Dave Matthews’ Dave & Tim Riviera Maya 2026 Lineup Breakdown

Come January, a beach’s worth of fans of Dave Matthews and his longtime collaborator/guitar virtuoso Tim Reynolds will be dancing on Mexico’s Caribbean shores  — eating, drinking, and being merry. Why? Well, we’re glad you asked: Dave & Tim Riviera Maya, the duo’s annual destination festival.

Going down from January 21st through January 24th at the beautiful Moon Palace Cancún resort, Dave & Tim Riviera Maya 2026 will mark the ninth edition of the sandy event. More than a simple music festival, the multi-night jubilee offers an all-inclusive experience complete with luxury accommodations, food and drink, access to world-class resort amenities, off-site excursions, and more. It’s a musical vacation set to Matthews’s life-affirming tunes.

While the setting offers heaps of eye-catching opportunities and adventures, it’s all brought together by the music. Dave and Tim will perform three headlining sets, each acoustic, intimate, and under the stars. They have also seen fit to bring a host of other great artists to round out the fest, including Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Trampled by Turtles, Joy Oladokun, and Say She She.

Die-hard Dave Matthews Band fan, but unfamiliar with one or more of these additional acts? Fear not — we’ve got your back. Here’s a complete breakdown of all of the artists performing at Dave & Tim Riviera Maya 2026, including what to expect from their respective sets, which songs to start out with, and their overall vibes.

Check out all of our recommendations below. You can also enter to win a festival package for two (2) here, or ensure your trip by exploring packages here.

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats

Vibes: Folky, soulful in a Southern way, gruff but with swagger

Pull Track for DMB Heads: “Still Out There Running,” which features carefree guitar lines, sweet as honey melodies, a soft but shuffling rhythm, and a sprinkle of woodwinds — all things DMB fans should be well familiar with.

What to Expect: Nathaniel Rateliff and his band The Night Sweats might have a little more Southern twang to them, as well as a little more swaggering soul baked into their full-band folk, but their core sound should be more than appealing to a majority of Dave Matthews fans. Rateliff’s songwriting often derives from a similarly tender place, and while he frequently takes his compositions in different directions, his sonic interests and timeless sensibilities ring similar to Matthews’. Expect a soulful performance that features both moments of quiet, folky introspection and dance-worthy, country-tinged jams.

Trampled by Turtles

Vibes: Bluegrass-ish, awesome mandolin playing, twangy vocals, crazy musical chops

Pull Track for DMB Heads: Even though it is kind of cheating to pick a cover, we’re going with Trampled by Turtles’ wonderful rendition of the Radiohead classic “Fake Plastic Trees.” Dave Matthews fans, especially those who like to catch the band in person or who have explored their extensive catalog of live recordings, know that nailing a cover is a thing of beauty, and TbT’s stripped-down, string-backed take is well worth a listen. Plus, call us crazy, but the soft wails of falsetto almost, almost sound Dave-esque.

What to Expect: Trampled by Turtles’ set is bound to paradoxically be both one of the more unique sets of the festival and one that makes complete and utter sense. Their bluegrass sensibilities and lineup of musicians make them stand out among the rest of the bill, but their approach to the style is heartfelt, fun, and squarely of the 21st century. So, get ready for flurries of mandolin solos, banjo breakdowns, and fiddle frenzies. For anyone who will be missing the rest of Matthews’ band during his acoustic performances, Trampled by Turtles’ set is not one to miss.

Maya Hawke Reveals Uma Thurman’s Tarantino Advice: “Keep Your Shoes On”

by jummy84 November 6, 2025

It seems like Quentin Tarantino isn’t beating the foot fetish allegations anytime soon.

During a recent episode of Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, Maya Hawke was asked whether her mom, Uma Thurman, shared “any advice about working with Quentin” going into her role in 2019’s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.

The Stranger Things star had a quick answer, simply responding, “Keep your shoes on,” causing them to laugh in unison.

“Keep ’em on, baby. Keep those shoes on,” Poehler joked in response. “Perfect advice. Perfect.”

