Hot Pilates Founder Shannon Nadj Shares the Rituals Keeping Her and Hollywood’s It-Girls Grounded and Glowing

Well-rounded wellness is in. Hot Pilates founder Shannon Nadj sat down with ET to mark the 11th anniversary of her heated Pilates studio in West Hollywood, California, and to share the rituals she’s prioritizing as she heads into 2026.

The celebrity instructor behind the sculpted silhouettes of Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Shay Mitchell, Lori Harvey, Sofia Richie, and Selena Gomez has been expanding her approach to offer a true mind-body-soul destination.

“We truly believe workouts are just one part of the bigger picture when it comes to wellness. One of the core principles of Pilates is the mind-body connection, which to me means nurturing our inner world just as much as our outer one,” Nadj explains.

Lately, her focus has shifted towards pairing movement with restorative rituals by offering sound baths and co-hosting events with lymphatic drainage hot spot Sous La Los Angeles, conveniently located right next door to her heated and reformer Pilates spaces.

“I’ve been taking care of my mental health by focusing on breath work, meditation, and slowing down. … Sound baths support our well-being on a cellular level, while services like those from Sous La align with our philosophy of intentional self-care.”

Still, Nadj never strays far from the signature sweat and glow that put her fitness destination on the map.

“Prioritizing movement helps us age gracefully and stay strong enough to keep doing the things that bring us joy. Beyond the physical benefits, maintaining a routine builds discipline, and over time, that turns into confidence we can carry with us far beyond our workouts. … Plus, releasing endorphins is like getting a natural boost from our body’s own pharmacy.”

Right now, that means prioritizing low-impact, high-reward workouts that deliver strength without spiking stress.

“I’m currently loving low cortisol workouts with heated mat Pilates and reformer classes,” she says.

And once she leaves, Nadj’s commitment doesn’t slow down. Instead, it simply shifts into a cozier version of TLC.

“I use the hyperbaric chamber at Remedy Place, Normatec compression boots a few times a week to help with inflammation, and do dry brushing in the winter to help with circulation and dry skin. For my face, I use the Celluma LED red light therapy mask, and I keep a humidifier in each room because it gets so dry in L.A.”

The Pilates pro is equally intentional about how she fuels her body.

“I follow an anti-inflammatory meal plan and take TruNiagen supplements and Peptides BPC157 at Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Group for inflammation and muscle tissue recovery. I’ve never felt better,” she shares.

Pete Davidson keeping tattoos for his parents

3 November 2025

Pete Davidson won’t get rid of his tattoo tributes to his parents.

Pete Davidson is having his tattoos removed

The former Saturday Night Live star is in the midst of a lengthy process of getting rid of over 200 individual inkings from all over his body but he plans to keep designs inspired by The Sopranos, as well as two poignant designs he had for his mom, Amy Waters Davidson, and late father Scott Davidson, a firefighter who died during the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York.

He told Entertainment Tonight: “I got all these tattoos, so my mom was like, ‘How come you’ve never gotten a “Mom” tattoo? Now I have a tattoo that just says ‘MOMTATTOO.’ That one has to stay…

“I have my dad’s ID [number], and that’s pretty much it.”

Pete – who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt – began the 10-year removal process in 2020 and admitted he is hoping to serve as a warning to other people because the procedure isn’t very comfortable.

He said: “It’s awful. I’ve been filming it and showing all the younger people in my family to be like, ‘If you don’t like it, this is what you have to do.’

“But I’m excited ‘cause I’m making changes. So I’m excited, but it sucks.”

The 31-year-old comic previously explained he views getting his tattoos removed as a fresh start after overcoming addition.

He told Variety: “I used to be a drug addict and I was a sad person, and I felt ugly and that I needed to be covered up.

“So I’m just removing them and starting fresh, because that’s what I think works best for me and for my brain. When I look in the mirror, I don’t want the reminder of ‘Oh yeah, you were a f******drug addict. Like, that’s why you have SpongeBob smoking a joint on your back.”

The King of Staten Island star has spentmore than $200,000 having them removed.

He admitted: “It’s a pretty uncomfortable amount of money to disclose, but I think one of the tabloids already leaked it.

