Shah Rukh Khan thanks fans for showering love on son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut The Ba***ds of Bollywood

by jummy84 September 20, 2025
written by jummy84

Actor Shah Rukh Khan, known for his deep bond with fans, has expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support his son Aryan Khan received for his much-discussed directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The actor took to social media to respond to a fan club post featuring images of people celebrating the series with posters of both Shah Rukh and Aryan.

Proud father Shah Rukh Khan took to social media to thank audiences for liking son Aryan Khan’s new Netflix show The Ba***ds of Bollywood.

Shah Rukh shares fans celebrating the show

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Shah Rukh shared pictures of fans celebrating the show. He wrote a note that read: “Thank u team for the love and cheers. Hope you guys finished watching the show… at least a few times. Ha ha.”

During the launch event of the show, Shah Rukh had noted his initial thoughts about it and Aryan’s approach. “When Aryan told me he was going to make a show on Bollywood, that it would be raw, edgy, and would have some madness to it,” he said. “I thought, ‘Is he going to share the CCTV footage of Mannat on YouTube?'” Shah Rukh Khan added.

“If I’m being honest, it took me a while to really catch on and catch the tone of the show. Once I did, I was completely drawn in, and honestly, I’m really, really happy about it.”

The Ba***ds of Bollywoog getting rave reviews

Aryan’s debut series has sparked widespread conversation since its release, both for its bold subject matter and its unconventional storytelling. The show takes a satirical, behind-the-scenes look at the film industry, peeling back the glamour to reveal the chaos beneath. Its daring tone and fresh perspective have drawn praise from critics and viewers alike.

In a review, Hindustan Times noted: “What works in Ba***ds’ favour is that these spicy gossip and anecdotes are not simply peppered in the show for fun. There is a woven narrative that has some semblance and cohesion, even if not much. What saves it is great casting and some solid performers.”

The review went on to highlight how the show avoids star-driven casting in favour of actors who truly fit their roles.

“Manish Chaudhari as Freddy, Bobby Deol as Ajay, and Raghav Juyal as the hero’s friend Parvaiz are perfectly cast. Their performances are also the best part of Ba***ds, elevating it from merely chuckleworthy to actually fun.”

The show is available to stream on Netflix after its release on September 18.

Saiyaara is the no 1 non English film on Netflix globally, beats Fall For Me; Ahaan, Aneet thank fans for all the love

Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda-starrer Saiyaara has become the most-watched non-English film on Netflix globally within five days of its streaming release.

In its debut week on streaming, Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara has scripted history by becoming the most-watched non-English film on the platform globally. The romantic drama has beaten German erotic thriller Fall For Me and Netflix’s Hindi original, Inspector Zende, in the race.

Saiyaara tops Netflix’s global charts

As per Tudum, Netflix’s databank of best-performing titles, Saiyaara is trending at number 1 in the list of non-English films worldwide, with 3.7 million views and 9.3 million hours viewed. Fall For Me is in the second spot with 6.5 million hours viewed, while Inspector Zende, starring Manoj Bajpayee, rounds up the top 3 with 6.2 million hours viewed. The only other Indian film in the top 10 is Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom, which sits in the 9th spot with 2.5 million hours viewed.

Saiyaara is currently the number 1 non-English film on Netflix globally.
Saiyaara is currently the number 1 non-English film on Netflix globally.

On Wednesday afternoon, Netflix India shared a video message from the film’s leads – Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda – reacting to the film’s performance on streaming. “For giving Saiyaara all the love in the world, we love you forever and ever and ever. Saiyaara is trending globally on Netflix, only because of you. Thank you for watching and rewatching, and rewatching,” the actors said in the message.

Saiyaara’s successful run

Saiyaara released on Netflix last Friday, and has climbed to the global number 1 position in just five days. Given its box office performance and craze among the passes, the film was expected to do well upon its streaming release, but it would be safe to say, the film has surpassed expectations. None of the recent big-budget Indian films have managed to enter the global top 3 of Netflix, let alone top it.

Saiyaara is a love story of a temperamental singer (played by Ahaan) and a songwriter (Aneet). Their love is tested by her early-onset Alzheimer’s. The film, a musical drama, saw director Mohit Suri return to the romantic genre after over a decade, and to great returns. Saiyaara has grossed ₹577 crore worldwide, becoming not just the second-highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, but also the highest-grossing romantic film in the history of Indian cinema. It has also catapulted its two leads to overnight stardom, particularly among the younger audiences.

JADE Talks ‘THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!’ Album, Her Love of Pop & New Tour

by jummy84 September 17, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s no mistake that JADE’s debut solo album THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! is a thoroughly poptacular affair. “I live and breathe pop, I always have done,” she tells the Billboard Pop Shop Podcast (listen to her full interview, below). “I just am obsessed with it.”

