bitchy | The Sussexes attended Kris Jenner’s 70th b-day party at Jeff Bezos’ mansion

Three years ago (almost exactly), Prince William raged and screamed about how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “like the Kardashians” because they did a Netflix docuseries. William and those close to him were using “Kardashian” as a pejorative, like Harry and Meghan should be ashamed of being associated with the Kardashian family (several of whom are billionaires), or ashamed of being “reality stars” or whatever (like the Windsors aren’t the trashiest reality show ever).

I bring this up because Meghan and Harry actually ARE friendly with the Kardashian-Jenners. Meghan sent As Ever gift baskets to various Kardashians and Harry is reportedly friendly with Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble. The K-Js even posed with Doria Ragland at a local charity event a few years back. Oh, and Emma Grede has clearly created an alliance with Meghan, and Grede is heavily invested in Kim’s Skims. Those are just some of the many connections between the two families. Which explains why Harry and Meghan were in LA on Saturday night for Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party, which was hosted by Jeff Bezos at his $165 million LA mansion. The party had a “James Bond” theme, because Bezos now owns the Bond franchise, get it?

Meghan’s look is reportedly Balenciaga. I like the general idea of it – black turtleneck, long black skirt with a thigh-high split and big, dangly earrings. The flash photography revealed that the blacks don’t match and that’s irritating to me! But I’m sure it looked fine at the party. It definitely looks like Harry and Meghan continue to nurture friendships with some of the biggest high-rollers in LA. But… but… I thought everyone in LA hates them? I thought they had alienated every important person in Hollywood? LOL.

Meanwhile, Tom Sykes whined on his Royalist Substack that the “optics” of Harry and Meghan attending a huge celebrity bash makes them look bad, because the left-behind Windsors were doing Remembrance events. First of all, Harry did like five Remembrance events in a row in Canada and everyone in Prince William’s office threw tantrums over that as well. Secondly, Harry and Meghan stepped out in LA on the same f–king night that William – the whole-ass Prince of Wales and heir to the throne – was too lazy to attend the Festival of Remembrance. “The Sussexes look superficial!” Yeah, well, William looks lazy, disrespectful, childish and stupid. So there.

Rick Ross Lists Lavish $6.5 Million Florida Mansion For Sale + Features Soundproof Theater, Nine-Car Garage & More

Rick Ross is ready to cash out on one of his most luxurious properties. The Miami rapper has officially listed his stunning South Florida mansion for $6.5 million, giving fans a glimpse into his boss-level lifestyle.

Located in Southwest Ranches, Florida, the 14,000-square-foot property includes six bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms, and sits on 2.3 acres in the exclusive Landmark Ranch Estates neighborhood.

The home boasts marble floors, soaring ceilings, a private driveway, a resort-style pool, a custom bar, a soundproof theater, two offices, and even a nine-car garage. The primary suite is a showstopper, with “a custom one-of-a-kind closet, sitting area, bonus room and spa-inspired bath,” according to the listing.

Rozay bought the property from former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire in 2021 for $3.5 million cash and made major upgrades, including a massive double-R logo driveway and a new roof. He still owns his 322-acre Georgia estate, “The Promise Land.”

Would you drop $6.5 million on Ross’ mega mansion?

R. Kelly’s ‘Chocolate Factory’ Mansion In Chicago Sells For $1.6M

by jummy84 October 15, 2025
written by jummy84

The suburban Chicago mansion, famously nicknamed R. Kelly’s “Chocolate Factory” after the album he recorded there, has officially sold for nearly $1.6 million — less than half of its original asking price.

Per The New York Post, the spacious 21,000-square-foot Olympia Fields estate was sold to an unknown buyer, but the history behind the home may have had much to do with its purchase. The property served as both recording hub and the center of disturbing allegations that have long shadowed Kelly’s career.

By the time the property went into foreclosure in 2013, its physical decline mirrored its troubled history. Reportedly, flooding had gutted the basement, mold had spread across the walls, and other structural issues were apparent.

The late Rudolph Isley of The Isley Brothers and his wife, Elaine, however, purchased the home out of foreclosure for $587,500 in 2013. They spent years restoring the mansion, reviving its interiors while preserving some of its original eccentric charm. Photos of the property showed a jungle-themed indoor pool, a bedroom modeled after a Chicago Bulls gym, and other unique features.

Following Isley’s death in 2023, Elaine listed the estate for $3.5 million. Despite the extensive renovations, it ultimately sold for less than half that amount.

