When Hugh Jackman split from ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness in September 2023, fans were stunned. “Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” the former couple said in a statement to People. “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority.”

It’s a profound wound that cuts deep.” Deborra-Lee emphasized her journey towards healing, stating, “Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.”

Adding to the developments, reports suggest that Sutton has moved into Hugh’s New York City penthouse, a residence he previously shared with his ex-wife. According to New Idea, an insider revealed, “She’s slowly migrating her things over to Hugh’s place. Caroline Flack was considering new life in Ibiza

27 October 2025

Caroline Flack was considering starting a new life in Ibiza before she died.

Caroline Flack wanted to start a new life in Ibiza

The former Love Island presenter took her own life in February 2020, months after being charged with assaulting her then-boyfriend Lewis Burton and though she had been very low after her arrest, her mum Christine Flack was pleased to see some bright spots around Christmas time.

Christine told The Guardian newspaper: “We spoke every day and if she didn’t see me, she saw [her twin] Jody.

“She had good friends that she trusted. On Christmas Day, she came home and she wanted to play games and do things, it was just lovely.

“At one point, she said, ‘I think I’m just going to live in Ibiza’ which is a place she loved.

“I wish she had! One day she’d feel as if she could cope, then the next, something else would happen.

“There is always a way forward. I want everyone to know that.”

Christine recalled feeling “pleased” when the COVID-19 lockdown was imposed just weeks after her daughter’s death.

She said: “Covid came a month later and I do remember that I was pleased for lockdown.

“You lose someone, the whole world keeps going and you see all the things that Caroline should be doing. I loved lockdown because everything stopped.”

Christine always slept with her phone next to her because she feared a call from Caroline, having grown up with her experiencing frequent “highs and lows”.

She said: “It would ring and you’d know in a second whether it was going to be something fun, a ‘Mum! Guess what?’, or if you needed to get in your car and go to her….

“As a little girl, she really had highs and lows. She’d either be really laughing or really crying. I had to collect her from school a few times when they couldn’t stop the crying – but that was her and that continued.”

Despite her success, the former X Factor host suffered dark moments, which she kept private, including stints in hospital, and doctors suggested she could have bipolar disorder, though a formal diagnosis was never given.

Christine said: “Her work was her main coping mechanism.

“She was really ashamed. She didn’t want to be known for that.”

Although Christine questions how things could have been different when she’s feeling “low”, she tries to focus on the good times with her daughter.

She said: “At home, I’ve got so much of her stuff but it’s not depressing.

“I’ve got her glitterball from Strictly on a shelf, her awards, her front pages and covers. Jody has a room full of Caroline’s things, her scripts, her shows. Someone gave us a beautiful portrait they’d painted of Caroline in a shoot she’d done with syrup running down her head.

“My memories now are usually fun, because that’s what Caroline was like in our life. When she walked into a room, she could change everything, she could lift the day.”

Who Is Timothy Mellon? All About the $130 Million Mystery Troops Donor – Hollywood Life

In late October 2025, the Pentagon accepted an anonymous donation of $130 million to cover military personnel salaries during the ongoing government shutdown. Donald Trump announced the gift without naming the donor, calling them “a friend” to him and “a great American citizen” who “loves the military and loves the country’ while speaking to reporters. Trump also noted that the donor is “a big supporter of [his]” but “doesn’t want publicity.” Shortly thereafter, The New York Times reported that the mystery donor was Timothy Mellon, who is a member of the famous banking family.

Keep reading to learn more about Timothy and his reported contribution to the U.S. military.

Timothy Mellon Is the Grandson of Andrew Mellon

Timothy’s grandfather is former U.S. Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon. Andrew was one of the longest-serving Treasury secretaries in American history and worked in his position during the roaring ’20s as well as the 1929 Wall Street crash.

What Is Timothy Mellon’s Net Worth?

Timothy has a net worth of about $1 billion, according to Forbes. However, he denied this by writing, ““Billionaire NOT! … Never have been, never will be,” in a 2024 email to the outlet, according to CNBC.

The entire Mellon family’s net worth is estimated to be about $14 billion, according to Forbes.

Breaking News: Timothy Mellon, a banking heir, is said to be the anonymous donor who gave $130 million to the U.S. government to help pay troops during the shutdown. https://t.co/eLAKC5nJv4

— The New York Times (@nytimes) October 25, 2025

Where Is Timothy Mellon Now?

Timothy maintains a private lifestyle. Despite his apparent financial contributions, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, live a life out of the public eye.

As Trump said to reporters in October 2025, his military donor “doesn’t want publicity.”

“He prefers that his name not be mentioned, which is pretty unusual in the world I come from, and in the world of politics, you want your name mentioned,” the Republican president added.

Why Did Timothy Mellon Donate Millions to the Military?

As previously noted, the ongoing government shutdown has impacted federal workers, including any active-duty military. Timothy’s financial contribution sparked debate over the legality of such a payment. The donation was accepted under the Pentagon’s “general gift acceptance authority.” However, others have pointed out that it may go against the Antideficiency Act, which restricts agencies from spending beyond payments appropriated by Congress.

