However, a section of netizens recently questioned his wife, actress Akanksha Chamola, for not publicly supporting him on social media. In response to the backlash, Akanksha shared a touching note for Gaurav on Karwa Chauth 2025.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Akanksha posted a collage of their pictures over the years and expressed her emotions in a light-hearted yet heartfelt message. She wrote, “As you very well know that I am probably the last person to miss anyone. But aaj for a change, I miss you. Yours sincerely, bhooki pyaasi.” She added, “Us thru the lens of time,” along with a Karwa Chauth sticker, showcasing her affection and support in her own unique way.

This post came after several fans flooded her social media comments, asking why she hadn’t publicly supported Gaurav since his entry into the reality show. One fan asked, “Why don’t you say about Gaurav?” while another commented, “Not even a single post to motivate GK fans.” Despite the criticism, Akanksha’s recent post seems to have silenced many detractors, showing that her support may not always be loud but is deeply felt.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed during a frightening home invasion earlier this year, an incident that shook both fans and the film industry. The attack happened on the night of January 16th, when an intruder broke into Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence in Mumbai. The man entered the room of their younger son, Jeh, and in a bid to escape, stabbed Saif multiple times. Saif was rushed to the hospital, where surgeons removed a part of the knife from his body.

However, questions and rumors about the authenticity of the attack soon surfaced after Saif was seen walking out of the hospital unassisted and looking relatively fit. Many speculated that the incident might have been staged. Now, nine months later, Saif has finally opened up and addressed the situation on Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s talk show, “Too Much.” During the interview, Saif revealed the harrowing details of that night.

He said Kareena was out when the incident took place, and he was with their sons Taimur and Jeh after watching a movie. Around 2 a.m., the maid informed him that an intruder was in Jeh’s room, holding a knife and demanding money. Saif described how he rushed into the room and confronted the man, who swung the knife wildly, injuring both Jeh and the nanny. A fierce struggle ensued, and Saif was stabbed multiple times, including a wound near his spine.

Saif credited Jeh’s nanny for saving his life by pushing the attacker away. Despite the pain, Saif reassured his son Taimur that he would survive. After the attacker fled, Kareena planned to take the children to Karisma Kapoor’s house, but Saif insisted on going to the hospital, even requesting a stretcher upon arrival. Addressing the rumors, Saif said he walked out of the hospital because he wanted to reassure fans and avoid unnecessary panic. “There was no need for a wheelchair,” he explained, adding that although walking was painful, he was physically capable. Saif also shared that his mother, Sharmila Tagore, advised him to use a wheelchair, but he chose not to.

Pictures and videos of Kajol, Rani and Twinkle were shared by paparazzi pages on Instagram. While Kajol and Twinkle chose tissue silk sarees for the celebrations, Rani complemented them in a silk saree in a vibrant red shade, the colour of Maa Durga. Let’s decode their traditional looks:

Rani’s red silk saree features intricate gold accents, including a detailed gold brocade embroidery on the pallu, gold scalloped lace borders, and gold sequin embroidery done in vertical lines. She wore the six yards in traditional style, letting the pallu fall from her shoulder in a floor-sweeping length.

A matching red blouse featuring a plunging V-neckline, quarter-length sleeves, gold embroidery on sleeves, and a cropped hem rounded off the ensemble. For accessories, she wore gold jhumkis, a choiker necklace, bangles, and rings. A sleek top knot, a red bindi, winged eyeliner, rouge-tinted cheeks, and a dewy base rounded off the glam.

Lastly, Twinkle chose a vibrant light green saree decorated with gold brocade and lace work, and dark green borders. She completed the traditional attire with a dark green-coloured blouse featuring gold vertical lines, a raised collar, and a V neckline.

For accessories, Twinkle chose gold jhumkis adorned with precious stones. She tied her tresses in a pulled-back, sleep top knot. As for the glam, she chose a red bindi, feathered brows, a dewy base, blushed cheeks, glossy pink lips, and kohl-lined eyes.

