Here’s everything to know about Leon Thomas III, from his early days and creative collaborations today.

He Got His Start on Broadway as a Child

Leon began performing at a young age, showing his talent long before he became a familiar face on TV. Born on August 1, 1993, in Brooklyn, New York, he made his Broadway debut at just 10 years old as Young Simba in The Lion King.

He went on to appear in several stage productions, including Caroline, or Change and The Color Purple, earning early praise for his powerful vocals and stage presence — skills that would later define his music career.

He Rose to Fame on Nickelodeon’s Victorious

Leon became a household name after landing the role of Andre Harris on Nickelodeon’s hit series Victorious, which ran from 2010 to 2013. His character — a talented musician and loyal best friend to Tori Vega (played by Victoria Justice) — showcased Leon’s real-life musical ability, as he often performed original songs on the show. The role not only made him a fan favorite but also helped him transition naturally into a recording and producing career after the series ended.

He’s Nominated at the 2026 Grammys

Leon’s hard work in music has officially paid off. His 2024 album MUTT earned him multiple Grammy nominations at the 2026 Grammy Awards, including nods for Best Progressive R&B Album and Best R&B Performance. The project has been praised for blending neo-soul, alternative, and modern R&B influences, solidifying Leon as one of the most exciting new voices in the genre.

He’s Also an Acclaimed Songwriter and Producer

Outside of his own music, Leon is a Grammy-winning producer and songwriter with credits spanning some of today’s biggest hits. As part of the production duo The Rascals, he has co-written and produced tracks for Grande, Post Malone, Kehlani, and Giveon. Most notably, he earned a Grammy Award for his work on SZA’s hit single “Snooze.”

He’s Collaborated With Artists Like Drake and SZA

Leon’s creative fingerprints are all over modern R&B and hip-hop. He collaborated with Drake on the song “Pipe Down” from the rapper’s 2021 album Certified Lover Boy and has continued working closely with SZA, contributing both vocals and production to several of her projects.

An Engaging and Potentially Profitable Form of Modern Entertainment – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 November 8, 2025
written by jummy84

Mobile games, whether puzzles, social casino games, or another format, have become a dominant force in the entertainment industry. Mobile gaming made up 49% of the video games market in 2024, followed by 28% for console games and 23% for PC games; generating about $92 billion in revenue, mobile games alone were more profitable than the music and film industries combined.

The popularity of mobile gaming is as undeniable as its profitability, and the industry’s rise to the top of the entertainment market provides insight into what users expect from innovation and engagement moving forward. As a whole, the mobile gaming industry shows how technical advancements, changing user behavior, and a shift toward social and accessible entertainment can have an impact on the market.

Insight Into the Rise of Mobile Gaming

As it stands, the global mobile gaming market is positioned to reach or surpass $126 billion by the end of this year. By 2030, the market could exceed $164 billion and include upwards of two and a half billion users. While the majority of revenue is expected to be generated in the United States, mobile gaming is a phenomenon in China and the majority of the world with no clear equal in the entertainment industry.

The emergence of casual and social games on mobile devices has significantly contributed toward this industry trend. This is especially the case for social casino games and apps with similar technology, which leverage the potential of gambling mechanics to create engaging gameplay without necessarily including monetary elements. Ultimately, user retention is a critical aspect of mobile gaming’s success.

“With the increasing cost of attracting new players,” an article read, “developers must find more efficient ways to engage and retain users. The challenge extends beyond just getting users to download the game; it also involves keeping them actively engaged, invested, and making purchases over time.”

Innovation Contributes to Improvement in Engagement

The past few years have seen significant innovation within and surrounding the mobile gaming industry. In addition to this, advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) technology are contributing toward user experiences as well as industry optimization. Some of the most notable developments in mobile gaming include the introduction of 5G capabilities, improved graphics processors in most leading devices, as well as cloud gaming solutions.

Outside of mobile platforms, the integration of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) devices has created new possibilities in the mobile gaming industry. Players who have been able to secure AR or VR goggles have also been introduced to new methods of interacting with mobile content and the digital environment. Certainly, innovation and affordability in this space could contribute toward industry change.

AI technology has found its way into numerous global industries, and mobile gaming is no exception to the trend. Developers are actively integrating AI into their own processes and their final products. One of the most compelling applications of AI is that the technology may be able to personalize a game experience, thereby optimizing retention and contributing toward a game’s profitability.

The Social Element of Mobile Gaming

From leaderboards to multiplayer, community events to rewards systems, games that integrate some form of social interaction tend to find more success than the alternative. After all, games have become a new way for individuals to maintain social connections outside of in-person engagement. If a game doubles as a social platform and benefits from the accessibility of a mobile device, it is likely to stick.

