Athiya Shetty has shared a carousel of pictures as she celebrated her 33rd birthday. Taking to Instagram, Athiya Shetty posted her childhood photos, shared selfies, and pictures clicked with her husband-cricketer KL Rahul.

The first picture had childhood photos of Athiya making goofy poses and smiling. She posted photos of the flowers that she received on her special day. In a photo, Athiya sat on KL Rahul’s lap while he posed sitting on a couch. She held him while he wrapped his arms around her.

A picture showed KL Rahul holding a glass, enjoying his beverage. Athiya gave a peek inside the menu of her birthday dinner. The list included mushrooms, tuna and lamb among other dishes. She posed for a selfie in a pink shirt dress. The last picture showed Athiya’s birthday cake on which “happy burday Evaru ka mama” was written.

Sharing the pictures, Athiya captioned the post, “Birthday things! (pink heart, flower bouquet and sparkles emojis) Thank you for the love and wishes… so grateful (folded hand emoji).” Reacting to the post, Samantha Ruth Prabhu wrote, “Happy Birthday stunner.” Sonakshi Sinha said, “Happy Birthday, baby doll.”

On Athiya’s birthday, KL Rahul shared a bunch of photos on Instagram. He had captioned the post, “Happy birthday to my best friend, wifey, lover, stress ball, goofball (two hearts emoji). I love you more each passing year (red heart and hug face emojis) @athiyashetty.” Athiya commented, “The storm to your calm. Love you.”

About Athiya

Athiya got married to KL Rahul on January 23, 2023, in an intimate ceremony at Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala. The couple later announced their pregnancy in November 2024 through an Instagram post and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Evaarah, in March.

Athiya made her acting debut in 2015 with Hero. Later, she was featured in films such as Mubarakan and Motichoor Chaknachoor. She has been away from the film industry for some time.

The full list of performers and presenters for the 2025 MAMA Awards have been revealed – see all the details below.

This year’s edition of the annual K-pop wards is slated over two days in Hong Kong on November 28 and 29. Previously 10 acts were announced to perform over the course of the two days.

The original slate of performers for November 28 was ALPHA DRIVE ONE, BABYMONSTER, BOYNEXTDOOR, BUMSUP, ENHYPEN, Hearts2Hearts, IVE, MEOVV, Super Junior and TWS. The original announcement for day two’s (November 29) performers were: ALL DAY PROJECT, CORTIS, KickFlip, izna, Stray Kids, RIIZE and ZEROBASEONE.

Now, more acts have been announced to perform. Day one will now include i-dle, MIRROR, NCT WISH and TREASURE, while day two includes aespa, G-Dragon, IDID, JO1, KYOKA and Tomorrow X Together.

The presenters for this year’s awards have also been revealed: Go Youn Jung, Noh Sang Hyun, Roh Yoon Seo, Park Hyung Sik, Shin Seung Hun, Shin Ye Eun, Shin Hyun Ji, Arden Cho, Ahn Eun Jin, Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Kwang Soo, Lee Do Hyun, Lee Soo Hyuk, Lee Jun Young, Lee Jun Hyuk, Yim Si Wan, Jang Do Yeon, Jeon Yeo Been, Cho Sae Ho, Jo Yu Ri, Cho Han Gyeol, Ju Ji Hoon, Cha Joo Young, Choi Dae Hoon and Hyeri

Genie Francis Shifts Into Protective Mama Bear Mode as Laura Puts Drew in His Place

Genie Francis has been absent from our screens far too often as of late on General Hospital. Fortunately, that was rectified this week when the Daytime Emmy winner’s character, Laura Webber Collins, blasted morally-challenged Congressman Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) for his machinations.

We also saw a fun, softer side to Laura as she bonded with Port Charles’s latest newcomer, Ronnie Bard (Erika Slezak). For her performance that was both passionate and personable, TV Insider bestows Performer of the Week honors on Francis.

Congressman Cain is enjoying throwing his weight around wherever he can these days. Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Rocco (Finn Carr) were his latest targets after Drew discovered that Danny had violated the order keeping him from his sister, Scout (Cosette Abinante).

Francis’s Laura arrived just in time to not only put a halt to Drew’s verbal attack on the boys, but also to administer one of her own. “I beg your pardon,” Laura authoritatively informed Drew. “I believe you’re out of your depth, Congressman!”

Mathison has come to embrace his manipulative character and has gotten quite used to ordering people around. Laura, however, has delt with villains in Port Charles for decades, from conniving Bobbie Spencer (the late Jacklyn Zeman), in her conniving nursing school days, to controlling matriarch Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). The mayor of Port Charles doesn’t let anyone push her around. She’s not about to let anyone intimidate her grandson, Rocco, either.

“When did you become so petty and vindictive?” Laura almost rhetorically asked Drew. She wasn’t interested in hearing anything he had to say in terms of defending his character, or lack thereof.

After politely asking Danny and Rocco to leave, Laura’s strength only seemed to grow. “I would appreciate it if you would stop characterizing Danny as a ‘bad influence,’” Laura scolded Drew.

Soaps are famous for their two-person scenes, but Francis was sharing the screen with daytime legend Slezak in this confrontation with Drew. We couldn’t help but notice Laura’s bemused reactions as Ronnie caught on to Drew’s true nature.

When Drew failed to win Ronnie over to his side, he fell back on gunning for Scout’s brother. “Oh, please!” Laura remarked as she called out the Congressman for not being able to separate his personal feelings from politics.

Francis’s Laura has a beautiful smile, and she lit up like a Christmas tree when she heard Ronnie say she didn’t much like Drew.

