A shocking case of fraud has come to light involving Bollywood writer and filmmaker Honey Irani’s driver. Mumbai Police have registered a case against her driver, Naresh Singh, and a petrol pump employee, Arun Singh, for allegedly misusing fuel cards worth Rs 12 lakh.

Case Against Farhan Akhtar’s Family Driver

As per reports, the driver had been swiping the cards multiple times at a petrol pump in Bandra without actually filling fuel in the vehicles. The scam reportedly went on for several months before it was noticed. 

Honey Irani, who is the mother of actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and director Zoya Akhtar, had issued the fuel cards for her household vehicles. However, the misuse came to light when her staff noticed irregular transactions and unusually high fuel expenses.

According to the FIR (No. 1668/2025) filed at the Bandra Police Station, the complaint was lodged by Irani’s manager, Diya Bhatia, on October 1, 2025. The complaint stated that Naresh Singh, in collusion with petrol pump employee Arun Singh, made repeated transactions using the cards without dispensing fuel, thereby causing a financial loss of around Rs 12 lakh.

The police have booked both under sections of cheating and criminal breach of trust under the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Investigations are currently underway to determine how long the fraud continued and whether more people were involved.

Honey Irani, known for writing films like Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai and Kya Kehna, has not yet issued a public statement regarding the incident. 

The case has drawn attention in Bollywood circles, highlighting how even trusted employees can be involved in financial wrongdoing.

But the centerpiece of the look? A stunning rose gold ring.

According to Kallati, a fine jewellery brand, the 14K rose gold ring features a 35-carat sapphire and a 1-carat diamond, valued at an impressive $27,120 (approximately ₹24 lakh). It perfectly complements the opulent theme of the album.

Set to release on October 3, The Life of a Showgirl is a vibrant departure from the melancholic tones of her previous album, The Tortured Poets Department. Speaking on the New Heights podcast hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce, Swift shared that the album was inspired by the whirlwind experience of her Eras Tour, describing it as “glamorous, chaotic, and alive.”

Following its good opening weekend, Param Sundari opened well by earning ₹26.75 crore in the first three days. On Friday, 29 August, it earned ₹7.25 crore, ₹9.25 crore on Saturday, and ₹10.25 crore on Sunday. After its first week, the film had earned around ₹39 crore from the Indian box office.

Even after starting its second week on a strong note, the film saw the daily collections dipping. The movie made ₹1.75 crore on Day 8, then ₹2 crore on Day 9. There was a marginal improvement on Sunday with ₹2.5 crore, taking the 11-day tally to ₹46.75 crore. Monday, however, witnessed the lowest single-day collection till date, with only ₹75 lakh.

Confronting Stiff Competition in Week 2

The film’s second-week performance has been impacted by the release of other high-profile films, including Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 and Vivek Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files. These new releases have split audience attention, making it harder for Param Sundari to maintain its early pace. Still, with a few more days to go before the weekend, the film is expected to cross the ₹50 crore mark soon.

Param Sundari is the tale of Param (Sidharth Malhotra), a successful Delhi businessman who invests in start-ups. His newest start-up, an AI-based dating app called Soulmates, introduces him to Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor), a culturally connected girl from Kerala who manages a traditional homestay with her uncle, a Kalari Payattu master.

The movie delves into the conflict between modernity and tradition as Param and Sundari reconcile their dissimilarities through a warm and comical tale. Inayat Verma, Sanjay Kapoor, and Manjot Singh play the supporting characters, lending charm and nuance to the movie.

Now, a video of his secretary, Sudhir Salvi, has surfaced on social media in which he is seen posing for the paparazzi while holding the cheque.

They said that a cheque of Rs 11 lakh signed by Amitabh Bachchan has been received. On Amitabh Bachchan giving the cheque, a user said, ‘Bachchan sahab, please adopt 500 flood-affected families. That will be better.’ One wrote, ‘There is no use in donating here. This will not help any poor person.’
