Virginia Roberts Giuffre, known for her bravery in suing Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and Prince Andrew, died in April 2025 by suicide. The news came a month after the 41-year-old publicly claimed she had been distanced from her children and that they had been “poisoned with lies,” though it’s still unclear what she meant by her statement. Moreover, Virginia said she had been hit by a bus and was diagnosed with kidney failure while hospitalized in March 2025.

Below, learn about Virginia’s family, including her children.

Who Is Virginia Giuffre?

Virginia was the first survivor of Jeffrey’s to reveal her identity. She was initially known as Jane Doe in her lawsuit against him and his co-conspirator, Ghislaine. According to her 2009 lawsuit, Virginia claimed that Ghislaine approached her in 2000 to recruit her into their sex-trafficking ring. She accused Ghislaine of disguising her work with her and Jeffrey as a traveling masseuse, meanwhile they had groomed her into performing sexual services for wealthy men.

“Ghislaine told me that I have to do for Andrew what I do for Jeffrey,” Virginia said.

Who Is Virginia Giuffre’s Husband?

Virginia was married to her estranged husband, Robert Giuffre, from 2002 until early 2025, when they reportedly separated. It’s unclear what led to the couple’s split. In the past, Virginia had shared affectionate posts with Robert via Instagram. In December 2023, they celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary, and she credited Robert with saving her from Jeffrey and Ghislaine’s sex-trafficking ring.

“Me & my happily ever after,” Virginia captioned the post at the time. “21 years ago this amazing man rescued me from Epstein & Maxwell’s clutches. I thank God everyday for putting this beautiful man in my life! I love you Robbie G [sic].”

Virginia Giuffre’s Children

Virginia was a mother to three children, all of whom she shared with Robert. The family kept the Giuffre children away from the public eye, but Virginia shared photos of her kids to Instagram one month before she died. In her carousel post, Virginia claimed that her children had been “poisoned with lies” and that she hadn’t seen them.

“My beautiful babies have no clue how much I love them, and they’re being poisoned with lies,” she wrote in her caption. “I miss them so very much. I have been through hell & back in my 41 years, but this is incredibly hurting me worse than anything else. Hurt me, abuse me, but don’t take my babies. My heart is shattered and every day that passes my sadness only deepens.”

Virginia Giuffre’s Cause of Death

According to her family, Virginia died by suicide three weeks after posting to Instagram that she had kidney failure from a car accident and was allegedly given four days to live.

“It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce that Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia,” the Giuffre family told NBC News in a statement. “She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.”

The statement also called Virginia “a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking” and was “the light that lifted so many survivors.”

“In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight,” the statement concluded.

If you or someone you know is in emotional distress or considering suicide, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

Aimee Lou Wood made a name for herself on television. With popular roles on Sex Education and The White Lotus, the English actress paved her way to success, but she wouldn’t have gotten there without her amazing family. After her parents raised Aimee in Greater Manchester, England, she went on to find huge success in film.

In the season 3 finale of The White Lotus (warning: spoilers ahead), Aimee’s character, Chelsea, dies in Rick’s arms after being shot. Fans couldn’t bear to watch their love story crumble once Rick was fatally shot, giving him and Chelsea a heartbreaking send-off.

Off screen, Aimee has been equally open about her personal journey. In Harper’s Bazaar UK, Aimee opened up about how playing Chelsea, her White Lotus character, blurred the line between acting and identity. “It’s not about whether Aimee wants to show her body or not — Chelsea does,” she explained, adding that embodying the role helped her confront her long-standing struggles with body dysmorphia and self-criticism.

Below, learn more about Aimee’s family, including her parents and sister.

Who Is Aimee Lou Wood?

Aimee is an actress who trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She got her start in stage productions before landing her first on-screen role as Aimee Gibbs in Netflix’s Sex Education. She received her first British Academy Television Award for her performance. From there, Aimee steadily landed gigs, including in short films and other theatrical productions.

Who Are Aimee Lou Wood’s Parents?

Not many details are known about Aimee’s parents, as her family tends to keep a private profile despite her fame. Aimee’s mom works for the British counseling service known as Childline, and her dad works as a car dealer. Her parents are divorced, according to several outlets.

Aimee has briefly talked about her parents. She previously revealed that her father innocently texted her about her increasing stardom, which actually made Aimee nervous in the moment.

“My Dad texted me just before I was about to go on stage and said, ‘You’ve got one million followers on Instagram.’ I was like, ‘Dad, it’s not the right time to remind me that I’m quite observed,’” Aimee said. “So, I try not to think it about and just take it day to day and enjoy the experience.”

Does Aimee Lou Wood Have Siblings?

Yes, Aimee’s sister, Emily Wood, is a makeup artist. According to Notion, Emily has worked with Glamour UK and Rollacoaster Magazine.