“I’ve already spent like 200k and I’m like 30 per cent done. So, like, it’s gonna suck … My arms are pretty much gone, and my hands and neck are gone. But I still have to do my torso and back.”

Pete Davidson Reveals Which Ink He Plans to Keep Amid Ongoing Tattoo Removal Process

Pete Davidson can’t wait to be rid of his tattoos—most of them, at least.

While the Saturday Night Live alum is in the midst of a yearslong process to remove his extensive body art—totaling more than 200 individual designs—one in particular, dedicated to his mom Amy Waters Davidson, isn’t going anywhere.

“I got all these tattoos, so my mom was like, ‘How come you’ve never gotten a “Mom” tattoo?’” Pete, 31, told Entertainment Tonight in an interview published Oct. 31. “Now I have a tattoo that just says ‘MOMTATTOO.’ That one has to stay.”

The King of Staten Island star—who is expecting his first baby with pregnant girlfriend Elsie Hewitt—noted he also plans to keep his various Sopranos-inspired tats along with one honoring his late father Scott Davidson, a firefighter who died during the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center.

“I have my dad’s ID [number],” he shared, “and that’s pretty much it.”

‘Embarrassing

Keyshia Ka’Oir is (kind of) taking the high road when it comes to #NickiMinaj.

The wife of #GucciMane seemingly reacted to a post from Nicki in which she was accused of “trying to be” the “Super Bass” artist for years and of keeping her husband “sedated.” Nicki’s latest X rant came after Gucci opened up about his schizophrenia diagnosis and how Keyshia has helped him manage the condition. While neither Keyshia nor Gucci has responded to Nicki directly, Keyshia captioned her latest IG upload, “I’m like nah…….since when ….. out here embarrassing ….”

Keyshia isn’t the only person Nicki has had smoke for. This month, she’s fired off a flurry of rants on X, taking shots at Jay-Z, #CardiB, #KamalaHarris, Charlamagne tha God, and more.

bitchy | Prince Andrew has given up his royal titles & honors, but he’s keeping Royal Lodge

by jummy84 October 18, 2025
written by jummy84

I swear, the Windsors really have to stop with these late Friday news dumps. When I left my house this afternoon, there were several increasingly urgent stories about Prince Andrew, the Duke of York. Last weekend, Andrew’s 2011 email to Jeffrey Epstein was published by the Daily Mail – that email proved that Andrew lied about when he broke off contact with Epstein, and the email also suggested that Andrew and Epstein planned to continue seeing each other and abusing women and girls together. Throughout the past week, the fallout has been limited to palace sources openly dithering about what to do next, all while emphasizing that they believed dealing with Prince Harry was a “greater priority” for the Firm. Well, I was wrong – I thought nothing would come out of this latest round of dithering about Andrew. But something happened. Andrew is now giving up all of his titles and honors.

Prince Andrew is discontinuing the use of his royal titles and honors.

In a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Friday, Oct. 17, Prince Andrew said he will no longer use his title or honors as it distracts from the work of King Charles and the royal family.

Andrew, 65, said in the statement, “In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family. I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”

“With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me,” he continued. “As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”

To officially strip Prince Andrew’s titles, it would require an act of parliament.

Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will no longer use her Duchess of York title. She has long gone by Sarah Ferguson professionally and will now use that name in all areas of her life, PEOPLE understands. The former couple will also continue to reside at their residence, Royal Lodge, on the Windsor Castle estate, as Andrew has a private tenancy agreement with The Crown Estate, which is unaffected by issues relating to his titles.

PEOPLE also understands that Andrew will not attend any of the royal family’s Christmas celebrations.

The former couple’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, will not have their titles affected by this decision.

Prince Andrew has been styled as “His Royal Highness” since birth. Upon his marriage to Sarah Ferguson in 1986, his mother, Queen Elizabeth, gave him the titles of Duke of York, Earl of Inverness and Baron Killyleagh. The Duke of York is the traditional title for the sovereign’s second son, and the elite peerage has a rich royal history. According to British etiquette expert Debrett’s, the dukedom has been traditionally conferred upon the second son of the monarch since Edward IV in 1474. Queen Elizabeth’s father, King George VI, was also known as the Duke of York prior to the shocking abdication of his elder brother, King Edward VIII, in 1936.

