Quentin Tarantino Films Cut ‘Kill Bill’ Scene in Fortnite

by jummy84 November 30, 2025
written by jummy84

If you thought Quentin Tarantino didn’t have even more to add to “Kill Bill” and make the film any longer, think again.

Tarantino is set to release possibly his greatest movie, “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair,” which is a four-plus-hour cut of “Kill Bill” combined as one film, in theaters next month. It includes an un-seen anime sequence that wasn’t even in the original Cannes cut of “Kill Bill,” but that wasn’t the only thing he had previously left on the cutting room floor.

There was yet another chapter of the film that Tarantino wrote for the very first draft of his film, but he trimmed it and the sequence was never filmed. Now, more than 20 years after the release of both “Kill Bill” movies, Tarantino has turned to an unusual means to bring his vision of this lost “Kill Bill” scene to life: the massively popular video game “Fortnite.”

Tarantino using “Fortnite’s” game engine Unreal Engine directed a motion-captured short film that reunites him with Uma Thurman, reprising her role as The Bride. The sequence effectively fills in a gap in the lore of “Kill Bill” that had not previously been seen on screen. So yes, even though the short features Fortnite’s banana character Peely, this new short can be considered canon in Tarantino’s cinematic universe.

The short is called “The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge,” and is set after the Bride takes down the ball-and-chain wielding killer Gogo Yubari. Now, we see the Bride battle Yubari’s twin sister Yuki. After a split-screen sequence of Yuki arriving in Hollywood “Battlewood” and even surveilling The Bride outside Vernita Green’s home, Yuki confronts The Bride, still driving the Pussy Wagon truck, and aims to gun her down.

Battlewood in ‘Fortnite: After Dark’

What ensues is an elaborate shoot-em-up and car chase in which Yuki, in this version, ultimately dies not a bloody death but a blue, pixel-y one before she’s beamed up and set to be respawned, “Fortnite” style.

Unlike an animated sequence that just features Thurman’s voice, Tarantino is actually directing Thurman as dressed and photographed with a motion-capture helmet cam, and her performance and the whole sequence was rendered in Unreal Engine as though it were an in-game cinematic.

“Fortnite” intends to premiere “Yuki’s Revenge” as part of its latest season of gameplay, Chapter 7. “Fortnite” for this new season has a Hollywood theme, and rather than stage a virtual concert in the digital “Fortnite” lobbies as they’ve done before, the “Yuki’s Revenge” scene acts as a brand-new Quentin Tarantino film making its world premiere in the game. Players who log on can watch the film on November 30 at 2 p.m. ET.

Speaking at a special “Fortnite” event from Tarantino’s own Vista Theater in Los Angeles on November 19, Tarantino explained that the reason the Yuki fight scene was cut from his draft was because the movie was already shaping up to be over four hours long, and it was too much to have both the Gogo Yubari battle and the Yuki battle in the same film.

‘Fortnite: After Dark’

He clarified that, even though the fight was cut from the film, in his mind, we’re to assume the fight still happened as part of The Bride’s journey, even though we never saw it. In fact, an actual take used in “Kill Bill” outside Vernita’s home has the sound of an ice cream truck jingle in the background, and Tarantino used that take to suggest that someone, in this case Yuki, was secretly watching The Bride all along.

Tarantino was asked at the event if he would ever consider making another film in “Fortnite” or utilizing some other animation techniques in order to create some of the spinoff ideas he’s been teasing over the years, and he suggested there could be some future where it helps him craft an origin story for Bill or a side project about the Vega brothers as seen in “Reservoir Dogs” and “Pulp Fiction.”

While it means that we’ll soon see players running around “Fortnite” Battle Royales in skins as The Bride or Gogo Yubari, Tarantino praised the “Fortnite” team for wanting to help him create something he had lingering, rather than have him come up with something entirely new that featured some of his iconic characters.

“I always wanted it to see the light of day, and now it has,” Tarantino said at the event.

“You and I have unfinished business.” “Baby, you ain’t kidding…” ⚔️ Lionsgate keeps revealing marketing promos for the upcoming Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair release this December. Another 30 second teaser + 2 posters below. This is the definitive, original version of the entire story that Quentin Tarantino envisioned over 20 years ago. As everyone knows, Tarantino’s brutal revenge saga Kill Bill was released in two parts: Kill Bill: Volume 1 in 2003 and Kill Bill: Volume 2 in 2004. Uma Thurman stars as The Bride – an assassin left for dead who miraculously survives then goes on a rampaging revenge tour to get back at her old boss and all of his assassins. Both of them are some of my favorite movies ever made. Also starring Lucy Liu, Vivica A. Fox, Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah, Gordon Liu as Pai Mei, Michael Parks, and David Carradine as “Bill”. Presented exactly as Tarantino intended, complete with a never-before-seen anime sequence, The Whole Blood Affair unites Vol. 1 & 2 into a single, unrated epic. The highly anticipated release marks one of the rare times that the entire epic has been presented as a single, combined film. It’s going to be playing on screens nationwide – a full 4-1/2 hours (with intermission). Get your tickets.