As one of Tarantino’s most frequent collaborators, Thurman has a fair share of experience with the filmmaker’s predilection for foot scenes. In 1994’s Pulp Fiction, there are multiple close-ups of her character Mia Wallace’s bare feet.

More infamously, there’s a scene in 2003’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1 that zooms in on both of Thurman’s feet as she wiggles her toes to regain feeling in her body after coming out of a coma. Revisit it below.

More recently, Margot Robbie’s soles were featured in a Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood scene for which Tarantino reportedly instructed her not to wash her feet. Margaret Qualley and Dakota Fanning’s bare feet were also seen in the film.

Another frequent Tarantino collaborator, Brad Pitt, actually called him out on it while accepting a SAG Award for his supporting role as Cliff Booth in Once Upon a Time, saying, “I want to thank my co-stars, [Leonardo DiCaprio], Margot Robbie, Margot Robbie’s feet, Margaret Qualley’s feet, Dakota Fanning’s feet. Seriously, Quentin has separated more women from their shoes than the TSA.”

For his part, Tarantino has defended his camera’s obsession with women’s feet. “There’s a lot of feet in a lot of good directors’ movies. That’s just good direction,” he told GQ in 2021. “Before me, the person foot fetishism was defined by was Luis Buñuel, another film director. And Hitchcock was accused of it and Sofia Coppola has been accused of it.”

Maya Bagel Express Opens Second Location in Louisville to Rave Reviews – Hollywood Life

Maya Bagel Express is expanding with the opening of a second location in Louisville, Kentucky, building on its success as one of the city’s most beloved breakfast and brunch establishments. The scratch-made menu items and attention to detail endear the breakfast spot to local foodies, and this second establishment underscores its popularity.

The second store is a tangible glimpse of success for the local restaurant, built upon core family principles that go into each menu item. This retro style of running a neighborhood restaurant has earned the shop a loyal customer base, and the new location aims to expand this base while retaining the core tenets that made the original so unique.

Rapid Growth and Loyal Following

Since its launch in late 2022, Maya Bagel Express has earned a solid reputation with a 4.9 rating and cultivated a loyal customer base. Its first location on Poplar Level Road has become a local staple for breakfast and lunch patrons, so much so that it led to expansion.

The expansion reflects the demand from the loyal Louisville community for additional access to the restaurant’s fresh, made-from-scratch offerings. Maya’s recipe for success involves fresh ingredients, passion, and a dedicated commitment to the local community.

Maya’s Uncompromising Quality Equals Uncompromising Support

Maya Bagel Express is known for its consistent quality, making all of its menu items in-house daily from scratch. The brand does not believe in shortcuts or frozen dough, and this philosophy follows to the new location. The menu features classic and creative bagel flavors, including jalapeno cheddar and French toast, and can be served with homemade cream cheeses. Flavors include scallion, cinnamon walnut, and veggie.

Maya is more than just bagels, however. The restaurant also serves Nova Lox, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch options like turkey club sandwiches and pastrami.

Maya’s Vision and Industry Disruption

Maya’s was founded by Murad Islamov when he was just 19. His primary focus was to bring authentic, high-quality bagels to Kentucky, a state that lacks the New York-style options, and by all counts, he has succeeded. Islamov was born into a baking family, where he learned hard work, innovation, and integrity. These are the founding principles of the bagel shop, and they are leading to rapid success.

Maya Bagel Express

Cultural Relevance and Community Connection

The brand has gained national exposure through social media, adding to Maya’s charm and community standing. Even though there are now two locations, the brand still maintains its neighborhood diner feel, and that is a significant factor in its success.

Maya Bagel Express still retains its community charm and has become a gathering place for many locals. Along with delicious menu items, the restaurant serves as a place with a sense of community and service, adding a small-town feel that blends seamlessly with its national exposure.

The new location in Louisville is a welcome sight for the community and promises to be another gathering hub, offering from-scratch bagels and other menu items. This expansion marks a turning point in the young entrepreneur’s life, which stems from the family values he grew up with.

