Is Lenox in Danger on ‘Chicago Med’? Jack Falahee’s Return Ends in Major Cliffhanger

by jummy84 November 13, 2025
written by jummy84

What To Know

  • Jack Falahee returns in the Chicago Med fall finale, and Lenox risks her life to check on Faye.
  • Dr. Charles is struggling, and he clashes with Dr. Theo Rabari (Manish Dayal) over a patient.
  • The episode hints at a possible new romance for Archer with Kingston.

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Chicago Med Season 11 Episode 7 “Double Down.”]

Uh-oh, we had a feeling that Jack Falahee‘s character, Devin, who abuses his wife Faye (Olivia Nikkanen), would end up meaning trouble for Lenox (Sarah Ramos), and in this case? We hate being right.

Falahee’s not the only one who returns from Episode 4 for the Chicago Med fall finale; Manish Dayal is back as Dr. Theo Rabari as well (our Resident-loving hearts are delighted), as is Nikkanen. The last episode until 2026 also possibly teases a new romance at the hospital. Read on for everything that happened in the fall finale.

Lenox Puts Her Life at Risk — Twice!

Shortly after Lenox gives herself a bit of a shock helping a patient with a defibrillator, she receives word of a patient who won’t wake up — and it’s Devin, found drunk at a pharmacy. He also has defensive wounds on his hands, which he says are from a hockey game, but Lenox and Ripley (Luke Mitchell) worry that Faye may have tried to fight back and be somewhere much worse off than him. Devin does claim she’s out of town visiting family, but when Lenox tries calling her phone, the doctors see that her husband has it.

With the address outside CPD’s jurisdiction, Lenox takes it upon herself to go check on Faye and leaves Ripley to keep Devin at the hospital. When no one answers the door, Lenox ends up breaking in and ultimately finds Faye at the bottom of the basement stairs, badly beaten and with what looks like a broken leg. When Lenox goes upstairs to call for help, with no service in the basement, Devin’s there, and he knocks her out with his gun.

What’s Going on With Charles?

Charles (Oliver Platt) has been struggling a bit lately, including tossing and turning at night. As he puts it, he knows he looks “like crap.”

He and Theo team up on a gymnast who is part of Theo’s experimental group in his drug trial. Charles suspects that Theo is trying to find any cause besides the drug for her recent symptoms, to the point that he thinks he may have dosed her when he sees her flushing her IV, and tests reveal a toxic level of vitamin A. But it turns out to be due to ingredients in what she’s been using to apply glitter for competitions.

Charles then calls Theo to his office to apologize. He admits that something is going on with him and doesn’t know what it is, but he’s looking into it. It’s affecting his judgment, and he reached an unfair conclusion. Theo assures him he’d never sacrifice a patient’s health. It sounds like the two will be teaming up again in the future, which we love.

A New Romance for Archer?

As Archer (Steven Weber) and Asher (Jessy Schram) continue to prepare for their baby, he tells his son, Sean (Luigi Sottile), the news. He assures Sean that he won’t let having this child get in the way of their relationship, and Sean reminds him that he’s 39 and doesn’t feel threatened or replaced. He also awkwardly says he’s glad that this is happening before he has kids because imagine having an aunt or uncle younger than you.

Meanwhile, Archer works alongside Kingston (Merrin Dungey), and during surgery, they start talking about their personal lives — and the fact that both are single. It certainly feels like there’s potential there for something, especially since that would complicate things with the Asher of it.

No spy drama better blends suspense with wry and even slapstick humor than this adaptation of Mick Herron’s terrific novels about the disgraced spies who occupy Slough House. As Season 5 passes the midway point, the “slow horses” are in full gallop as they pair off to try to avert what they will believe will be an assassination attempt at one or both competing rallies for London’s mayoral race. Elsewhere, their decrepit yet cunning boss Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) continues to stay one step ahead of the MI5 officers seeking the femme fatale who snared Slough House techie Roddy Ho (Christopher Chung) in her web.

Nick Gehlfuss as Dr. Will Halstead, Torrey DeVitto as Dr. Natalie Manning in 'Chicago Med' Season 11 Episode 3

George Burns Jr / NBC

Chicago Med

Seems like old times when original cast member Torrey DeVitto returns to Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, though not under the best of circumstances — because Dr. Natalie Manning is rushing to be with her son Owen (Frankie DeMaio), who was shot while visiting Chicago from Seattle with his stepdad Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss). Which means there’s little time for “Manstead” shippers to rejoice over news that she’s carrying their child when her firstborn’s life is in jeopardy. In other cases, Ripley (Luke Mitchell) teams with Charles (Oliver Platt) to treat a patient who can’t remember who he is.