Billboard has called the album “a distinct, dazzlingly ornate record” that takes sonic cues from divas like Diana Ross, Madonna and Janet Jackson, and demonstrates the breadth of her “taste as a pop student and skills as a wide-ranging vocal dynamo.”

JADE first made her mark on the pop landscape as Jade Thirlwall, a member of the British girl group Little Mix. The ensemble was formed in 2011 on the U.K. reality competition program The X Factor and notched numerous hit albums on both sides of the Atlantic, including a whopping 19 top 10-charted hits on the U.K. Official Singles Chart. In 2022, the act went on hiatus while the individual members explored solo endeavors.

Fast-forward to 2024, and JADE’s debut solo single “Angel of My Dreams” hit No. 7 on the U.K. Official Singles Chart. She followed it with another top 40 hit in “FUFN (F— You For Now)” this past March, and won her first solo BRIT Award for Best Pop Act that same month. Through the summertime, JADE played major festivals including Glastonbury, and opened for Chappell Roan in Edinburgh. Her THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! – THE TOUR kicks off Oct. 8 in Dublin and continues on into the U.K. through Oct. 22 in London, which she has “hope” will come to the U.S.

The Billboard Pop Shop Podcast caught up with JADE quite literally a few hours before THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! was released on Sept. 12. Here are some excerpts of her chat with the podcast, which you can listen to in full below.

On when the writing process for the album began.

The album writing process started, I think, like three years ago now, right off the back of the Little Mix hiatus. I went straight into the studio, writing nonstop, figuring out what my sound was on my own. And then I think just over, maybe, a year and a half ago was when “Angel of My Dreams” was written. And I think once that happened, that kind of became the catalyst for what the album would be, and everything just fell into place from that point onwards.

How she’s staying in the moment and celebrating the album’s arrival.

In the next few weeks, I just want to be super present with this record. It’s something I’m so proud of and waited a long time for. And I want it to feel like a celebration between me and my fans and see as many of them as possible. And I think in this job, in this music industry, you’re constantly on the move, and you can easily just sort of get swept up in all the politics and the promotion and marketing and all that stuff. And just forget that actually it’s really f—ing cool. And you are able to just make an album, and you should take time to be proud of that and be present for it.

On how SHOWBIZ has an “element of chaos.”

And then I think the album itself has an element of chaos to it, just sonically. And each song is different to the next. I consciously didn’t want it to be a super cohesive or conceptualized album, because the truth is that I was experimenting for this and trying different sounds, figuring out who I am. So I wanted the album to literally sound like that. And with songs like “Angel of My Dreams” or “It Girl,” and, you know, even to “Fantasy,” every song has its own identity. And I guess that’s where the kind of chaos of the record lies. I feel like you can hear it … so that day she was, she was trying this sound, and she was merging these genres. It’s a very sort of experimental pop record, I would say.

On JADE’s love of pop music.

I live and breathe pop. I always have done. I just am obsessed with it. And I’ve done a lot of research. Ever since I was a little girl, it’s always been something I’ve been obsessed with — not just the music, but, like, just every part of it. Like, I’d have the dolls of my favorite artists, and the CDs, and I’d open it up, and I’d look at all the credits and the lyrics and take it all in and study the artwork and the videos. So for me, the best pop artists are the ones that don’t just focus on the music and they see it as a whole brand, I suppose. And so I have a lot of fun with that. And, you know, making a pop record that feels very visual, too. So, yeah, I always knew, and I always will be like a pop girly. But, it was interesting, and it was essential to sort of find out what the JADE sound is. And, like, how do I stand out and make my mark in the pop world?

Did the genesis of SHOWBIZ begin before Little Mix went on hiatus?

I think, like musically, I kind of had an inkling of where I might go. There was a song I wrote for the girls on our fifth album called “Wasabi,” and it kind of became a fan favorite, and it became almost known as like, as my song within the group. And so, I kind of knew that that would be a good starting point. But I think lyrically, it wasn’t until after, I think because I was so used to writing lyrics that were very universal or very relatable for everyone, because in a group you can’t be too personal. It’s not just about you. So, it wasn’t until afterwards, when I was in rooms on my own, and getting more confident and sort of realizing, oh, I actually can just literally write about anything now, and I can be, almost uncomfortably honest at times with, like, my own experience.

On her love of Madonna.

She is one of the best pop stars we will ever get. She reinvents herself with every era, which I find hugely inspiring. As someone that wants a long career, for me, Madonna is the epitome of longevity as a pop artist, and I think that’s when you are so sure of who you are, and you speak up and speak out for things you feel passionate about. I watched her documentaries as a teenager, and I always respected that she wasn’t afraid to be controversial, or afraid to stand up for what she thought was right. So, I’ve took that with me as a solo artist.