“When people with a shared interest can come together in a multiplayer game, there is potential for positive, prosocial interaction among them both in the game and outside of it,” a paper stated.

Free-to-Play Monetization Strategy

The majority of contemporary mobile games attempt to include some form of multiplayer element, as well as a free-to-play model. This creates a high level of accessibility for players, while offering optional in-app purchases to acquire digital assets or more fully enjoy the game. Additionally, advertisements and battle passes create opportunities for revenue generation without disrupting gameplay.

The Future of Mobile Gaming

As mobile games expand their market dominance, the future of the industry has significant potential. Mobile-first game design prioritizes accessibility for the majority of players, while short sessions and intuitive user interfaces attempt to optimize the user experience. Additionally, innovations in cross-platform play empower mobile gamers to enjoy console and PC-restricted titles. Certainly, the mobile games industry is positioned for continued growth.

Taylor Swift is one of the most influential, revolutionary and decorated music artists in the business. With countless accolades and a collection of fan-favorite albums in her portfolio, Swifties couldn’t wait to hear what Taylor was nominated for at the 2026 Grammy Awards. But when the Recording Academy didn’t say her name during its November 7, 2025, nominations announcement, fans wondered whether she was nominated for anything.

Below, find out whether or not Taylor was nominated at the Grammys for her 2025 album, The Life of a Showgirl.

When Are the 2026 Grammy Awards?

The 2026 Grammy Awards will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, on February 1, 2026.

How Can I Watch the 2026 Grammys From Home?

The 2026 Grammy Awards will be live on CBS and available to stream on Paramount+.

Was Taylor Swift Nominated for Life of a Showgirl at the 2026 Grammys?

No, Taylor was not nominated for any 2026 Grammy Awards. She released her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3, 2025, which missed the Recording Academy’s eligibility window.

Why Wasn’t Taylor Swift Nominated for a Grammy in 2026?

In order to be nominated for a Grammy Award next year, an artist had to have released music between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025. Therefore, Taylor’s new album was not eligible for a nomination. The “Fate of Ophelia” artist was not snubbed by the Recording Academy.

Taylor has discussed how crushing it can feel for an artist not to receive an award. During a 2015 interview with Grammy Pro, per E! News, the “Karma” hitmaker revealed how she handled losing the 2014 Album of the Year award.

“I went home, and I cried a little bit, and I got In-N-Out Burger and ate a lot,” Taylor said, pointing out that she skipped the after-parties that year.

However, she acknowledged that artists “don’t make music so we can like win a lot of awards.”

“But you have to take your cues from somewhere if you’re going to continue to evolve,” the “Fearless” artist explained. “You have a few options when you don’t win an award. For one, you can decide like, ‘Ugh, they’re wrong. They all voted wrong.’ Second, you can be like, ‘I’m gonna go up on the stage and take the mic from whoever did win it,’ or third, you can say, ‘Maybe they’re right. Maybe I did not make the record of my career. Maybe I need to fix the problem,’ which was that I have not been making sonically cohesive albums.”

How Many Grammys Has Taylor Swift Won?

Taylor has 14 Grammy Awards under her belt, with more than 50 nominations altogether. At the 2024 Grammys, she made history by becoming the first artist to win the Album of the Year award four times upon the release of Midnights.

Taylor will likely be nominated in at least one category at the 2027 Grammys.

5 Places A-List Celebrities Have Invested Their Money – Hollywood Life

by jummy84 November 7, 2025
written by jummy84

When you think of celebrities, your mind might jump to red carpets, designer outfits, and lavish lifestyles. But behind the glitz and glamour, many stars are savvy investors who know how to make their money work for them. From real estate to digital currencies, celebrities are diversifying their portfolios far beyond the entertainment industry. Here are five popular investment avenues where famous names are putting their fortunes.

1. Real Estate: The Tried-and-True Investment

Real estate remains one of the most popular and stable investments for celebrities. Many stars see property as both a luxury and a financial strategy.

Oprah Winfrey, for instance, owns multiple estates across the U.S., including a $100 million property portfolio in California. Leonardo DiCaprio invests in eco-friendly developments, blending sustainability with profit. Even music moguls like Jay-Z and Beyoncé have turned to real estate, owning a string of luxury homes and investment properties.

Real estate offers long-term value growth, tax advantages, and rental income—making it a smart move for those with capital to spare.

2. Nightlife Businesses: Clubs, Bars, and Casinos

Many celebrities have turned their passion for fun and entertainment into profitable ventures in the nightlife scene.

