Mahhi Vij has finally spoken out about the persistent divorce rumours surrounding her and her husband, Jay Bhanushali. The couple, who married in 2011, has been the subject of speculation about their relationship status, especially after reports of a possible separation surfaced online. Although they have been active on social media, they initially chose not to address the rumours directly. However, Mahhi recently broke her silence on the matter.

While Mahhi did not explicitly confirm or deny the divorce speculations, she also did not dismiss them entirely. Both she and Jay Bhanushali have avoided issuing any official statements regarding their marriage amid the circulating reports. Mahhi did, however, respond strongly to a social media post that cited a source claiming they were parting ways. In her Instagram caption, she warned against spreading false narratives, stating, “Don’t post false narratives. I will take legal action against this (sic).”

Earlier, Mahhi Vij addressed the rumors more openly during an interview with Hauterrfly. When asked about her marriage, she questioned the necessity of discussing such private matters publicly, asking, “Even if it is the case, why should I tell you? Are you my uncle? Will you pay my lawyer’s fee?” She expressed frustration over how society tends to overanalyze personal issues, saying, “Why do people make such a big deal out of somebody’s divorce or separation? I see comments like ‘Mahi is decent, Jay is like this,’ or ‘Jay is good, Mahi is like that.’ People just want to blame someone. Do you even know the truth? What do you know?”
Reflecting on societal perceptions of single women, she added, “People look at single mothers and divorcees differently. They assume there will be drama, that it will turn into a big fight, or that they’ll start throwing mud at each other. There’s a lot of pressure from society. Just live and let live.”
Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali, who tied the knot in 2011, are proud parents to their daughter Tara, born in 2019, and foster children Rajveer and Khushi, whom they welcomed into their family in 2017.
