Deepika Padukone’s sister Anisha Padukone is reportedly set to tie the knot with her longtime boyfriend Rohan Acharya. While an official announcement hasn’t been made yet, a report by Deccan Chronicle states that the Acharya family has shared the news of a wedding in the near future.

Who is Rohan Acharya?
Rohan Acharya works in Dubai and is the great grandson of legendary yesteryear director Bimal Roy. Chimoo Acharya, Rohan’s mother, is the daughter of Rinki Roy Bhattacharya and Basu Bhattacharya. Rinki is Bimal Roy’s daughter.

Interestingly, Rohan’s family tree extends up to the Deols. Chimoo married Sumit Acharya. He is a Dubai-based corporate executive. Now their daughter and Rohan’s sister Drisha Acharya is married to Karan Deol and happens to be Sunny Deol’s elder daughter-in-law.

Wedding details

The Padukone family is yet to make an official announcement. While the news has only come out as rumours and reports, fans have been excited to know whether Deepika and her family are really preparing for a grand wedding. Deepika and Ranveer Singh also happen to follow Rohan on social media. Moreover, Ranveer and Rohan’s families are reportedly close to each other. The report from Deccan Chronicle adds, “Ranveer Singh could well have played cupid… Ranveer’s parents and Sumit Acharya are very close. It’s a wonderful family, and Anisha and Rohan naturally clicked as they met over several gatherings.”

Nicki Minaj’s Longtime Lawyer Drops Her As A Client Amid $10M Lawsuit

by jummy84 November 14, 2025

Nicki Minaj’s latest legal battle has taken an unexpected turn as her longtime attorney, Judd Burstein, has officially stepped away from representing her in a $10 million defamation lawsuit.

The move has stirred considerable conversation, not only because of Burstein’s longstanding track record of successful defenses on Minaj’s behalf, but because of the abruptness of his departure.

In a statement explaining his decision, Burstein told Us Weekly, “After I won a dismissal of Tameer Peak’s defamation lawsuit against Nicki in New Jersey, I declined the opportunity to represent her when Peak refiled it in New York.”

Burstein emphasized that his withdrawal should not be interpreted as a judgment on the case itself. He insisted the decision was “unrelated to any concern about the merits of Peak’s claims” and reiterated his belief that the complaint is “entirely frivolous.”

He further maintained that he continues to “have great affection and respect for Nicki,” though his exit has fueled speculation about whether recent public scrutiny and Minaj’s perceived erratic behavior may have influenced the shift.

Peak’s lawsuit—now refiled in New York after being dismissed in New Jersey—centers on remarks Minaj allegedly made during an April 2024 Stationhead broadcast.

According to the complaint, she referred to Peak as “one sandwich short of a picnic” and suggested he “clearly gets a check from the government,” comments he claims subjected him to public humiliation.

Despite Burstein’s past victories for Minaj—including the dismissal of a $20 million suit in 2022 and a 2024 case that led to a gag order—the rapper now finds herself without her key legal defender.

In Burstein’s place, The Northstar Group, owned by Londell McMillan, has stepped in temporarily. According to the firm, Burstein’s departure came without warning.

“That same day, Mr. Burstein abruptly withdrew entirely from his representation of [Minaj and her company], without giving any prior notice,” a representative stated.

The firm added that “[Minaj and her company] intend to appear and defend themselves in this matter, and we are requesting a stay of the proceedings, including all deadlines and further motion practice, so that [Minaj and her company] may have time to find and retain new litigation counsel, have counsel review the case file, confer with their new counsel, and prepare any responsive filings in an orderly manner.”

The Northstar Group has requested a 45-day window for Minaj to secure new representation as she prepares to confront Peak’s renewed allegations in her home state.

Jimmy Kimmel Remembers His Longtime Bandleader Cleto Escobedo III

by jummy84 November 12, 2025
written by jummy84

Jimmy Kimmel is paying tribute to Cleto Escobedo III, his childhood best friend and longtime bandleader for his late night talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, who died on Tuesday at 59.

During his 22-minute monologue (below), which he called his “hardest” to date, the host recalled tons of memories he shared with Escobedo over the years. The pair became best friends as children after Kimmel’s family moved in across the street from Escobedo’s home in Las Vegas. Once Kimmel later landed his show at ABC in 2003, he brought Escobedo and his band, Cleto and the Cletones, along since the beginning.

“We had so many adventures,” Kimmel said through tears during Tuesday’s show. “We would laugh so hard. We had our own language that almost no one else understood. We didn’t have to say anything. We’d sit here at rehearsal every day. We didn’t have to look at each other. I knew he was thinking about looking at me and I was thinking about looking at him. We look at each other like this and that would be it.”

