Get ready for a major throwback — Hannah Montana first aired nearly 20 years ago, and the beloved Disney Channel series is still making headlines in 2025. Premiering on March 24, 2006, the show became a global phenomenon and launched Miley Cyrus into international stardom as Miley Stewart, the teen living a secret double life as pop star Hannah Montana.

Miley was just 12 years old when she stepped into the role, and nearly two decades later, she and the rest of the cast are fully grown, living wildly different lives from their Disney days. Miley has openly reflected on her journey over the years — including in her emotional 2023 single “Used To Be Young,” where she looked back on her “wild” younger years with honesty and nostalgia.

With the show’s 20th anniversary approaching in 2026, Miley recently addressed reboot rumors. She told Billboard that she doesn’t see a traditional revival happening — “this is the only Hannah,” she said — but teased that she does want to do something special to honor the milestone.

Now 33 and recently engaged to musician Maxx Morando, Miley continues to be a major force in entertainment with new music and visual projects. Meanwhile, Hannah Montana remains as popular as ever, with all episodes currently streaming on Disney+ for anyone ready to relive the magic. Find out what the cast is up to these days.

Miley Cyrus became a global star and teen idol when she began playing Hannah Montana in the Disney Channel series in 2006. The show ran for 4 seasons and ended in 2011. Miley also portrayed the character in the 2009 film, Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Since leaving Disney, Miley has built a hugely successful music career with albums including Bangerz, Plastic Hearts, and Endless Summer Vacation, as well as chart-topping singles like “The Climb,” “Party in the U.S.A.,” “Wrecking Ball,” and “Flowers.” In August 2023, she released the reflective single “Used to Be Young,” where she looked back on her “wild” younger years. She has continued releasing new material, including her 2025 visual album Something Beautiful, which earned strong critical attention.

Miley has also continued acting, starring in 2010’s The Last Song — where she met Liam Hemsworth — and returning to the screen for an episode of Black Mirror in 2019. She also served as a coach on The Voice for two seasons.

Her personal life has been equally high-profile. Miley and Liam dated on and off starting in 2009, got engaged in 2012, split in 2013, reunited in 2016, and married in 2018 before divorcing in 2020. Over the years, she has also been linked to Patrick Schwarzenegger, Stella Maxwell, and Cody Simpson, and publicly came out as pansexual in 2015.

Today, Miley is in a long-term relationship with musician Maxx Morando, whom she began dating in 2021. In late 2025, the couple became engaged.

Billy Ray Cyrus

Billy Ray Cyrus — who is Miley Cyrus’ real-life father — played her on-screen dad, Robby Ray Stewart, on Hannah Montana. He became one of the show’s core figures throughout its 2006–2011 run. During his time on the show, he even competed on Dancing With the Stars season 4, finishing in 5th place. Following the end of Hannah Montana, Billy Ray continued releasing music — dropping five studio albums — and later starred in the CMT sitcom Still the King from 2016 to 2017.

His career saw a major renaissance in 2019 when he appeared on Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” remix, which went on to break records with a 14× platinum certification in 2021 — making it one of the most awarded singles in RIAA history.

In 2020, Billy Ray told HollywoodLife there had been talks of a Hannah Montana prequel centered around Robby Ray, joking that he’d jump at the chance to bring back his iconic mullet. Although the prequel never moved forward, interest in the show has surged again as its 20th anniversary approaches.

On the personal side, Billy Ray married Australian singer Firerose in 2023, but the relationship was short-lived. The pair filed for divorce in 2024, and the split was finalized in 2025 after months of public tension and legal back-and-forth.

Emily Osment

Emily Osment starred as Lilly Truscott — best friend to Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana — on the hit Disney Channel series and appeared in Hannah Montana: The Movie. After the show ended, she built a diverse acting career across film and television.

Osment’s early post-Disney work included family and teen films like The Haunting Hour: Don’t Think About It, Dadnapped, Cyberbully, and Christmas Wonderland. She gained broader visibility with her lead role on the Freeform sitcom Young & Hungry (2014–2018), and later starred in the Fox drama Almost Family, which ran for one season.

On television, Emily has had notable recurring roles on acclaimed series like The Kominsky Method and Mom, displaying her range across comedy and drama. She also voiced a lead character on the Netflix animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park.

