Lorde is heading back to the UK in 2026 having been announced as the next headliner for London’s All Points East.

The singer will be performing at Victoria Park next August alongside PinkPantheress, Zara Larsson and more.

The New Zealand singer is just wrapping up the UK leg of her Ultrasound world tour before heading over to dates in Europe, North America and Oceania.

“All Points East is honoured to welcome global superstar Lorde as a headliner for next summer,” organisers said. “A Grammy-winning artist and cultural force, Lorde is known for her genre-defying sound, introspective lyricism and striking creative vision.

“Since her breakthrough with Pure Heroine in 2013, she has redefined the contours of modern pop-merging poetic storytelling with minimalist, emotionally resonant production.”

All Points East has also announced Tyler, The Creator and Deftones as its other headliners. Here’s how to get tickets today.

Fans react to the biggest Grammys 2026 snubs – from Lorde and The Weeknd to Gracie Abrams and Benson Boone

by jummy84 November 7, 2025
written by jummy84

The Grammy nominations are out and fans of some of the snubbed artists – Lorde, The Weeknd, Gracie Abrams, Benson Boone – are not happy.

Earlier today (November 7), the Recording Academy revealed the full list of nominees for the 2026 Grammys, which are set to be presented at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on February 1.

Kendrick Lamar was the big winner with the announcement, picking up nine nominations thanks to his 2024 album ‘GNX’, while Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish and Tyler, The Creator were well represented.

Records had to be released between August 31, 2024 and August 30, 2025 to be eligible, but several big hitters in the music industry who were eligible were still left without any recognition.

Among those names is Lorde, who released her fourth album ‘Virgin’ in June, but received zero nominations. The New Zealand singer has had a fraught history with the Grammys, dating back to her 2018 record ‘Melodrama’, which was nominated for Album of the Year but did not result in her being offered a solo performance on the telecast, in contrast to all of her fellow male nominees.

In response, she seemed to subtweet the Recording Academy and later took out an advert in a newspaper pointedly thanking music fans for “believing in female musicians”.

Lorde fans were not impressed with her snub this time around, with one X user speculating: “Lorde being blacklisted from the Grammys since she came for their ass in 2018.”

Lorde was snubbed once again at the #GRAMMYs .

— barb (@wilmontouch) November 7, 2025

Also overlooked was The Weeknd, whose sixth album ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ came out in January, but did not garner him any nominations. His history with the Grammys is even more frayed than Lorde’s – in 2021, he declared he was boycotting the awards when ‘After Hours’ was snubbed, explaining the Grammys “remain corrupt” and saying the Academy “owe me, my fans and the industry transparency”.

That boycott came to an end at this year’s ceremony, however, when he made a surprise appearance at the show, performing ‘Cry For Me’ and ‘Timeless’. The backtracking has not helped him pick up nominations, however, and many fans have noted the irony.

“Doing all that work to bring The Weeknd back into the Academy and make amends just to play in his face again,” wrote one X user. “Man whatever.”

One of the most successful songs of the past 12 months was Gracie Abrams’ ‘That’s So True’, but despite being released during the eligibility window, it did not get nominated.

That’s disappointing. Gracie Abrams’ talent deserves recognition. The Grammys missed out on acknowledging her incredible work this year.

— viral clips (@chotichinta) November 7, 2025

Another one missing from the list of nominees was Benson Boone. He was nominated for Best New Artist last time around, losing out to Chappell Roan, but this time, despite releasing his second album ‘American Heart’ in June, he is nowhere to be seen.

Also the #GRAMMYs has way to much balls disrespecting Benson Boone like that, American Heart was FLAWLESS both vocally and production-wise … pic.twitter.com/vlwQJI0IYo

I seriously think benson Boone was robbed this year at the Grammys

All records to have been released since the end of August this year will be eligible for the 2027 Grammys, including the likes of Taylor Swift’s ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’ and Doja Cat’s ‘Vie’.

The Weeknd to Lorde: Biggest snubs in Grammys 2026 nominations

Every year, many artists do not make it to the coveted Grammys list and the nominations for the 2026 ceremony are no different.

The 2026 Grammy Award nominees were announced on Friday and with an exciting lineup, there were some artists who made it to the coveted list, while others missed out. Like every year, snubs were in no short supply.

The Weeknd and Lorde did not get a single Grammy nomination. (X/@chartdata, @PopCrave)

Here are some of the biggest names who missed out on making it to the Grammys 2026 nomination list.

Biggest snubs of Grammys 2026

  • The Weeknd – The musician failed to make the cut despite being on the entry list for categories like Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for Hurry Up Tomorrow, as well as Record and Song of the Year for Timeless, which features Playboi Carti. “Despite having one of the best selling albums in 2025 and having hits like Timeless, The Weeknd was snubbed and received zero Grammy nominations,” one person wrote on X.
  • Lorde – The singer didn’t get a single nomination despite the success of her fourth album, Virgin. Lorde won her only Grammy in 2014, when she got the Song of the Year award for Maya Georgi, making history by becoming the youngest songwriter to do so.

  • Benson Boone – Boone, whose song Beautiful Things became wildly popular, and along with other works made him an exciting prospect, is nowhere in the nomination list this time. He was nominated for Best New Artist in 2025, but didn’t get a single nod this time – and all this after the much-discussed backflip across the Grammys stage.
  • Elton John and Brandi Carlile – Their album Who Believes in Angels? did not get a nomination in any major category, despite both artists being adored by the Recording Academy. However, they did get a nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
  • Role Model – The singer has been a success story in 2025 and his single Sally, When the Wine Runs Out seemed to have swept everyone up from AI Roker to Charlie XCX. However, the singer, whose name is Tucker Pillsbury, did not seem to make a mark at the Grammys. While there was some expectation he might have a shot at the Best New Artist category or the pop categories, he didn’t get a single nod. On the bright side, the artist is reportedly already working on his next album.