Charles Chaplin’s Unfinished ‘The Freak’ Comes to Life in a New Book

by jummy84 October 27, 2025
written by jummy84

In 1967, Charles Chaplin directed his final film, “The Countess From Hong Kong.” An ill-fated project doomed by the differences in working methods of director Chaplin and star Marlon Brando, “Countess” broke Chaplin’s spirit — and his ankle when he tripped in the studio during production. By then, he no longer bore any resemblance to the inspired artist behind masterpieces like “The Great Dictator,” “Monsieur Verdoux,” and “Limelight.”

Yet not long after the artistic and commercial failure of “Countess,” Chaplin’s imagination got fired up again when he conceived of “The Freak,” an allegorical fantasy about a young woman born with wings whose condition attracts both the best and worst of humanity. At the age of 80, Chaplin not only wrote a complete script for the film but had wings built, designed sets, oversaw a shooting schedule and budget, and had an artist storyboard many of the shots.

Kris Bowers and Ben Proudfoot of the 'The Last Repair Shop' attend 96th Oscar Week Events: Live Action Short Film, Documentary Short Film, and Documentary Feature Film at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

“The Freak” got tantalizingly close to production, but Chaplin never shot any footage outside of some tests of the heroine’s wings. One problem, as usual, was financing — the living legend struggled to raise the necessary funds, at one point suffering the indignity of rejection by United Artists, the studio he had co-founded during the silent era. Another was Chaplin’s deteriorating health; though he felt invigorated by the prospect of a new project, his wife Oona feared that the movie’s logistical challenges would kill him and secretly worked to keep the film from ever moving forward.

While it will never be possible to see Chaplin’s final dream project, Sticking Place Books and the Cineteca Bologna have collaborated to give us the next best thing: “Charles Chaplin‘s ‘The Freak’: The Story of an Unfinished Film,” a book that reproduces the final shooting script and provides context with hundreds of documents taken from the Chaplin Archives and newly discovered papers of producer Jerry Epstein. The volume is a treasure trove for Chaplin enthusiasts, containing everything from the auteur’s handwritten script notes and wing designs to production documents and miscellania like a list of film prints Chaplin reserved for personal viewing (among them “Barbarella” and “The Absent-Minded Professor”).

The archival material is organized and annotated by Chaplin biographer David Robinson and editor Cecilia Cenciarelli, who have done essential work here detailing Chaplin’s biggest final burst of creativity. Robinson uses the documentation to provide signposts for a narrative in which he takes the reader step-by-step through Chaplin’s creative process, a valuable endeavor even when related to a never-completed film — maybe even especially for a film that was never completed, as this is the closest we’ll ever come to sharing Chaplin’s final dream along with him.

Anyone who has consumed the Criterion Collection’s indispensable editions of Chaplin masterworks knows he was a unique director with a time-consuming approach that yielded great films only after many false starts and turns down blind alleys. “The Freak” was no exception, and Robinson clearly lays out discarded ideas while tracing the evolution of the script, working from thousands of random pages found among Chaplin’s papers.

The deep dive into Chaplin’s working methods is compelling and illuminating, and the shooting script itself shows that the always politically and philosophically probing Chaplin hadn’t lost any of his fire or originality in his old age. Interviews with two people close to the process — Chaplin’s daughter Victoria, who was slated to play the title character, and storyboard artist Gerald Larn — add a human touch to the tome and confirm the passion and desire that “The Freak” inspired in the octogenarian filmmaker.

For those of us who revere Chaplin, “The Story of an Unfinished Film” is a vital and riveting work of film history and scholarship — for the uninitiated, it’s a great introduction to the obsessive working methods of one of the 20th century’s true cinematic geniuses.

“Charles Chaplin’s ‘The Freak’: The Story of an Unfinished Film” is currently available from Sticking Place Books.

Alex Vesia is a family man first. While the MLB player is known for being a Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, he prioritizes his life with his wife, Kayla, above his career. The couple have been together since 2019, and they’ve shared their milestones with social media followers, including Kayla’s pregnancy journey. As fans grapple with the news of Alex’s absence from the 2025 World Series, many have asked if the couple already have children.

Below, learn more about Alex’s family and his life with Kayla.

How Did Alex Vesia & His Wife Meet?

In a January 2023 TikTok post, Kayla said that she and Alex first met at a dessert shop years prior and talked for “hours.” At some point down the road, the couple made their relationship official and celebrated their third anniversary together in April 2022, as seen in an Instagram post on Alex’s account.

That November, Alex proposed to Kayla.

When Did Alex Vesia & Kayla Get Married?

Alex and Kayla got married in January 2024. Calling it the “best day of [their] lives” in an Instagram post, the then-newlyweds thanked their guests for attending.

“We couldn’t have planned for a better day it was everything we dreamed of and more,” Alex and Kayla wrote in a joint Instagram post. “Very thankful for everyone who traveled and made time to celebrate us! LOVE YA’LL -The Vesias.”

Does Alex Vesia Have Children?

