Dan Aykroyd and Donna Dixon sent a shockwave through Hollywood in April 2022 by announcing that they were going their separate ways after 39 years together. The pair, who got hitched way back in 1983, made a joint statement, saying that they will remain legally married. “After 39 years as a couple we are now on separate life paths. We remain legally married, co-parents, co-workers and business partners,” the former couple told People. “This is our choice in loving friendship.”

Donna began her career as a model.

Born in Alexandria, Virginia, Donna got her start as a model, working for Wilhelmina Modeling Agency before competing in various beauty pageants. She was named Miss Virginia USA in 1976 and Miss District of Columbia World in 1977. She also competed in both Miss USA 1976 and Miss World USA 1977. After her pageant days were over, Donna decided to try her hand at acting and quickly found success in television, landing the role of Sonny Lumet on the 1980s sitcom Bossom Buddies, alongside Tom Hanks.

She met the ‘SNL’ funnyman on a movie set.

Donna and Dan first bumped into each other while they were working on the 1983 movie Doctor Detroit. They would go on to marry that same year. The adorable couple went on to appear together in a smorgasbord of other feature films, including Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983), Spies Like Us (1985), The Couch Trip (1988) and Exit to Eden (1994). Donna’s last movie appearance was in 2014 when she portrayed Ms. Blair in Da Sweet Blood of Jesus.

Donna & Dan are the proud parents of 3 daughters.

The pair share daughters Belle, Stella and singer Danielle, who is known professionally as singer-songwriter Vera Sola.

Dan referred to her as the ‘White Goddess.’

In an interview with Tampa Bay Times back in 2014, Dan gushed about his wife. “You gotta find the right person — look them in the eye, have them look back, and know their soul. She’s a Southern woman who is understanding and doesn’t mind dealing with the boys from time to time. I call her the White Goddess. And I’m the Green Demon.”

Donna was once engaged to a member of the band KISS.

Before Donna and Dan became star-crossed lovers, the beauty said “I do” to KISS bandmember Paul Stanley after they dated for a few years. They broke it off shortly before Donna began work on Doctor Detroit. Dan was also previously engaged. He and the late Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher were ready to walk down the aisle together after meeting on the set of Blue Brothers. However, they called it off after Carrie reconciled with singer/songwriter Paul Simon.

James Pickens Jr., who’s best known for playing Dr. Richard Webber in Grey’s Anatomy, shocked fans upon revealing his cancer diagnosis. What made the news even more unsettling was that his on-screen character’s cancer battle was revealed in the season 22 midseason finale. As fans grapple with the revelation, many are wondering whether or not James is leaving the show.

The actor spoke with BlackHealthMatters.com in November 2025 to discuss his illness.

“It’s not the kind of news anyone wants to hear, but to be honest, prostate cancer has run through my family,” James pointed out. “My father had it. He had a lot of brothers; several of them had it. I would have been surprised if I hadn’t gotten it. I’ve got a 90-year-old first cousin, who’s still alive, actually; he had it. His son has it. A couple of his brothers had it. No one, as far as I know, has succumbed to it.”

Does James Pickens Jr. Actually Have Cancer? What Type He Has

Yes, as previously noted, James was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2024.

“We caught it really early, and so they thought that would be the best route to take,” the Ohio native told BlackHealthMatters.com. “I do have a rare variant that you don’t see very often. They wanted to err on the side of caution and keep an eye on it. It was rare enough that they wanted to make sure that they were crossing all the T’s and dotting all their I’s. But they hadn’t seen one that was detected as early as mine.”

During the interview, James recalled going back to the doctor and, “when my PSA numbers came back, my primary said, ‘Yeah, you know what? It’s ticked up some more. I want to send you back to the urologist.”

“The urologist looked at him and said,” Yeah, there’s something here. Let’s do an MRI,’ which we did, and it revealed, as he called it, something suspicious,” James elaborated. “They scheduled a biopsy, which revealed a tumor.”

He also shared that through all of life’s many ups and downs, he and Gina always were committed to staying together. “You gain strength in the struggle. We never veered from the focus of our careers, but also committed to staying together and building a family,” James added.

Ariana Grande experienced an unpleasant encounter with a Wicked: For Good Singapore premiere attendee, who turned out to be aspiring Australian influencer, “Pyjama Man,” whose real name is Johnson Wen. Wen lunged at Grande while she and her film co-stars were walking down the red carpet as fans happily greeted them from both sides.