[From People]

The Royal Lodge thing is interesting, almost as if that was part of the agreement – Andrew gave up his titles and honors, in exchange for keeping his lease on Royal Lodge. I’ve got to wonder if Charles threw in a few more perks to sweeten the deal, like Andrew will still be allowed to host shooting parties on privately-owned royal property (Windsor, Sandringham, Balmoral). It’s also interesting that Sarah is officially giving up her Duchess of York title too, although people already went back to using her maiden name anyway. Whew… well, it had to be done. And a lot more should be done as well, including Andrew agreeing to be interviewed in the long-running criminal investigations in the UK and America. Also: should we call him Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor now?

Jodie Whittaker on keeping Doctor Who secrets and comedy Frauds

Jodie Whittaker on keeping Doctor Who secrets and comedy Frauds

by jummy84 October 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Co-created by Jones (who plays Bert) and writer Anne-Marie O’Connor, the project appealed to Jodie, 43, because it was so different from anything she had done before. “I think what is amazing about Frauds is having Suranne as one of the creators and she’s telling stories that she doesn’t feel that she’s been a part of before,” Jodie says, speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com.

Filmed in Tenerife (doubling for mainland Spain), the series begins with the pair reconnecting when Bert is released from prison after serving time for a crime they were both involved in. While Sam is pleased to see her friend, she is also wary of their relationship (which Jodie describes as “toxic”), especially when Bert uses devious means to convince her to commit a dangerous robbery.

“Sam is such a different kind of role for me to play within this dynamic,” Jodie explains. “It was a wonderful challenge to have that kind of repressed rage that she has, and also there’s such a complicated back story between them, and having the moments where it flashes. It’s like someone trying to contain this, and contain Bert, but also themselves.

“I’m used to playing a lot of different types of roles, but I would say that a lot of the time I play people where their emotions are quite quick to the surface, and Sam is the opposite of that.”

The role of Sam is also quite physical, with Jodie and Suranne’s characters having a play fight in a bull ring in the first episode that involved Suranne wielding a shirt like a bullfighter’s cape close to her co-star’s face. “I think there was many a time we were kicking or accidentally bashing into each other, and there were definitely some close calls, but it’s all fine and I can forgive her instantly,” Jodie laughs.

Read more:

Another action scene involved the pair fighting in a swimming pool after Sam discovers that Bert has betrayed her. “That was the scene that made me want to take the job, in a way, because you don’t usually see that. You don’t see women of that age having that kind of response to each other, but that response is as normal as crying and cuddling each other, but we only normally see the crying and cuddling,” she says.

“What I loved about Frauds is it explores fear, the relationship between these two women, and it shows the versions that are within all of us but aren’t necessarily shown on television.”

“So when we got to film that, I was really super excited. Obviously, once you are four hours in, you’re a bit like, ‘oh, god!’ but they are really fun to do. I love the fact that within a stunt scene there’s always a massive amount of choreography so it feels really satisfying, because it becomes this rhythmical dance between you. And once you’ve got that down, then you can add all the elements, the dramatisation, the tension and the humour. That’s one thing I love about every scene in this. There was always something in it that kind of had that tone, where you sit in what you think it is, and then the tone slightly shifts, and it’s something completely different.”

Jodie Whittaker and Suranne Jones star in Frauds ITV / Monumental Television

During the making of Frauds, Jodie had to pull off her own secret operation – a quick return to Cardiff to film scenes for the surprise return of her Thirteenth Doctor in the series 15 finale of Doctor Who that was broadcast in May this year and marked Ncuti Gatwa’s final regular appearance as the Fifteenth Doctor.

“Suranne and the production team on Frauds didn’t know I was going to shoot it as it was under a complete pseudonym,” she explains. “They knew it was a pick up [the filming of extra footage after a main production has wrapped] on something. Of course, it wasn’t a pick up, it was a brand new day.

“It had a whole level of secrecy, because Doctor Who has to have its pool so tight. Wonderfully for me, Frauds released me to film it, I got to get there and no one leaked it.”

Jodie admits that her time on Doctor Who has meant she is “brilliant at keeping secrets”.

“I think I loved how secretive it was, because I understood the sadness when you’ve spent six to 10 months working on something, and for someone to not even casually, to intentionally leak a spoiler, and you’ve worked so hard on it.”

