1 October 2025

Lola Young has cancelled all of her planned appearances “for the foreseeable future” after recently collapsing on stage.

Lola Young has cancelled upcoming gigs

The 24-year-old star collapsed during a performance in New York and she’s now taken to social media to announce an indefinite hiatus from the stage.

Lola wrote on Instagram: “I’m going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future. Thank you for all the love and support. I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know.

“Obviously you will be entitled to a full refund.

“I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger. Love you all, Lola x. (sic)”

Lola previously cancelled a gig in Washington, D.C. a day after collapsing onstage in New York.

The singer suffered a medical issue while singing Conceited at the All Things Go Music Festival at Forest Hills Stadium, New York City, on Saturday (27.09.25) and was taken backstage by medical staff, but she later reassured fans she was fine.

In a statement posted on Instagram, she wrote: “I’m sorry to confirm that I won’t be playing All Things Go in DC today.

“I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this.

“I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future. Thank you to all those who listen and care. To all the people that love to be mean online, pls give me a day off. (sic)”

After her collapse in New York, Lola told fans she was “doing OK”, writing in a social media update: “Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now. Thank you for all of your support, Lola xxx. (sic)”

Speaking before the medical incident, Lola told the crowd in New York that she’d had a tough couple of days.

She said: “Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue, but you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here, and I wanted to be cool … and sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.”

Lola Young Cancels All Upcoming Shows

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

This past Saturday (September 27), Lola Young collapsed while performing during All Things Go festival at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium. Now, the British pop singer-songwriter has announced she’s taking a break to prioritize her health. “I’m going away for a while,” she wrote in a statement on social media. “It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future.”

“Thank you for all the love and support,” Young continued. “I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know. Obviously you will be entitled to a full refund. I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger. Love you all, Lola x”

Over the years, Young has opened up about her various health struggles and diagnoses, including ADHD, schizoaffective disorder, and a 2024 rehab stay to treat cocaine addiction. Young pulled out of Audacy’s We Can Survive Concert in Newark, citing mental health concerns, prior to her fainting at All Things Go this past weekend. During her debut Coachella performance earlier this year, she also vomited onstage, which she later chalked up to nerves.

Young has been writing and recording music ever since she was a teenager, having landed spots in competition shows such as Open Mic UK and Got What It Takes? in England. Last year, her single “Messy”—from her sophomore album This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway—achieved massive success, topping the UK Singles Chart for four weeks. Young released her third studio album, I’m Only F**king Myself, back in June.

Lola Young pulls out of All Things Go show in Washington DC after collapsing on stage in New York

by jummy84 September 28, 2025

Lola Young has pulled out of her Washington DC set at All Things Go, a day after she collapsed on stage in New York City.

The singer appeared to fall ill while performing ‘Conceited’ at the New York branch of All Things Go on Saturday (September 27), and was carried offstage by a medical team.

It came after Young spoke briefly about how she “had a tricky couple of days” earlier in the set. “Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue,” she said. “But you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here, and I wanted to be cool … and sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.”

Today (September 28), Young notified fans that she would not be able to fulfil her scheduled show at All Things Go in DC. “I’m sorry to confirm that I won’t be playing All Things Go in DC today,” she wrote.

“I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this. I hope you’ll all give me another chance in the future. Thank you to all those who listen and care. To all the people that love to be mean online, pls give me a day off.”

Shortly after the incident on Saturday, Young gave fans an update on Instagram, writing: “Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing okay now. Thank you for all of your support. Lola xxx.”

The incident came one day after Young pulled out of Audacy’s We Can Survive concert in Newark, New Jersey, on Friday (September 26). Hours before the start of the charity show, Young’s manager Nick Shymansky revealed on her Instagram that he advised her not to perform as a “protective measure to keep her safe.”

Young released her second album ‘I’m Only Fucking Myself’ earlier this month. It scored a three star review from NME, with El Hunt writing that despite feeling “a little all over the place”, Young had put many “surprising spins on pop into one record […] largely pulling it off”.

“One of the more interesting new names breaking out right now, Young proves that there’s far more to her repertoire than ‘Messy’, and though it occasionally lacks focus as an album, it also tees up plenty of excitement for whatever’s next.”

The singer told us about the background of ‘Messy’, which ranked as one of the biggest songs of 2025 so far, when she received the Rising Star Award at this year’s Ivor Novello Awards.

“I just wrote it from a really personal place and it can sometimes be re-triggering hearing that song because it was so intense,” she told us at the awards ceremony. “I’m out of that place now, out of that difficult time in my life.”

“I think it’s just a relatable song. A lot of people don’t feel like they’re enough for somebody; they don’t feel like they’ll ever win.”

Elsewhere, Young recently announced a 2025 UK tour, set to kick off in October. You can see a full list of dates here, and buy your tickets here.

Doechii Pauses All Things Go Festival Set to Support Lola Young

by jummy84 September 28, 2025

Doechii took a moment out of her performance at All Things Go Festival in New York City on Saturday to show her support for Lola Young after the singer collapsed onstage earlier in the night.

