and while she used Bobbi Brown products, the makeup artist said she wasn’t the one to apply them.

“I didn’t do her makeup. I wish I did,” Brown, 68, said in the interview. “It was one of my artists, Hannah Martin, who’s become quite a sensation in the U.K.”

It was previously believed that the Princess of Wales, now 43, did her own makeup for the big day after taking lessons. However, Brown confirmed to the hosts, “Hannah did her makeup.”

“Hannah did give me some information that I should set my alarm and watch,” the makeup guru added. “We were texting back and forth, and she’s like, ‘Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God.’ ”

When asked if they were allowed to claim credit for the look, Brown said, “We didn’t as a company use it — no one did that back then. It wasn’t the right thing to do.”

She added that she has a note hanging in her office from someone who wrote letters on behalf of the royal, saying “how much she appreciated the makeup.”

[From People]

This is insane, do you guys realize that? The “Kate did her own makeup” lie came straight from the palace! It was one of THE talking points about the wedding and Kate’s whole look. She’s taken credit for doing her own makeup for over fourteen years! It’s such a bizarre thing to lie about too, much like Kate’s dumb hairpieces. Kate’s office keeps insisting that all of that is her real hair (lmao) just like they kept insisting in 2011 that Kate did her own makeup. Wasn’t that used as a cudgel against Meghan as well? Because Meghan came out and said that Daniel Martin did her wedding-day makeup and people were like “how gauche, how Hollywood, perfect Kate did her own makeup!” THE LIES!!

bitchy | Sykes: Prince Harry’s palace enemies have ‘lured him into their trap’

by jummy84 September 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Tom Sykes has been doing the most to promote his Royalist Substack, and this weekend, he was full of drama over Prince Harry’s clapback on The Sun. Harry’s spokesperson drew a direct line between The Sun’s exclusive cover story and the courtiers hellbent on sabotaging King Charles and Prince Harry’s reconciliation. Sykes did a live video in which he explained the connections between what Harry wrote about in Spare and how many institutional factions are anti-Sussex. For what it’s worth, I think a lot of people are missing the fact that Prince William’s office has posed as “sources close to the Sussexes” to spread lies about Harry and Meghan’s moves and motivations for years. Whenever a story pops up with some really shady quotes from “sources close to Harry,” you can assume it’s from Kensington Palace’s workshop. Now, did the Sun’s exclusive come from KP? Eh. I think the detail about Harry giving his father a photo was what set off Harry. It was the kind of thing which could have only come from Charles’s inner camp, imo. Which is why Harry was so forceful in pushing back.

Well, on Sunday, the palace saboteurs responded to all of this melodrama by declaring that King Charles was “saddened and disappointed” by Harry’s spokesperson’s statement. I feel like it’s notable that the reaction wasn’t a full, screeching hissy fit – the response was weak and vague, because Harry hit his target accurately and showed that he’s perfectly capable of calling them out publicly. But, according to Sykes, “Harry’s Enemies in King Charles’ Court Have Lured Him Into Their Trap.” Sykes now believes that “Harry… needs to stop reacting every time his enemies prod him if he is to preserve his fragile reconciliation with his dad.”

I said in my Live yesterday—recorded in the admittedly unsatisfactory lighting conditions of the gloaming outside Slane Castle in Ireland and with way too many ‘ums’—that I believed that the palace had set a trap for Harry when insiders planted a story in the Sun saying that Harry’s meeting with his father was a distinctly chilly affair, more like an official audience than a father-son reunion.

I noted that I felt Harry had walked right into its jaws by taking the bait, and issuing one of his trademark angry outbursts at palace operatives, accusing the “men in grey suits” of leaking “pure invention” to the media with the aim of “sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son.”

I suggested that Harry was pointing the finger at his great foes in Charles’ office, Sir Clive Alderton (“the wasp”) and Tobyn Andreae.

I also said that having provoked a response, anti-reconciliation courtiers would now be able to say that Harry had betrayed his promise not to re-escalate tensions with the family or stoke controversy around the September 10 meeting which saw Harry meet the King for “a private tea” at Clarence House, the first time that the King had met with his younger son for 19 months.