“I’m the least affected, it’s the art department, it’s the writers, it’s all the creatives and also the real fans and the Whovians, the most loyal and wonderful group of fans you could ever encounter. They love Doctor Who because it can go in any direction and be a surprise, so to have the spoilers is just frustrating. So I understood the level of secrecy, and I love a rule! If you say, ‘don’t tell me, don’t tell anyone,’ I won’t tell anyone. I am a vault. I was a good Doctor because I never leaked anything.”

Jodie inhabited the role of the Thirteenth Doctor from 2017 until 2022, and it’s clear that playing the Time Lord holds a special place in her heart. “I love Doctor Who more than I can ever describe,” she says. “Our seasons were longer than any other job I’ve ever done and I moved to Wales to film it, so it wasn’t just the job, it was the people, it was the life.”

There are other past roles she is particularly fond of, especially trainee nurse Samantha in writer/director Joe Cornish’s cult sci-fi comedy horror movie Attack The Block, where she starred alongside John Boyega, battling aliens invading a south London council estate.

“Attack The Block was one of my happiest times,” she remembers. “As a kid, I was hugely influenced by all the 80s creature features, and the 90s adventure films. I was in our version of that, and I adored it.”

Fans have been calling for a sequel since the film was released in 2011, and Jodie admits she is one of them. “There’s been talk of a sequel for years and I know no more than last time [it was rumoured]. I would absolutely do it. There’s probably no job I wouldn’t go back to. If someone said ‘do you want to do Black Mirror again?’ I’d say yes. I don’t think I have had an experience I wouldn’t revisit and I think with Attack The Block there is always that chat. So hopefully that continues. Maybe I should be sending a self-tape to Joe Cornish as I could definitely pop up again. I could send him an aggressive email!”

West Yorkshire-born Jodie was 29 when she was cast in Attack The Block, and just 23 when she made her big screen debut in the movie Venus, for which her co-star Peter O’Toole was nominated for his eighth Oscar at the age of 74. Looking back, it’s a role she describes as “such a gift” that has shaped her view on acting in the years since.

“It was one of the last roles he played in his life and he was at the end of what can only be described as a phenomenal, inspiring career,” she says. “He’s one of the great British or Irish acting legends, and he was a wonderful human who was such a joy to be around. I was fresh out of drama school and it was a master class with people like Vanessa Redgrave, Peter O’Toole, Richard Griffiths, Leslie Phillips and director Roger Michell.

“And it goes to show that you can still be doing phenomenal parts in your seventies, and I think what an exciting thing that is.”

With a career that has included the aforementioned Black Mirror (the 2011 episode The Entire History of You), acclaimed drama Broadchurch, medical series Trust Me and the upcoming Dear England, as well as stage performances in Antigone and The Duchess, Jodie Whittaker has already played a rich variety of roles, but admits there is one part that she would have loved to have taken on… though sadly she wasn’t quite the right age for it.

“I would have loved to have been Eleven in Stranger Things,” she reveals. “I would have loved to have been a kid with a shaved head!”

“When I saw the first series I thought, ‘Oh my God, to be Millie Bobby Brown right now, what a part. The first season of that show was incredible. It homages everything I adore, and that part is incredible. If I could have been a child with a skinhead, that would be the role for me, but I don’t think I was in the running. So, no animosity to Millie Bobby Brown,” she laughs.

“Maybe if I had tried a little bit of sellotape to make me look a bit younger?”

Frauds premieres on ITV1 and ITVX at 9pm on Sunday 5th October.

World Tourism Day 2025: Vet shares 5 simple tips for keeping pets comfy when they are your travel partner

World Tourism Day 2025: If your furry friend is your travel companion, make sure you follow this vet-approved checklist for a stress-free experience.

World Tourism Day 2025: September 27 is observed as World Tourism Day, a day which is designated to celebrate the many joys of travel. Travel’s value is also measured by the company, such as pets, whose presence makes the journey more goofy and memorable. While people aspire for ZNMD (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara) moments with friends, let’s not forget that furry friends can also turn ordinary trips into something extraordinary.

