October 5 To October 11

by jummy84 October 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Cosmic beings, welcome to the week where eclipse season officially closes — and it doesn’t end with a whisper, it ends with a roar. On October 6th, the Aries Full Moon rises, bringing to culmination storylines that began back on March 29th, 2025, when the Aries Solar Eclipse cracked open new paths for us. If the spring invited you to name what you want, this week asks: have you fought for it, stood by it, and honored your needs without apology? Expect recognition — whether internal or external — for the seeds you dared to plant months ago. Aries energy doesn’t let you hide. It pushes you onto the stage, spotlight blazing, reminding you that your desires and boundaries matter as much as anyone else’s.

And this isn’t just any Aries Full Moon. It’s ruled by Mars, who is currently swimming through the depths of Scorpio. Mercury and Mars are both in Scorpio, turning the collective vibe into fiery lava: molten, raw, unmissable. Add Juno, the asteroid of commitment, in Sagittarius, another Fire sign, and you get this rare alchemy of passion, clarity, and intensity. It’s the kind of week where individuals realize their superpowers, and the collective realizes its power to unite. Think strikes, movements, protests, declarations of love, or simply saying “no more” where you’ve stayed quiet too long. Aries + Scorpio = power reclaimed.

New Music Friday October 3: Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl

by jummy84 October 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Happy New Music Friday! The weekend is here, which means Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, is finally here and ET has got it covered!

Taylor shared a series of behind the scenes photos when the album dropped and shared, “Tonight all these lives converge here. The mosaics of laughter and cocktails of tears where fraternal souls sing identical things and it’s beautiful. It’s rapturous. It is frightening. I can’t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right. A forever thank you goes out to my mentors and friends Max and Shellback for helping me paint this self portrait. If you thought the big show was wild, perhaps you should come and take a look behind the curtain…”

Taylor Swift

Earlier this week, Taylor celebrated good news with RIAA announcing that Taylor has become the first and only female artist in history to surpass 100 million RIAA Certified album units.

Also this week, Spotify celebrated Taylor’s new album by inviting fans into a 3-day immersive activation, “The Life of a Showgirl: A Spotify Experience,” in New York City ahead of the release. Fans were able to step into the life of a showgirl, capture photo moments, hunt for Easter eggs, and also got a first look at lyrics from the album. Today, Spotify announced Taylor’s album became its most streamed album in a single day in 2025 so far.

Spotify

Swifties will be celebrating Taylor’s new album this weekend with the release of TAYLOR SWIFT | THE OFFICIAL RELEASE PARTY OF A SHOWGIRL, which will be shown on thousands of movie theatre screens in the U.S. October 3 through October 5. Fans will see the exclusive world premiere of the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” along with behind the scenes footage from the music video shoot, brand new lyric videos, and Taylor’s never before seen personal reflections on songs from her new album. Get ready to dance as Taylor said, “Dancing is optional but very much encouraged.”

And we can’t forget about all the different vinyl editions. Taylor shared that she was so happy with her photo shoot and wanted her fans to have as many images from this album era. She chose a high gloss finish which she has never before and wanted this album to feel really luxurious. Taylor said, “The vinyl packaging, the CD packaging, the photographs, the photo cards, it’s all just something I’m very proud of and it took a lot of time to put together, a lot of concentration, a lot of organization but hopefully it pays off, I hope the fans are happy.”

For her 12th album, Taylor reunited with producers Max Martin and Shellback and delivered twelve “bangers” as she called them during her “New Heights” appearance in August. She shared, “This is the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time.” Now, let’s break down some of our favorite lyrics!

“The Fate of Ophelia”
Taylor references Ophelia from Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” but instead of a tragic fate, she was saved. She told Hit Radio that she has a fixation on Shakespeare characters and that this is a love song she is proud of. Travis also dropped an Easter egg from his post back in July when he wrote “Had some adventures this offseason, kept it 100.”

And if you’d never come for me
I might’ve drowned in the melancholy
I sore my loyal to me, myself and I
Right before you lit my sky up

You dug me out of my grave and saved my heart from the fate of Ophelia
Keep it 100 on the land, the sea, the sky

“Elizabeth Taylor”
Oftentimes it doesn’t feel so glamorous to be me
All the right guys promised they’d stay
Under bright lights, they withered away but you bloom
Portofino was on my mind
And I think you know why

“Opalite”
Travis shared on “New Heights” that this is his favorite song on the album which Taylor confirmed during her Capital Breakfast interview. She explained that opal is Travis’ birth stone and she has always loved that stone. She told Hits Radio that this song was so fun to write and how we think certain moments in our lives are major setbacks but actually catapult you forward in growth, wisdom and perspective.