Why Did They Kill off Monty in Landman Season 1? Unpacking His Death – Hollywood Life

Landman has gripped viewers since its inception on Paramount+. After the Taylor Sheridan series aired in November 2024, fans were hooked on the show’s thrills and chills as its characters navigated the dangers of the oil business. But one beloved actor left the show by the end of season 1: Jon Hamm, who played Monty Miller. So, why was his character killed off?

Find out why Monty had to die at the end of Landman‘s first season, here.

What Happened to Monty in Landman Season 1?

Monty’s death isn’t shown on screen, but the production has confirmed that the character died in his hospital bed from his heart attack. He had suffered from multiple heart attacks until the end of his life.

Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) was informed by the season 1 finale that Monty was going to die. So, Monty offered Tommy to take over as president of M-Tex and become the executor of his estate alongside Monty’s wife, Cami (Demi Moore).

Why Isn’t Jon Hamm Coming Back to Landman?

Although the actor is a fan-favorite TV and film star, his character Monty’s death was inevitable in Landman. While speaking with TV Insider in January 2025, co-creator Christian Wallace said they hinted at Monty’s decline throughout the first season.

“Yeah, you kind of drop these little pieces throughout the entire season,” Christian explained “There’s Monty checking his heart rate on his watch or his wife Cami telling him no more coffee, and just little things that were dropped this entire time to kind of let you know that something’s going on so that when it does finally happen, it’s not just completely out of nowhere.”

Christian added, “But you also don’t wanna be too heavy-handed about it and just telegraph that explicitly to the viewers. So, it’s just kind of a matter of trying to strike that balance of letting people know that there’s an issue without making it just the only thing that they can think about.”

When Does Landman Season 2 Premiere?

Season 2 of Landman airs on November 16, 2025, on Paramount+. All new episodes will be released weekly until the season 2 finale in January 2026.

Is There a Season 3 of Landman?

As of now, no — Landman has not been renewed yet for a season 3, but the cast is hopeful about the possibility. During an exclusive November 2025 interview with Hollywood Life, actor Mark Collie teased that there are “more stories to tell.”

“The longer [the show] goes, I’m here because I love it,” Mark said.

From there, Owens stated that she had “verified information.” However, she cannot reveal her source.

“Tyler Robinson is not suicidal. The entire narrative that was placed in the media about him having been suicidal is completely fictional, as are many other aspects of what we have been told… His father having “turned him in after a confession” is also complete fiction. To the contrary, Tyler Robinson maintains his innocence and has never even been to the UVU campus,” she wrote.

Furthermore, Owens asserted that there are “absolutely zero photos or video” from the campus that can show Robinson was ever there.

“Which is why they have produced nothing other than a blurry image which Tyler’s family knows is not him,” she continued. “…The federal government is lying about absolutely everything except for the fact that it is her gun…”

When Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood actor Lakshya spoke about him after Kill screening: ‘Perfect example of…’

As we wait to see Lakshya in Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood, a throwback video of him talking about Shah Rukh Khan’s son goes viral

Like Shanaya Kapoor, Lakshya is one newcomer whose Bollywood debut kept getting pushed. He was initially going to begin his journey with Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aaryan’s Dostana 2, but the project was shelved. Karan Johar then announced Lakshya as one of the leads, alongside Shanaya, in Bedhadak. But that film was also shelved. In 2024, Lakshya finally made his Bollywood debut with Kill, leaving a lasting impression on audiences. Up next, he will be seen as the hero of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut show, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. But what does Lakshya think of Shah Rukh Khan’s son?

Aryan Khan with Lakshya and Mona Singh

A year ago, during an interview with Fever FM, Lakshya opened up about his friend and now director Aryan Khan. When asked if he has ever felt a difference between nepo and non-nepo artists, Lakshya shared, “Difference I think bahar waale log zyaada banate hain. Andar kuchh hai nahi. Because aadhe toh mere dost hi hain saare. Janhvi (Kapoor), Shanaya (Kapoor), Ananya (Panday), Agastya (Nanda). Aur itne sahi log hain naa yeh. Itne correct hain, koi complications nahi hai, koi insecurities nahi hain. Apna kaam karte hain aur tameesdaar log hain. Aryan (Khan) humaare dost hain. Aryan was there in the screening and I made him meet my parents. And my father said ‘He doesn’t look like he’s Shah Rukh Khan’s son’. Like woh pair wair (proceeded to make the gesture of touching feet), matlab he’s just a perfect example of how a boy should be.”

Raghav Juyal, who was the villain of Kill and will be seen as Lakshya’s best friend in Aryan’s show, chimed in and added, “Bohot tehzeeb, usse naa bohot culture diya hua hai Aryan ko.” Well, clearly Aryan not only won his star cast over with a well-written show, but also his charming personality.

Also starring Bobby Deol and Sahher Bambba in the lead with epic cameos by Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar, Aryan’s show The Ba***ds of Bollywood is set to arrive on Netflix on September 18.
