Y’all, wait?? Brittany Mahomes is only 30 years old? Why did I think she was in her late 30s? Brittany celebrated her 30th birthday this week, meaning she’s a Virgo. Brittany had a girl-squad b-day party in Nashville, and she invited Taylor Swift. Taylor came for the party, or one of the parties. It doesn’t look like Taylor stuck around for very long though – just a brief appearance, drop off a gift, take a couple of photos and have a glass of wine, then Tay got out of there.

Last year, there was a larger conversation about Taylor’s politics and Brittany’s politics and all of that. Like, Taylor was blamed for normalizing or accepting Brittany’s MAGA lunacy. I felt a bit sorry for Taylor, because to me, it looks like she’s being nice to the wife of her fiance’s closest work colleague. Of course, I also think Taylor doesn’t mind hanging out with Brittany, but make no mistake, they’ve barely seen each other in months and their friendship seems scheduled around football season.

One nice thing I’ll say about Brittany is that it seems like she has a core group of girlfriends and it also looks like she “treated” them to her lavish, multi-day birthday celebrations. It’s interesting to see Taylor as the “third wheel” in someone else’s clique. That’s probably why Taylor skedaddled pretty quickly.

No. 10: He Can Handle the Pressure

Not only has Travis played in four Super Bowls, winning three of them (NBD!), but he’s also hosted Saturday Night Live, so you know he can handle intense spotlight with ease. 

That may seem trivial, but Taylor has penned several songs regarding her fear that her level of fame could prove to be too much for her romantic partner to handle. (See: “Peace” and “The Archer.”) 

“It all depends who you’re with,” Taylor said in, “If they have a serious issue with it, I guess you’ll hide or whatever, but I don’t really like that, because it makes me feel like I’m running from the law or something. I don’t want to feel like a fugitive, like, ‘Oh my god, we’re having a relationship, better hide!’

“I feel like if you can be in a relationship and have it seem normal, that would be good.” 

And in his WSJ interview, Travis proved he’s more than ready for the pressure that comes with being married to someone as powerful as Taylor.

“Obviously I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them…I’ve never dealt with it,” he said. “But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it.”

“The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she’s just living, enjoying life,” he added. “When she acts like that I better not be the one acting all strange.”

Patrick Mahomes, Brittany Mahomes Celebrate Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Engagement

Brittany Mahomes is kicking off her birthday weekend in style.

Patrick Mahomes’ wife gave a peek into how the festivities began over Labor Day weekend—and it seems she might be taking a trip to the Pink Pony Club ahead of her 30th birthday Aug. 31.

In a snap reshared to her Instagram Story Aug. 29, Brittany stood on the steps of a private jet sporting a white T-shirt, pink pants and an orange, fuzz-rimmed cowgirl hat as she lifted one arm in the air and smiled at her friends. She was also surrounded by a plethora of festive balloons, including large 3-0 balloons and orange and pink inflatables, as well as balloons in the shapes of disco balls, stars and cowgirl boots.

She has yet to share where she’s headed with pals Lyndsay Bell and Cass Greinert, but it’s sure to be a rootin’-tootin’ good time.

After all, Cass captioned the same pic shared to her Instagram Story with a nod to country icon Shania Twain, writing, “Celebrating our girl all weekend!!! Let’s go girls.”

Plus, Brittany—who shares kids Sterling Skye, 4, Bronze Lavon, 2, and Golden Raye, 7 months, with Patrick—already got the party started, getting her birthday week underway with a spirited outing alongside her husband and Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on Aug. 28.

Brittany Mahomes has led the congratulations to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce after the pair announced their engagement.

Congratulations have flooded in for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift after they confirmed their engagement

The 29-year-old star has grown close to the Love Story hitmaker since she began dating NFL star Kelce in 2023 and took to social media to express her delight at the couple’s joyous news.

Brittany – who is married to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes – posted on Instagram: “Two of the most genuine people meet and fall in love. Just so happy for these two.”

Patrick and Travis have long been close both on and off the field as they have won three Super Bowls together with the Chiefs and the quarterback celebrated the news by sharing the couple’s joint announcement post alongside a trio of love hearts.

The couples regularly spend time together away from the NFL and the Mahomes’ joined Travis in a private box at one of Taylor’s shows in Amsterdam on The Eras Tour last year.

Patrick, 29, said: “We were just having fun and enjoying a dinner just like anyone else would. That’s what makes it so great.

“We don’t make it more than what it is – it’s just friendship, fellowship and enjoying everyone’s success.”

Mahomes recalled how he had some doubts when Travis first told him about his romance with Taylor that were only removed when the music mega star attended her first NFL game in September 2023.

Speaking in the ESPN docuseries The Kingdom, the quarterback said: “He told me during the week. It was one of those where I gotta see it until I believe it.”

Taylor shared a series of photos of Travis’ forest proposal on Instagram on Tuesday (26.08.25) – which received over six million likes within an hour of being uploaded to the social media platform – and Kelce’s team-mate Mike Danna is pleased with the “beautiful” news.

The Chiefs defensive end said: “Man, it’s incredible, great for them.

“Anytime you find that joy, happiness, it’s a beautiful thing. I just got told 30 seconds ago. That’s a beautiful thing to see.”

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump wished the couple “a lot of luck”, despite previously being critical of the Blank Space hitmaker after she had backed his rival Kamala Harris in last year’s presidential election.

He told reporters at the White House: “I wish them a lot of luck. I think he’s a great player. A great guy. And I think she’s a terrific person.”

The official NFL social media account also sent well-wishes to the the pair.

The post simply read: “Congratulations to Travis and Taylor.”