As seen in multiple viral videos from the event, Wen rushed toward the “yes, and?” artist and put his arm around her, visibly jolting Grande. Cynthia Erivo quickly pushed him away as security intervened, and their other co-star Michelle Yeoh placed her arms around Grande to comfort her. Erivo, Yeoh and security appeared to ask Grande if she was OK, and she nodded. The team proceeded to walk into the premiere, as fans were heard shouting, “Are you ok?” to the actress, who plays Glinda in the two films.

Wen even posted one of the videos from the premiere to his Instagram. He captioned it, “@arianagrande @wickedmovie Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You.”

Katy Perry fans recall that Wen was the concertgoer who jumped on stage at one of her shows in June 2025. As seen in a video he shared, the “bandaids” artist was clearly surprised at his appearance and gradually stepped away from him as security escorted him off the stage.

However, he told Fox News’ Sean Hannity in November 2025 that he plans to “sit down with the president” and “talk to him about” the possibility at some point, though he and the Republican Party are currently focused on the midterm elections.

“So, we’re gonna win the midterms, we’re gonna do everything we can to win the midterms,” Vance continued, adding, “After that, I’m going to sit down with the president of the United States and talk to him about it. If we do a good job, the politics will take care of itself. If we do a terrible job, the politics will take care of itself in the other direction, so I’m just going to focus on the job that I have.”

The former couple’s oldest son is their adorable boy, Milan. Shakira gave birth to the 12-year-old on Jan. 22, 2013, about two years after she and Gerard made their romance official. At the time of Milan’s arrival, Shakira and the proud dad took to her website, via US Weekly, to reveal the exciting birth announcement. “We are happy to announce the birth of Milan Piqué Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Piqué, born January 22nd at 9:36pm, in Barcelona, Spain,” the statement read, explaining that “the name Milan (pronounced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification.”

Interestingly, the website then stated that Milan would pursue a career in professional soccer like his dad. “Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth,” the site read at the time. These days, Milan can be spotted on his momma’s Instagram during his karate matches, playdates, and more. On April 24, 2022, Shakira shared an adorable photo with her two children after their karate match. “Competing is never easy, I love watching them go gaining confidence and overcoming the fear of competing as it’s never easy at any age,” she captioned the post (see above).

Their Youngest Son, Sasha Piqué Mebarak

Two years after their eldest son was born, Shakira and Gerard welcomed another boy, Sasha, on Jan. 29, 2015, per AP News. Both of her children were born in Barcelona, Spain, as that is where their father’s former soccer team was based out of. At the time of Sasha’s birth, the duo revealed the reasoning behind his name. The indicated his name is of “Greek and Russian descent and meant ‘defender of mankind’ and ‘warrior’”, per AP.

The Columbia native is an extremely proud boy mom, and often posts photos of both of her kiddos across her Instagram. Shakira took Milan and Sasha to a Dodger game in Los Angeles, CA, on Aug. 2, 2022. “Thanks to the @dodgers for making my kids feel at home,” she captioned the photo of them on the baseball field (see above). And just six days later she shared a sweet image of them in a warm embrace. “The purest love,” she wrote on the post.

What She’s Said About Motherhood

Shakira loves being a mother, and has spoken about how her children heal her numerous times, including in a 2022 Mother’s Day post, shared via Instagram. “Just with a kiss they heal everything and make it worth it to keep fighting for them! Happy day to all the moms! With one kiss they can cure it all and make it worth your while to keep fighting for them. Happy Mother’s Day!”, she captioned the photo of her boys kissing her cheeks.

Shakira and Gerard have reported “signed a custody agreement”, as reported by E! News in Nov. 2022. The boys are will reportedly move to Miami, Florida with their mother, as that is where her “maternal family” is located. “Our sole objective is to provide our children with the utmost security and protection,” the now-exes told the outlet at the time, “and hope that they can continue with their lives in a safe and calm environment.”

Gerard and his former leading lady ended their 11-year romance in June 2022. “We regret to confirm that we are parting ways,” they said in a joint-statement to E! Warner Bros. Pictures’ film adaptation of Wuthering Heights features some of the most recognizable faces in the business, starting with Hollywood royalty Margot Robbie. The Australia native, whose most acclaimed movies include The Wolf of Wall Street, I, Tonya, Mary Queen of Scots and Barbie, is playing the role of Catherine. Margot teased how “brilliant” the adaptation is during an August 2025 interview with Josh Horowitz.