Drake co-owns the trendy Toronto nightclub History, a favourite spot for musicians and fans alike. Mark Wahlberg has invested in bars and restaurant chains like Wahlburgers, combining hospitality with brand identity. Many big-name stars like Ben Affleck, Bruce Willis and George Clooney have dipped their toes in the casino industry, and Mr Luck has taken a deep dive into these ventures within a recent article.

These investments not only generate revenue but also help stars strengthen their personal brands through lifestyle marketing.

3. Stock Market: From Screen to Stocks

While it may not sound glamorous, the stock market is a favourite for financially savvy celebrities.

Ashton Kutcher is well-known for his early investments in companies like Airbnb, Uber, and Spotify. Jessica Alba turned her acting success into entrepreneurship, launching The Honest Company, which later went public. Jay-Z and Nas are also frequent investors in tech startups, proving that the right stock or startup can multiply wealth faster than fame ever could.

These stars treat the market like a long-term wealth-building tool, leveraging their connections and business instincts.

4. Cryptocurrency: Riding the Digital Wave

Cryptocurrency has captured the attention of a new generation of investors, including Hollywood and music elites.

Elon Musk’s influence on crypto markets is legendary, but he’s far from alone. Snoop Dogg and Paris Hilton have been vocal supporters of blockchain and NFT projects. Tom Brady and Reese Witherspoon have also invested in crypto-related ventures, signalling that digital assets are no longer fringe.

While volatile, crypto offers celebrities a chance to stay ahead of the curve, and sometimes, to align with cutting-edge technology trends.

5. Art: A Blend of Passion and Profit

Art collecting is another favoured investment, merging personal taste with financial upside.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé reportedly have an impressive contemporary art collection worth millions. Leonardo DiCaprio often attends art auctions, acquiring pieces that appreciate over time. Even athletes like Serena Williams invest in art, viewing it as both cultural preservation and financial diversification.

Fine art investments can yield significant returns, especially for celebrities with an eye for talent and access to elite art markets.

Final Thoughts

Celebrities today are more than entertainers; they’re entrepreneurs, investors, and trendsetters. From tangible assets like real estate and art to modern ventures in crypto and tech stocks, stars are proving that financial success doesn’t end with fame. These diverse investments not only build their wealth but also shape industries and inspire fans to think beyond traditional income streams.

The King of Pop’s story is coming to life on the big screen — and it’s staying in the family. Jaafar Jackson, the 29-year-old nephew of Michael Jackson, is set to portray his legendary uncle in the upcoming biopic Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua and produced by Graham King, the Oscar-winning producer behind Bohemian Rhapsody and The Departed.

Production on the film began earlier this year, with a worldwide theatrical release scheduled for April 24, 2026. Early photos from the set show Jaafar’s striking resemblance to his uncle, capturing the energy and charisma that defined Michael’s career.

So, who is Jaafar Jackson? Here’s what you need to know about Jaafar below.

1. Jaafar will play Michael Jackson in a new biopic.

Antoine Fuqua confirmed Jaafar’s casting on January 30, 2023 He posted a behind-the-scenes photo of Jaafar in rehearsals for the Michael Jackson biopic. “Proud to announce @jaafarjackson as Michael — the motion picture event that explores the journey of the man who became the King of Pop. Coming soon,” Antoine wrote on Instagram.

Jaafar shared the same photo on his Instagram and wrote, “I’m humbled and honored to bring my Uncle Michael’s story to life. To all the fans all over the world, I’ll see you soon.”

Michael’s estate has given the rights to his musical catalog. The upcoming biopic will “not shy away from the controversies of Jackson’s life, the pedophile accusations that haunted his latest years up to his death in 2009 at age 50, from cardiac arrest caused by a cocktail of sedatives,” according to Deadline.

2. Jaafar is Jermaine Jackson’s son.

Jaafar is one of Jermaine’s 7 kids. Jaafar was born in 1996 to Jermaine, Michael’s older brother, and Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza. Alejandra notably dated Jermaine’s younger brother, Randy, and also had two kids with him. Jermaine and Alejandra were married from 1995 to 2003.

3. Jaafar can sing and dance like his uncle.

Back in 2019, Jaafar released the music video for his song “Got Me Singing.” He proves that the Jackson family’s talents are still running in the family. Jaafar shows off his vocals and dancing skills in the music video. He started his music career at 12 years old and can play the piano, according to his IMDb profile.

4. The biopic will mark Jaafar’s acting debut.

Jaafar has appeared as himself in a number of family-oriented projects, including The Jacksons: Next Generation and Tito Jackson’s music video in 2021. Playing his uncle in the biopic will be his first onscreen role.