After Drew was shown the door to the house that it looks like he won’t be buying, Laura turned to Ronnie and said, “As the mayor of this town, may I be the first to officially welcome you to Port Charles.”

In an effort to bond with Ronnie, Laura recounted a tea party she once helped the late Lila (Anna Lee) throw at the Quartermaine house when she was employed by her husband, Edward (David Lewis). There was a nice shoutout from Laura to her mother (Lesley, Denise Alexander) when she recounted that Alan (Stuart Damon) and Monica got into a fight that day, which climaxed when Monica threw a teacup at her husband.

We can’t say we recall that particular bit from the show’s Golden Age, but all that matters is that Francis sold the incident as if it had actually occurred. That’s how good she is.

In an effort to shed a light on the sister Ronnie never fully knew, Laura explained that the Quartermaines argued for sport (they sure did) and that Monica was Edward’s favorite (also true).

If Ronnie ends up coming clean that she’s a big fraud and not really Monica’s sister, it may be because folks like Laura have welcomed her with such grace. Kudos to Francis for her terrific performance as Laura passionately defended her grandson and also showed she can befriend a total newcomer with genuine warmth.

Actor Ishitta Arun, on Sunday took to Instagram after she and her family were trolled for smiling at the funeral of uncle and veteran adman Piyush Pandey. She posted, “Grief isn’t a single script. And when you’re saying goodbye to a man who laughed louder than anyone else, remembering him through laughter isn’t disrespect. It’s continuity. It’s muscle memory. It’s knowing who he really was. What you saw was us laughing at his line- a line only he could deliver. If you had known him, even in passing, you wouldn’t have needed this explained.” She added, “We don’t stage grief. We don’t mute memory to make strangers comfortable. We remember him honestly- as laughter, courage, and life itself. Next time-know the story before you comment on the moment.”

Speaking to HT city about the incident she says, “As a society, we tend to attach emotions to certain prescribed behaviours. If you’re not crying, then you must not be grieving. If you don’t display something a certain way, then you must not be feeling it. This comes from a deeply ingrained, and often unexamined, mentality — one that is far more common across our cultural landscape than we like to admit. It isn’t limited to grief. It shows up in many aspects of Indian social conditioning. The simplest expression of it has always been, ‘Log kya kahenge?’ these are those very 4 log.”

Ishitta says her concern isn’t the trolls themselves – their opinions are irrelevant. What troubles her is what they represent. She says, “Social media hasn’t created this mindset, it has simply made it more visible. Earlier, the same commentary happened within drawing rooms and family circles – now it is just typed out loud The constant policing of how to sit, how to speak, how to feel — the quiet, everyday judgement that shapes how so many people move through the world.”

Sharing memories from the funeral she reminisces, “When we bid him goodbye, we sang Mile Sur Mera Tumhara – we cheered for mama, and we promised each other that the next time we gather, it will be in a better, lighter setting. He was always the life of the party, and that spirit stayed with us. All of us, in our own way, could hear his commentary in our heads – that familiar tone. Some of the things we did, he would have looked at and said, ‘Bakwas hai.’ And that made us smile through the heaviness. He would also have been the first to worry about his elder sisters – all in their seventies now – and whether they would slip into sadness. I’m genuinely glad that my aunts and my mother dressed up, showed up, and held themselves with dignity. That is not vanity, that is health. That is continuity. And they are allowed that grace. There are far more real things to focus on than how grief should look.” While describing the family’s bond she quotes Piyush’s iconic line, “As for our family -Fevicol ka jod hai. Tootega nahi.”

“I’m not affected by commentary or trolling – I’ve been in the public eye long enough. Comment on my work, my performance, my choices – that belongs to the professional space and I accept it. But this is not that. This is not work. This is family. And how we honour someone we love does not require explanation to anyone.If that makes someone uncomfortable, they are welcome to sit with their discomfort – we are not hosting it, ” she signs off.

This year’s MAMA Awards 2025 is shaping up to be one of the biggest and most highly anticipated editions yet. The full list of nominations has officially been unveiled, and it is already stirring major buzz. BLACKPINK’s Jennie has secured the most nominations of the night. Close behind are fellow artistes like Rosé, SEVENTEEN, and aespa, all earning multiple nods.

Notably, while the BTS members have received individual nominations for their solo work, the group itself is absent from the group categories. One of the biggest surprises this year is the inclusion of the fictional K-Pop groups from KPop Demon Hunters, HUNTRIX and Saja Boys, who landed nominations in place of the actual artistes behind them.

Earlier this week, a joint reel was shared on Jeannie Mai, Mama Mai, and Monaco Mai Jenkins’ official Instagram accounts. Furthermore, the reel showed Mama Mai running down her makeup routine from beginning to end. Usually, beauty gurus walk their audience through their step-by-step. However, this time, Mama Mai seemingly tapped Monaco for her rundown.

“Oh brother, here we go again,” Monaco’s voiceover began, seemingly setting the hilarious tone of the clip. “Now we’re gonna talk about my grandma’s makeup — is that frosting?”

Ultimately, the clip culminated with Monaco saying her grandmother looked like she had put “blue crayon” and “spider legs” on her face. Additionally, the 3-year-old even compared her grandmother’s appearance to Scar from ‘The Lion King,’ Ursula from ‘The Little Mermaid,’ and Cruella de Vil from ‘101 Dalmations.’

To note, despite her hilarious comments, Monaco ultimately ended the clip saying her grandma looked “crazy but beautiful.”