And lo! The trap just snapped shut. My point has been proven (rather quicker than I anticipated, I must confess) by a wounding story in the London Times saying that “the palace” (the Times’s careful choice of words) has been left “saddened and perplexed” by Harry’s claim that “the institution” (more careful syntax) is “sabotaging” his attempts to reconcile with the King.

[From The Royalist Substack]

A few things…it looks more like the courtiers fell into Harry’s trap by leaking the highly specific detail about the photo. “Anti-reconciliation courtiers would now be able to say that Harry had betrayed his promise not to re-escalate tensions with the family or stoke controversy around the September 10 meeting.” Those are the same courtiers who A) leaked the sh-t in the first place and B) have consistently failed to rein in Prince William, who had a loud, messy nervous breakdown over the meeting and hasn’t shut up about it for weeks. Some of you rolled your eyes about my belief that Harry and Charles agreed to not leak details of any conversations and meetings. You guys are wrong – there absolutely was an agreement, and it was one of Charles’s few prerequisites. Harry has maintained his side of the bargain, Charles has not.

Here’s more from Sykes:

Having previously all ganged up to denigrate Harry’s book ‘Spare’, Sykes now compares the courtiers to the Deep State & says they yield a lot of power & pursue their own agendas. Duh … that’s exactly what Harry told us in his book & you all said he was lying. pic.twitter.com/pWlEcqrYTo

bitchy | King Charles is ‘saddened & disappointed’ by Harry calling out palace saboteurs

On Saturday, Prince Harry’s spokesperson clapped back on an exclusive Sun cover story. The story was all about Harry’s September 10th meeting with his father at Clarence House, and how Harry was surprised by the formality of the meeting, etc – go here to read. Someone had given the Sun a big briefing about the meeting and that someone was not Harry. Harry’s statement said that the Sun’s report was “categorically false. The quotes attributed to him are pure invention fed, one can only assume, by sources intent on sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son.” Tom Sykes, on his Royalist Substack, pointed out that Harry is drawing “a line straight back to the top tier of his father’s household.” Sykes names Clive Alderton (Charles’s private secretary) and Tobyn Andreae (comms secretary) as the main culprits. Sykes says that those two are the most likely to feel “threatened” by a reconciliation between father and son. Well, Buckingham Palace has responded to… Harry’s statement. From a Times exclusive:

The palace has been left “saddened and perplexed” by Prince Harry’s latest claim that the institution is “sabotaging” the relationship with his father, the King.

The Duke of Sussex appeared to accuse courtiers of leaking information about a meeting with his father this month, amid reports that the prince had claimed “men in grey suits”, were responsible.

The news has been met with disappointment by friends of the King.

A royal source said: “The reality is that senior aides have been working behind the scenes to improve what is a delicate but important private family relationship.”

On September 10 the duke saw the King for what was described as “a private tea” at Clarence House. The 50-minute meeting was the first time that the King had met with his younger son for 19 months. Afterwards, the duke appeared relaxed, telling guests at a charity reception in London that his father was “great”.

[From The Times]

This is gaslighting. It’s also yet another example of why this family is so screwed up. There’s absolutely no reason for “senior aides” to work diligently to improve a father’s relationship with his son. That’s between Charles and Harry. It was always between Charles and Harry, despite the efforts of those SAME senior aides working diligently to sow divisions and mistrust between Charles and Harry, which they’re still doing by leaking details of a private meeting to the Sun. Anyway, it sounds more like Charles’s senior aides are “saddened and perplexed” by Harry’s refusal to allow them to lie and sabotage behind-the-scenes.

bitchy | Walden: Prince Harry should be half-in, so the palace can have control over him!

On Monday, I covered the weekend melodramas over Prince Harry’s fictitious desire to become a working royal once again. As I said, you have to keep several things in mind for all of these “Harry should come back/Harry can never be allowed to be a working royal again” stories. One, the sources are never actually in the Sussexes’ camp, it’s almost always coming out of Kensington Palace or Buckingham Palace’s rage-briefings or WhatsApps. Two, the Windsors quite genuinely believe that all charitable work falls under the umbrella of “royal work.” Thus, when Harry does events with his private patronages in the UK, they believe that he’s doing “royal work,” which is “not allowed” per the Sandringham Summit. Three, for years, the Windsors have conflated Harry’s words about wanting familial reconciliation to mean “he wants to come back and live in the UK.” All of that played out in a series of hilariously ragebaity briefings and Mail exclusives over the weekend.