No, Alex does not have any children, but he and Kayla announced they were expecting their first baby together in 2025. Up until mid-October 2025, Kayla had been sharing Instagram photos of her growing baby bump and her supporting Alex as he and the Dodgers moved onto the World Series.

However, Alex went on hiatus right before the World Series began. The Dodgers wrote in a public statement, “It is with a heavy heart that we share that Alex Vesia is away from the team as he and his wife, Kayla, navigate a deeply personal family matter. The entire Dodgers organization is sending our thoughts to the Vesia family, and we will provide an update at a later date.”

The Dodgers’ manager, Dave Roberts, told reporters that the team was “anticipating” Alex being off the roster for the World Series “unless something unforeseen happens.”

“I think we exhausted a couple different options, but just considering obviously what he’s going through and baseball’s certainly on the backburner, so I just think that’s the right process that we as an organization [thought] was probably the best way to handle it,” Dave said, according to Dodgers Nation. “And to be quite honest, I don’t know a lot of what went into it.”

Who Is Rudy Mancusco? 5 Things to Know About Camila Mendes’ Fiance – Hollywood Life

Rudy Mancuso may have started by making people laugh on Vine, but he didn’t stay in the digital sandbox for long. The multi-talented musician, actor, and filmmaker has turned his online fame into a full-blown Hollywood career, directing and starring in the Amazon Studios film Música. While working on the project, he met Riverdale alum Camila Mendes — and their connection quickly turned personal.

After more than two years together, the couple took the next step in their relationship with a romantic proposal on October 24, 2025. According to a source, per PEOPLE, it all happened during a surprise engagement party, where “Rudy proposed to her in front of their family and friends.” The celebration continued later that night at Glen Powell’s tracksuit-and-tequila-themed birthday party.

Learn more about the multi-talented creator who captured Mendes’ heart, below.

He First Rose to Fame on Vine

Mancuso initially built his following on Vine in early 2013, creating short, comedic sketches that blended music and culture. His transition to YouTube saw him amass millions of subscribers and billions of views.

He’s a Musician, Actor, and Filmmaker

Mancuso is a true multi-hyphenate — a self-taught musician who, as he told Billboard, “walked over to the piano when I was just about 5 and started playing.”

“I think it made sense to me,” he added.

He Directed and Starred in Música With Camila Mendes

In his feature-film debut, Mancuso wrote, directed, starred in, and composed the soundtrack for the coming-of-age story Música, which also features Mendes.

In a 2024 PEOPLE interview, Mancuso reflected on the creative connection that sparked between them while making the movie, saying, “It’s safe to say there was chemistry from the moment we met, and it certainly was visible onscreen.”

He’s of Brazilian and Italian Descent

Mancuso was born and raised in New Jersey, but spent part of his childhood in Rio de Janeiro—his mother is Brazilian and his father Italian-American. He is fluent in Portuguese.

He and Camila Mendes Made Their Red Carpet Debut in 2023

Mancuso and Mendes went public with their relationship on Valentine’s Day 2023 after meeting while filming Música. That same year, they began appearing together at major events, including their red carpet debut. During a January 2023 appearance on the Going Mental podcast, Mendes spoke about the early stages of their romance, saying she was still in the “honeymoon phase.” “I think I’m gonna keep it that way for now,” she shared about keeping things private. “Because the thing is, I love so hard when I love that I always want to show off my lover… I get so mushy gushy with that [stuff].”

The world’s most famous museum just became the scene of one of Europe’s boldest crimes. Authorities in France are investigating a daring daylight robbery at the Louvre Museum in Paris that left priceless Napoleon-era jewels missing. Suspects have now been arrested in connection with the heist—one near Paris and another while attempting to flee the country—as police continue to search for more accomplices and the stolen treasures.

Learn what’s been revealed so far about the suspects, how the robbery unfolded, and the latest updates in the investigation below.

How Did the Louvre Heist Happen?

The brazen robbery occurred on October 19, 2025 at about 9:30 a.m., just after the museum opened.

Thieves, disguised as construction workers in high-visibility vests, drove a truck with an extendable ladder to reach a second-floor balcony of the Apollo Gallery via the Seine façade. They used power tools—an angle grinder and other equipment—to cut a window, broke into two display cases containing Napoleonic-era crown jewels and escaped on motorbikes in what French officials described as a “professional” operation lasting only seven minutes.

Investigators found DNA traces on a helmet and glove left at the scene, giving them a strong forensic lead.

Who Are the Louvre Heist Suspects?

As of late October, two men in their 30s have been arrested in connection with the theft, French police confirmed to Reuters. One was apprehended at Charles de Gaulle Airport while trying to leave the country; the other was arrested in Seine-Saint-Denis.

Both men are reportedly known to authorities for previous criminal activity. Law enforcement officials told local outlets they believe the pair are part of a larger, organized network that may include additional accomplices still at large.

How Much Money Did the Louvre Thieves Steal?

The thieves made off with eight or so pieces of historical Crown Jewels from the Apollo Gallery, estimated to be worth approximately €88 million (about US $100 million) in total.

One of the stolen items—a crown once worn by Empress Eugénie—was recovered later outside the museum, broken.