Listing agent Alex Wolking of Keller Williams ONEChicago told The Post that high property taxes were a major factor in the lower sale price, with annual bills once exceeding $250,000. Even after a successful appeal, taxes remained in the six-figure range. Still, Wolking noted that the mansion’s notoriety helped attract buyers.

“The R. Kelly media attention was actually what helped sell it,” he said. “The Isley Brothers connection helped draw a lot of attention, too. Homes with this kind of celebrity lineage just don’t exist in the Midwest.”

Singer R. Kelly appears during a hearing at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse on September 17, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. Kelly is facing multiple sexual assault charges and is being held without bail.

The home’s history was unearthed during Kelly’s 2021 federal sex crimes and racketeering trial when his former assistant, Anthony Navarro, testified. During his testimony, Navarro claimed that women were restricted to certain rooms in the home and forbidden from moving freely. Surveillance footage reportedly showed young girls hopping fences in what appeared to be attempts to escape.

“The things you had to do was just a bit uncomfortable…it was almost like the ‘Twilight Zone,’ you went into the gate and it was like a different world, just a strange place,” Navarro stated on the third day of the 54-year-old singer’s federal trial.

The “Step In the Name of Love” singer was arrested in July 2019 and sentenced to 31 years on Sept. 27, 2021, after a six-week trial. He was found guilty on charges of federal racketeering, sex trafficking, and child pornography charges stemming from cases in New York and Chicago.

Harry Styles facing opposition from neighbours over plans to build ‘monster mansion’

Harry Styles is facing opposition from neighbours over his plans to build a “monster mansion”.

Harry Styles is facing opposition from neighbours over his plans to build a ‘monster mansion’

The 31-year-old former One Direction singer bought the first of two houses in north London for £8.8million in April 2019, added a second adjoining home for £4million, and last year purchased a third property nearby, according to documents seen by The Daily Telegraph – and is now facing claims his proposal to join the two could obstruct natural light from surrounding houses.

He was granted permission in April to redevelop the site on the condition wildlife habitats, including hedgehog and bat boxes, were installed.

Under the proposals, Harry intends to build what has been described as a “monster mansion” featuring a master suite with four dressing rooms, a gallery, drawing room, TV room, basement cinema, pool, sauna, gym and landscaped garden with a water feature.

But some local residents have raised concerns.

One neighbour told The Telegraph: “It’s sad living next to a building site all the time. This road didn’t used to be like this.

“All the houses are now constantly being bought by millionaires and redone.

“There’s another house down at the bottom of the road, which I’m sure will be bought up and renovated like the others.

“There’s also unfortunately less community among the neighbours than there was since people have moved on from the area.”

Two neighbours have lodged formal complaints to the council over Harry’s plans, warning their legal rights to light could be affected.

Representatives for one homeowner wrote: “My client is also deeply concerned about their private legal Rights to Light that might be infringed by virtue of the implementation of the proposal or a similar scheme of this nature.”

Another complaint said: “The building will be much larger in scale to all existing properties on the road, which are two stories, therefore out of scale.

“We appreciate that the building was originally three stories, and the planning application is to restore the building; however, the majority of the road did not exist when it was three stories, and the buildings that exist were outbuildings.”

In planning submissions, Harry’s representatives said: “The proposed development has been carefully crafted to bring the building back as one of the great Hampstead houses.

“It proposes to amalgamate the two houses, along with internal and alterations, extensions to the second, ground and lower ground floors, and extensive landscaping in order to reinstate and provide substantial enhancement to the Grade II listed building.”

They added meetings had been held with residents who raised questions about daylight and construction disruption.

A daylight and sunlight study was subsequently commissioned, concluding there would be “a negligible impact on neighbouring properties in terms of daylight and sunlight”.

Harry aims for the development to be completed by October 2027.

Go Inside the Vampire Mansion With an Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Look at the Set

What We Do in the Shadows may have bid viewers adieu in late 2024, but the vampire comedy from FX is gearing up for its final bow as the show celebrates a slew of Emmy nominations.

While the show did land a nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series overall, as well as Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, What We Do in the Shadows‘ incredible creative and technical teams have also earned notable nominations, including Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Program (Half-Hour), Outstanding Picture Editing for a Single Camera Comedy Series, Outstanding Period or Fantasy/Sci-Fi Makeup (Non-Prosthetic), and Outstanding Perior or Fantasy/Sci-Fi Hairstyling.

And in celebration of those teams, we have an extra-special peek behind the scenes of the comedy, as a never-before-seen video walks fans through the backstage and mansion the vampires lived in onscreen. While Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), Laszlo (Matt Berry), Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch), and human Guillermo (Harvey Guillen) may have occupied the Staten Island abode, What We Do in the Shadows‘ mansion was actually built on a set in a Toronto-based studio.