Mitchel Musso

Mitchel Musso played Oliver Oken, one of Miley Stewart’s closest friends on Hannah Montana. Alongside his live-action role, he voiced Jeremy Johnson on Phineas and Ferb, a character he later reprised in the 2020 film Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe. Musso also starred on the Disney XD series Pair of Kings and hosted PrankStars on Disney Channel. In music, he released his self-titled debut album in 2009, which produced the fan-favorite single “The In Crowd.”

After his Disney years, Musso stepped back from the spotlight, though he continued occasional voice work and low-profile acting projects. His personal life made headlines in 2011 when he was charged with two counts of drunken driving, later pleading no contest to one count and receiving probation, a fine, and mandatory alcohol education courses, TMZ reported. At the time, he publicly took accountability, saying he wanted to move forward and learn from the experience.

“In becoming an adult, I have learned first hand that stepping up and taking responsibility is the best way to move forward,” he told E! Online at the time. “I am especially thankful to my family and fans for their unwavering support and encouragement. I am glad to now put this in the past.”

Musso returned to headlines in August 2023 after being arrested in Texas on charges including public intoxication and theft (for allegedly taking a bag of chips), according to police reports. The charges were later dismissed, with the court citing insufficient evidence and Musso’s cooperation; he said the incident stemmed from a misunderstanding and that he was grateful to have it resolved. The case became a viral moment online, prompting Musso to issue statements thanking fans for support and emphasizing that he has been focusing on sobriety.

Jason Earles

Jason Earles

Jason Earles starred as the wacky and lovable Jackson Stewart, Miley Stewart’s older brother, on Hannah Montana, earning praise for his physical comedy and memorable one-liners. After the series wrapped in 2011, he went on to star as Rudy on the Disney XD martial arts sitcom Kickin’ It, which ran from 2011 to 2015 and became one of the network’s most popular shows.

Since then, Earles has continued acting with guest appearances on various TV projects, including a 2020 episode of Just Roll With It. He’s also appeared in shows like WTH: Welcome to Howler, Mood Swings, and Hotel Du Loone.

In his personal life, Jason was married to Jennifer Earles from 2002 until their divorce in 2013. He later married Katie Drysen in 2017, and the pair continue to support each other’s creative endeavors. Jason also dedicates time to mentoring young actors and working with theater programs, reflecting his long-standing passion for performance and comedy.

Moisés Arias

Moisés Arias played the fan-favorite character Rico on Hannah Montana. After a recurring role in the first season, Moises became a series regular. Following Hannah Montana, Arias built an impressive career in film. He earned critical praise for his role in the 2013 coming-of-age film The Kings of Summer, and has appeared in major projects including Despicable Me 2, Ender’s Game, Pitch Perfect 3, and Five Feet Apart. His work continued into the 2020s with standout roles in The King of Staten Island (2020), as well as appearances in Samaritan and American Murderer.

Miley Cyrus Rises on New Song “Dream As One” From Avatar: Fire and Ash Soundtrack

by jummy84 November 14, 2025
written by jummy84

After all that Miley Cyrus has been through, she is all too familiar with the feeling of defying the odds and rising from the ashes. The pop star’s anthemic new song “Dream As One,” from the Avatar: Fire and Ash Soundtrack, draws an added layer of meaning from her own experiences with beating addiction and losing her home in a wildfire. Stream it below.

Cyrus previously revealed on Instagram that “Dream As One” was inspired by her Malibu home being destroyed in the 2018 Woolsey Fire. “Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me,” she said. “Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine. The film’s themes of unity, healing, and love resonate deeply within my soul, and to be even a small star in the universe the Avatar family has created is truly a dream come true.”

“Even through the flames. Even through the ashes in the sky. When we dream, we dream as one,” Cyrus wrote in a new post, quoting the track’s chorus. “Writing this song with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt came straight from the heart. Every lyric remembers where we’ve been, reflects where we are, and holds hope for what’s ahead for all of us. It was an honor to create something so personal for a film that connects so deeply with people around the world.”

The stripped-back production, built atop piano and strings, helps Cyrus tug at the heartstrings from the beginning, as she sings, “Our love will never fade away/ We’re diamonds in the dark/ I put my head against your chest/ And listen to your heart.”

