Summer Walker Launched “Finally Over It” Dump Truck Service Ahead of New Album – Invites Fans to Literally Toss Their Ex’s Stuff

Summer Walker is taking the phrase “out with the old” to a whole new level.

The R&B star unveiled her “Finally Over It Dump Truck Service,” a playful and symbolic pop-up activation inspired by her upcoming album Finally Over It, set for release on November 14, 2025.

In collaboration with YouTube, Walker invited fans to gather at Morehouse College in Atlanta over the weekend to “finally get rid of your ex’s stuff.” The mint-green dump truck — branded with the album’s title — was open to Spelman and Clark Atlanta University students from noon to 2 p.m., with all gently used items donated afterward.

The stunt ties directly to Walker’s Finally Over It rollout — her third project in the “Over It” series, following 2019’s Over It and 2021’s Still Over It . The campaign doubles as a cathartic nod to the emotional cleansing themes behind her new music.

“Taking out the trash since 2017,” one of the event’s posters read — a cheeky reference that fans connected to Walker’s famously candid breakup anthems.

Investigation Launched After Alleged Pepper Spray Incident at Richmond Turnstile Concert

by jummy84 September 28, 2025
written by jummy84

A fan was reportedly pepper-sprayed during a Turnstile concert in Richmond, Virginia last Wednesday, September 24. The Baltimore hardcore band closed their set at Brown’s Island with “Birds” from their new album Never Enough, during which concertgoers are typically invited to join them onstage.

In a video circulated widely by CBS 6 News, one fan attempts to climb onto the stage, at which point they appear to be pepper-sprayed by a sheriff’s deputy. Turnstile bassist Franz Lyons can also be seen covering his eyes and running towards the back of the stage.

On Friday, September 26, Richmond Sheriff Antionette Irving told CBS 6 that the alleged pepper spray incident is currently under investigation. In the same report, a spokesperson for the Richmond City Sheriff’s Office also confirmed that local police department had been handling security at the Turnstile show.

When reached by Pitchfork, the Richmond City Sheriff’s Office offered no further comment. Pitchfork has also reached out to Turnstile’s representatives for for comment.

Turnstile are currently touring North America in support of Never Enough, with support from Speed, Jane Remover, Amyl and the Sniffers, Mannequin Pussy, and Blood Orange. The album was led by the singles “Never Enough,” “Birds,” “Seein’ Stars,” and “Look Out for Me.”

Investigation launched after sheriff’s deputy appears to pepper spray Turnstile fan in Richmond

by jummy84 September 27, 2025

An investigation has been launched after a sheriff’s deputy appeared to pepper spray a Turnstile fan during a show in Richmond.

The Baltimore band played at the Virginia city’s Brown’s Island venue on Wednesday (September 24), and as is customary at their shows, they encouraged fans onto the stage to join them during their performance of ‘Birds’.

In a fan video, a member of security situated at the front of the stage is seen attempting to intercept members of the audience at the same time that the band are inviting them on stage. In one instance, the official appears to brandish a can of pepper spray and fire it directly into the face of one fan. Bassist Franz Lyons, who is stood nearby, is seen to recoil and cover his eyes.

Watch the video here:

Richmond Sheriff Antoinette Irving told CBS 6 News that the incident is now under investigation.

One fan who was in attendance told the same outlet: “I smelled the air getting a little spicy, and then my eyes are watering. I was like, ‘Oh crap, it’s pepper spray’. People were pouring water in people’s eyes to rinse the eyes out. I just kind of took a second to breathe it out. Coughed a bit.”

Turnstile’s US tour kicked off on September 15 in Nashville, where they brought out Paramore’s Hayley Williams for a duet of ‘Seein’ Stars’. They will play around the country for the rest of the autumn, with support to come from SPEED, Jane Remover, Mannequin Pussy, Blood Orange, and Amyl & The Sniffers. See more information about the tour here and find any remaining tickets here.

The band’s latest album is ‘Never Enough’, which received a glowing five-star review from NME, and was also named as one of our best albums of 2025 so far.

Speaking to NME in June, drummer Daniel Fang says the success of 2021’s ‘Glow On’ didn’t create any pressure when making its follow-up. “I don’t know how anyone would have time or the bandwidth to manage outside expectations,” he said. “I don’t think any of us can even fathom that, because there’s an infinite well within everyone [in the band]… I don’t understand how anyone could be guided by that when there’s so much else to work off of.”

They played an acclaimed, moshpit-heavy Glastonbury 2025 set, and will embark on a UK and European tour, which kicks off in Dublin on October 31. See the full list of dates here and find tickets here.

In a five-star review of the Glastonbury set, NME wrote: “This set is what Turnstile are all about – there’s no needless chatter and no projections behind them illustrating what their songs are meant to symbolise. Instead, it simply boils down to the sheer intensity and precision with which they deliver each of their 15 tracks, and the unwavering loyalty they get in return. Get ready for Turnstile to dominate this summer – and beyond.”

Merit and Brandon Maxwell Just Launched the Chicest Collab

by jummy84 September 25, 2025
written by jummy84

I’ve brought my Merit Signature Bag to dinner more times than I can count. While technically a cosmetic bag you receive with your very first purchase, the double-lined brown corduroy pouch is a staple accessory in its own right. Not to mention, it’s essentially a signpost for minimalist-chic beauty fans; Merit, after all, is the go-to brand for a five-minute face. Cue Gisele’s iconic The Devil Wears Prada line: “Are you wearing the—?” The Merit Signature Bag? Yeah, I am.

I didn’t think the pouch could get any more elevated, but leave it to Brandon Maxwell to churn out a brand new classic. Today, Merit announces a collab with the luxury women’s ready-to-wear label, which includes two new must-haves: a limited-edition Lip Blush and a sophisticated black leather Signature Bag. Scroll ahead to discover how to get your hands on each.

(Image credit: Courtesy of Merit Beauty)

Of course, we must begin with the designer accessory. It has a similar shape to the OG iteration, just with a more structured, bucket-shaped silhouette and wrist handle, which is finished with a metal knot detail quintessential of Maxwell’s signature hardware. The vegan leather bag also features a magnetic closure, as opposed to the original Signature Bag, which has a tie top. It’s luxurious, modern, and ultra-exclusive—only available while supplies last—and I suspect it’ll be gone in a flash once it officially launches on October 2.

To snag the soon-to-be-viral staple, all you have to do is spend over $125 on Merit Beauty items (the bag is not available for individual purchase), a relatively easy feat if you (like me) consider yourself a brand loyalist. Consider this a sign to restock the staples you know you’re going to wind up re-buying anyway, such as the Flush Balm, Complexion Stick, Bronze Balm, and Signature Lip. And voilá—the Brandon Maxwell-ified Signature Bag is yours.

While you’re at it, I highly recommend tossing the new Signature Lip Blush into your cart (especially if you need a bit more help reaching $125!). The formula features a blurred, soft-matte finish that adds a sheer kiss of color to the lips. (Imagine if a matte lipstick and tinted balm had a baby—that’s Lip Blush.) The new collab shade is, of course, called Maxwell, which dresses your pout in a rich, swoon-worthy berry. It’s also housed in a limited-edition silver packaging that, for what it’s worth, pairs perfectly with that knot detail on the aforementioned Signature Bag. I can only imagine how chic the two treasures will appear side by side IRL.

For now, sign up for the Lip Blush waitlist and browse my favorite Merit items below so you’re well-prepared to fill your cart as soon as both launches become available. Time is of the essence, friends. I don’t expect them to stay in stock for very long!