​Akshay recalled proposing to Twinkle when her highly anticipated film, Mela, was about to be released. At the time, they were having an affair, but Twinkle was not ready to commit to marriage. “Let’s get married?” Akshay asked. She gave him a condition, stating that she would only marry him if Mela did not do well at the box office. Everyone in the industry, including Twinkle, had full confidence in the film, which featured a star-studded cast and was directed by Dharmesh Darshan. It was considered a guaranteed hit.

​However, as destiny would have it, the film underperformed. “Sorry Aamir Khan sahab, that film of yours didn’t work. But I got married because of you,” Akshay quipped with a laugh, giving a humorous nod to the film’s role in his love story. Their wedding was just as unconventional as the bet itself. They got married on the terrace of a friend’s house in a small, intimate ceremony. Akshay revealed that they were both shooting separately until 6 pm on their wedding day, a testament to their busy professional lives.

​The Jolly LLB 3 actor also revealed their shared love for horror films. “She likes to watch horror films only with me. She feels a little scared, but enjoys it too. But she can’t watch it alone. She always watches with me,” he said. This small, shared passion highlights the simple joys that define their long-lasting relationship. Twinkle, who has since become a successful writer and interior designer, never looked back at her acting career. Her decision to pivot to writing has proven to be a resounding success, and she has never missed the profession she never truly wanted.

​On the work front, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in Priyadarshan’s horror comedy Bhooth Bangla, which is scheduled for release next year.

It began when Baseer Ali asked Gaurav Khanna a seemingly simple question: “Are you happy with your journey in these four weeks?” Instead of keeping things light, the conversation took a sharp turn when Gaurav referenced Baseer’s earlier controversial comment about the “quality of contestants being shit.”

The tension escalated when Kunickaa Sadanand entered the conversation, asking Gaurav about her journey. He called it “amazing,” prompting Kunickaa to admit she had been trying to please everyone but felt she was failing at it.

However, the real showdown was between Baseer and Gaurav. Gaurav accused Baseer of being judgmental, to which Baseer retaliated by calling out Gaurav’s lack of performance. “Should I give you some advice?” Baseer asked sarcastically, adding, “You don’t have the guts to speak in front of everyone.” Kunickaa attempted to de-escalate the situation, reminding Gaurav, “Whatever happens in WKV, leave it there.” But things got worse when their argument shifted to house duties.

Gaurav had earlier pointed out that the bathroom wasn’t clean, leading Baseer to defend the team’s efforts. This led to more taunts. And now that you’re not visible in the show, will they continue to like you?”

Salman further pointed out that Mridul often comes across as a supporting act rather than a standalone player: “Sometimes you’re with Natalia, sometimes with Gaurav — you’re always showing up in the +1 category. Your personality inside the house is very different from the one people see on your channel. In a candid conversation with Mridul, Gaurav bared his soul about the hardships, relentless hustle, and setbacks that have shaped his journey. Both reflected on their journeys, sharing insights into both their personal and professional lives.

Gaurav Khanna’s Revelations Of Hardships

Gaurav recalled how, back in 2011, his life was a blur of constant work: “I used to do a minimum of two shows at a time. There was a time when I once fell asleep while driving a car. I never used to come home, I used to sleep in the car, and my driver would complain to my mom that ‘bhaiya is stretching too much.’”

Work consumed him so much that he missed out on living a normal life. “Main kahin ghooma nahi hoon, I’ve not even seen Mumbai properly. I used to work full day, hop from one set to another, get ready in the car itself — I was all over the place. From doing an action scene at one set to a rom-com scene two hours later at another, I was constantly on the move,” he revealed.

But the grind wasn’t his only challenge. Gaurav opened up about a series of personal and financial setbacks. “In 2014, I suffered a huge loss. A few friends betrayed me and took some money, and 60% of my money went into property losses. I was still a bachelor then. Then, in 2016, just eight days before my wedding, demonetisation happened. I never bought an expensive car at that time because I thought I’ll buy a house for my mom and dad instead,” he shared.

Through it all, he kept pushing himself. “After that I started working double. I didn’t want to think, I worked nonstop. I don’t know where my 20 years went,” Gaurav said emotionally, admitting that when he now sits with younger housemates, he feels a generational gap. “When I sit with you guys, I feel like I don’t know a lot of Gen-Z versions.”