5. Jaafar initially wanted to be a professional golfer.

Before he started his music career, Jaafar had aspirations of being a professional golfer. However, after being surrounded by his talented family, he soon followed in his family’s footsteps and became an entertainer.

At just six-years-old, he burst onto the scene as a member of The Jackson Five, where he rose to stardom with hits like “ABC” and “I Want You Back.” He started a solo career in 1971 and skyrocketed into superstardom on his own with his 1982 bestselling album Thriller — which went on to become a timeless classic (along with his other music) all of which are the basis for the current Broadway show MJ: The Musical. After Thriller, Michael scored many more hits on his own, but the foundation was laid alongside his brothers in The Jackson Five, and many of his other siblings went on to successful careers in their own rights.

Coming from the show-biz family, Michael had a strong bond with his siblings growing up, especially in the intensely busy musical group. “Well, you don’t get to do things that other children get to do, having friends and slumber parties and buddies. There were none of that for me. I didn’t have friends when I was little. My brothers were my friends,” he once said, via BrainyQuote. While Michael died in 2009 at age 50 almost of all of his siblings are still alive to continue his legacy, as well as his children Prince, Paris, and Blanket, who all speak of him often.

Now, Michael’s extraordinary life and career are being brought to the big screen in the highly anticipated biopic Michael— starring his nephew, Jaafar Jackson, in the role of the King of Pop.

Find out more about all of his brothers and sisters here.

Joe and Katherine Jackson’s eldest child Rebbie was born in 1950. Even though she’s the oldest of her siblings, she wasn’t the first to start performing publicly. She didn’t join her siblings onstage until the 1970s, when she’d join her brothers onstage in Las Vegas, via Biography. Under the name Rebbie Jackson, she started a solo career in the 1980s, with her debut album Centipede dropping in 1984 featuring a title track of the same name. Notably, the song “Centipede” — her biggest hit to date — was also written by Michael. She then released Reaction in 1986 and and R U Tuff Enuff in 1988.

In 1968, she married Nathaniel Brown, whom she’d been childhood sweethearts with. Unfortunately, Nathaniel died in 2013, but the pair had three children together, including Austin Brown, who’s a successful musician himself. Austin has performed on songs with major artists like Jojo and Ariana Grande.

Sigmund Esco “Jackie” Jackson

The eldest of the Jackson brothers Sigmund (better known as Jackie Jackson) was born in 1951. He was one of the founding members of the Jackson Five, and he was also one of the band’s lead singers, due to his high-pitched, tenor singing voice. Jackie later released two solo albums, first a self-titled album in 1973 and a sophomore album in 1989, called Be The One. Most recently, he dropped a collaboration with the musician Brezz titled Big City After Dark in 2007. He’s also produced film soundtracks for movies like Touch and Go and The Running Man, according to his bio. He’s also stayed in the music industry as a producer.

Born Toriano Adaryll Jackson on October 15, 1953, in Gary, Indiana, Tito Jackson was the third son in the Jackson family. The renowned singer and guitarist from The Jackson 5 and later The Jacksons sadly passed away at the age of 70 on Sunday, September 15. According to Entertainment Tonight., he suffered an apparent heart attack while driving from New Mexico to Oklahoma.

As detailed in his bio, Tito was encouraged by his father, Joe, to form a band with his brothers after a performance mishap. This led him to embark on a musical career that spanned several decades. While his siblings pursued solo careers, Tito also ventured into a solo career, performing and touring blues and funk music worldwide. He toured with the BB King Blues Band on notable tours in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Tito released two solo albums: Tito Time in 2016, which featured R&B and soul music, and Under Your Spell in 2021, which focused on blues.

Tito remained active with The Jacksons, touring this summer alongside his brothers Jackie and Marlon, as well as his son Taryll Adren Jackson.

Earlier this week, while in Munich, Germany, Tito and The Jacksons visited a memorial dedicated to their late brother Michael. Tito shared on Facebook, “We’re deeply grateful for this special place that honors not only his memory but also our shared legacy. Thank you for keeping his spirit alive.”

Tito is survived by his three sons—Taj, Taryll, and TJ—who were part of the R&B group 3T, formed in 1994 and managed by their father. He is also survived by his numerous grandchildren.

His ex-wife, Delores “Dee Dee” Martes, passed away in 1994.

Jermaine La Juane Jackson

Katherine gave birth to Jermaine in 1954. While Michael is probably the best-known member of the Jackson Five, Jermaine had significant singing contributions to some of the group’s biggest hits. He controversially left the band in 1976, when his brothers signed with CBS, and he remained with Motown Records, according to his bio. He went back to the band in 1984. Still relatively early in the Jacksons’ career, he released a self-titled solo album in 1972, and he’s released numerous albums under his own name since then, with the most recent being 2012’s I Wish You Love.

