Nicole Kidman was actually out in public over the weekend. She flew to Dallas for the amfAR gala, and she was on stage to present an award to Taylor Sheridan. She then flew back to Nashville (I guess?) and picked up her teenage daughters Sunday Rose and Faith and they flew to Paris for the Chanel show. Note: it’s more than possible that Sunday was already in Paris for the shows. Sunday is a (nepo baby) model and she already walked the Dior runway last week. So maybe mama Nicole and little sister Faith came to Paris to support her. Nicole’s sister Antonia was also in Paris.

Still, what a moment. And what a message too. Granted, I already believed that Faith and Sunday were on their mom’s side in the divorce, but seeing Nicole with her girls at Chanel really sends a message to Keith Urban. Nicole also debuted some divorce hair: some new bangs. I would hate these bangs on most women, but they sort of work on Nicole? They make her look a bit edgy. I’m also open to the possibility that the bangs are clip-ins or the whole hairstyle is a wig. You never know with Nicole.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail has had a lot of exclusive coverage about what’s happening behind-the-scenes between Nicole and Keith. One source told the Mail that “Keith looks as if he’s out to try to publicly embarrass and hurt Nic. He’s always been the quieter one but now that seems to have changed.” The source cites how Keith seems to be openly carrying on with 25-year-old Maggie Baugh and claims it “says so much about how he’s dealing with their separation and how he feels about Nic. This is a total 180 from the Keith I know. It seems like a switch has gone off in his head to awaken this vitriol he appears to have for her.” That sounded so “Virgo” to me, I had to check everyone’s astrological signs. Keith is a Scorpio, btw. Nicole is a Gemini. Good lord, how did they even last 19 years?? Oh, and the Mail has another piece about how Urban was tired of Nicole’s “bottomless need for sexual attention.” Dear Abby: Help, my hot wife wants to have sex constantly, what do I do???

The One Direction star died aged 31 in October 2024 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the Pussycat Dolls star – who had a hand in the boy band’s formation on TV show The X Factor in 2010 – revealed that she had been in contact with Liam in the hours before the tragedy.

Speaking to The Times newspaper, Nicole said: “I’d known he was in Argentina. It was just chit-chat and pretty light.”

The 47-year-old singer continued: “I just adored Liam. He had such a good heart. I barely knew him when I put One Direction together. I just saw these talented boys and was like: ‘I’m coming out of a girl group – I know the power of a group.'”

Nicole found out about Liam’s death as she was getting ready to go on stage as Norma Desmond in the Broadway revival of Sunset Boulevard and revealed that she dedicated her subsequent performances to the tragic star.

She explained: “The show must go on. From then on, I dedicated a little part of the show to Liam every night. Just a little moment that always made me think of him.”

Nicole felt that the harsh spotlight placed on Liam could have been a contributory factor to his death and has urged the public to show more “compassion” to those in the public eye.

The Don’t Hold Your Breath singer said: “We need more compassion in the world. Our phones are our enemies as much as they help us. I wish we’d cancel cancel culture.”

Scherzinger also worked with Liam on the judging panel of the Netflix series Building the Band before his passing and recalled how he was “in his element” on the programme.

She told The View: “When you watch the show, you’ll see little glimpses of him after he’s talking, or things where you just catch him off guard and it’s when he smiles.

“He smiles with his eyes. It’s like he’s giving you a hug, like he’s embracing you and holding you.

“Liam just had such a beautiful, beautiful heart. And I’m so happy that people get to remember him and see him in his light and in his element, giving back because he lived it.”

Nicole shared pictures of herself in a brown silk dress with her hair styled in a curly bob. The podcast host wrote, “What an honor to share a table with some of the most iconic ‘girlfriends’ of all time.”

She added, “Women whose art has been a mirror and a reminder of what’s possible at every stage of my womanhood.”

Elsewhere on her Instagram Story, Kayla Nicole also shared a clip from an interview featuring Tyra Banks and Eva Marcille from America’s Next Top Model. In the reel, Banks asks the latter, “How do you compare yourself to the other girls out there?”