On what to expect from her THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! tour.

I think my THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY concert will play on that sort of theatrical theme. And I’m actually really excited to be in theaters, because it means I can really delve into taking advantage of those stages and making it almost feel like a musical theater production or a cabaret show. So I’m very excited for that. And, all the songs are all very different. So it’s going to make for a, well, a show that won’t be boring. (Laughs.) You know, obviously I love to go in with the costumes, and we’ll have the band and the choreography. So, yeah, I’m really working hard with my creative director on how we make this smaller stage feel like you’ve entered my world and you leave there being like, ‘Oh, fuck, you know, she really made that work.’

Could the tour visit America?

I think so. Yeah, I hope so. We hope so. We’re all putting our heads together of how to make this work. Because I really, really want to get over to the U.S. and do shows there and in Europe and just everywhere. You know, it’s always been a dream of mine to be able to say that I’m doing my own headline show, whatever that is.

This Look Sarah Pidgeon Wore as Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy on ‘American Love Story’ Is My Dream Fall Outfit

by jummy84 September 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Sometimes, paparazzi shots from a set can spoil the plot of the upcoming movie or series. But there is one advantage to losing the element of surprise: fashion inspo. A perfect example of this is a recent look worn by actor Sarah Pidgeon as she plays Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy on the set of American Love Story, a new series from Ryan Murphy about the style icon and her marriage to John F. Kennedy Jr.

In the 1990s Bessette-Kennedy made her mark in fashion, becoming a style icon that designers and fans alike pinned to their mood boards. She was the original queen of what we now call “quiet luxury.” She shaped her minimalist looks without frills, prints, or excessive accessories. Instead, she focused on well-tailored wardrobe essentials. At her wedding to JFK Jr., for example, she wore a simple white silk slip dress cut on the bias.

So naturally, images from the set of Murphy’s upcoming series about the couple, American Love Story, have found their way onto every Instagram feed. As a result, there’s been a renewed appreciation for the Bessette-Kennedy’s fashion.

Her minimalist style from the 1990s has proved to still be as relevant as ever, so it’s not surprising that I was recently taken with a photograph of Pidgeon as Bessette-Kennedy on the streets of New York. The actor was wearing a black knit cardigan, khaki pants, a pair of square-heeled sandals, and a Birkin bag.

The look is so quintessentially “quiet luxury” that I instantly added it to my fall mood board. Assuming you’d like to do the same, I shopped out a few similar pieces for you, below.

Ricky Hatton’s ex-girlfriend Claire Sweeney will “always” love him following his tragic death.

Ricky Hatton’s ex Claire Sweeney will ‘always’ love him

The 46-year-old boxer was found dead at his home in Greater Manchester on Sunday (14.09.25) and now actress Claire – who dated the sports star last year – has sent her “deepest sympathy” to his family and declared he was “adored and cherished”.

In an emotional statement posted on Instagram, she wrote: “I’ve needed a few days to process the devastating news about my dear friend Ricky.

“My thoughts are with his family especially his children Campbell, Millie Fearne and Lyla, his granddaughter.

“To them, Speaky (Ricky’s manager Paul Speak) and to all his friends who loved him so deeply and for so many years I send you my deepest sympathy. Ricky, you were the people’s champ.

“We adored and cherished you. Love you always.”

Claire and Ricky had been friends for a long time before their relationship turned romantic last year. However, the romance didn’t last and Claire previously admitted they had gone back to being friends again.

She told MailOnline: “We’re still friends, we were friends, we dated and now we’re friends again. It’s all good.”

Before dating Claire, Ricky was in a relationship with model Chelsea Claire, who declared she had been left “heartbroken” by news of his death.

In a post on Instagram, the model shared a picture of the former couple together and wrote: “Heartbroken doesn’t begin to cover what myself and the rest of the world are feeling.

“You were an inspiration to many and I was lucky to call you my partner. You will be missed so much.”

The couple dated in 2023 after meeting at a bar in Tenerife and Chelsea previously admitted she had no idea who he was when they first met, but he won her over with his dancing karaoke singing.

She told The Sun newspaper: “I didn’t know who he was but my friend offered to buy him a drink. “Instead, he looked over at me and asked me what I wanted. I said a Fireball. We both got them then went on the dance floor most of the night.

“He’s not afraid to take the p**s out of himself and was doing the worm dance]. He had me laughing all night.

“I can’t say his dancing was as good as his karaoke. He sang Wonderwall by Oasis and he’s a really good singer. But he was just a real character and he added my Instagram that night so we could see each other again.”

