Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have always been among the few celebrity couples who never hid their children’s faces from the paparazzi. However, things changed when Saif was attacked by an intruder in January this year, after which Kareena requested the paparazzi not to photograph their kids. In a recent podcast with Soha Ali Khan, Kareena revealed Taimur’s hilarious reaction to her decision.

Kareena spoke about not growing up in a paparazzi culture and explained how she tries to protect her sons as they grow up in an era of constant public attention. She said, “I have to be thick-skinned, and there’s no other way out. Because if you give in to the toxicity of all of this and get into it, it only feeds it more. So I have to pull back. Luckily, the children are not yet exposed to Instagram and Twitter. They are being photographed, and they understand that their parents are famous.”

When asked if her sons ever questioned why strangers constantly take their pictures with big cameras, Kareena replied, “Jeh doesn’t ask. But Tim got used to being clicked, and when I told the paparazzi not to take the kids’ photos, Tim asked me, ‘Why did you ask them not to click me?’ I said, because you’re not a star. He said, ‘But they’re clicking you na, why can’t they click me?’ I said, That’s because I’m famous, you’re just my son. Now he’s figured it out. He’s calculating that basically, he’ll have to become like Lionel Messi or Virat Kohli to get famous. So I told him, you think about how you want to become famous. But now, he’s not bothered anymore.”

Taimur Ali Khan, the elder son of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, has been one of the most talked-about celebrity kids since his birth on 20 December 2016. He became a media sensation, with his adorable looks and playful expressions winning the hearts of fans and photographers alike. He was often photographed on his way to and from school and became known for cheerfully waving at the paparazzi. His popularity grew so much that Taimur dolls even began selling in the market.

Kareena Kapoor Was Not Sure Of Taking The Character Of Geet

According to Bollywood Shaadis, in an interview with Mid-Day India, Kareena Kapoor shared that she was unsure about taking on the character of Geet Kaur. She said, “I was actually without work. I hadn’t worked in a year and a half because I was saying no to big films. I was not getting the kind of film that I wanted. Films weren’t working, so I wanted to take a sabbatical for a year and a half. I think Imtiaz called up Shahid and narrated the film. We didn’t even know Imtiaz because he had just made Socha Na Tha. I hadn’t seen the film; Shahid, I think, had seen the film.”

“Imtiaz came out of the blue, and it happened. He approached Shahid, and Shahid told me, ‘Hey listen, you know, he’s going to approach you for this role, and it’s great.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll work. I’ll do this movie.’ I never knew that it would be this iconic movie. I think Imtiaz always looked at me for that, that you’re not understanding what this character is,” Kareena added.

Earlier, in an interview with Film Companion, Kareena Kapoor recalled shooting for Tashan and Jab We Met simultaneously, calling it a “karmic connection.” She shared, “I was shooting for Tashan, and I was giving Jab We Met the treatment like, ‘Listen I’m working with YRF, I’m playing the main role, I’ve become a size zero, and I’m going to kill it.’ That was my vibe on the sets of Jab We Met. In fact, it was Shahid who actually said that I should hear the script. He was like, ‘It’s amazing; the girl’s part is amazing, and you should try it. He kind of actually got this entire project together, and both of us ended up doing this film.”

Tashan Was Kareena Kapoor’s Passion Project

Kareena further shared that she was just shooting for Jab We Met because Tashan was her ‘passion project and would change her life.’ “Destiny had its own plans, and life took its course. And a lot had happened in the making of this film and Tashan. This (Jab We Met) changed my career, and that (Tashan) changed my life. I met the man of my dreams, and I did marry him. This took its own course where Shahid and I went our own ways, and this gem came out of it,” she concluded.

Brothers Taimur and Jeh wore matching outfits

On September 30, Soha took to Instagram to share pictures of Inaaya’s birthday celebration. She hosted an intimate party for Inaaya in Mumbai that was attended by close family members like her sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor, mother Sharmila Tagore, and sister Saba Pataudi.

In one of the photos, Inaaya, who was dressed in a special white crop top, skirt and jacket look, was seen with Taimur and Jeh, who wore the exact same outfits. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena’s sons twinned in matching white and blue printed co-ord sets. Taimur, born on December 20, 2016, is their eldest son, while Jeh, born on February 21, 2021, is their younger son.

The party featured fun activities like making cupcakes. Kareena added to the joy with a hilarious photobomb moment, playfully walking into a frame where Soha and Neha Dhupia were posing for a photo. Kareena also shared a heartfelt birthday wish for Inaaya, writing in her Instagram caption, “Happy birthday princess Inaaya… love, joy and all the not sugar-free cake in the world.”