The rapper addressed the incident at the top of her set.

“Before we get started, though, I have a lot planned for you guys, but I want to acknowledge my sister, Lola Young,” she said. “She’s an incredibly talented artist, and she wasn’t feeling well tonight, and I’m so glad that you guys were there to support her and hold her up. Let’s wish her the best, okay, everybody? Say, we love you, Lola!”

The crowd shouted back, “We love you Lola!” Doechii added, “And I want her to hear that and I want her to feel that, okay?”

Doechii went on to perform a powerful set, which was her third on the Live From The Swamp tour. She ran through her hits — including “Denial Is a River,” “Boom Bap,” and “Balloon” — while performing in the pouring rain, adding to the overall energy and feeling fitting for a swamp.

Young suffered a medical emergency while singing “Conceited” and was carried offstage by a medical team on Saturday. A few hours later, she uploaded an Instagram Story where she wrote, “For anyone who saw my set at all things go today, i am doing okay now. Thank you for all of your support Lola xxx.”

28 September 2025

Lola Young had to be carried off stage after she collapsed during her performance.

Lola Young collapsed on stage

The 24-year-old singer suffered a medical issue while singing Conceited at the All Things Go Music Festival at Forest Hills Stadium, New York City, on Saturday (27.09.25) and was taken backstage by medical staff, but she later reassured fans she was fine.

She wrote on her Instagram Story less than an hour later: “Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now. Thank you for all of your support, Lola xxx. (sic)”

Remi Wolf had later performed at the festival and also told the audience her friend was doing OK.

She said: “That was really f****** scary. My friend Lola is backstage, and she is okay.”

Doechii also gave a shoutout to the Messy hitmaker during her own set.

Prior to her collapse, Lola had told the crowd she had been through a “tricky couple of days.

She added: “Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue, but you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here, and I wanted to be cool … and sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.”

Just a day before, the Don’t Hate Me Singer had cancelled her appearance at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert, with her manager Nick Shymansky explaining on Instagram Stories that she had done so “due to a sensitive matter”.

Earlier this month, Lola reflected on her “struggle” with sobriety after checking into rehab last year to address her drug addiction.

She told the Guardian newspaper: “It’s been a struggle – I’ve definitely had to work on some internal healing while grappling with touring and stuff …

“I’ve had to be away for a bit while battling with things. But it teaches you a lot, being addicted to substances. It makes you more empathetic about other people that have gone through that. It’s just a constant journey.”

The Big Brown Eyes singer went on to explain she feels “very grateful and appreciative” to have been given the chance to access help and support.

She said: “A lot of people don’t have the privilege of being able to do that. A lot of people suffer from addiction, and a lot of people are in that personal journey [to recovery].

“Anyone who knows that feeling will know it’s not linear, it’s always up and down, but it’s down to dysregulation of dopamine … coming out as ADHD as well and being diagnosed, that’s been hard to deal with.”

Lola Young Collapses Mid-Set at All Things Go NYC Festival

Lola Young collapsed mid-performance during her set at All Things Go’s New York festival on Saturday night. According to Billboard, the singer was five songs into her set when she suddenly fell, prompting her bandmates, team, and security to rush to her aid and escort her offstage. The remainder of her set was canceled.

Later, Young reassured fans with an Instagram update, writing: “Doing okay now. Thank you for all of your support.”

The incident came just one day after Young pulled out of a scheduled appearance at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, citing a “sensitive matter.” In a post on Instagram, her manager Nick Shymansky explained: “Lola is very open about her mental health and there are very occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe. She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career, and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.”

Before her collapse on Saturday, Young addressed the crowd directly about her decision to perform despite recent struggles. “Today I woke up and I made the decision to come here,” she told the audience. “I wanted to perform, and I didn’t want to wallow in my sadness. Sometimes life can throw you lemons and you just gotta motherfucking make lemonade… I really appreciate everyone who’s here tonight.”

Lola Young Says She Is ‘Doing Okay Now’ After Collapsing On Stage

by jummy84 September 28, 2025
written by jummy84

“Messy” singer Lola Young is updating fans after a health scare in which she collapsed onstage during her performance at All Things Go Festival at New York City’s Forest Hills Stadium.

“Hi, For anyone who saw my set at all things go today, i am doing okay now,” the chart-topping English pop artist wrote on her Instagram Story in the aftermath. “Thank you for all of your support Lola xxx.”

Per reporting from Billboard, Young collapsed while singing track “Conceited,” off of her second album This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway. At the time, the artist paused the song mid-lyrics to talk to her keyboardist, but suddenly collapsed shortly thereafter. Her band, team and security then rushed the stage to carry her off. The outlet and those in attendance noted online that the “Blind Love” singer-songwriter looked flushed prior to her falling backward.

