EXCLUSIVE: Rakhi Sawant SLAMS Urvashi Rautela’s ‘I’m A Mountain Girl, All Natural’ Comment

by jummy84 November 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Rakhi Sawant candidly responded to Urvashi Rautela’s claims of being all-natural and not undergoing any surgeries. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, she highlights that many celebrities have undergone procedures like waist slimming by breaking their ribs, a trend she calls “the new style.” Rakhi emphasises that whether one chooses to go for surgery or not is a personal decision, and there’s no shame in it. She defends the industry’s acceptance of such enhancements, stating that everyone has the right to look and feel their best. Scroll down to read what she said.

Rakhi On Actresses Undergoing Surgeries

When asked when Bollywood actresses undergo different surgeries to look better, why do they not accept it, Rakhi Sawant answered, “Bahut saare logon ne apni hatheliyon ki haddiyan tudwa ke kamar patli kar li hai. This is the new style, you know? You don’t know? Yeh log China, Bhutan, Bangkok, America, Canada jaate hain, aur apni kamar ki upar wali do haddiyan todwa ke andar kar lete hain. Yeh style hai aajkal! Log nahi bolte, kyun bolne ka? Unko lagta hai, ‘kyun bolun bhai, meri mast daal-roti chal rahi hai!’”

Rakhi Sawant Slams Urvashi Rautela

During the same interview, she bashed Urvashi’s all-natural remarks. Sawant said, “Par kuch log nahi bolte na, phir Urvashi ki tarah sab bolte hain, ‘main toh born, paidaishi aisi hi hoon!’ Urvashi, humne tumhare purane photo dekhe behen! Please, sabke purane photo dekho! Dekho bhai, ek baat bolun — surgery karo ya na karo, woh aapki marzi hai, aapka right hai. Aapko accha dikhna hai, aapki daal-roti chal rahi hai, surgery se aapko kaam mil raha hai, toh karna chahiye! Usme koi buri baat nahi hai. Aapki body hai, koi thaili mein bhade ka thodi le ja rahe ho! Kisi aur ke shareer pe thodi karwa rahe ho!”

She continued, “Aur is industry mein zarurat bhi padti hai. Agar mujhe kuch karwana hai, toh main karwaungi, meri marzi hai. Kisi ka baap thodi na rok lega bhai! Sabne karwaya hai, 1000% sabne Bollywood mein karwaya hai! Kisi ne pichwada karwaya, kisi ne ‘A’ karwaya, kisi ne ‘B’ karwaya, kisi ne toh poora karwaya hai! Karwana unki personal choice hai aur bhai, unko bhi toh accha dikhna hai na! Bilkul, tabhi kaam milega. Ab mera toh purana dialogue hai, ‘Joh Khuda ne paida karke nahi bheja, woh doctor ne de diya!’ Nakkli laga diya, har cheez nakkli laga di!”

Rakhi Opens Up On Her Surgeries

Speaking of the surgeries she has undergone, the actress said, “Mujhe toh upar se neeche tak sab log ‘plastic’ hi bolte hain — pata nahi kyun! Karan show ke show mein maine kya bol diya tha thoda… tab se sab mujhe plastic hi bolte hain! Bolte raho bhai, mujhe kya? Aap toh real ho mere saamne baithe — main toh real hoon!”

Urvashi Rautela’s All-Natural Claims

Urvashi Rautela asserts that she is “all natural,” attributing her appearance to her parents, good genes, and a healthy lifestyle. She claims she has never undergone cosmetic surgery and maintains her looks through diet and exercise. In various interviews, she describes herself as a “mountain girl” who is “completely natural,” emphasising that her beauty is the result of natural factors. However, her claims have received mixed reactions; while some support her, many online sceptics question her assertion, accusing her of having plastic surgery. Despite the scepticism, Urvashi remains firm in her stance, emphasising her dedication to a healthy lifestyle.

“Great mountain spirit, please accept our offering and guide mother’s soul to the open sky.” Two excellent new animated short films to watch created by students at the prestigious Gobelins animation school based in Paris. Both are viewable below via YouTube. The first is a 7-minute short titled Tears of the Mountain, about two girls going out on a hunt into the snowy wilderness where they encounter an ancient beast that’s connected to the spirits of the mountain. The second is a 5-minute short titled Niccolo, following a talented violinist who’s trapped between hollow applause and true artistic freedom. These were created by students as graduation projects and released online by Gobelins directly. We’ve featured many animated shorts in the past from this school – they’re one of the best in the world. Guillermo del Toro & Netflix also just announced a new partnership with them, creating a “groundbreaking stop-motion studio that will shape the storytellers of tomorrow & propel the art form into the future.” Based on their Paris campus. Enjoy the two new shorts.

Tears of the Mountain Animated Short

Niccolo Animated Short

Thanks to Twitter & YouTube for the tip on these short films debuting online. Both shorts are free to watch.

