Tapestry Raises Outlook After Sales Climb 12% in Q1

Tapestry — the parent company of Coach and Kate Spade — said sales grew 12% year-on-year on a constant currency basis to $1.7 billion in the first quarter of 2026, ending 27 September 2025. The growth was driven by Coach, which continues to perform well among Gen Z consumers.

Tapestry completed the sale of Stuart Weitzman in August and therefore also reported performance excluding the footwear brand. Without Stuart Weitzman, sales grew 16% to $1.69 billion.

Gross profit increased 15% while gross margin increased from 75.3% to 76.3%. The positive impact of the Stuart Weitzman sale was partially offset by the negative impact of tariffs and currency headwinds, the company said.

The company increased its full-year outlook. It now expects revenue to reach around $7.3 billion compared to its prior $7.2 billion guidance, representing 4 to 5% growth on a reported basis (excluding Stuart Weitzman, revenue is expected to rise 7% to 8%).

“Our first quarter marked a powerful start to our next chapter of growth,” CEO Joanne Crevoiserat said on the earnings call. “This outperformance positioned us to increase our outlook for the year, reinforcing that our advantages are structural and sustainable.”

In September, Tapestry introduced its new strategy for growth, Amplify, which aims to build emotional connection with customers; fuel fashion innovation and product excellence; deliver compelling experiences to drive global growth; and ignite the power of its people, developing a “customer-obsessed” internal culture.

Tapestry acquired 2.2 million new customers this quarter, with Gen Z accounting for 35% of them. “Our new and younger customers are transacting at a higher AUR and have a higher retention rate than the balance of our client base. They are also influencing all generations as we achieve growth and acquisition and retention among both Gen Z and non-Gen Z cohorts, a clear signal of our growing brand resonance and reach,” said Crevoiserat.

At Coach, sales grew 21% to $1.43 billion, driven by strong leather goods acceleration in addition to bag charms and straps, which customers are drawn to for the opportunity to customise their bags, Crevoiserat noted. Average unit retail (AUR) increased by a mid-teens percentage. This quarter, Coach introduced two new coffee shops in its US outlets, in Jersey Gardens in New Jersey, and Woodbury Common in New York. “These activations go beyond marketing. They’re driving longer dwell times, commercial momentum and deepening emotional connections with the brand,” said Crevoiserat. Coach allocated 11% of its budget to marketing in Q2, increasing 43% in dollar value year-on-year, which Coach CEO Todd Kahn said he sees as a future-proofing investment.

Danielle Fishel’s cancer treatment changed her outlook

Danielle Fishel’s cancer battle inspired her to compete on Dancing with the Stars.

Danielle Fishel was diagnosed with cancer in 2024

The 44-year-old actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024, and after undergoing treatment, Danielle started to look at life in an entirely new way.

She told People: “The minute I was done with my cancer treatment, I thought to myself, ‘If this has shown me anything, it has shown me that I am not experiencing enough joy in my life.'”

Danielle is now determined to have more “fun” in her day-to-day life.

The actress – who is best known for playing Topanga Lawrence in Boy Meets World – said: “I’m going through every day, performing tasks and being there for my family and being there for work. Where’s the fun?

“When they asked me to do this, I was like, ‘This is the perfect way to cap it off.'”

Danielle previously admitted that her cancer diagnosis consumed her entire life at one point in time.

The actress actually found it hard to focus on anything else amid her treatment.

She told People last year: “It’s like, ‘Wow. Even for cancer that was found at stage zero, my whole life has changed’.

“My life has become many doctor’s appointments and constantly checking up. And it’ll be monitoring side effects.

“It’s not fun, but it is what it is. And with all that said, I’m very fortunate and I’m going to live, which is the most important thing.”

Danielle is also determined to encourage other people to pay closer attention to their own health.

She said: “When I was trying to make the decision about whether or not I wanted to talk about it publicly, my first instinct was to just keep it quiet, not tell anybody and just get through it. Suffer through it alone.

“But it was like, okay, I have the ability to go out there and tell a large amount of people that had it not been for me being so on top of my yearly check-up, I may not have found this.

“Had I said, ‘I did my mammogram last year, I was totally fine. What are the odds that in one year I’m going to have anything? I’ll be fine. I’ll put it off,’ it could have been much worse for me.”

Regina King Opens Up About How Son’s Death Changed Her Outlook On Life

Regina King is opening up about how the death of her son Ian has transformed her perspective on life. The acclaimed actress says the event has led her to be more present and even inspired a meaningful entrepreneurial venture.

In her new Haute Living cover story, the Shirely actress said,

“I think in life, it’s harder and harder to have those meaningful moments. And that’s why, when I have them now, they feel even more special. We have them less and less as time goes on, and we have to work harder to have them.” When speaking about how she lives differently now while carrying grief, she said, “I one thousand percent live in the moment more. I don’t know if that’s something that just comes with time, or with pain, or with the pandemic — probably all of it. But I feel it.”

Her son Ian died by suicide in January 2022 at the age of 26. He was her only child and she shared him with her ex-husband, Ian Alexander Sr..

The Oscar-winning actress is focused on keeping her son’s memory alive in her life, most recently in the form of an orange wine. Her newly launched brand is named MianU — short for “me and you” — and was inspired by the wine Ian introduced her to.

“It was kind of an epiphany I had that came from a place of continuing to create memories in Ian’s spirit. I’m still here, on this plane, separate from him, and I’m surrounded by people talking about their children — engagements, weddings, new chapters — [while mine is gone],” she told the outlet. “I still love talking about Ian: I just don’t have the chance to create new memories in the way they do. But I’m not focused on that. This is my way of creating something new, together.”

The wine is deeply meaningful to her because it reminds her of her son constantly, with each and every moment. “Every time a cork opens, or every time I’m pouring a glass, I’m thinking of Ian. I’m thinking of him 24/7 anyway, but always in this moment, I can see his face. And for people who never got the chance to dance with Ian, maybe they’ll be curious. Maybe they’ll ask. His name is right there, in the middle of it all. He’ll never be forgotten… If you see me, you see Ian,” she said.

Another way the Boondocks talent also aims to keep her son with her at all times is by intentionally speaking “about him in the present, because he’s always with me,” and remembering “the joy and happiness that he gave all of us.”