Aimee Lou Wood’s Net Worth

Aimee has a net worth of $2 million as of 2025, according to Celebrity Net Worth. As for her White Lotus salary, Aimee made about $40,000 per episode, per Celebrity Net Worth.

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ star player Shohei Ohtani has taken on another, equally important role — that of a father! The 30-year-old baseball sensation and his wife, Mamiko Tanaka made the big announcement via Instagram on December 28, 2024. “Can’t wait for the little rookie to join our family soon!” he proudly captioned the post, alongside a photo of their dog Dekopin, a set of pink ruffled baby pajamas, and an ultrasound photo covered by a baby-face emoji. Dekopin, otherwise known as “Decoy,” appeared to be taking the news in stride, laying back with his legs in the air for the sweet snapshot. Shohei and Mamiko welcomed their child, a baby girl, in April 2025.

Ahead of the arrival, here’s what you should about Shohei Ohtani’s wife Mamiko Tanaka and their life together as a married couple.

Who is Shohei Ohtani’s Wife?

According to People, Mamiko Tanaka, 28, is a former pro Japanese basketball player. Per the outlet, early in her career, Tanaka played for Waseeda University. She went on to play professional basketball in 2019, joining the Fujitsu Red Wave of the Women’s Japan Basketball League. She stands tall and graceful at 5’11,” and her career as a pro basketball player spanned four years before she retired in 2023. Perhaps most importantly, she’s proven that Ohtani is not the only talented athlete in the family.

How Long Has Shoehei Ohtani Been Married?

Without naming the date or the bride, Ohtani announced his marriage in a February 29, 2024 Instagram post. “To all my friends and fans throughout, I have an announcement to make: Not only have I began a new chapter in my career with the Dodgers but I also have began a new life with someone from my Native country of Japan who is very special to me and I wanted everyone to know I am now married,” he wrote. “I am excited for what is to come and thank you for your support.” An adorable snap of Dekopin in the corner of the announcement punctuated the good news.

Two weeks later, Ohtani and Tanaka posed with his new wife as they prepared to board a plane to Seoul, South Korea. The Dodgers were on their way to play there, and the team ultimately made the big reveal with a shot on Twitter of Ohtani and Tanaka, as well as a separate photo of Mookie Betts and wife Brianna Hammonds. “Wheels up to Seoul,” the team captioned the post.

Beyond his couple of big announcements, Ohtani has kept his personal life with Tanaka private — the baseball star has shared very little information about his daily life with Tanaka on social media.

Does Shohei Ohtani Have Kids?

In April 2025, Ohtani announced via Instagram that his wife had given birth to a daughter. “I am so grateful to my loving wife who gave birth to our healthy beautiful daughter,” he captioned his post. “To my daughter, thank you for making us very nervous yet super anxious parents.”

According to The Los Angeles Times, Ohtani’s reveal comes amid a year of change, including switching teams from the Angels to the Los Angeles Dodgers. He signed a $700 million contract with the legendary team in December of 2023. He then led the team to its eighth world series title in November of 2024.

In response to the military parade celebrating the 250th anniversary of the US Army but also coinciding with Trump's 79th birthday, a "No Kings" movement has sprung up promising to stage protests in more than 2,000 places across the country, including a large parade expected in Los Angeles which organizers say will feature a "20-foot-tall balloon of Trump wearing a diaper." On June 14, 2025 — Donald Trump’s birthday — he held a military parade honoring the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary, while thousands across the country joined “No Kings” protests against his administration. From Los Angeles to New York City, the demonstrations peaked amid heated clashes over ICE raids and executive overreach.

If you’re unfamiliar with the movement’s goals—or how it’s evolving—here’s what “No Kings” really means below.

How Many ‘No Kings’ Protests Were There?

According to multiple outlets, more than 2,000 “No Kings” protests took place in all 50 states on June 14, 2025.

What Does the ‘No Kings’ Protest Mean?

According to protest organizers, the “No Kings” movement “is a direct response to Donald Trump’s self-aggrandizing $100 million military parade and birthday celebration, an event funded by taxpayers while millions are told there’s no money for Social Security, SNAP, Medicaid, or public schools.”

Organizers added that all “No Kings” mobilizations “adhere to a shared commitment to nonviolent protest and community safety. Organizers are trained in de-escalation and are working closely with local partners to ensure peaceful and powerful actions nationwide.”

The term “No Kings” is also a reference to a leader’s alleged monarchical or authoritarian actions. Actor and activist Mark Ruffalo attended a New York City protest on Saturday and told MSNBC why he and many other celebrities showed up.