Remi Wolf, a headliner at the event alongside Doechii, came on shortly after Young was carried out to confirm the musician was all right. In video captured at the event, Doechii told the crowd, “She’s an incredibly talented artist, and she wasn’t feeling well tonight, and I’m so glad you guys were there to support her and hold her up. Let’s wish her the best, OK everybody? So, we love you Lola! And I want her to hear that and I want her to feel that.”

Young’s performance comes on the heels of the release of I’m Only F**king Myself, her third album, which features lead singles “One Thing,” “Not Like That Anymore” and “Dealer.” Yesterday, the 24-year-old South Londoner’s team axed her scheduled appearance at Audacy’s We Can Survive event — aimed at promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention — held at New Jersey’s Prudential Center in Newark due to a “sensitive matter.”

Her manager, Nick Shymansky, wrote on social media of the canceled performance: “Lola is very open about her mental health and there are very occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe. She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.”

Prior to her collapse, Young addressed her return to the stage at All Things Go: “Today I woke up and I made the decision to come here,” she told the crowd. “I wanted to be here, I wanted to perform, and I didn’t want to wallow in my sadness. Sometimes life can throw you lemons and you just gotta motherf—ing make lemonade.”

Young has seen her star rise throughout the past year, thanks in large part to the viral traction her earworm of a song “Messy” gained on TikTok. She followed that up with a collaboration opposite Tyler, the Creator, on his “Like Him.” Earlier this year, she guest performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and made her Coachella debut.

Lola Young Collapses Onstage During All Things Go Fest Performance

Lola Young collapsed onstage while performing at All Things Go in New York City on Saturday. The singer suffered a medical emergency while singing “Conceited” and was carried offstage by a medical team.

Remi Wolf later appeared onstage, where she addressed the crowd, stating, “That was really f—— scary.” She added, “My friend Lola is backstage, and she is okay.” The crowd cheered in support.

A few hours later, Young uploaded an Instagram story where she wrote, “For anyone who saw my set at all things go today, i am doing okay now. Thank you for all of your support Lola xxx.”

Earlier in the set, Young spoke about how she “had a tricky couple of days,” adding: “Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue, but you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here, and I wanted to be cool … and sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.”

A rep for Young did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.

The incident came one day after Young pulled out of Audacy’s We Can Survive concert in Newark, New Jersey, on Friday night. Hours before the start of the charity show, Young’s manager Nick Shymansky revealed on Young’s Instagram story that he advised her not to perform as a “protective measure to keep her safe.”

“Unfortunately due to a sensitive matter I have advised Lola Young to pull out of performing at Audacy – We Can Survive @ Prudential [Center] this evening,” Shymansky wrote. “Lola is very open about her mental health and there are very occasionally days when myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe.”

Shymansky ended the statement by adding, “She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.”

A spokesperson for Audacy shared their support for the singer in a statement to Rolling Stone: “We support Lola and her mental health and wish her the very best. We thank fans for their understanding.”

Young has described her battles with mental health in the past. “It’s very important that I’ve been open about it because it’s given the leeway for other people to be open about it and the drive for other people to reach out and say how much it has helped them,” she told Rolling Stone, citing occasional episodes that have taken place in front of collaborators, and how writing through them has resulted in some of her most raw work to date.

Friday’s canceled show comes just a week after the singer released her new LP,  I’m Only F**king Myself. Young had a breakout hit with the 2024 track “Messy,” and previously released the 2023 album My Mind Wanders and Sometimes Leaves Completely and the 2024 album This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway.

Lola Young collapsed mid-song and was carried offstage Saturday evening (Sept. 27) at New York City music festival All Things Go. The incident happened a day after the 24-year-old south London singer’s Friday night performance was canceled by her team “due to a sensitive matter.”

Young gave a strong vocal performance but appeared flushed and emotional during her set Saturday at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, powering through four songs — “Spiders,” “F— Everyone,” “Dealer” and “Walk All Over You,” all from her new album I’m Only F—ing Myself — before falling backwards during the next.

Midway through 2023 single “Conceited,” Young paused to communicate with her keyboardist. The message did not appear to get across before she collapsed.

Young’s band, team and security rushed to surround the singer, who was down for about 30-45 seconds, and carry her offstage. Billboard reached out to Young’s representatives for an update on her condition.

The moment left the audience in shock and quiet. The crowd clapped as Young was helped offstage, and a hyperpop song played in the stadium after her exit.

On Friday, manager Nick Shymansky shared an Instagram Story to announce that Young was pulled last minute from that night’s scheduled set at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert at the Prudential Center, citing a “sensitive matter.” “Lola is very open about her mental health and there are very occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe,” Shymansky wrote. “She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.”

Before collapsing on Saturday, Young addressed her return to the stage early in her set at All Things Go.

“Today I woke up and I made the decision to come here,” Young said to Saturday night’s crowd. “I wanted to be, I wanted to perform, and I didn’t want to wallow in my sadness. Sometimes life can throw you lemons and you just gotta motherf—ing make lemonade … I really appreciate everyone who’s here tonight.”