Meaghan Darwish

TV Insider was on set for the fifth and sixth seasons of the series, where we captured a couple of the images seen above. But this new exclusive sneak peek offers an even better peek behind the curtain.

As seen in the exciting video above, it’s an all-hands-on-deck team effort as props are moved from room to room, and the walk-through offers a glimpse into the massive and nearly full construction of the house inside the soundstage.

Among some of the highlights are the main foyer heading into the house, as well as a glimpse at the kitchen, parlor, library, and much more. Don’t miss it for yourself, check out the video above, and let us know what you loved most about the vampires’ mansion in the comments section.

bitchy | Royalist: The Waleses’ move to an emotional-support mansion is ‘tone-deaf’

by jummy84 August 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Tom Sykes was and still is The Daily Beast’s Royalist columnist and European editor, but he’s branched out with a Royalist Substack, where he’s started to move beyond the palace’s talking points and his briefings from Prince William’s most incandescent “friends.” Well, Sykes covered the Prince and Princess of Wales’s planned move to Forest Lodge, and he actually pinpointed why the palace briefing about the move is so infuriating.

At a time when millions across Britain are struggling to pay rent, heat their homes, or secure a doctor’s appointment, the Prince and Princess of Wales have announced they are moving into a newly renovated £16 million ($20.3 million) mansion in Windsor Great Park, with sources saying they are doing so to safeguard their emotional wellbeing.

The property in question, Forest Lodge, is a secluded eight-bedroom Grade II-listed estate with sweeping views across Berkshire and London. Renovations are already underway, funded privately by the couple through William’s Duchy of Cornwall income, a £1 billion ($1.27 billion) portfolio of land and assets that has been enriching royal heirs for centuries.

The move was briefed by Kensington Palace as a “fresh start” for the family to heal from a difficult few years; the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, and Princess Catherine’s own health worries. Outside the royal bubble, many were left speechless by the gall of it all. Millions of Britons are also emerging from a “brutal” few years. Most of them don’t respond to adversity by moving into a multimillion-pound mansion with period features and expansive private grounds. That the Waleses would position this luxury upgrade as a form of restorative therapy speaks volumes, not just about how far removed they are from the public mood, but how tone-deaf the Palace has become in framing these decisions.

It’s not the move that is rankling, it’s the absurdity of presenting a 328-year-old eight-bedroom lodge as a necessary crutch for emotional survival.

The family first moved to Windsor in 2022, settling into Adelaide Cottage to be closer to the late queen and to allow the children, George, Charlotte and Louis, to enjoy a more private, countryside upbringing. The current home has no live-in staff. Nor, apparently, will the much larger Forest Lodge. Which rather begs the question: if you didn’t need staff and you have four bedrooms, why do you now need eight? For a couple who seem keen on staying relatable, the spinning of this house move lands somewhere between baffling and plain stupid.

William has spent the past year casting himself as a reformer who wants to make the monarchy “fit for purpose.” But it’s hard to imagine anything less modern or relatable than announcing, during the worst cost-of-living crisis in decades, that you’re moving house to emotionally reset and your new house happens to be a manor on Crown land worth north of £16 million.

The late queen might well have approved the move itself—kings and queens do live in palaces, not cottages, after all—but would never have had the gall to pitch such a move as a therapeutic necessity. Her reign, for all its stiff upper lip flaws, was defined by discipline and duty. William’s emerging version of kingship appears far more personal, driven by private need and family comfort, and to hell with the PR optics.

No one denies the last 18 months have been hard for the Waleses. But the idea that the solution to coping with grief, illness and transition is a £16 million “forever home” with woodland views is grotesquely out of touch. You guys want a bigger house! Just own it.

[From The Royalist Substack]

LMAO, let’s see if “friends close to Prince William” arrange a briefing now. “Presenting a 328-year-old eight-bedroom lodge as a necessary crutch for emotional survival” and “That the Waleses would position this luxury upgrade as a form of restorative therapy speaks volumes, not just about how far removed they are from the public mood, but how tone-deaf the Palace has become in framing these decisions.” Well done. While I agree that the framing is asinine and hilariously out-of-touch, that isn’t the only problem with this move. It’s beyond clear that William is using this move to proclaim that he’ll 100% live in Forest Lodge forever… so that by the time he becomes king, people are going to be BEGGING him to live in a palace or castle. There’s a hint of a longer-term strategy at play here, and I doubt that William came up with it. But yes, it’s amazingly privileged to argue that you and your wife need an emotional-support mansion (to compete with your brother’s Montecito mansion, sob).