Intro to Tears of the Mountain: “Jaya sets out to hunt the spirit of the mountain, a sacred beast with valuable feathers. As she approaches the heart of the mountain, she’s interrupted by her younger sister, Amala, devout on protecting the spirit.” This animated short is created & directed by animation filmmakers Luke Ashworth, Yehor Bondarenko, Alp Kurdoglu, Romane Talva, Ange Yajima. With music by Knute Nelson & Manit Kittiwangchai; and sound by Mathieu Tiger. And with the voices of Kalee Dehamer-Yanagida & Violeette Avouac. For more info + behind-the-scenes videos, visit the film’s official IG account.

Intro to Niccolo: “A gifted musician’s pursuit of fame traps him in the audience’s demands—until a broken violin forces him to choose between hollow applause and true artistic freedom.” A very meta concept… This animated short is created & directed by animation filmmakers Clémentine Di Prizio, David Florian, Axelle Granet, Sirui Liu, Hugo Michalet, Njolai Pachomius. With music by Mathieu Vilbert; and with sound by Laurent Jimenez. For more info + behind-the-scenes looks, visit the film’s official IG account.

From Anoushka Shankar to Asha Bhosle, Gorillaz’s The Mountain elevates Indian artists beyond exotic backdrops

Animated alternative rock band Gorillaz, led by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, have announced their ninth studio album The Mountain, releasing on March 20, 2026. This new project is a departure from the virtual band’s wide-ranging earlier catalogue – which usually blends alternative rock with synth-pop, electronica and hip-hop – incorporating Indian themes, Hindustani classical music, as well as collaborations with Indian artists including the likes of Anoushka Shankar and Asha Bhosle.

The Mountain’s artwork showcases a representation of the Hindu deity Nataraja, holding various items including two crosses and a sitar.(instagram/@gorillaz)

The artwork and tracklist

The album cover, artwork, and tracklist were revealed on social media on September 12. The album cover says “Parvat” in Hindi letters and the artwork features the four animated band members with various oriental overtones – Murdoc as a full-blown sanyasi or yogi wearing rudraksh-style beads, Russel sitting with a tuba donning a kurta-pajama set, complete with a pagri, Noodle acting as the bridge between the mystical and the modern, with a face full of Kabuki-inspired makeup, and 2D posing as the American traveler – and a representation of Nataraj in typical Gorillaz art style, holding various items including two crosses, a mobile phone and a sitar. It also features a royal Bengal tiger, a goat and a monkey.

The tracklist revealed epic collaborations in five different languages with artists including Asha Bhosle, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash, Ajay Prasanna, Omar Souleyman, Asha Puthli, Anoushka Shankar, IDLES, Paul Simonon, Jalen Ngonda, and Johnny Marr from the Smiths (interesting, right?). In an interview with Rolling Stone UK, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett discussed their inspiration behind the album, their travels to India, their experience collaborating with Indian artists, and the theme of life, death, and transition, which is central to the project.

From voiceless muse to cultural agency

When Hindustani classical music was first popularised in Western music by the Beatles, back in the 60s, they borrowed musical elements, including instruments like the sitar and tambura, and appropriated the ‘exotic’ soundscapes into British psychedelic rock. Ever since the hippies turned to India for spiritual and religious transcendence, the country has been branded as a kaleidoscopic land of psychedelic visions, trippy colours and drugged ascetics lost in mind-bending meditation. Along with this came the appropriation of Hindustani music – long sitar solos and tambura drones in the backdrop – again branded as exotic background ambience for the Western imagination rather than celebrated as the work of skilled Indian musicians.

Gorillaz’s new album marks a departure from this century’s old Western tradition of idealising the East as the exotic land without a voice – the narrative of representation and the politics of authenticity has always been controlled by the West. The album explores the fictional travels of the four animated bandmates through India, and was recorded in London, Devon, and places in India. In the Rolling Stone interview, both Albarn and Hewlett talk about going through tragic losses – the deaths of their fathers and Hewlett’s mother-in-law – and finding comfort in the attitudes of Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikhism towards death. Belonging to a fundamentally Anglo-Christian background, their response is comparable to the hippie movement’s attraction to the east.

Collaboration with Indian artists

The duo mentioned having their best time working with Indian artists and experiencing the country in ‘glorious technicolour’. One collaboration, however, stood out for Albarn – Anoushka Shankar. He was introduced to sitar virtuoso Pandit Ravi Shankar at an early age, courtesy of his parents’ deep appreciation for Indian classical music and ragas, and having the sitar guru’s daughter on his record marks a full circle moment for him. He told Rolling Stone, “I probably listened to Ravi Shankar before I listened to The Beatles when I was a kid,” and added, “to have Anoushka Shankar on the record is not only a real privilege, but the connection with my dad and his love of Ravi Shankar is great.”

This collaboration is not only a defining moment for Damon Albarn’s experience, but also marks a poetic return to the era when psych rock first wove Hindustani classical into its sonic tapestry – from the Beatles’ transformative journey to Rishikesh, where George Harrison learnt to play the sitar under the guidance of the legendary Pandit Ravi Shankar.