Kimmel continued, “We loved all the same things. Baseball, fishing, boxing, [Muhammad] Ali, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Woody Allen, Michael McDonald, Huey Lewis, Stevie Wonder, and most of all, we love David Letterman. We never missed David Letterman. And the first time I was on the [Late Show with David Letterman] was in 1999. It was a really big deal for both of us. That afternoon before the show, I was so nervous. I was walking in New York City, just walking fast, trying to burn off the nervous energy, and I called him just so we could be amazed together that this was happening and it was an amazing thing.”

The comedian went on to praise how “phenomenal” a saxophone player Escobedo was from a young age: “He was a child prodigy who would get standing ovations in junior high school, if you can imagine that.” And once ABC hired Kimmel to host Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he knew he had to bring his best friend along for the journey.

“One day in September of 2002, I got a talk show just out of nowhere. I had a meeting with an executive at ABC named Lloyd Braun and he hired me to host this show. And when you do a show like this, you need a few things. You need a desk, you need an announcer, you need a Guillermo and you need a band. And of course, I wanted Cleto to lead my band,” Kimmel explained. “The idea that anyone other than him would lead the band was terrifying. It had to be him. I was so scared they would say no and I would have to have another band.”

Kimmel eventually found the courage to pitch the idea to ABC, and said Escobedo and his father ended up auditioning for the job together.

“Not only did I want Cleto to lead the band, I wanted his dad to be in the band. So, I pitched it to Lloyd,” he recalled. “Cleto and his dad did a special song. They played ‘Pick Up the Pieces’ by the Average White Band, which is two saxophones. And Lloyd saw it. He saw the father and son together. He said, ‘I love it.’ And he just got up and left. And we’ve been working together every day for almost 23 years now.”

An emotional Kimmel added, “I’ve often said that the single best thing about doing this show was getting the opportunity to allow Cleto Senior to pick up where he left off in 1966 and become a musician again with his son.”

The host continued to express how much “everyone loves Cleto,” and that “everyone here at the show, we are devastated.” He also noted that Jimmy Kimmel Live! would be taking a few nights off following Escobedo’s death.

“Even though I’m heartbroken to lose him,” a teary-eyed Kimmel continued, “I’m going to take yet another lesson from him and acknowledge how lucky I was to have him literally at my side for so many years.”

Cheryl Hines admits long-time friends distanced themselves after her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr backed Trump

8 November 2025

Cheryl Hines has said some of her long-time friends distanced themselves after her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., suspended his presidential campaign last year and announced his support for Donald Trump’s re-election bid.

Cheryl Hines has said some of her long-time friends distanced themselves after her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The 60-year-old Curb Your Enthusiasm actress discussed the fallout over the switch in an interview with Lara Trump, the president’s daughter-in-law, for My View with Lara Trump on Fox News Channel.

In an advance clip shared with People magazine, Lara asked Cheryl how those close to her responded when Kennedy, 71, publicly endorsed Trump and joined his administration.

Lara said: “He originally ran for president as a Democrat, and then that comes to an end and he says, ‘I’m actually going to support the Republican candidate for president, but not just any Republican candidate, Donald Trump’.

“Did you hear from people, did you suddenly not hear from people? How did that go for you?”

Cheryl laughed before replying: “I heard from people. You know what, I was actually grateful for my good friends that had feelings about it, still have feelings about it, but at least would call me and say, ‘I can’t believe this is happening, you can’t let this happen!’”

She added: “I would rather that than somebody who I’ve known for 30 years just stop talking to me altogether.”

Cheryl continued: “I’ve experienced it all. And then I have some really good friends that, you know, we have thoughtful discussions where it’s, you know, you can say, ‘Wow, here’s something that happened that I didn’t like, that still bothers me, and here’s something that’s happening that I think is good’.”

The actress also said she valued friends who could “see both sides and it’s not black and white”, adding: “So I really appreciate those people.”

Cheryl’s full interview will air on Saturday (08.11.25) at 9pm ET.

Cheryl has been promoting her new book Unscripted and has spoken more openly about her husband’s political alliance with Trump, who appointed Kennedy as secretary of health and human services.

Appearing on The View last month, Cheryl said she had initially been “guarded” about her husband’s decision to back Trump. She said: “I have not been a political person.

“I haven’t posted anything on social media, other than to go out and vote. I never told people who they should vote for. I just said, ‘This is important, you should vote’.

“So with Bobby, that was a very difficult decision to make with President Trump. At the end of the day, President Trump and Bobby sat down and talked, and yes, they did have a lot of common goals.”

Kennedy and Trump have since launched a joint “Make America Healthy Again” campaign, or MAHA movement.