Inaaya’s aunt Saba marked the occasion by posting sweet family photos and expressing her joy in watching Inaaya grow into a ‘kind and intelligent girl’. Sharing pictures of the birthday party, she wrote on Instagram: “Family moments. Innijaan turns 8! Missing the boys…while we girls celebrate. Happy memories… we create. Blessed Grateful and thankful to have beautiful souls in my life.”

Crew 2 Update: Kareena Kapoor Confirmed, But Kriti Sanon And Tabu’s Future Uncertain | Glamsham.com

Following the success of her 2024 comedy-drama Crew, Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to return in its sequel. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Crew 2 has been officially confirmed and is currently in development. Kareena, who played an air hostess entangled in a gold-smuggling scheme, has expressed strong interest in reprising her role.

A source close to the project revealed, “Crew has strong potential to evolve into a franchise. The team has brainstormed several ideas and has now locked one that naturally lends itself to Crew 2.” Kareena is reportedly waiting for the final screenplay before signing on, though she’s already shown keen interest in returning.

While Kareena’s comeback is confirmed, the involvement of her co-stars Kriti Sanon and Tabu remains uncertain. The makers are reportedly considering casting new A-list actresses if the original stars choose not to return. “The idea is to continue the franchise with three A-list actresses. Kareena is locked in, and other casting decisions are currently under wraps,” the source added.

Crew, directed by Rajesh A. Krishnan, earned critical praise and crossed ₹100 crore at the box office. The film stood out for its female-led narrative, witty humour, and thrilling plot.

Meanwhile, Kareena is also preparing for Daayra, a gritty crime-drama thriller directed by Meghna Gulzar. Starring opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film explores the complex dynamics of crime, punishment, and justice. Daayra promises a deep and intense portrayal of societal issues, marking Meghna’s return after Sam Bahadur (2023). Co-written by Meghna, Yash, and Sima, the film is expected to deliver a hard-hitting narrative rooted in realism.

Kareena Kapoor Khan to play a crucial role in Crew 2 ?

In 2024, Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu collaborated for the first time in the Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor-produced film, Crew. The film went on to achieve success in theatres and received positive reviews from the audience. According to reports by Pinkvilla, Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor are considering a sequel to Crew. A source shared, “Crew as a franchise has strong potential to lead itself to a franchise. The team have brainstormed several ideas and finally zeroed down on one which has the potential to seamlessly lead itself into a Crew 2.” 

 

According to the source, it is also mentioned that among the original trio, only Kareena Kapoor will be featured in the film, while the casting for the other two leading roles remains uncertain. The source added, “Kareena has already shown interest in Crew 2, and is waiting to hear the full screenplay before signing the dotted lines. Things are in the nascent stages at the moment, but the entire team is excited to take the franchise route for Crew.” 

It’s not confirmed as to whether Kriti Sanon and Tabu will reprise their roles in the Crew franchise, or if the makers will opt for a fresh cast featuring top actors. The source concluded by saying, “The idea at the moment is to make Crew 2 with 3 A-List actresses. Kareena is certain to make a comeback to the world of Crew, and the other details are under-wraps for now.”

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor is currently occupied in filming Dayra with Meghna Gulzar. She is also in talks for several other projects, the specifics of which are currently confidential. There are also early talks regarding a sequel to Veere Di Wedding. The 2018 film featured Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, and Shikha Talsania in lead roles apart from Kareena Kapoor.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have featured in a new commercial, where they talked about how well they knew each other.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are certainly one of the most well-known celebrity couples in the industry. Fans have been eager to see the two on screen, given their last outing together was in 2012’s Agent Vinod. Kareena and Saif finally united on screen again, though this time it is only for a brand commercial.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s easy chemistry was the highlight of the ad.

On Friday, Kareena’s Instagram account was tagged in a new post with Spotify India. The post had a new ad which featured Kareena along with Saif. Kareena began by saying, “I know my Saif. He is not about grand gestures. For him, it is about the little things.” In response, Saif showed his big ‘Kareena’ tattoo on his hand and said, “Lagta hai tattoo thoda little reh gaya (It seems the tattoo was little)!”

Then, Kareena says that he also likes her surprise gifts- which was a drum set. Turns out, Saif likes to play guitar instead. Kareena also adds that in his spare time he likes to listen to ghazals. However, upon taking Saif’s phone and opening the Spotify app, she is surprised to know some remix song added to his playlist!