So, once again, for the millionth time: Harry lives in California. He’s happy there, he’s raising his kids in America, he enjoys working and protecting his peace and not being assaulted by his brother. Concurrently, he would also like to spend more time with his father in what sounds like Charles’s final year(s), and he would like to feel safe enough to bring his wife and children over TO VISIT. Harry would also like to continue working with various British charities. That’s it. That’s the extent of it. But these delusional bitches are still writing feverish columns about how Harry absolutely SHOULD come back to be a “working royal.” Like this piece from Celia Walden at the Telegraph – an excerpt:

Reconciliations can be multi-tiered, however, and in the case of King Charles III’s long-awaited reconciliation with his youngest son after 19 months apart, I think everyone with any ounce of compassion will have been hoping that the Sept 10 meeting was just the start of a deeper rapprochement. What people might not have been expecting, however – and only emerged on Sunday – is that some of those 54 minutes were used to discuss a new role for Prince Harry within The Firm.

According to The Mail on Sunday, who cited “sources apparently close to the Duke of Sussex”, the meeting not only signalled a “thawing of their relationship” and the “acceptance” of his family “back into the royal fold”, but the start of a new working model for the ex-royal, who apparently now plans to return to the UK “four or five times a year” for “public events”.

The suggestion that this kind of formal, but informal, role might work was immediately rebutted by Palace sources yesterday, who told The Telegraph: “The King has been absolutely clear in upholding his late mother’s decision that there can be no ‘half-in, half-out’ public role for members of the family.” And my reaction surprised me.

Why can’t Harry be allowed to be a half-in, half-out royal? That’s essentially what he is now, given no one has taken his title away, and he conducts faux royal tours to the likes of Nigeria and Columbia on a whim. When you consider the kind of gaffes The Sussexes are prone to if left to their own devices (Harry’s US visa and admissions of past drug use, being just one example), wouldn’t it also simply be safer for the Palace to have a little involvement in where he goes and who he sees?

Harry also still does a substantial amount of high-profile charity work, as we know – with the HALO Trust, Sentebale, the Invictus Games and his Archewell projects – and whatever you think of his behaviour over the past five years, he has always been incredibly good at the kind of interactions charity work necessitates. Like his mother before him, he tends to be warm and natural in even the most stilted situations. If those talents could be harnessed and used to the Royal family’s advantage, why not?

While one can’t but admire the late Queen Elizabeth’s extraordinary work ethic and discipline, there is also a reality to consider. As time goes on, younger members of The Firm are likely to want to work less than their elders. If this enrages you, remember that they would only be following the same trajectory as the rest of their generation, and, indeed, the rest of the country. Denying them that possibility, now that Megxit has made having your cake and eating it a possibility, is a risk, isn’t it? Whereas allowing (if not embracing) a more part-time model, might just help with The Firm’s long-term survival.

If there is any truth to these rumours of a new role for the Prince within The Firm, however, and if it does turn out to be something father and son actively want, there would have to be a final blab warning in the contract. Not the small print, but bolded-up in font size 72, please. “If a single more word about the inner workings of this Firm makes its way onto Oprah’s airwaves, into a Netflix special or a bestselling follow-up memoir, you’re out.”

[From The Telegraph]

It’s been five years and nine months of this sh-t, this back and forth debate about whether the institution made the right call by denying Harry and Meghan’s “half in” offer. I don’t even believe it was QEII’s decision – QEII’s courtiers, then-Prince Charles and Prince William all made the call to reject the half-in offer. Their decision has been catastrophic, and we’ve watched the blowback on the institution unfold in real time. What’s even funnier is watching how few people can even admit how badly the Windsors f–ked up. The Sussexit was THE thing, it was the real beginning of the end. And I hope everyone knows by now that the whole reason why “half in” was rejected was because they thought Harry would eventually come crawling back home, broke and divorced. That was the big plan. And since they didn’t get the result they wanted, now they’re like “oh wait maybe we should LET him come back, but only if he begs, only if he admits he was wrong!” Abandonment Issues Isle.