Marcille then replies, “I don’t compare myself to other girls. I’m Eva. I’m no comparison to anyone else.”

Soon, this caught the attention of the fans, who wondered if the cryptic posts were befitting replies to Taylor Swift’s diss track, Opalite.

In the interviews following the release of the song, the pop sensation revealed that the diss track was about the NFL star. The artist goes on to sing, “You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone / You were in it for real, she was in her phone / And you were just a pose.”

According to Page Six, the “she was in her phone” line in the song seemed to be a jab at Nicole, in connection to Kelce publicly slamming his former partner for being a little too much on the phone when they dated.

On August 26, the Bad Karma crooner took to Instagram to announce her engagement to the NFL star. In the caption, she wrote, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

Days before the split, Baugh had posted a video where Urban swapped out a key lyric from his song The Fighter, which is reportedly inspired by Kidman. “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player,” Urban sang on stage, replacing “When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter.”

Baugh had captioned it “Did he just say that.” Now, she’s reportedly not been in Urban’s first concert since the news of his split with Kidman came out.

  • Maggie’s father reportedly said he was not privy to any relationship between Baugh and Urban. “I don’t know anything about it, other than she’s a guitar player for him,” he said to the Daily Mail, adding “It’s more of a musician thing than a dating thing.
  • Baugh reportedly began her songwriting career at 13. She told the Hamilton County Reporter “I started going to Nashville when I was 13 and started songwriting around the same age. Days continue to go by for Keith Urban.

And some of those days find him preparing for a return to the stage. The country star made his first public appearance since Nicole Kidman filed for divorce Sept. 30, stepping out in Hersey, Pa.

In pictures of the Oct. 2 outing, Keith deboarded a private jet, hours before his concert at Giant Center for his High and Alive World Tour. He kept his travel outfit low key, sporting a gray jacket, black T-shirt and black baseball cap. He was also notably not wearing his wedding ring as he carried a leather duffle bag.

As for Nicole, who shares Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, with Keith, she spent the day after her divorce filing taking in some sister time in Nashville, going on a hike with sister Antonia Kidman.

While Keith returns to the stage after a four-day break from his tour, he previously raised eyebrows at a recent concert by making a noteworthy lyric change. Last month, he updated the lyrics to his song “The Fighter,” which was inspired by his romance with the Big Little Lies actress, when performing on stage.

I was going to marvel at how quickly People Magazine threw together their Nicole Kidman-Keith Urban separation cover story, but this is one of those times when People’s editors might have wanted to hit pause for a day or two. Just hours after People’s cover dropped on Tuesday, Nicole Kidman filed for divorce from Keith.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are getting divorced. The actress has filed for divorce from the country star, PEOPLE confirms, just one day after news broke that the couple had separated after 19 years of marriage. TMZ was first to report the news.

Kidman filed for divorce on Tuesday, Sept. 30 in Nashville, where the couple has lived since 2007, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. She listed their date of separation as the date of filing, and cited irreconcilable differences as reason for the split.

The pair were married in June 2006 after meeting at a gala in Los Angeles the year prior, and share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

Well, it’s interesting. The timing feels significant. My guess is that Nicole initially thought this summer could be a trial separation, but Keith was already done with the marriage when Nicole left for England. Note: TMZ’s report on Nicole’s divorce filing has way more information. Apparently, Nic and Keith have already worked out a parenting plan/custodial agreement for their teenage daughters, and they’ve apparently worked out the child support already too. There’s a prenup as well and it doesn’t look like there will be a nasty fight over money (here’s hoping). TMZ says Nicole and Keith have spent a few months hammering out these details, but “our sources say Nicole made an abrupt decision to file today.”

Meanwhile, I already had a certain theory about what happened and my gut was telling me that Keith has a side-chick. That was the energy, that HE left Nicole, that he decided to move out of their home, that he got another place, that he was completely done with the marriage. Nine times out of ten, when a man is making those moves, he’s got a jumpoff waiting in the wings. Well, surprise surprise:

Keith Urban separated from Nicole Kidman and is already involved with a new woman … at least that’s what Nicole and Keith’s inner circle and the Nashville community believes. Multiple sources connected to Nicole say “all the signs point to the fact Keith is with another woman. Let’s just say, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it.”