Margot Robbie – Catherine Earnshaw

Margot plays the lead of Catherine, who also goes by “Cathy.” She resides in 19th-century Wuthering Heights and eventually meets a foundling (an abandoned child) named Heathcliff, whom she gradually falls in love with. She is expected to marry Edgar Linton, Heathcliff’s opposite.

Charlotte Mellington – Young Catherine

Actress Charlotte Mellington is an up-and-coming star! According to her IMDb profile, Wuthering Heights is her first film role.

Jacob Elordi – Heathcliff

Jacob will be playing Heathcliff, a character who has long been described as the classic tortured antihero. He is introduced as a more romantic, positive person in his youth, but rage and jealousy plague him over time.

Owen Cooper – Young Heathcliff

Owen Cooper is playing the younger version of Heathcliff, and he is best known for his Emmy Award-winning performance as Jamie Miller in Adolescence.

Hong Chau – Nelly Dean

Shazad Latif is playing Edgar Linton, the man whom Catherine is supposed to marry, and a direct opposite to Heathcliff’s personality. Shazad has been seen in the television series Penny Dreadful, Star Trek: Discovery, Nautilus and Atomic.

Alison Oliver – Isabella Linton

Irish actress Alison Oliver is playing Isabella Linton and is on the rise in the film and TV industry! She’s appeared in the films Saltburn and Christy in addition to the shows Conversations with Friends and Best Interests.

Martin Clunes – Mr. Earnshaw

Martin Clunes will be playing Mr. Earnshaw and is known for a variety of film and TV roles, including Men Behaving Badly, Doc Martin and Shakespeare in Love.

Who Is Claudia Traisac?

Originally from Spain, Claudia is a film actress who rose to prominence for her role in the series Cuéntame cómo pasó. As an acclaimed television star, Claudia has also appeared in main roles in series such as 18 and Vivir sin permiso.

Claudia’s first movie role was in 2004’s El 7 Dia, and she later appeared in the musicals Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar and La Llamada.

How Long Have Josh and Claudia Been Dating?

Neither Josh nor Claudia has publicly confirmed the start of their relationship, but multiple outlets reported that they began dating in 2013. They first met on the set of their film Escobar: Paradise Lost. And as true star-crossed lovers, Josh and Claudia’s on-screen characters fall in love after he meets her on a trip to Colombia.

Since then, Josh and Claudia have been spotted on rare occasions in Los Angeles and traveling around the world together.

What Has Josh Said About Claudia?

The Five Nights at Freddy’s actor and the El 7 Dia actress rarely speak about their romance in public. However, they finally broke their silence about it during a 2015 red carpet interview with E!

“It’s pretty good. Distance is hard, but we make it work,” Josh admitted to the outlet, while Claudia added, “I’m really happy. It’s really great.”

Later that year, the Hunger Games franchise star got candid about the difficulties in managing a long-distance relationship. “There’s a lot of traveling, a lot of Skype,” he told Dujour magazine at the time. “I feel like I’m with you because I’m seeing you and we’re talking, but also you’re a f**king screen. It’s very frustrating.”

Nevertheless, the duo seemingly haven’t had a problem with spending some time physically apart. They’ve continued to land acting roles while maintaining a healthy relationship.

Nearly 10 years after they opened up about their romance, Josh made a rare comment about Claudia during his January 2024 appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. Though he refrained from saying Claudia’s name, the Beekeeper actor discussed the whistle meme of him that became viral on social media.

“I had no idea [the whistle meme] existed, and then my girlfriend posted it,” Josh said to host Jimmy Fallon.

Are Josh and Claudia Still Together?

As of 2025, it appears that Josh and Claudia are still together. Although the couple keep their love away from the public eye, Josh affectionately talked about his girlfriend during an August 2025 interview with People while revealing the name she calls his dog, Smudge.

“My girlfriend is from Madrid, and she couldn’t really say Smudge — it’s a hard word to pronounce in Spanish,” he explained. “We looked up that Mancha is the Spanish for a smudge, and so, Manchi became the cute Spanish version.”