“Dream As One” was co-written by Cyrus with hitmakers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, as well as the upcoming sci-fi film sequel’s soundtrack composer, Simon Franglen. It’s just her latest soundtrack anthem; she contributed “Beautiful That Way” to Pamela Anderson’s The Last Showgirl last year.

More recently, in September, Cyrus released an expanded edition of her May 2025 album, Something Beautiful, featuring two new songs: “Lockdown” with David Byrne and “Secrets” featuring Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood. Her accompanying Something Beautiful film was also one of the biggest 2026 Grammy nomination snubs.

Miley Cyrus Takes the Plunge Into Power Suiting

by jummy84 October 26, 2025

It’s no wonder Cyrus finds kinship in the vision of Mugler’s creative director Miguel Castro Freitas: the spring 2026 show saw Freitas articulate his own take on the house’s precise, exacting lexicon. There were those iconic hourglass silhouettes and va-va-voom corsets, but also pin sharp pants and couture-level draping, and some quite fabulous feather and jewel moments. Cyrus opted for the more simple—but still powerfully chic—look 15 from the collection.

The Miley Cyrus compendium for personal style is maximalist but refined, with ’70s inflected aesthetics and modern, sexy twists by way of strong-shouldered Saint Laurent jackets and suiting, Alaïa gowns, and lots of leather. There is an enduring punk rock persona too, with some more subversive, feminine details. She spans that darker, nipped in femme fatale that Mugler does so well, while also looking to more avant-garde looks of Alexander McQueen. Cyrus can’t resist exploring the Mugler archives too, especially for onstage outfits.

Power suiting, of course, continues to be a defining fall trend, enjoyed by everyone from Demi Moore in Saint Laurent and tailored Thom Browne to Julia Roberts in Versace and Victoria Beckham in her own designs. Not brave enough for the power suit plunge a la Miley? There’s plenty of other options to incorporate into your fall wardrobe.

‘Dream’ On: Miley Records New Song For Third ‘Avatar’ Film

by jummy84 October 23, 2025
written by jummy84

Miley Cyrus has been tapped to record a new song, “Dream As One,” for the upcoming third installment in director/writer James Cameron’s Avatar series, Fire and Ash, which will arrive in theaters on Dec. 19. The track will be released Nov. 14 through Columbia/Sony.

Cyrus contributed to the song’s music and lyrics in tandem with Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson and the Grammy-winning Simon Franglen, who also composed the film score. “Dream As One” will be heard during Fire and Ash‘s end credits and will be featured on its original soundtrack, due Dec. 12.

“Honored to support Avatar: Fire and Ash with an original song I’ve written with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt,” Cyrus wrote in an Instagram post that teases a portion of the song. “Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me. Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine. The film’s themes of unity, healing and love resonate deeply within my soul, and to be even a small star in the universe the Avatar family has created is truly a dream come true.”

Fire and Ash stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet and Edie Falco. It’s the follow-up to 2022’s The Way of Water, which was itself the sequel to the 2009 original. Two additional films are expected in 2029 and 2031.

As for Cyrus, she has kept a low profile following the summer release of her ninth album, Something Beautiful, which was accompanied by a musical film of the same name that’s available on Disney+ and Hulu.

Miley Cyrus Found a Fresh Way to Wear a Dated Boot Trend

Miley Cyrus Found a Fresh Way to Wear a Dated Boot Trend

by jummy84 October 22, 2025
written by jummy84

The easiest way to make a “dated” trend look current is to wear it with classic pieces or more current trends. Miley Cyrus, for one, knows this. She was just spotted wearing the ankle boot trend no one could get enough of circa 2021: lug-sole boots. There’s been a fair amount of talk lately that lug-sole boots are “out,” but I tend to disagree. The rugged, chunky boot style is somewhat classic, in my opinion. But if you want to know how to make it look the most 2025, look no further than how Cyrus just styled her black leather pair.

Cyrus’s casual-yet-elevated outfit consisted of an oversize tweed jacket with a matching T-shirt, straight-leg blue jeans, and a pendant necklace (the jewelry trend that was all over the S/S 26 runways). She looked classic, but the boxy cut of the jacket and chunky boots gave her outfit a hint of edge. My parting advice? Don’t toss your lug-sole boots yet—simply style them like this (or similarly). Keep scrolling to shop the pieces you need and a few of my favorite lug-sole boot options.