LaToya Yvonne Jackson

The second Jackson daughter LaToya was born in May 1956. Like her siblings, her career started with backup vocals for The Jackson Five, but she’s also been one of the most outspoken critics of her family. She accused her father of abuse in her 1991 memoir La Toya: Growing Up In The Jackson Family, via AllMusic. LaToya and her family’s disputes came in the midst of her marriage to her former manager Jack Gordon, via The New York Times. LaToya claimed that her ex was abusive in a 2013 interview with HuffPost.

Like her siblings, LaToya also embarked on a solo career outside of The Jackson Five, starting with a self-titled album in 1980. Her most recent release was an EP titled Starting Over in 2011. Even more recently, LaToya was one of the contestants in the first season of The Masked Singer, where she was the Alien, via IMDb.

Marlon David Jackson

Marlon and his twin brother Brandon were born in 1957. Marlon was incredibly close with his brother Michael. During the Thriller singer’s funeral in 2009, Marlon gave a tearful eulogy, where he said that Michael was the “soul” of the family. While Marlon was a member of the Jackson Five, he only released one solo album, 1987’s Baby Tonight. Marlon pursued more business-oriented ventures, founding the Major Broadcasting Cable Network in 1999, which later became the Black Family Channel, which was sold in 2007, via his bio.

Brandon Jackson

Brandon, Marlon’s twin, died very shortly after birth due to respiratory failure. When Michael passed away, Marlon mentioned Brandon in his eulogy, saying, “I would like for you to give our brother, my twin brother, Brandon, a hug for me.”

Steven Randall “Randy” Jackson

The youngest Jackson brother Randy was born in 1961, and he didn’t join his brothers in the Jackson Five until 1971, when he played congas with the band. He became an official member in 1976, when the group left Motown for CBS, per his bio. He started a band called Randy & The Gypsys, which released a self-titled album in 1989, but then broke up. Randy has stayed in the industry, but mostly on the business side, after the Jacksons broke up. He co-founded Total Multi-Media Inc. in 1990, with the goal of improving education and entertainment technology. He also bought and became president of Modern Records in 1998. In 2018, he co-founded Rhythm Nation Records with his sister Janet, which was focused on independent releases, per his website.

Janet Damita Jo Jackson

The youngest Jackson sibling, Janet, was born in 1966. Aside from Michael, she may be the most well-known of her siblings. She released several beloved albums in the 1980s and 90s, including Control, Rhythm Nation 1814, and Janet, which are now regarded as classics. She has continued to release music consistently over the years, with her last  album being Unbreakable in 2015.

In her 2021 documentary series, Janet Jackson passionately defended her older brother against sexual assault allegations, reigniting debate about the controversial case. She asserted, “My brother would never do something like that, but I’m still guilty by association — because that’s what they call it, right?” Janet also expressed her firm belief in his innocence, stating, “I could never see him commit that sort of crime. I know my brother. He didn’t have that in him.”

On social media, the “Go Deep” singer has also remembered her brother with sweet throwback photos showing their deep bond and close connection. On the 13th anniversary of his death in 2022, she shared a sweet photo of the two when they were both in their 20s, seemingly posing on a hotel or building balcony. No caption was necessary as she left a white heart as the caption, sending love to him above. LaToya Jackson posted a similar sentiment on the 8th anniversary of his death, writing, “We all love and miss you.”

In January 2022, Janet was featured in the high-profile documentary series Janet Jackson, which provided an in-depth look at her life, career, and challenges. The series was well-received by both fans and critics. In 2023, Janet embarked on her Together Again Tour, marking her first major tour in over a decade. The tour celebrated her extensive catalog of hits and connected her with fans worldwide.

Joh’Vonnie Jackson

Outside of his siblings, Michael also had a half-sister Joh’Vonnie, whom Joe had with a woman he had an affair with named Cheryl Terrell in 1974. While she’s technically Michael’s half sister, Joh’Vonnie revealed that she didn’t have a strong relationship with the Jackson family in a 2018 interview with DailyMail, where she claimed she was “hidden away” and “kept secret” and never fully accepted. “I have met every single last one of them, but for some reason there has always been something stopping them from accepting me, from being close to me,” she said at the time. “Of course when I was around them there was a show of love, but once I was gone there was no phone calls asking how I’m doing or how is my daughter doing, it’s upsetting, real hurtful and I still feel rejected.”