The 2026 Grammy Awards will air February 1 live on CBS and Paramount from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Lorde Brings Out Charli XCX for ‘Girl, So Confusing’ in L.A.: Watch

The singers delivered the song’s remix at Kia Forum on Saturday

Lorde and Charli XCX worked it out on the remix live last night, with a surprise performance of their collaborative version of Charli XCX’s “Girl, So Confusing.”

At Lorde’s Ultrasound World Tour stop at Kia Forum in Los Angeles Saturday, the singer invited Charli XCX out during the encore. Lorde gave the audience a clue what was coming when she wrote the word “Girl” and underlined it on the palm of her hand, as fan footage shows.

Appearing on a small platform in the middle of the audience, Lorde started singing the song as a video displayed on the main stage screen showed footage of Charli, who turned out to be on the Kia Forum’s main floor. Charli then launched into her first verse. She walked through the audience and made her way to the platform, where the pair performed the Brat and It’s Completely Different But Also Still Brat track together, delivering an energized, dance-fueled performance.

The duo previously performed the remix together during Charli’s co-headlining Sweat Tour with Troye Sivan in 2024, and earlier this year, they teamed up to perform it during Charli’s appearance at Coachella in April.

Trending Stories

A year after the remix’s release, and the song’s complicated female friendship narrative, which they address in their confessional collaborative version, continues to resonate not only between the artists and their fans, but with other female artists, too. In September, Hinds, who has been covering the remix version on tour, released a video for their spin on the track.

Lorde’s tour continues through the U.S. with three more stops — she plays Berkeley tonight before continuing on to Portland and Seattle. She then heads to the Europe and the U.K. She concludes the 2025 portion of the tour with a pair of shows in Brooklyn at Barclays Center on Dec. 16 and Dec. 17.

Charli xcx Hits the 2025 Academy Museum Gala—and the Lorde Show—in One Night

by jummy84 October 19, 2025

She’s everywhere, she’s so Julia!

It doesn’t take an LA geography whiz to know that Charli xcx covered a lot of ground this past Saturday night, shuttling between The Kia Forum and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Before her surprise performance of “Girl, so confusing” with Lorde at the Kiwi singer’s Inglewood show, Charli stopped by the 2025 Academy Museum Gala—in custom Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, no less.

“It was sort of like back and forth from The Forum to the gala, which was a bit hectic,” Charli says. The soundtrack to her whirlwind getting-ready process inside the Forum? The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

While Charli recently attended the premiere of Erupcja at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Academy Gala unofficially signifies her movie star turn. (Also on the docket is her forthcoming A24 film, The Moment, a fictionalized account of Brat Summer, co-starring Alexander Skarsgård.) As anyone who follows her Letterboxd knows well, Charli is an avid cinephile. Her favorite recent watches? Jim Jarmusch’s Permanent Vacation and the forthcoming Marty Supreme “I will say Marty Supreme is the best film I’ve seen recently. Hands down,” she says. “It blew me away. It’s a film with so much passion. I was completely knocked out by it.”

What better way to mark her movie star style in the nexus of the film industry than in a custom gown based on Saint Laurent’s fall 2025 collection, complete with a sheer lace top and drop-waist leather ball skirt? “My stylist Chris Horan and I knew we wanted to work with Anthony on a dress for me with that kind of shape—we were just looking for the right moment,” Charli tells Vogue. “When the Academy Gala came up, we immediately thought of the shape but we all decided that to make the dress out of leather would be this extra unexpected twist on top. I completely love it.”

Here, Charli xcx brings Vogue along for the ride from The Forum to the 2025 Academy Gala.

I feel a great deal of responsibility

Pop music is about the collective, says Lorde

by jummy84 September 9, 2025
written by jummy84

9 September 2025

Lorde thinks pop music is “about the collective”.

Lorde has opened up about her creative process

The 28-year-old singer has explained that she tries to provide some temporary relief to fans who are experiencing some “big, deep pains”.

Lorde told Dazed: “I reread [Lois Lowry’s] The Giver recently. I read it as a ten-year-old, and I reread it on the plane a couple of weeks ago and it really struck me. There’s this figure in the community who feels all the pain that other people couldn’t handle – absorbs it, holds it.

“Without being too f****** high-minded – I make pop music, I’m under no illusion – I think it’s my job to get as close to these big, deep pains that we all feel as I can bear, and try and alchemise them into something that is beautiful and gives catharsis. I think about that a lot with my work.”

Lorde’s music is personal to her own experiences. However, the singer believes she also has a responsibility to her fans.

She said: “I don’t really see it as being about me, although it is very personal. But that’s why I find pop music so incredible, because it’s about the collective.”

Meanwhile, Lorde previously confessed that she felt “disconnected from [her] creativity” at the start of 2023.

The chart-topping star considered quitting the music business altogether two years ago, admitting that she was “not in a great way” at the time.

Speaking to BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, she explained: “At the beginning of 2023 I was not in a great way on a lot of levels.

“I’d never felt more disconnected from my creativity.”

Lorde admits that an eating disorder took over her life at the time, and that it stunted her musical creativity.

The Royals hitmaker shared: “All I was thinking about was trying to weigh as little as possible.

“Going to sleep thinking about food, waking up thinking about food and exercise – that was my creative pursuit.”

Lorde released her latest album, Virgin, earlier this year, and she was deliberately brave in her approach to the project.

She said: “It was hard, it was scary. Some songs aren’t easy.

“I made a lot of changes and really put my artistry front and centre and made that my full-time job and I got a lot of stuff out of the way.”