Santa Barbara, CA Prince Harry and wife Meghan appear together at the One805 Live! event at Kevin Costner’s Santa Barbara polo field to honor first responders. The couple arrived together at around 5pm (Sept 20). They greeted well wishers in the backstage area and went to a VIP section. Meghan appeared briefly onstage with Harry as he gave an award to a first responder called Sam Dudley who helps colleagues with their mental health issues via a ‘Peer Support’ scheme. Meghan left the stage after Harry said to her ‘Oh hi hi hi’ and said nothing. She was criticized when she appeared at the same event two years ago for taking the spotlight away from those being paid tribute. Harry also made friends with and kissed the Sam’s dog, Rhonda. There was no sign of Kevin Costner himself at the event. Also spotted in the crowd were Rob Lowe, Oprah Winfrey and Maria Shriver.

TV’s one of most controversial show ‘Bigg Boss 19’ has started grabbing the attention of the audience from the very first day. The explosive drama has kept the audience glued to the screen and social media influencer Tanya Mittal is facing criticism for her statements made on the show. She had earlier said that everyone keeps calling her ‘Boss’ and then revealed that she and her 100 bodyguards had saved the lives of many people during the Kumbh Mela.

Tanya Mittal

However, amid this rhetoric of Tanya Mittal, a video of her house has surfaced online. While Tanya keeps talking about her house, a video of the luxurious house was shared from a page on the internet and the caption said that this is her house and she was not lying. But the truth of this beautifully decorated house turned out to be something else.

Tanya Mittal

As soon as this video surfaced on the internet in the name of Tanya Mittal’s house, it looked very huge and very beautiful. Anyone’s eyes would be dazzled by seeing a glimpse inside it. But people made the truth clear in the comment section. Everyone told that this is not Tanya’s house but the most expensive palace in Pakistan. The name of this property is The Royal Palace House, which is located in Gulberg, Islamabad.

Tanya Mittal

The Royal Palace House is a building of 10 Kanal, which is said to be the most expensive house in the country, which is famous for its lavish facilities, including theaters, gyms, swimming pools and gardens. The estimated value of the palace is 1.25 billion i.e. about 125 crores. In Bigg Boss 19, Tanya Mittal had recently told in a conversation with Neelam that her house is really very beautiful and looks like heaven on earth. However, not even a single picture of her house has surfaced on social media.

bitchy | Prince William is a ‘visionary’ for refusing to move into Buckingham Palace

by jummy84 August 29, 2025
written by jummy84

Pre-pandemic, Queen Elizabeth II was already moving over to Windsor Castle, a relocation born out of necessity given the costly renovation project for Buckingham Palace. It’s a decade-long restoration, renovation and modernization for a drafty, outdated old palace, and the whole project costs the British taxpayers £369 million. Currently, King Charles is still based out of Clarence House when he’s in London, but he conducts events at BP, like garden parties and meetings with diplomats and politicians. Charles’s convenient line is that of course he’ll live in BP when the renovations are done, but until then (2027), he’s just staying put in Clarence House. The way Prince William and Kate are making it sound, they simply have no plans to live in Buckingham Palace or even use it for state events when they’re king and queen. Sources have indicated that William thinks BP should be open to the public full-time, all while he lives in his multiple forever-homes, Forest Lodge and Anmer Hall and Kensington Palace. Now Ingrid Seward claims that everyone always knew that William will refuse to move into BP.

“William was never going to move into Buckingham Palace,” Ingrid Seward, royal biographer and Editor-in-Chief of Majesty Magazine, tells HELLO! in this week’s edition. “He has never had any fondness for it, and he probably hasn’t spent much time there. The Queen and Prince Philip were devastated when they had to move out of Clarence House; Winston Churchill told them that the Queen had to live in a palace. But that was then, and this is now. Maybe Buckingham Palace will open to the public all year round, rather than only in the summer, and they will use Windsor Castle for banquets.”