Murdaugh Death in the Family

Hulu

Murdaugh: Death in the Family

The stuff of many a Dateline and true-crime podcast, the tragic saga of the scandalous Murdaugh family of South Carolina now gets the deluxe docudrama treatment, with the very busy Jason Clarke (currently rounding up bad guys on Apple TV’s The Last Frontier) starring as wealthy but embattled lawyer Alex Murdaugh, with Oscar and Emmy winner Patricia Arquette as his unlucky wife, Maggie. The sordid eight-part story, previously depicted in a 2023 Lifetime drama, begins with the double murder of Maggie and son Paul (Johnny Berchtold) in 2021, then reaches back three years to an earlier scandal when Paul was implicated in a fatal boat crash. Brittany Snow costars as reporter Mandy Matney (who’s also an executive producer), whose work on the case is the basis for this eight-part treatment. Launches with three episodes.

Netflix

Six Kings Slam

Six of the world’s most prominent men’s tennis stars gather at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the second annual exhibition match, which could result in a rematch of last year’s contest that pitted the two top-ranked players, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, in a thrilling final. Sinner won that contest, while Alcaraz is hoping for a repeat of his recent U.S. Open victory against Sinner. In the first round, No. 3-ranked Alexander Zverev plays No. 4 Taylor Fritz, then Sinner takes on No. 24-ranked Stefanos Tsitsipas (a late substitution for an injured Jack Draper). The winners will play against Alcaraz and No. 3-ranked Novak Djokovic on Thursday, with a grand final scheduled for Saturday.

Nicole Beharie in 'The Morning Show' Season 4

Apple TV+

The Morning Show

In a powerful episode for the luminous Nicole Beharie, her character of decorated Olympic track star-turned-morning show host Chris Turner is dragged into a painful media spotlight when online rumors challenge her sports legacy. Her greatest ally appears to be Mia (Karen Pittman), the disgruntled TMS producer who returns to UBN on a confrontational mission. Also heading for a reckoning: Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) and former network CEO Cory (Billy Crudup), whose budding romance cloaks her investigation into a dark chapter of the network’s past.

Torrey DeVitto Returns To ‘Chicago Med’ For Season 11

by jummy84 October 9, 2025
written by jummy84

SPOILER ALERT: The following reveals major plot points from NBC‘s Chicago Med‘s 200th episode titled “A Game of Inches.”

EXCLUSIVE: Surprise! Torrey DeVitto returned to NBC’s Chicago Med for its special 200th episode, which aired tonight.

She joined Nick Gehlfuss, who plays her character Dr. Natalie Manning’s true love, Dr. Will Halstead. We confirmed in late August that he would reprise his role this season. Both are set to appear in multiple new episodes.

Since we last saw them in the Season 8 finale for Gehlfuss’s series exit, off-camera, Natalie and Will have been working on making their new family dynamic work. Becoming Owen’s stepfather has been challenging, which is to be expected. What’s essential is that Halstead is working on strengthening their bond, which he was trying to do with this special boys’ trip to Chicago without Natalie to attend a Bears game.

“It’s like going back home for a visit,” DeVitto shared with Deadline earlier this week. “It was really lovely to be there with everyone. It was as if no time had passed and I wasn’t expecting that.”

Speaking of expecting, there’s a Manstead baby on the way!!! However, fans will be unable to celebrate in a big way with friends old and new at Gaffney after her son is shot there. Stress will be high, and that’s not a good combo for someone pregnant.”

“It puts Natalie back in the thick of it on Chicago Med. When they called me and told me the storyline breakdown, I was like, ‘I would expect no less.’ Natalie always had some trauma or emotion, or something happening. Of course, I’m not going to come back to sit around eating candy or something. I’ll be back in the thick of it and bawling my eyes out,” she said with a laugh.

George Burns Jr/NBC

Gehlfuss shared with Deadline that he is equally overjoyed about bringing Manstead back, especially to share the fantastic baby news with longtime fans who have shipped them since day one.

“Knowing Torrey would join me for this storyline made the return all the more exciting and special. It really couldn’t have happened any other way, and it was wonderful to celebrate the 200th episode together. It was as if we hadn’t stopped working with one another; we fell right back into our rhythm,” Gehlfuss said.

He continued, “The most palpable part was that our characters are exploring such emotional material around parenthood, and we both are lucky enough to be navigating that in our personal lives. I got to meet her daughter for the first time on set! Just incredible. All of this played into our scenes together. The fans are going to be so surprised, and I hope satisfied.”