Allowing Indian artists to have a voice and representing them on the global stage restores an agency to Eastern culture that was long overdue. Unlike past Western projects that borrowed Indian sounds as exotic adornments, this album places Indian musicians and instruments at the heart of its sonic identity. From Anoushka Shankar’s sitar to the intricate rhythms of classical percussion, the contributions aren’t background flourishes – they shape the very texture of the music. In doing so, Gorillaz challenge the old orientalist template, transforming India from a passive muse into an active co-creator in a globally resonant soundscape.

Damon Albarn and co. are preparing to release a new album, The Mountain, on March 20th, 2026 (pre-order here). The album announcement comes with lead single, “The Happy Dictator,” featuring Sparks. Listen to it below.

The Mountain will be Gorillaz’s ninth studio effort, and their first on the band’s very own new record label, KONG. The 15-track LP boasts a vast array of guest stars, including Black Thought of The Roots, Anoushka Shankar, IDLES, Johnny Marr, Jalen Ngonda, Asha Puthli, Omar Souleyman, Yasiin Bey, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash, and Paul Simonon of The Clash, among them.

The album will also feature posthumous contributions from the likes of  Bobby Womack, Dave Jolicoeur (aka Trugoy the Dove of De La Soul), Proof, Dennis Hopper, Mark E Smith of The Fall, and Tony Allen.

Related Video

Produced by Gorillaz, James Ford, Samuel Egglenton and Remi Kabaka Jr., plus Bizarrap, The Mountain was recorded around the world, with Damon Albarn and company hitting studios in various locations in India, including Mumbai, New Delhi, Rajasthan and Varanasi, as well as London, Ashgabat, Damascus, Los Angeles, Miami and New York. The international feel is further emphasized with the new songs featuring artists performing in five languages: Arabic, English, Hindi, Spanish and Yoruba.

As always, the album’s distinctive artwork was created by Jamie Hewlett, whose hand-drawn images of band members Murdoc, Noodle, Russel and 2D working on the new music in India will be available both as a book and as a collection of 12×12 prints.

According to a press release, the animated musical icons are ensconced in Mumbai on fake passports after turning their backs on pop stardom, and now “immersed in the rhythms of mystical music-making, as they navigate the mountainous terrain of this thing called life.”

“As space dust we are here forever and that’s a mighty long time,” drummer Russel Hobbs explained in a press statement. “This is a musical meditation infused with light. A journey of the soul, with beats…”

The group will celebrate the new release with an arena tour of the UK and Ireland, which kicks off on March 21st, 2026, in Manchester, England, with dates in Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, Belfast and Dublin; plus a one-off headline show at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday June 20, 2026, with support from Sparks and Trueno. Inspiring Doc ‘Memphis to the Mountain’ Trailer About a Climbing Trip

by Alex Billington
September 5, 2025
Source: YouTube

“Not everyone’s going to be able to make it up.” Hulu has unveiled the official trailer for Memphis to the Mountain, a new three-part documentary series – now streaming on Hulu as of this weekend. An inspiring story about how rock climbing can actually change lives. The project was inspired by & born from Memphis Rox, a nonprofit climbing gym / community center founded by Tom Shadyac and Chris Dean, which has served as a beacon of hope and opportunity in South Memphis (check it out here). Known as one of the most underserved communities in the country, South Memphis is a neighborhood with roots in Black American history and culture—home to Stax Records, the birthplace of Aretha Franklin, and the final pulpit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., where he delivered his iconic “Mountaintop” speech a day before his assassination. Memphis to the Mountain captures a bold, cinematic expedition in which a handful of young climbers from Memphis Rox embark on a life-changing journey to climb a big rock wall on Mt. Kenya in Africa—leaving behind daily adversity to scale new literal and metaphorical heights in the world of elite mountaineering. This is actually a really moving story to tell and confirms how rock climbing is more than just a fun sport.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Zachary Barr’s doc Memphis to the Mountain, from YouTube:

Memphis to the Mountain Poster

Memphis to the Mountain Poster

Memphis to the Mountain follows a determined group of young climbers from one of South Memphis’s most overlooked and hard-edged neighborhoods—where climbing is virtually unknown—as they set out to conquer a 16,000-foot rock tower on Mt. Kenya. Over the course of a year, they must endure grueling preparation, training alongside some of the sport’s most renowned figures, including Alex Honnold and Philip Henderson. Battling thin air, raw fear, and the limits of their own endurance, they come to realize that the hardest climb isn’t the mountain—it’s transforming who you believe you can be. A story of grit, transformation, and the unshakable power of reaching beyond what you thought possible. Memphis to the Mountain is directed by filmmaker Zachary Barr, director of the doc film Black Ice and many Reel Rock films as well. Made by Sender Films & Shady Acres Entertainment. Exec produced by Tom Shadyac, Kelley L. Carter, Jason Aidoo, Peter Mortimer, & Zachary Barr. Hulu will debut the Memphis to the Mountain doc series streaming on Hulu starting September 5th, 2025 – it’s available to watch now. Anyone interested?