“Maya,” Channel 4’s upcoming witness protection thriller series starring Bella Ramsey and Daisy Haggard, has started shooting in Scotland, with a host of names joining the cast.

Written and created by BAFTA and International Emmy nominee Haggard (“Back To Life,” “Breeders”), who will also make her directorial debut, co-directing the series from Two Brothers Pictures (“The Tourist,” “Fleabag,” “Boat Story”) alongside Jamie Donoughue (“Doctor Who,” “The Last Kingdom”).

In the six-part series Ramsey plays the titular, Maya, teenage daughter of Anna (Haggard). Forced into a witness protection programme to escape a life-threatening danger, Anna and Maya leave their London lives and parents, Nancy (Harriet Walter – “Succession”, “Ted Lasso”) and George (Tom Courtenay – “Quartet,” “45 Years”) behind, taking on new identities and relocating to a small rural town in Scotland. Aided by Senior Detective Constable Debs (Josie Walker – “Kneecap,” “Andor”) and witness protection officers Tony (Stuart Bowman – “Dept. Q,” “Rebus”) and Karen (Kiran Sonia Sawar – “Slow Horses,” “True Love”) they try to adjust to their new reality, but the trauma of their past continues to haunt them in the form of two hitmen, Benji (Ben Chaplin – “September 5,” “The Dig”) and Ted (Raphel Famotibe – “The Night Manager S2,” “Wale”) who are intent on tracking them down. As the walls close in, it becomes clear that a dangerous and calculating figure from their past, the seemingly charming Bobby (Tobias Menzies – “F1,” “The Crown”), is still a looming and very present threat.

Also joining the cast are Serena Manteghi (“The Diplomat,” “Mrs Wilson”), Archie Backhouse (“Strategic Love Play,” “Farm Hall”), Paul Blair (“Outpost,” “Outlaw King”), Sonny Poon Tip (“Industry,” “Andor”), Finlay Shack (“Dept Q”), Max Fincham (“The Tower,” “The Witness”), Ash Hunter (“Bridgerton, “Harlots”), Harry Hadden-Patton (“Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale,” “Twisters”), Tori Allen-Martin (“Here We Go,” “London Kills”) and Isabele Derosa (“The Bombing of Pan Am 103”).

“Maya” is billed as “darkly comedic,” and am “atmospheric psychological thriller that explores themes of predatory male behaviour, family and love, but, above all, is a warm and witty celebration of the special, unbreakable bond shared between mother and daughter.”

“After years of writing and dreaming this show up… I’m absolutely thrilled that we have started filming ‘Maya’ and cannot get over what an unbelievably brilliant cast we have joining us to bring it all to life!” said Haggard. “I feel so lucky to get to work with all these remarkably talented actors as both a director and actor on this series.”

Added Two Brother Pictures exec producers Daisy Mount and Alex Mercer: “The bar was set so high on ‘Maya’ with Bella and Daisy leading the cast and Daisy’s phenomenally nuanced and entertaining scripts, so we are elated by this incredible roster of talent joining the ensemble alongside them. We can’t wait to bring the series to screens, and are hugely thankful to Channel 4, as well as our incredible cast and Scottish crew.”

Said Gemma Boswell, commissioning editor, Channel 4 Drama: “It’s a pleasure to reveal the stellar ensemble cast for ‘Maya.’ The fantastic scripts have enticed such esteemed and exciting talent, led by Daisy and Bella. Set against a stunning Scottish backdrop, we’re delighted that filming is now underway.”

“Maya” is a Two Brothers Pictures (an All3Media company) production, in association with All3Media International. The 6×60 drama has been written and created by Haggard who will also serve as executive producer, with Harry and Jack Williams, Sarah Hammond, Mercer and Mount serving as executive producers for Two Brothers Pictures. Kenny Tanner is Producer, Donoughue will co-direct and serve as co-executive Producer and Shaheen Baig is casting director. The commissioning editor for Channel 4 is Boswell. All filming will take place on location in Scotland.