Chris Martin Tells Coldplay Fans To Send Love To Charlie Kirk’s Family

by jummy84 September 14, 2025
written by jummy84

As the killing of Charlie Kirk sparks mass partisan fallout, it seems Chris Martin is trying to keep the peace with a message of love.

During the band’s final stop on their Music of the Spheres World Tour on Friday in London, the Coldplay frontman encouraged the audience to send love “to Charlie Kirk’s family” following the conservative influencer’s death this week.

“Let’s raise our hands like this and send love anywhere you wanna send it in the world, and there are so many places that might need it today,” he said onstage at Wembley Stadium. “So, here it comes from London. You can send this to your brother or sister, you can send it to the families of people who have been going through terrible stuff.”

Martin continued, “You can send it to Charlie Kirk’s family, you can send it to anybody’s family. You can send it to people you disagree with, but you send them love anyway. You can send it to peaceful people in the Middle East and Ukraine and Russia and Azerbaijan and Sudan and London, anywhere you think might need love from London. Here it comes.”

Kirk, a conservative influencer and the co-founder of Turning Point USA, died at age 31 after he was shot in the neck from a nearby building during an outdoor speech on Wednesday at Utah Valley University. On Thursday, 22-year old Utah local Tyler Robinson was arrested for the shooting.

While politicians and public figures on both sides of the aisle have condemned the act of political violence, many have called attention to Kirk’s divisive public stances, which he advocated through his student organization Turning Point USA.

President Donald Trump has since shared a statement, blaming the shooting on the “radical left,” adding: “This type of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now.”

“My administration will find each and every one of those who contributed to this atrocity, and to other political violence, including the organizations that fund it and support, as well as those who go after our judges, law enforcement officials and everyone else who brings order to our country,” added Trump.

Coldplay Say Send Love Anywhere, to Charlie Kirk’s Family too, at Show

by jummy84 September 13, 2025
written by jummy84

Coldplay can’t seem to escape controversy of late, even when they’re trying to preach love for all humankind. There was the jumbotron “kiss cam” controversy in July, which captured a tech CEO apparently cheating with his chief of human resources. Now, they’re getting heat for telling fans they can “send love anywhere,” including to the family of Charlie Kirk, the right-wing activist and Trump ally who was fatally shot on Wednesday. And the political divisiveness continues to ramp up in the wake of Kirk’s death.

In footage captured from the band’s show at London’s Wembley Stadium on Friday, frontman Chris Martin beckoned fans to send some love out into the world before they performed “Fix You.”

“For the final time for a few years in London, let’s raise our hands like this, and send love anywhere you wanna send it in the world,” he said from the stage, raising his hands in the air (something the band has been doing throughout their recent tour). “There are so many places that might need it today. So here it comes from London. You can send this to your brother or your sister. You can send it to the families of people who’ve been going through terrible stuff. You can send it to Charlie Kirk’s family. You can send it to anybody’s family. You can send it to people you disagree with, but you send them love anyway.”

The sending love out to people, places, and the overall universe really, is on-brand for Coldplay. In Rolling Stone’s cover story from December, Martin said, “That’s really our mission right now: We are consciously trying to fly the flag for love being an approach to all things. There aren’t that many [groups] that get to champion that philosophy to that many people. So we do it. And I need to hear that too, so that I don’t give up and just become bitter and twisted and hidden away, and hate everybody. I don’t want to do that, but it’s so tempting.”

Editor’s picks

(Speaking of being on-brand, the night prior, country artist Gavin Adcock — who has been feuding with Charley Crockett over “authenticity” in country music —  unsurprisingly led a Charlie Kirk chant at his concert, as Fox News reported.)

Kirk was apparently not a fan of Coldplay, which he revealed in a video where he was discussing the Coldplay kiss cam footage from July. In case you were somehow offline for the many days that story went viral: Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company’s chief human resource officer Kristin Cabot were caught canoodling on Coldplay’s jumbotron, which inadvertently exposed their apparent affair. When they realized they were seen on camera in an intimate embrace, they ducked and hid. Martin then joked from the stage (which turned out to not be a joke at all), “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Trending Stories

In Kirk’s clip about the viral kiss cam episode, he said, “I would rather be caught dead than be at a Coldplay concert. I would rather go to a WNBA [Women’s National Basketball Association] game than go to a Coldplay concert. I couldn’t think of something more boring and banal and a waste of time.”

Kirk was the co-founder of Turning Point USA, which was formed to foster a culture of conservatism on school campuses around the nation. He was fatally shot Wednesday while speaking to students at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The suspected shooter, Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah, was taken into custody on Friday.