Enjoy the company of your pet on trips. (PC: Freepik)

But your planning needs to be solid if you are thinking of making your pet your travel partner. Dr Deepak Saraswat, head vet at Zigly, told HT Lifestyle in an interview that often long journeys can be stressful for pets, making them act out.

He added, “Long travels by road, train, or plane can be stressful for your pets. Foreign surroundings, long travel time, and new noises tend to make them restless or anxious. It is possible to ensure the experience is more relaxed and comfortable for pets with proper planning and some intelligent tricks up your sleeve.”

So the question is, how do you make your pet feel comfy on the trip? It is not rocket science, and your pet is not a stubborn critic whom you can’t please. With a little bit of love, care and lots of pre-planning, your trip with your pet has the potential to be picture-perfect.

Here’s a checklist, vet Dr Saraswat shared with us:

1. Establish a comfortable setting

  • Carry your pet’s favourite toy, blanket, or even a piece of clothing with you that has your scent on it.
  • Familiar smells and textures give a feeling of security and comfort, and this will help alleviate anxiety during the trip.

2. Exercise prior to travel

  • A fatigued pet is many times a relaxed pet. Give your dog a fast walk or get your cat to run around vigorously prior to beginning the trip.
  • This will release accumulated energy and make them more apt to relax while travelling.

3. Comfort through carriers and restraints

  • For safety and peace of mind, employ a secure pet carrier or seatbelt harness.
  • Filling the carrier with soft bedding and leaving it partially open can provide your pet with a den-like, snug area where they feel safe.

4. Have hydration and light snacks within reach

  • Bring an emergency water bottle and small amounts of your pet’s normal food or treats.
  • Providing water at intervals keeps them hydrated, and small, familiar portions of food can be a comfort and distraction.
  • Do not overfeed before travelling in order to avoid nausea.

5. Calming aids and soothing techniques

  • Some pets respond well to calming aids like vet-approved sprays, chews, or even natural remedies such as lavender essence (in pet-safe forms).
  • Gentle reassurance, soothing music, or white noise can also help create a more relaxed environment.

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Lighting Designer on Keeping Production in LA

by jummy84 August 25, 2025
written by jummy84

I am a Los Angeleno, born and raised, and I admired the entertainment industry even before I was a part of it. I’ve been fortunate to build a successful career in Los Angeles as a Lighting Designer, contributing to some of the most exciting and high-profile projects of the past 35 years. From scripted series to live telecasts to reality competition shows, I’ve worked alongside incredibly talented people, making magical moments. I love what I do, the people I do it with, and the city we call home.

For the past five seasons I’ve served as Lighting Designer on the technicolor explosion of artistry and self-expression that is “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” which has been proudly made in Los Angeles since 2009. At a time when productions are increasingly leaving Los Angeles, “RuPaul’s Drag Race” has remained firmly planted, holding onto its LA roots and much of the dedicated crew who helped build the iconic show.

Many of us have worked in production for decades. We’ve come up through the ranks, mentored by veterans who shaped this industry and were lighting stages with carbon arcs and tungsten sources. Our crew includes gaffers and key grips whose parents, and even grandparents, were in the industry. We’ve got camera operators who started out as PAs in the early days of reality TV, and passionate, young talent—many making the move to Los Angeles to break into the business— who hope this will be the first of many projects in a lifelong career. We’re the kind of workers who have long formed the backbone of this industry town: generational, skilled, and deeply invested in its future.

The work is hard, the pace is fast, and the expectations are high. Each week “RuPaul’s Drag Race” delivers something spectacular, whether it’s a Broadway-style musical, a scripted acting challenge, a high fashion photo shoot, or a lip sync smackdown for the ages, we’re constantly raising the bar. We are artists who want to create something timeless—a moment that people will remember, and that might even change their lives.

That level of creative ambition is made possible because of LA’s unmatched production ecosystem: the best crews in the business, cutting-edge rental houses, experienced collaborators, versatile sound stages, and reliable industry partners. These local, world-class resources allow us to be bold, flexible, and efficient.

Much of the success of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” can be credited to World of Wonder’s commitment to producing the long-running series in Los Angeles. They’ve proven there is no better place to make award-winning, culturally resonant television than right here at home. Their continued investment in LA’s production community not only helps sustain jobs and businesses, it preserves the legacy of craftsmanship, collaboration, and creative excellence that defines this town.
