Over the years, I’ve learned that a cute outfit is what actually motivates me to get to the gym or a Pilates class. Feeling put-together makes the workout experience more enjoyable and, interestingly enough, improves my form. However, lately I’ve been in a fashion rut, feeling uninspired to create chic looks. So I decided to take style notes from Hailey Bieber.
Whether in New York or L.A., Bieber is often seen leaving her Pilates classes in elevated workout outfits. Her looks blend sporty and practical with sophisticated and chic, standing out from what I usually see others wearing. For example, she rarely wears a three-piece look but might wear a matching sports bra and workout leggings set, then add unique outerwear, such as a trench coat or leather bomber jacket, to give the set her personal touch. Plus, whether intentional or not, she knows what makes a cute Pilates-to-brunch uniform, mixing formal pieces with casual ones to make it look like she didn’t come from a sweaty workout class.
What’s also interesting is that when it comes to activewear brands, she relies on only a few. In recent months, ALO Yoga and Form have been her top two choices. Bieber knows what she likes, which reflects her clear sense of personal style.

This is one of my favorite Pilates outfits that Bieber has worn. I love how she styled casual leggings with a sophisticated leather trench coat and classic ballet flats. The juxtaposition between the pieces is what makes it visually interesting and stylish. Finishing the look with a leopard-print shoulder bag made it a statement piece not just for walking into a Pilates class but also for grabbing a post-Pilates matcha.
