Monroe Opens Up About Her Family Life & Clears Up Confusion

The internet is saying Monroe Cannon is definitely Mariah Carey’s daughter after she hopped on Instagram to seemingly set the record straight about her relationship with Nick’s other children. Y’all already know Nick has eleven other kids, including Monroe’s twin brother, Moroccan. But Monroe made it super clear she only has ONE full biological brother. “Clearing something up guys! I only have ONE brother who is @moroccan.cannon.”  However, she did mention Nick’s other children, saying they’re just her half-siblings. “I do have other half siblings from my dad but they are all many many years younger than me!”

Breakdown Of Nick Cannon’s Family Tree

Okay, so BOOM! Outside of Monroe and Moroccan, whom Nick shares with his ex-wife Mariah Carey, he also has three children with Brittany Bell — two sons, Golden Sagon, Rise Messiah Cannon, and Powerful Queen. Then he has twins with Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and a daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin, with Abby De La Rosa. One son, Legendary Love, with Bre Tiesi, and a daughter, Onyx Ice Cole, with LaNisha Cole. Lastly, two children with Alyssa Scott, a son, Zen, who passed away at five months old in December 2021, per PEOPLE, and a daughter, Halo Marie, who was later born in December 2022.

Social Media Weighs In On Monroe’s Half-Sibling Theory

After Roomies saw Monroe Cannon’s post about her siblings, TSR’s comment section went OFF! Some folks called her shady for referring to her siblings as half. At the same time, others called out Nick for allegedly not putting in enough effort to blend his big family.

Instagram user @kino_marie wrote, “Lol definitely Mariah’s daughter because she don’t know them…”

Instagram user @tynicolle wrote, “She said sorry to them kids 😂”

While Instagram user @theequeenofzamunda wrote, “All I saw was: ‘I have ONE brother. My daddy got a lot of kids tho.’ 🥴🥴😭”

Another Instagram user @shada.renee wrote, “My grandma always said if yall didn’t bake in the same oven, them other siblings ‘half’ 😅”

Instagram user @britaney_smith_ wrote, “She’s definitely her mother’s daughter 😂”

Then Instagram user @binyy_ wrote, “Oop I kinda felt her on this. And not mad that this has become the outcome. Nick has created this environment 🤷🏽‍♀️”

While another Instagram user @muyybuenooo_ wrote, “This just sounds like a kid who is Fed up with the toxic dynamics his father created.”

Instagram user @dpv_yepitsme wrote, “Poor kids!! Nick make it better!!”

Finally, Instagram user @diamond_hippie93 wrote, “Her fathers fault smfh my half siblings are considered my siblings just as much cause I grew up with them.”

“We’ve all been wrong about her…” Universal Pictures has revealed the first official trailer for a movie called Reminders of Him, an adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover. Another romantic drama with heavy emotions – brought to the big screen by an all-female filmmaking team. Set for release in theaters nationwide starting March 2026 early next year. “There was before you and there was during you. For some reason, I never thought there would be an after you.” After returning home from prison for a tragic accident in the past, Kenna attempts to reconnect with her young daughter but faces resistance from everyone except a bar owner with ties to her child. As the two begin to grow closer, Kenna must confront her past mistakes to build a better future – and hopefully not end up in heartbreak again. Starring Maika Monroe as Kenna, Tyriq Withers (from Him) as Ledger, Lauren Graham, Bradley Whitford, Rudy Pankow, Lainey Wilson, Jennifer Robertson, & Zoe Kosovic as Kenna’s daughter Diem. This actually looks pretty good – much better than these cheesy romances usually do. Worth a watch.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Vanessa Caswill’s movie Reminders of Him, direct from YouTube:

“You can’t rewrite the past, but you can start again…” The literary phenomenon from bestselling author Colleen Hoover becomes a transformative film about motherhood, forgiveness and the power of love to overcome even the worst mistake. After a perfect outing with her boyfriend, Kenna (Maika Monroe) makes an unbearable mistake that sends her to prison. Seven years later, Kenna returns to her hometown in Wyoming, hoping to rebuild her life and earn the chance to reunite with her young daughter, Diem, whom she has never known. When Diem’s custodial grandparents adamantly refuse Kenna’s attempts to see her daughter, Kenna discovers unexpected compassion, and then something truer & deeper, with former NFL player & local bar owner Ledger (Tyriq Withers). As their secret romance develops, so do the dangers for both of them – leading Kenna closer toward heartbreak and, ultimately, the hope for a second chance…

Reminders of Him is directed by filmmaker Vanessa Caswill, of the film Love at First Sight previously, plus episodes of the series “Thirteen”, “Little Women”, “Gold Digger”, and many short films. The screenplay is written by Colleen Hoover and Lauren Levine, adapted from Hoover’s novel of the same name published in 2022. Produced by Lauren Levine, Gina Matthews, Colleen Hoover. Universal debuts Caswill’s Reminders of Him movie in theaters nationwide starting March 13th, 2025 early next year. How does it look so far?