One Nicole source adds, “It’s all over Nashville.”

None of the sources can pinpoint the timing. If Keith is indeed with another woman, they could have hooked up after the separation.

Yeah. Not so surprising after all. And I bet it is all over Nashville, most country-music scandals are part of Nashville’s gossip mill. I bet tons of people knew before Nicole, and that’s a horrible feeling. What else? People Mag’s sources said that Nicole felt like the writing was on the wall when Keith got his own place. Sources also told People: “She feels very betrayed. Nicole’s hurt and feels betrayed… It’s devastating to her. She’s shocked.” Man, Keith f–king sucks.

“[Nicole] didn’t want this,” the source said. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.” The same source notes that Kidman’s sister, Antonia, as well as the rest of the Kidman family, had come together to offer their support.

September 26, 2025: During a performance on his High and Alive tour, Urban changes a lyric in his song “The Fighter,” which was originally written as a love song for Nicole. Urban sang the duet, which he recorded with Carrie Underwood on his 2016 record Ripcord, with guitarist Maggie Baugh.

During the performance, Urban swapped the original lyric “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter” for “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player.” Baugh, 25, shared the moment on Instagram with the caption, “Did he just say that👀.”

Speaking to Billboard in 2016, Urban said that the inspiration for the song was “all from a conversation my wife and I had early on in our relationship, that when things get tough, I need to hold her tighter and just try to take care of her,” Urban said at the time. “The song is about wanting to heal somebody, wanting to take care of somebody, wanting to protect somebody. It’s really like a vow in so many ways.”

Of all the long-term celebrity marriages, I never really got a sense that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were in any trouble. Now, I never believed that they were lovey-dovey 24-7, which is how they like to portray themselves. I think they both love to work and Keith has been on the road a lot throughout their marriage, just as Nicole has a jet-setting career as an actress and producer. Still, I thought they figured out how to make those schedules work for them. I guess not, because Keith apparently left Nicole in the early summer, and they are fully separated now.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have separated … TMZ has learned. Multiple sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the couple has been living apart “since the beginning of summer.”

We’re told Nicole has been taking care of their 2 children and, “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone.”

As for why, we’re told it’s one-sided … Nicole did not want the separation and has been trying to save the marriage. One source said, “Keith has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home,” which is also in Nashville.

As for whether the couple will divorce … to be determined. Keith and Nicole married in 2006. Their kids are 14 and 17.

The 58-year-old actress has filed for a divorce shortly after news broke that the celebrity couple – who have daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, together – had separated after 19 years of marriage, People reports.

A source previously insisted to People that Nicole “didn’t want this” and that the Hollywood star – who was married to Tom Cruise between 1990 and 2001 – was still “fighting to save the marriage”.

The insider added at the time: “Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”

Nicole filed a divorce after the celebrity duo spent the summer in different parts of the world, with the actress filming Practical Magic 2 in London, while Keith was on his High and Alive World Tour.

Meanwhile, Nicole previously admitted that she missed her family while filming Expats in Hong Kong.

The acclaimed actress shot the TV mini-series in Asia amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and Nicole subsequently revealed that she struggled to deal with the restrictions and the absence of her family.

Nicole – who has been married to Keith since 2006 – told Extra: “I was missing my kids and my husband.

“We loved Hong Kong, we were able to shoot really in the city, everything in there is authentic.

“I would climb seven flights of stairs to shoot in the little apartment. We would just kind of hustle, it felt like we were doing a small film even though it was such an enormous undertaking and we got to see Hong Kong, which was gorgeous.”

Prior to that, Nicole admitted that her performance was affected by the COVID restrictions in Hong Kong and the absence of her husband and kids.

She told the Guardian newspaper: “I was alone in Hong Kong without my family, which was a terrible mistake. I couldn’t just get on a plane and get to them. And they couldn’t get to me. That affected the performance, to the degree that it also affected my psyche.”
