Reflecting on the past few years, Amaal shared, “2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 were very bad years. Emotionally bahut mushkil tha.” He spoke about enduring multiple personal losses — the death of his beloved pet dog Handsome, losing friends during the Covid-19 pandemic, and the end of a long-term relationship. “Losing my pet, losing a few friends in Covid, a 6-7 saal ka relationship coming to an end, everyone getting married, everything… aise dhad dhad dhad karke hua mere saath,” he said.

Among these heartbreaks, Amaal revealed that losing his dog Handsome affected him the most. Fighting back tears, he recalled, “When I lost Handsome, it was the worst. Mummy boli thi ki aake milke ja bimaar hai. I didn’t meet him.” Ashnoor was seen comforting him, saying, “It’s okay.”

Regarding the alleged abandonment, Malik explained, “We are two swords of the same empire; no one has a bigger heart than my father. When the Mumbai floods hit on July 26, 2005, I was about seven years old. Juhu is a low-lying area, so it was flooded. I was outside the gate, struggling and crying, with water up to my chest. I saw Malik’s family see me and lock their Mercedes, leaving me stranded. A friend of my father’s wife saw me and helped me into her car. I was waving, hoping for help, but instead of opening the door, she locked it. When I returned home and recounted what happened, it caused a huge scene.”(SIC)

Recently, Amaal Mallik made headlines again after a heated spat with Kunickaa Sadanand, during which they exchanged accusations about family and used abusive language. In the latest episode, Amaal was seen backbiting about Awez Darbar while speaking to Farrhana Bhatt, calling the influencer’s followers fake. His remarks did not sit well with viewers.

The episode also saw Kunickaa Sadanand confronting Neelam Giri for revealing their private conversation to Zeishaan Quadri. The fight escalated, with Awez, Pranit and Mridul jumping in. Later, Neelam felt everyone was ganging up on her and broke down in tears. She then went to Amaal Mallik and told him that Awez had been willing to fight with him for the past four weeks. Amaal appeared visibly offended by the revelation.

While talking to Neelam, Amaal asked when Awez had said that, and later went on to abuse him, saying “2 kaudi ka…” before the camera quickly panned away. He was later seen talking to Farrhana about Awez, claiming, “Out of 30 million, 25 million of his followers are fake. I’ve given him so much business. If he has the guts to refuse me work outside, then I’ll believe he is a man.”

The internet was quick to criticise Amaal’s behaviour, with many calling him out on social media. He also needs them to promote his songs.” Another simply commented, “He is so arrogant.” While one user posted, “He is literally the worst. I hate how no one stops him from talking like this,” another added, “And there are still people supporting him. Disgusting.”

In the recent Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman Khan praised Amaal Mallik and Shehbaz Badesha for their prank of hiding food items and clothes of fellow contestants to spark fights inside the house, though viewers largely found the prank boring.