I had a bad habit of missing lovers past
My brother used to call it eating out of the trash

It’s alright
You were dancing through the lightning strikes
Sleepless in the onyx night
But now the sky is opalite
Oh oh oh oh my Lord
Never met no one like you before
You had to make your own sunshine
But now the sky is opalite

“Father Figure”
Taylor interpolated George Michael’s “Father Figure” into her song. George Michael Entertainment thanked Taylor for including George in such a special moment. During her BBC Radio 1 interview, Taylor said this song was fun to write and is proud of the line I can make deals with the devil because my d*ck’s bigger and she also told Magic Radio that she wrote this song in character.

“Eldest Daughter”
But I’m never gonna let you down
I’m never gonna leave you out
So many traitors, smooth operators
But I’m never gonna break that vow
I’m never gonna leave you now

“Ruin The Friendship”
This is not about a broken friendship but about a loved one she lost in high school. She shares regret for not pursuing her friend at the time.

Would’ve been the best mistake
Should’ve kissed you anyway

When I left school, I lost track of you
Abigail called me with the bad news
Goodbye and we’ll never know why

“Actually Romantic”
Wrote me a song saying it makes you sick to see my face
Some people might be offended
But it’s actually sweet all the time you’ve spent on me
It’s honestly wild all the effort you’ve put int
It’s actually romantic

“Wi$h Li$t”
Taylor confirmed this might be her favorite song! She told Heart Breakfast that this was the last song she made for the album — it is a dreamy and romantic song and details things people aspire to have in their lives and she shares what she would want like wanting to settle down and start a family! When asked if she thinks she achieved the line bring me a best friend who I think is hot, Taylor said “100%! Look what I got!” and held up her engagement ring to the hosts.
I made wishes on all the stars, God please bring me a best friend who I think is hot. Thought I had it once, twice, but I did not.

I just want you
Have a couple kids, got the whole block lookin’ like you

Got me dreamin’ ’bout a driveway with a basketball hoop
Boss up, settle down, got a wish list
I just want you

“Wood”
All of that bitchin’ wishing on a falling star
Never did me any good
I ain’t got to knock on wood
It’s you and me forever dancin’ in the dark
All over me, it’s understood
I ain’t got to knock on wood

Forgive me, it sounds cocky
He ah-matized me and opened my eyes
Redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see
His love was the key that opened my thighs

“CANCELLED!”
Good thing I like my friends cancelled
I like them cloaked in Gucci and in scandal
Like my whiskey sour and poison thorny flowers
Welcome to my underworld where it gets quite dark
At least you know exactly who your friends are
They’re the ones with matching scars

“Honey”
You can call me honey if you want because I’m the one you want
You give it different meaning because you mean it when you talk

“The Life of a Showgirl” featuring Sabrina Carpenter
Taylor opened about this song during her Magic Radio interview about how the song is about meeting one of your idols who warns you against following in their footsteps because they want to be honest of how hard this industry is, but you do it anyway. She also opened up about how she was physically exhausted during the Eras Tour and needed to be emotionally and mentally stimulated, which led her to start writing this new album.

I’d sell my soul to have a taste of a magnificent life
That’s all mine but that’s not what showgirls get, they leave us for dead

by jummy84 October 2, 2025

Still, nothing tricks us into the spirit of autumn quite like scent. The smell of spiced apples and burnt sugar sends us right into an episode of Gilmore Girls, even if we’re in shorts. That’s probably why candle sales spike in the fall. According to the National Candle Association, more than 35% of candle sales happen in the fourth quarter, with many candle brands beginning to see major increases in September.

Netflix New Releases: October 2025

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

A gruesome retelling of the crimes of Ed Gein; a boat-based thriller packed with British thespians; the third season of ratings magnet The Diplomat; another glimpse behind the scenes at the NBA through five new stars; an investigation into what led to the demise of the Montreal Expos; a hotly anticipated new season of the internet’s favorite rom-com Nobody Wants This; and new films from Oscar-winners Kathryn Bigelow and Edward Berger are among the highlights of the new film and TV projects hitting Netflix in October.

The big series launch for Netflix in October is the latest entry in Ryan Murphy’s Monster anthology franchise. Monster: The Ed Gein Story debuts on Oct. 3 and stars Charlie Hunnam as the serial killer Ed Gein. It follows the harrowing Jeffrey Dahmer Story and the impactful Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, respectively. Each cycle of the Monster franchise tackles a different true-crime story, following the massive success of the series’ 2022 debut. The Ed Gein Story tells the story of how one simple man in Plainfield, Wisconsin, became “history’s most singular ghoul,” says the streamer, revealing to the world “the most horrific truth of all — that monsters aren’t born, they’re made … by us.” The cast also includes Tom Hollander, Laurie Metcalf and Suzanna Son, with Vicky Krieps, Olivia Williams, Lesley Manville, Joey Pollari, Charlie Hall, Tyler Jacob Moore, Mimi Kennedy, Will Brill and Robin Weigert.