As health secretary, Kennedy has faced criticism for making unsubstantiated claims about links between autism and both Tylenol use and early circumcision, while continuing to question vaccine safety.

A source previously told People Cheryl “was very unhappy” with RFK Jr’s decision to join the Trump wagon, but was “making the best of it” because “she loves Bobby”.

The couple, who married in 2014, have appeared together at multiple White House events, including Kennedy’s confirmation hearings and Trump’s inauguration.

Lucille Ball’s Longtime Secretary Was 87

by jummy84 October 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Wanda Clark, who served as Lucille Ball’s devoted secretary for 26 years until the famed comedienne’s death in 1989, died Sunday in Langley, Oklahoma. She was 87.

While working as a secretary at Look magazine, Clark struck up a friendship with a woman named Cleo Smith. Clark left to take a job as a travel assistant on Queen for a Day, but the TV game show got canceled shortly after she got there.

Smith, however, told her about a job opening at Ball’s company, Desilu Productions — and as Ball’s cousin, she would have known. The I Love Lucy star hired Clark in 1963 without an interview based solely on Smith’s recommendation, and she was her valued assistant until Ball’s death in April 1989 at age 77.

On social media, Ball and Desi Arnaz’s daughter, Lucie Arnaz, noted that she was 11 when Clark began working for her mom. Clark also was her matron of honor at her first wedding, to actor Phil Menegaux in 1971.

“She traveled across the globe to catch any performance of mine or my brother’s [Desi Arnaz Jr.] that she could get to, including attending our daughter’s wedding,” Arnaz wrote. “She had a memory like an elephant and a heart the same size. Everyone she met loved her.

“She and our late amanuensis, Frank Gorey (who also knew me since I was four feet tall), stayed in my brother’s and my life for decades after my mother passed. She was my North Star. Wanda and Frank’s spirit of joy and pure kindness are responsible for most of anything good in me.”

Wanda Lou Clark was born on March 19, 1938, in Vandervoort, Arkansas. She and her family lived in Idabel, Oklahoma, and moved to Oklahoma City in 1951, and she graduated from U.S. Grant High School in 1956.

While working for six years at an insurance company in Oklahoma City, Clark accompanied her sister, Bonnie, and brother-in-law, Ross, to California, where Ross was stationed at what was then called Vandenberg Air Force Base. Ross and Bonnie returned home in 1962, but Wanda decided she liked where she was and moved to Los Angeles, where she would eventually connect with Ball.

“With her efficiency and thoroughness, Wanda always saw to it that every task was done in an exceptional way,” Michael Z. Stern wrote in his 2016 book, I Had a Ball: My Friendship With Lucille Ball. “She handled everything so effortlessly, balanced it all with such sharpness and clarity. I really don’t know how she did it.”

Clark even appeared — as a secretary, of course — on a 1969 episode of Here’s Lucy.

After Ball’s death, Clark worked for philanthropist Barbara Davis, actresses Victoria Principal and Melody Thomas Scott, talent agent Roger Vorce and producer Ray Stark.

Clark was a founding board member of the Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Center in Jamestown, New York. She also loved animals, poodles in particular.

Survivors include her sisters, Marian and Beverly; her brothers-in-law, Robert and Dan; her nephew, Scott; and her niece, Shelley.

Michael Jackson’s Son Prince Proposes To Longtime Girlfriend, Molly

by jummy84 August 28, 2025
written by jummy84

Prince Jackson, the eldest son of the late Michael Jackson, is getting married.

The 28-year-old revealed on Tuesday (Aug. 26) in an Instagram post that he and longtime girlfriend, Molly Schirmang, are engaged. The two recently celebrated eight years together as a couple.

“8 years down, [infinity] to go. Molly and I have spent a lot of time together and made incredible memories. We’ve traveled the world, graduated and grown so much together. I’m excited for this next chapter in our lives as we continue to grow and make great memories. I love you babs,” the caption read.

In the intimate carousel, Prince shared several pictures of their life together — including moments while hiking, kayaking, and celebrating their college graduations. There’s also adorable photos of them sitting with Jackson family matriarch, Katherine, outside of the family home in Encino, California, and of them cosplaying as Mario and Princess Peach.

His sister, Paris, sent the couple well wishes and commented, “Warms my heart to see how much joy you two bring each other. Happy anniversary love y’all.”

Prince and Molly began dating while he was a student at Loyola Marymount University in 2017. They celebrated their first anniversary in March 2018 by taking a trip together to San Francisco.

That year, he told PEOPLE, “I think that I’m a certain way, and she’s very — I don’t want to say opposite — but complementary in a way that we balance each other out. I’m more aggressive, she’s a little softer. It helps us stay well-rounded.”

He’s mostly kept his relationship out of the public eye.