“Because we see our democracy is in real trouble,” Mark said. “We see a president who has made himself a king and dictator, and we don’t seen an opposition that’s powerful enough to stand up against the trampling of our rights and the trampling of the Constitution that’s happening every single day with executive orders, with the refusal to obey court orders, kidnapping of immigrants, people who are here legally, people who their children are being taken from them. We’re disgusted and we’re scared, and we know that the only way that — to fight this now is for the people, is to come together.”

Will There Be Another ‘No Kings’ Protest?

Yes, organizers have confirmed a second nationwide “No Kings” protest scheduled for October 18, 2025, with more than 2,500 events planned across all 50 states.

In Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott has activated the National Guard ahead of protests in Austin. Meanwhile, in Salt Lake City, local organizers shifted their plans, canceling a march portion and holding a stationary gathering instead—citing safety concerns from past violence.

The president has received backlash for signing numerous executive orders once he took office in January.

Did Trump Respond to the ‘No Kings’ Protests?

Two days before the “No Kings” rallies took place, Trump told a group of reporters what he thought about the demonstrations.

“I don’t feel like a king,” the president said on June 12. “I have to go through hell to get things approved. Not a king.”

Bad Bunny used his opening monologue on SNL’s Season 51 premiere to fire back at critics of the NFL’s decision to book him for the Super Bowl LX halftime show — particularly those at Fox News.

“I’m very happy. And I think everyone is happy about it — even Fox News,” Bad Bunny said, before cutting to a Fox News clip montage edited to make its anchors appear to say, “Bad Bunny is my favorite musician, and he should be the next president.”

Bad Bunny proceeded to deliver several remarks in Spanish, thanking “Latinos and Latinas in the world here in the United States who have worked to open doors. It’s more than a win for myself, it’s a win for all of us. Our footprints and our contribution in this country, no one will ever be able to take that away or erase it.” Reverting back to English, he quipped, “If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn.”

Queen Latifah is best known for her musical and acting talent and has built quite a successful professional career over the years, but it turns out she’s also a doting mother. The “U.N.I.T.Y.” crooner has one child, a son, that she has been raising in her private life. In addition to being a parent to her son, she previously stepped up into the role of a caregiver to her mom, Rita Owens, after she was diagnosed with a heart condition in 2005.q

“As a caregiver — it’s just like being a parent, like some things really don’t matter,” Queen Latifah told PEOPLE before her mom’s death in 2018. “All the kind of frivolous things sort of fall to the side because there’s something way more important than all that. And when we go through these things together as a family, I realize, these are the important things, these are the important moments.”

Find out more about Queen Latifah’s son and her experience with parenthood below.

Queen Latifah Has One Son

Queen Latifah has one son whom she tries to keep as private as possible, reportedly named Rebel.  “You don’t get that part of me,” she once told The New York Times about her personal life. In 2016, she opened up a bit more when she hinted that she wanted to start a family. “I think I’m ready. I can’t say what God has for me, but you will see. You’ll see when I’m lugging the baby on the hip that there is actually a youngin’ around here,” she told E! Online.

When Did Queen Latifah Become a Mom?

Queen Latifah ended up becoming a mother to her son shortly after she lost her mom in 2018. Once her new role became public, she expressed a desire for giving him siblings.

“I’ve always envisioned myself with a big family, I’m a late bloomer. I’m a late bloomer with a lot of things and you know — nobody’s perfect,” she told PEOPLE Now. “I’m an overachiever in some ways and just like slow as molasses in other ways. I think I kind of needed to grow and mature and get everything kind of taken care of with everything before I was able to really deal with it.”

Although Queen Latifah didn’t become a mom until she was in her late 40s, she had experience with babies in the years prior. One story that shows that is when she helped two women with babies get through airport security in New York in 2017.

“I met the loveliest lady who had like 3 kids with her, one a baby. She was trying to get her stuff together, we were just having a polite conversation and I said, ‘You need me to hold that baby?’ She was like, ‘Would you mind?’ and I’m like, ‘Give me the baby,’ ” she explained. “So I hold that baby while she got everything together with the three kids and stuff and her husband came through and then he took the baby.”

“Then another lady came through with two other kids, husband and a dog and she’s trying to get her boots on,” she continued. “I said, ‘You need me to hold that baby?’ She was like, ‘Would you mind?’ I said, ‘Give me that baby.’ I mean I think I’m a natural at this thing.”

Has Queen Latifah’s Son Ever Been Seen in Public?

Once Queen Latifah became a mom, her son made his first public appearance at a Harlem Globetrotters basketball game at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY with her. He was around 4 years old at the time and sat courtside next to his mom.

Rebel was spotted out on a rare occasion again in 2025 at a WNBA game with his mom.

Queen Latifah Gave Her Son a Shoutout in 2021

When she accepted the BET Lifetime Achievement Award, the loving parent made sure to mention her son in the closing remarks of her speech. “Eboni, my love. Rebel, my love,” she said before adding, “Happy Pride.”