DeVitto and her husband, Jared LaPine, welcomed a daughter in November. Since becoming a first-time mom, DeVitto has taken a small break from acting to focus on being with her baby. This Chicago Med gig is her first role in nearly a year.

George Burns Jr/NBC

Showrunner Allen MacDonald chimed in on his decision to have Natalie and Will return to continue their storylines in such a unique way.

“If you bring back Dr. Will Halstead, the audience naturally hopes to see Dr. Natalie Manning, too… which makes total sense since their love story is so intricately woven into Chicago Med history,” he said.

“It was always my intention to bring back both characters, but I wanted to play with that expectation in the 200th episode — make the audience believe that only Nick was returning, then surprise them with Natalie’s appearance in the final scene when Goodwin tells her by phone that Owen’s been shot,” he added.

Following the events of Season 11’s second episode, MacDonald tees up where the story will go from here.

“Looking forward to Episode 3, Natalie will join Will in Chicago for an emotionally harrowing episode as Owen’s life hangs in the balance. Natalie will admit to feeling cursed… her husband Jeff died when she was pregnant with Owen, and now she’s pregnant again, and she might lose her firstborn. It just made sense to the writing staff to build a story around Owen for the 200th episode — and 201st — since Natalie was pregnant with him in the pilot and gave birth to him during Season 1. It all felt of a piece to us,” MacDonald said.

He continued, “It was so amazing to see Torrey DeVitto and Nick Gehlfuss reunited on set. But for Will and Natalie, these episodes show how their relationship has developed and deepened, while also propelling them forward into the future.”

Could that future perhaps include a wedding? The two are not yet married, and while they don’t have to take that step necessarily, Chicago Med sure does know how to throw fun weddings. There’s also the possibility that the stress from Owen being shot, the pregnancy could end up in the danger zone, or the baby could come early. Hopefully, Natalie will have Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram), Gaffney ED’s attending physician in obstetrics and gynecology, available to help.

In closing, DeVitto has some words to share with Chicago Med’s devoted fans.

“I hear from fans when I’m out in public or through comments on Instagram about how much they miss Manstead and how they’re still rooting for them. I really hope that the OG fans really love Nick and my storyline that we’ve come together to do for them. This really feels like we’re doing it all for them,” she shared.

“One of the most disappointing things about leaving the show is that it didn’t feel like Will and Natalie got what they deserved. Even when I did come back for Nick’s exit, it still didn’t feel like they got what they deserved, considering how long they’ve been together. Now I feel like people will be satiated. I’m really excited for them to see it, and I hope they love it. If the fans weren’t so invested in Manstead, we wouldn’t be coming back,” she concluded.

New episodes of Chicago Med drop Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on NBC. All OneChicago series are produced by Universal Television and Wolf Entertainment.

‘Chicago Med’ Casts Gbenga Akinnagbe as Sharon’s Son David in Season 11

by jummy84 October 3, 2025
written by jummy84

We’re finally going to meet Sharon Goodwin’s (S. Epatha Merkerson) oldest son David on Chicago Med!

TV Insider has learned that Gbenga Akinnagbe has been cast in the recurring role in Season 11. The Wire star will first appear in Episode 6. New episodes air Wednesdays at 8/7c on NBC (and stream the next day on Peacock).

“I’ve been a fan of his for a very long time,” showrunner Allen MacDonald tells TV Insider. “He’s just a wonderful actor.”

He also shares that we’ll see David’s father, Bert (Gregory Alan Williams), again. Sharon’s ex-husband has Alzheimer’s, and he was the person she went to see at the end of the Season 10 finale after a tough season for her that culminated in the end of her relationship with Dennis Washington (John Earl Jelks) as she was forced to make cuts at the hospital.

“I think Goodwin just showed an incredible amount of strength in character development last season. And S. Epatha Merkerson, there’s nothing you can’t give her that she’s not going to knock out of the park. And she just had me in tears so many times last season,” MacDonald shares. “What she says in the finale is that she finds forgiveness hard, and I think it was very telling that the person she went to talk to was her ex-husband Bert, who was in end stage Alzheimer’s basically. And even though he didn’t understand her, that is kind of her safe place, her home because I don’t think there was a person she was ever emotionally connected to than Bert. And they had three children together and raised three children together.”

Looking ahead, Chicago Med will be bringing back more of her family in addition to Bert and introducing David early on in Season 11. “We will see her son, Michael [Hampton Fluker]. We will see Tara [Nicolette Robinson], who we saw in Episode 9 last year while Goodwin was in surgery from being stabbed by Cassidy,” MacDonald says.

What are you hoping to see with Sharon this season? Let us know in the comments section below.
