Fans of Prabhas have been waiting with bated breath for the trailer of his upcoming film The Raja Saab. And now they are an excited lot because of an exciting development. According to sources, the trailer of The Raja Saab would be screened in the theatres along with Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1. The rustic drama is releasing on October 2. Many see this move as a good strategy by Prabhas’ filmmakers.

Three minutes and 30 seconds trailer

According to sources, The Raja Saab trailer duration is around 3 minutes and 30 seconds. The trailer was recently censored and is presently in the final cut to send it to the screens. Hombale Films, the production house of Kantara, has earlier bankrolled Prabhas-starrer Salaar. It also collaborated with the superstar for three more films. They share great bonding and that’s now benefiting both the parties. Pencilled to be a horror comedy, The Raja Saab is directed by Maruthi. The film is said to be a blend of romance and action, marking a fresh genre experiment for Prabhas. The teaser that was released in June generated good buzz, and fans are hoping for more excitement with the trailer. The Raja Saab is slated for release on January 9, 2026 for Sankranti festival.

This Dussehra, movie lovers are in for a spiritual and gripping cinematic experience as Kantara: Chapter 1, the eagerly awaited prequel to the 2022 superhit Kantara, is set to have a big-banner theatrical release on October 2, 2025. With Gandhi Jayanti and the festive season happening at the same time, the film is ready to bring a soul-evoking mix of mythology, folklore, and cinematic excellence.

Written, directed, and starring Rishab Shetty, the movie is an exploration of the origins of the Bhuta Kola ritual — a primary spiritual and cultural aspect of the original film. Although framed as a prequel, it expands upon the universe of Kantara, examining its roots further. The trailer features Shetty in a fierce, authoritative role, with a trident-bearing sequence that is notable for its ferocity. Supported by a rustic, mystical backdrop, the visuals are lush and ambient, creating an intensely immersive experience.

In a bold marketing strategy, the trailer was introduced in several languages by Indian film stalwarts — Hrithik Roshan (Hindi), Prabhas (Telugu), Sivakarthikeyan (Tamil), and Prithviraj Sukumaran (Malayalam) — marking a genuine pan-India release.

Produced by blockbusters-conscious Hombale Films, which produced KGF and Salaar, the music is composed by returnee B. Ajaneesh Loknath for both the soundtrack and background score. Arvind Kashyap is cinematographer and Vinesh Banglan production designer — guaranteeing visual and emotional impact of the highest level.

Jayaram, Gulshan Devaiah as Kulashekara, Rukmini Vasanth as Kanakavathi join Shetty in the cast, promising performances of strength.

Kantara Actor Rishab Shetty to Play a Cameo in Jr NTR’s Dragon?

Although the makers of Jr NTR’s upcoming film, Dragon (working title), have been shooting silently, speculations continue to rife about the action entertainer. The film is more than 50 per cent done, but the makers haven’t officially announced the leading lady’s name. Rukmini Vasanth had even participated in a couple of schedules but her name hasn’t been announced officially. While Jr NTR has recently resumed shooting for the film in Hyderabad, the latest we hear is that Kantara actor Rishab Shetty will be making a brief appearance in the Prashanth Neel directorial.

And the director believes that Rishab would be apt for the part. While the filmmakers haven’t made any official statement on the development, fans of Jr NTR and Rishab are expressing excitement over the reports. The filmmakers also believe that Rishab’s inclusion would boost the film’s visibility in Karnataka. Featuring an explosive blend of action, drama and mass appeal, Dragon will release on June 25, 2026.

Trip enjoyed a spiritual trip together

Last year, all the three stars, Jr NTR, Rishab Shetty and Prashanth Neel, holidayed together with their respective families. They were seen enjoying a spiritual trip together, visiting temples and spending time in nature in Karnataka. Their bond has set major friendship goals. Rishab Shetty, and Prashanth Neel escorted Jr NTR to the Udupi’s Shri Krishna Matha Temple. During the same trip, Jr NTR also treated his mother, Shalini, to a special birthday surprise. Their photos amid a divine atmosphere struck a chord with fans.