On Oct. 10, Netflix drops Simon Stone’s psychological thriller The Woman in Cabin 10. The feature, based on the 2016 novel by Ruth Ware, has all the ingredients of the perfect midweek movie, a delicious cast full of classy Brit actors, a dollop of mystery and a scrumptious 1 hour and 30 minute runtime. The film stars Keira Knightley as a travel journalist who is aboard a luxury yacht when she sees a passenger thrown overboard in the middle of the night. When the crew insists that it never happened, she attempts to uncover the truth and finds her own safety at risk. The cast also includes Guy Pearce, Art Malik, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings and Hannah Waddingham.

The eagerly anticipated third season of Netflix‘s The Diplomat drops on Oct. 16. The thriller series was left on a cliffhanger, with President Rayburn (Michael McKean) dying at the end of season two. The action resumes in the aftermath of Rayburn’s death with Vice President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) taking over, much to the fear of U.K. ambassador Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) and her husband Hal (Rufus Sewell). Earlier this month, Netflix confirmed that Janney and her screen husband Bradley Whitford had been upped to series regulars for season four so expect both to be at the center of all the series intrigue this season.

Also on Oct. 16, the second season of NBA docuseries Starting 5 debuts. Launching days before the start of the new NBA season, the next chapter of Starting 5 will once again take us behind the scenes of the world’s most glamourous basketball league, but this time we’ll be following the exploits of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tyrese Haliburton, Kevin Durant, James Harden and Jaylen Brown during the 2024-2025 season. Notably, adding to the drama and intrigue, two of the five stars in the docuseries, SGA and Haliburton, went all the way to the last NBA Finals.

On Oct. 21, Netflix releases the sports documentary Who Killed the Montreal Expos? A real gift to baseball nuts, although not necessarily great viewing for Expos fans, the doc examines the demise of the Canadian team who played their last game in 2004. Hall of Famers and former Expos players Pedro Martinez, Vladimir Guerrero Sr. and Larry Walker are interviewed for the documentary, along with former manager Felipe Alou and a number of journalists, fans and team employees who all offer their perspectives of what went wrong for the team.

The second season of Erin Foster’s hit series Nobody Wants This hits Netflix on Oct. 23. The first season of the show was the talk of the internet and inspired several newspaper columns about the exploits of Adam Brody’s hot rabbi Noah and Kristen Bell’s agnostic Joanne. We rejoin the action with Noah and Joanne as a still-in-love couple, who are going strong despite how the first season ended. Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky, Arian Moayed and Kate Berlant are also season two guest stars. Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, Sherry Cola, D’Arcy Carden and Shiloh Berman round out the cast. New additions include guest stars Leighton Meester and Seth Rogen.

Oct. 24 will see the launch of Netflix’s big film release of the month, Kathryn Bigelow’s hotly anticipated A House of Dynamite. The star-studded thriller debuted in competition at the Venice Film Festival this year, where it received an 11-minute standing ovation from the audience. Written by Noah Oppenheim, the film captures from multiple perspectives the White House response to an unattributed missile launch headed for a major U.S. city in the harrowing 20 minutes until projected impact. The cast includes Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Gabriel Basso, Jared Harris, Tracy Letts, Anthony Ramos, Moses Ingram, Jonah Hauer-King, Greta Lee and Jason Clarke.

Conclave filmmaker Edward Berger’s new film, Ballad of a Small Player, drops on Netflix on Oct. 29. The redemption drama, based on the book by Bangkok-based British author Lawrence Osborne, stars Colin Farrell as a gambling addict hiding from the authorities and his debtors in the casinos of Macau. Ballad of a Small Player debuted at Telluride with strong praise for Farrell’s performance. The film also stars Fala Chen, Deanie Ip, Alex Jennings and Tilda Swinton.

Movies added to Netflix in October include Austin Powers in Goldmember, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Beverly Hills Cop, Beverly Hills Cop II, Beverly Hills Cop III, Blue Crush, The Book Club Murders, Casper, The Christmas Contract, Coach Carter, Coming to America, Daddy Day Care, Death Becomes Her, Dirty Dancing, Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, Dracula, Elysium, Fifty Shades Darker, Fifty Shades Freed, Fifty Shades of Grey, Friends with Benefits, The Goonies, Hacksaw Ridge, The Hurt Locker, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, Law Abiding Citizen, The Lincoln Lawyer, The Mask, Meet Joe Black, Molly’s Game, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Pineapple Express, Point Break, Red Dragon, Scarface, Sinister 2, Sister Act, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, Slender Man, The Strangers, Taxi Driver and Training Day.