‘The Hand That Rocks the Cradle’ Trailer: Maika Monroe in Remake

by jummy84 September 23, 2025
written by jummy84

Over the course of her career, Maika Monroe has emerged as one of our most reliable modern scream queens. Between “The Guest,” “It Follows,” “Watcher,” “Greta,” “Villains,” “Longlegs,” “Tau,” and many more, when you see her name in horror movie credits, you can usually bet that Monroe will be the blood-soaked final girl we’re all cheering for to the bitter end.

So that makes it all the more interesting that, for her next horror feature, a remake of Curtis Hanson’s 1992 horror hit “The Hand That Rocks the Cradle” (which starred Rebecca De Mornay and Annabella Sciorra), Monroe is this time playing the baddie. Per the film‘s official synopsis: “Mary Elizabeth Winstead stars as Caitlin Morales, an upscale suburban mom who brings a new nanny, Polly Murphy (Maika Monroe), into her home, only to discover she is not the person she claims to be.”

'The Bride!'

If you’ve seen Hanson’s film or are at all familiar with its concept, you know that the nanny isn’t our sympathetic heroine here. She’s the one doing the rocking (of all kinds! physically, mentally, and emotionally!) and upending the lives of a seemingly nice and normal suburban family. What a delicious twist for Monroe.

The remake, directed by “Huesera: The Bone Woman” filmmaker Michelle Garza Cervera will arrive on Hulu just in time for Halloween. It also stars Raúl Castillo, Martin Starr, Mileiah Vega, Riki Lindhome, and Shannon Cochran, and is written by Micah Bloomberg based on a screenplay by Amanda Silver. The producers are Michael Schaefer, Mike LaRocca, and Ted Field, and the executive producers are Michael Napoliello, Maria Frisk, and Seth William Meier.

“The Hand That Rocks the Cradle” will start streaming on Hulu on Wednesday, October 22. Check out the film’s first trailer below.

“Whatever the lady wants…” IFC Films has debuted a tantalizing first look teaser trailer for 100 Nights of Hero, a fantasy romance thriller from the filmmaker Julia Jackman as her second feature film (following Bonus Track). This will be premiering at the 2025 Venice Film Festival which begins this week – playing in the Critics Week sidebar section known as “SIC”. IFC has also confirmed a release date for December 2025 – the film plays in select theaters later this year. When her neglectful husband departs after placing a secret wager to test her fidelity, Cherry and her sharp-witted maid must fend off a dangerously seductive visitor: Manfred. The film is adapted from the hit graphic novel of the same name. Here’s a better intro from that book to setup the stakes: “In the tradition of The Arabian Nights, a beautifully illustrated tapestry of folk tales and myths about the secret legacy of female storytellers in an imagined medieval world. In the Empire of Migdal Bavel, Cherry is married to Jerome, a wicked man who makes a diabolical wager with his friend Manfred: if Manfred can seduce Cherry in one hundred nights, he can have his castle – and Cherry.” Oyy! Starring Emma Corrin as Hero, Nicholas Galitzine as Manfred, Maika Monroe as Cherry, Amir El-Masry, Charli XCX (yes for real!), Richard E. Grant, and Felicity Jones. So far, so good – I’m curious.

Intro via SIC: “Set in Darkly End, an alternate world ruled by the despotic Birdman. Cherry is unhappily married to Jerome, who doesn’t want to spend time with her. Considering their ‘duty’ to produce an heir, this is worrying. The only bright spot in Cherry’s day is her maid, Hero. Hero is part of a secret society that collects stories of women who rebelled and met unjust fates, vowing their sacrifices won’t be forgotten… Because death is never far away for women here. So, when Jerome mysteriously goes on a ‘business trip’ and leaves Cherry with his flirtatious friend Manfred, Hero has a bad feeling. As the charming Manfred settles in, Cherry finds herself caught between the only man who has ever listened to her – and the maid she is developing forbidden feelings for. All rebellious women end up dead – can Cherry & Hero escape that fate?”

100 Nights of Hero is written and directed by the British writer / filmmaker Julia Jackman, making her second feature film after directing Bonus Track before, and many short films. Based on Isabel Greenberg’s graphic novel titled “The One Hundred Nights of Hero” published in 2016. Produced by Stephanie Aspin, Helen Simmons, Grant S. Johnson. This is premiering at the 2025 Venice Film Festival in the Critics Week sidebar (aka Settimana Internazionale della Critica – or SIC). IFC Films then debuts Jackman’s 100 Nights of Hero film in select US theaters starting December 5th, 2025 later this year. Intrigued? Looking good?