Royal insiders say that their new home’s location will enable the Prince and Princess, who regularly do the school run, to remain “hands-on” parents. Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, ten, and Prince Louis, seven, currently attend nearby Lambrook School in Berkshire. After his 13th birthday next July, George is set to move schools, with Eton College tipped to be the frontrunner.

“I think William will be a hands-on father as well as a monarch, which is quite difficult, but I think he will manage it by changing the way that things are run, including being more self-sufficient and not being reliant on the taxpayer,” Ingrid tells HELLO!. “He is quite visionary, and can see that the monarchy has to change in order to survive.”

[From Hello]

“He is quite visionary.” Trying to make a silk purse out a sow’s ear. It’s not “visionary” to be lazy and entitled! And what I keep coming back to is…if it was common knowledge that Charles doesn’t want to live in BP and William was always going to refuse to live there, why the costly restoration? If everyone knew that BP would just be used as a museum and maybe for a handful of state occasions, why not just live with the ruins? Make some updates so that it’s up to whatever building code (does BP have to adhere to building codes??), but the whole point of the restoration was to make it HABITABLE. To make it more functional for the monarch in residence and the staff needed to run the palace as a home.

bitchy | Hardman: The prime minister will have to order ‘King William’ to live in a palace

by jummy84 August 24, 2025
written by jummy84

My strong belief is that Prince William, soon after becoming king, will quickly change his story and announce a brand new plan to live in one or several of the main palaces and castles. I still believe that Prince William and Kate’s whole “Forest Lodge is our forever home, we will live here even after Charles dies” story is just a placeholder lie from an office with zero credibility. But it’s been fascinating to watch the British press take the “forever home” story at face value and proceed to freak out. Royal historian/biographer Robert Hardman is the latest to comment about the forever-home Forest Lodge drama, and Hardman brushes up against the sad truth that not even the prime minister could conceivably “order” King William to move into Buckingham Palace.

Later this year, the Prince and Princess of Wales will move into their “forever home” with their young family – Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park. The future King William could easily commute from Forest Lodge to Buckingham Palace for official work, via the M4 or a faster helicopter, but how often would he realistically do this?

Royal Author Robert Hardman told GB News this week that Prince William residing permanently at Forest Lodge is not “tenable”. Speaking to Jacob Rees-Mogg, he said: “I don’t think that’s tenable. When the late Queen came to the throne in 1952, she and Prince Philip had just done up Clarence House as a sort of family home with their two young children. They loved it, and they didn’t want to move. The Queen Mother, who was resident at Buckingham Palace, didn’t want to move out. And so they presented [their plans] to the Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, and it was Churchill who said no, no, no, you’ve got to move in [to Buckingham Palace]. The monarch has to live above the shop.”

Jacob replied: “Churchill’s advice was right, wasn’t it, that the King needs to be the sovereign, needs to be in Buckingham Palace, needs to be present in that central place and that somebody, maybe Keir Starmer, I hope it’s one of his long distance successors, will have to give that advice in due course.”

Mr Hardman conceded: “That will be a difficult conversation for whichever Prime Minister it is because when you had Winston Churchill, the greatest statesman of the age, in an avuncular way, saying to a 25-year-old mother of two who’s very much turning to him for advice. And when Churchill said. ‘I think you belong at Buckingham Palace, would you please go there?’ Then that’s what you did. Of course, [Prince William] will be a harder nut to crack for a future PM, but I think Buckingham Palace depends on having a visceral connection between the monarch and Royal HQ.”

[From GB News]

“Maybe Keir Starmer, I hope it’s one of his long distance successors…” I mean, they’re now openly hoping that King Charles lives decades longer so they don’t have to deal with King Willy the Work-Shy. It’s true that Winston Churchill basically ordering a young QEII to move into Buckingham Palace was a much different situation than whatever is happening now. William will be in his 40s or 50s when his father dies, with three kids going to school full-time. Is William still going to say “no, I insist on hiding out in Forest Lodge forever” when all three kids are teenagers? It’s all a huge mess, but when in doubt, just assume that William and his office are lying.
