A new ad campaign for Kalyan Jewellers brings together megastar Amitabh Bachchan, along with Janhvi Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and others, in a dazzling celebration of family, tradition, and festive elegance.

The advertisement begins with Amitabh Bachchan and Janhvi performing a pooja, after which Big B surprises his granddaughter with a special gift—a beautiful jewellery set that brings a radiant smile to Janhvi’s face. This is followed by Kriti Sanon receiving a jewellery set from a figure who appears to be her brother or husband. The ad concludes with a heartwarming bonding moment between grandfather and granddaughter.

Kalyani Priyadarshan is seen trying to reach a gift box on the top shelf of an almirah. Unable to reach it, she is assisted by her grandfather, Amitabh, only to discover that the gift she was trying to retrieve was actually for him. A delighted Big B then wears the necklace, symbolising the love and traditions shared across generations. The caption on the advertisement reads: “This Diwali, celebrate traditions that endure far beyond a single season. Explore jewellery crafted to be treasured for generations!”

Amitabh, Kalyani, Janhvi, and Kriti: what’s next

Amitabh Bachchan is currently busy hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 and will next be seen in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD sequel, which is set to go on floors in December this year. The film will also star Prabhas and Kamal Haasan in lead roles.

Kalyani Priyadarshan is enjoying the success of her recent release Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra. She will next appear in the Tamil film Genie, directed by Bhuvanesh Arjunan, alongside Wamiqa Gabbi and Ravi Mohan.

Janhvi Kapoor was most recently seen in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, alongside Varun Dhawan, Rohit Saraf, and Sanya Malhotra; however, the film underperformed at the box office. She will next star in Buchi Babu Sana’s sports-action drama Peddi, alongside Ram Charan and Shiva Rajkumar, scheduled for release in 2026.

Kriti Sanon is awaiting the release of her upcoming film Tere Ishq Mein, directed by Anand L. Rai, which also stars Dhanush and is set to release in November this year.

Lokah OTT release: Kalyani Priyadarshan’s ₹300-crore Malayalam blockbuster to land soon on this platform

Lokah OTT release: The latest Malayalam blockbuster, Lokah has crossed ₹300 crore at the box office. Film’s lead star Kalyani Priyadarshan took to social media to make the announcement on Tuesday morning, which was followed by yet another reveal: the OTT release plan.

Streaming app JioHotstar shared on social media that Lokah will be out on the platform soon. However, they did not reveal the release date. “The beginning of a new universe. Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra — coming soon on JioHotstar,” they shared with a poster of the movie.

Fans were excited to watch the film online. A person thanked producer Dulquer Salman for it. “Yesss finally …..thankyou @dqsalmaan @dqswayfarerfilms for this lovely gift,” they wrote. “Tell the date tell the date man,” said another. “Bro please put it in Hindi Language also,” requested a fan.

About Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra

Made under the banner of Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’ has been written and directed by Dominic Arun.

Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan plays the role of a superhero in the film. Naslen, Chandu Salimkumar, Arun Kurian and Sandy also play prominent roles in the movie.

‘Lokah Chapter 1’ was released in theatres on August 28, 2025. The film has garnered praise from critics and viewers after its release.

Sequel announced

Recently, Dulquer teased a sequel to the movie. In September, gave fans the first glimpse of ‘Lokah Chapter 2’ by sharing a video titled ‘When Legends Chill: Michaek x Charlie’. The movie is expected to centre around Tovino Thomas’s character, Chaatan, in the film.

The film’s teaser features a playful conversation between Tovino and Dulquer Salmaan, who was previously introduced as Odiyan in a social media post.

At one point, Tovino jokes with Dulquer, asking, “Why don’t you call me once in a while — in 50 years or even 100 years?” The banter continues as Tovino mentions that his brother is out now, unlike him, and could be violent.

He then asks Dulquer if he would come to help if called upon, to which Dulquer promptly says no. The light-hearted exchange ends with a brief glimpse of the much-anticipated second part of the ‘Lokah’ universe.

The sequel will be directed by Domic Arjun and will star Tovino Thomas in the lead role. Taking to his X handle, Wayfarer Films wrote, “Beyond myths. Beyond legends. A new chapter begins. #LokahChapter2 Starring Tovino Thomas. Written & Directed by Dominic Arun. Produced by Wayfarer Films.”

Kalyani Priyadarshan’s latest release Kotha Lokah: Chapter 1— Chandra is scripting new records at the box office. Directed by Dominic Arun, the Malayalam film is not only minting money in their home state but also in Telugu too. Producer Naga Vamsi released the Telugu dubbed, and boy, the film has already set the cash registers ringing. The Dulquer Salmaan’s production venture so far collected around Rs 6 crore in the Telugu speaking states. If the right scripts come, I will definitely do more movies in Telugu. What fascinates me the most is that the audiences are treating Kotha Lokah like their own Telugu film, it means the world to me.” On a concluding note, she stated that it’s the audience’s love and support that gives her the strength to do more great films.

Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi recalls that the moment he saw the Kotha Lokah teaser, he wanted to release it in Telugu. Expressing that he feels proud to distribute such a superhero film in Telugu, the producer states that Kotha Lokah gives a grand cinematic experience on big screens to the audiences, and that the film has to be enjoyed in the theatres. Dulquer Salmaan who produced the film says that Kalyani Priyadarshan is like his sister. Stating that both of them think alike and vibe the same way, he is grateful to Telugu audiences for embracing Kotha Loka, just like how they welcomed him as an actor into Tollywood.

Lokah Chapter 1 box office collection day 8: Dominic Arun’s superhero film Lokah: Chapter 1—Chandra has crossed the ₹50 crore mark in domestic collections. The film, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen, and Sandy as leads, was released in theatres on 28 August and saw collections pick up after good word-of-mouth reviews. Here’s how the film is faring.

According to Sacnilk, Lokah collected an estimated ₹6.54 crore net in India on Thursday, taking its total domestic eight-day collection to ₹52.89 crore. The film ended its seven-day run by bringing in ₹46.35 crore in India and ₹100 crore worldwide. It had a decent ₹2.7 crore opening on Thursday, but collections spiked on Friday, and it brought in ₹4 crore. Collections continued to spike on its first weekend, with ₹7.6 crore and ₹10.1 crore hauls. Interestingly, during the week, Lokah managed to collect more than ₹7 crore per day despite the weekdays, showing moderate to no dips.

Dulquer Salmaan on Lokah’s success

Dulquer Salmaan produced Lokah Chapter 1 – Chandra under his production house, Wayfarer Films. In a success meet held in Hyderabad on Wednesday, the actor reflected how none of the films he had acted in received the kind of response Lokah got.

He said, “We are still trying to process what is happening. For us, Lokah was something always very intimate; it almost felt like a very expensive indie film. We had to get Jakes (Bejoy) to commercialise it. But the way it’s just blown up and everywhere in the country, I have done 40 plus movies, and I have not experienced this as a hero for any of my films. Thank you to the audiences for accepting Lokah”

Lokah tells the story of a mysterious Chandra (Kalyani) who is summoned back to India by the leader she follows, Moothon (voiced by Mammootty). Naslen plays her love interest and neighbour, Sunny, while Sandy plays the antagonist, Inspector Nachiyappa.