He began by recounting his family background, saying his family once ran a huge shoe factory and he grew up in a joint family. “I’ve seen everything in life from highs to lows,” he shared, recalling the extremes: “ In 2000, we literally had every car in the house — 11 cars in total. But by 2002, when everyone retired, there was nothing left. I knew I had to do more. ”

Gaurav revealed how these experiences shaped his perspective. “Even today, when I step into a shoe shop, I still think about prices. I’ll check multiple shops before deciding,” he explained, emphasising how early lessons in responsibility and prudence stayed with him. Shifting to his career, he reflected on the harsh realities of the acting industry. “Acting is an industry where you can become famous overnight if a show works. If you’re good, more opportunities come your way. But if you’re not, then all you’ll ever talk about is that one successful show in your life,” he said, highlighting the fickleness and competitiveness of showbiz.

Akshay posted a selfie he took with Aarav, writing how, at his age, he was learning how to beat people up on screen. He wrote, “Happy 23rd, Aarav! When I was twenty three I was learning to beat up people on screen… it’s a strange feeling now to see you beat me everyday right from tech to fashion to arguments on the dinner table.”

He sweetly remarked about how his son has grown up now, adding, “Dekhte hi dekhte itna bada ho gaya hai yaar tu (You’ve grown up so fast)…you make me feel like a proud sidekick in my own story. Love you beta. Cheers to the best 23 years of my life because they’ve been with you.”

Twinkle also shared the same picture on her Instagram, remarking how she still wants to hold on to him, writing, “And he turns 23. Though I have an undeniable compulsion to hold on to him, it would be wise to remember that children are like the air stored in our lungs, in our custody for just a moment before the next exhalation. This may not be an entirely correct analogy because unlike breaths we can’t keep popping babies in and out constantly, but you get the point right 🙂 Here’s to the birthday boy. May he continue filling the world with his inate kindness.”

This year, Akshay starred in Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5 and Kannappa in Telugu. He will soon star in Jolly LLB 3, which will be released in theatres on 19 September. He is also working on Bhoot Bangla and Haiwaan with Priyadarshan. Twinkle will host a talk show called Two Much with Kajol on Prime Video. It will premiere on 25 September.

Twinkle dressed in red, sporting a Joker nose and holding up a giant Joker card cut-out, while Akshay stunned in black with funky card-themed shades. Posing cheek-to-cheek, the duo looked every bit the playful pair fans adore.

Alongside the photo, Twinkle penned, “Birthday celebrations that started at 7 a.m. and ended with cards and karaoke in the evening. The birthday boy is known for always winning. I wonder if it’s because he has a certain joker by his side, if not in his hand. :)”

A BBC Journalist Once Compared Rajesh Khanna to Napoleon

According to the Bollywood Shadis report, several years ago, Jack Pizzey, a BBC journalist, documented Rajesh Khanna’s life, and the documentary is called Bombay Superstar. The documentary covered them all, from his relationship with Dimple Kapadia to his work life and even his downfall. Pizzey claimed veteran filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee rewrote dialogues while waiting for Kaka on the sets.

He said, “The biggest star should be arriving at this studio. The superstar is Rajesh Khanna. He has the charisma of Rudolph Valentino, the arrogance of Napoleon, and he’s late. There’s nothing the director can do about it. He rewrites, yet again, the lines that his star should be speaking by now. He sweats and waits. Everyone is sweating and getting ready, and waiting.”

The BBC journalist continued, “The star lives in an impregnable dreamhouse. Getting in to interview Rajesh is like trying to get an audience with royalty. Only if a king says, ‘Come to my palace at 3’, he probably means it.” Jack reportedly tried interviewing Kaka and wound up in his house, only to be turned away from the gates.

Jack shared how he had once waited five days for Rajesh Khanna, an experience that eventually humbled him. He also recalled accompanying the star to a shoot in Kashmir, where Khanna kept the crew waiting even longer. In addition, the veteran actor reportedly became restless over the failure of his last five films.