Libra Tarot Horoscopes: October 2025

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

By the solar eclipse in Virgo on September 21, you’ll likely feel an inner shift that will help you release outdated patterns and prepare for a new cycle of growth. With Mars entering Scorpio on the 22nd, this is a time to act boldly when it comes to long-term stability. The month is less about external validation from others and more about listening to your inner voice and making intuitive choices that lead you to where you’ve always wanted to go. You are being called to align with your purpose, even if it requires a big commitment or making a high-stakes decision. Trust that you’re protected, Libra!

August 2025

Three of Cups: Mars enters your sign on August 6, activating the desire for connection and joy and encouraging you to be more boldly “you.” The Three of Cups is about attracting aligned friendship, community, and celebration, reminding you that not all growth has to be painful or serious. Sometimes, belly laughing with people you love is the most healing medicine we have.

This is a month for reunions, creative collaborations, and feeling more seen in the spaces you frequent. If things have felt emotionally heavy lately, August can bring levity and love back into your world. Say yes to spontaneous invitations, especially around the time that Mercury stations direct on the 11th. You may find soul-nourishing magic in the most unexpected of places this month.

July 2025

the hermit tarot card

The Hermit: Without your feeling defeated or distraught, this month is pushing you inward in the temporary before catapulting you into being with the right people for the long-term. Take this moment to enjoy your alone time before rushing to fill it with distractions.

The Hermit is your permission slip to step back and reconnect with what matters most to you, especially when no one is watching. Reflect on what you’re craving from your relationships of all kinds…romantic, platonic, and professional. Are you being honest about your own needs and desires? Sometimes being social can be a form of avoidance. Let this be a sacred pause instead. With Mercury entering its retrograde period Leo on the 18th, your sense of the world is going through a total metamorphosis. When you reemerge, it won’t be out of loneliness but from alignment. This quiet chapter is not about isolation; it’s about preparing you to be deeply seen.

June 2025

Six of Cups: June brings memories, nostalgia, and the sweet ache of reconnection, Libra. The Six of Cups asks you to revisit your past—not to dwell, but to reclaim lost parts of yourself. When Mercury enters Cancer on June 8, your intuition sharpens, especially when it comes to family dynamics and emotional memory. This month, look to your inner child for clues: What used to bring you joy before life told you to grow up? Whether it’s rekindling an old hobby, reaching out to a childhood friend, or simply letting yourself feel safe in softness, June offers emotional restoration.

Sagittarius Tarot Horoscopes: October 2025

But don’t mistake activity for alignment. It’s not about being busy for the sake of progress, but about choosing what truly excites you. The second half of July brings clarity around next steps and may even include a surprise opportunity that comes from afar. Stay open. Your future is calling, and it’s much bigger than what you’ve allowed yourself to imagine!

June 2025

Temperance: Balance is your superpower this June, Sagittarius. Temperance asks you to integrate all the moving parts of your life into something meaningful and sustainable. With a full moon in your sign on June 11, clarity dawns. What needs to be released so your spirit can soar? This card suggests that healing and harmony are your priorities now. You’ve been through a lot lately, and this month offers you a chance to restore. But restoration isn’t passive—it takes intention. Are you overworking, overgiving, or overthinking? Take inventory. Temperance reminds you that moderation is not mediocrity, it’s mastery. Look at your routines, your relationships, your reactions. Where can you create more space and less urgency?

June supports your inner alchemy: blending together the old and new, the light and dark, the mundane and the magical. This is a sacred period of time for recalibration. Trust that you can find your rhythm again, and that when you finally do, you’ll start to move with more purpose than ever before!

May 2025

temperance tarot card

Temperance: Implementing balance will be practically medicinal for you this month, Sagittarius. Temperance reminds you to find harmony in the in-between, between effort and ease, giving and receiving, speaking and listening. The gray-space parts of life truly do hold all of the magic.

With the sun entering your opposite sign of Gemini on May 20, relationships may come more into focus. Can you start to meet others halfway without losing your center? This card suggests a time of integration, when your past lessons and present goals begin to align. There’s no need to rush any connections in your life. In fact, the more you trust divine timing, the smoother the ride forward (together) can be. Let May be a month of moderation, healing, and intentionality. Your energy is sacred, and your peace is priceless. So let’s choose to spend your time wisely this May and beyond.

April 2025

The Knight of Pentacles: The Knight of Pentacles invites you to take steady, consistent action this month, Sagittarius. April is a time for practical progress and long-term planning. With Mercury turning direct on the 7th, any confusion around work or finances should clear up, allowing you to focus on the details that will lead to lasting success.
