October brings with it the spooky season, and Netflix is leaning right into the chills with the release of the first full trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s highly anticipated Frankenstein. Fans finally get their first real look at Jacob Elordi as the iconic creature — a haunting presence that had, until now, remained shrouded in mystery. The trailer, featuring a chilling voiceover, offers a spine-tingling glimpse at Elordi’s monstrous transformation.

The movie features an all-star cast headed by Oscar Isaac, who portrays Victor Von Frankenstein, the brilliant scientist whose pursuit of bringing life into existence comes with catastrophic repercussions. Elizabeth Lavenza, Victor’s fiancée, is portrayed by Mia Goth, stuck in a maelstrom of love, ambition, and gothic horror.

Del Toro’s take on the classic guarantees a sweeping, visually lush retelling of Mary Shelley’s novel, remaining true to its motifs of identity, obsession, and isolation, and adding his trademark dark fantasy design on top. The trailer reveals epic cinematic images — from ice-capped ships adrift in frozen seas to opulent ballrooms shrouded in mystery.

Frankenstein has already been making a big splash on the festival circuit. The movie debuted at the Venice Film Festival to good notices, had surprise showings at Telluride, and took the runner-up position for the highly sought People’s Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Del Toro’s version is being characterized as epic in tone and length, adding an intense emotional and frightening twist to the classic story.

The movie will have a limited theatrical release on October 17, designed to qualify for awards season. It will subsequently premiere internationally on Netflix on November 7, just in time to illuminate the long, cold nights of late autumn.

The new Guillermo del Toro directorial is about an egoistic yet brilliant scientist, Victor von Frankenstein, played by Oscar Isaac, who brings a dangerous monster, played by Jacob Elordi, to life during an experiment. His daring move, however, causes a havoc-like situation for the creator, as well as the world. The trailer gives the audience a deeper look into Elordi’s character as he transforms into a resurrected monster.

The official synopsis of the movie reads, “Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro reimagines Mary Shelley’s classic tale of a brilliant scientist and the creature his monstrous ambition brings to life.”

Apart from the visuals, the viewers can also hear multiple voice-overs by the Euphoria star. The movie is an adaptation of the epic Mary Shelley novel, and the filmmaker has been working on it for over a decade.

As for Frankenstein’s run at the film festivals, the director, along with his team, premiered the cinematic piece at the Venice Film Festival, the Telluride Film Festival, and the Toronto Film Festival. The film was announced to be the runner-up at the TIFF for the fest’s coveted People’s Choice Award.

Jacob Elordi’s Monster Revealed in New Look

by jummy84 October 1, 2025
written by jummy84

As the calendar turns to the month of Halloween, Netflix has unleashed a new trailer for Guillermo del Toro‘s “Frankenstein,” including a closer look at (and plenty of voiceover from) Jacob Elordi‘s resurrected monster, who has been kept heavily cloaked in previously revealed footage.

Along with Elordi, the new trailer also features additional looks at Oscar Isaac as Victor Von Frankenstein and Mia Goth as Elizabeth Lavenza, the mad scientist’s bride to be, as well as the film’s various lavish fantasy sets, from a harbored ship in a frozen ocean to a well-attended ballroom party.

“Frankenstein” is coming off a warm reception on the fall festival circuit. The epic-length adaptation of the seminal Mary Shelley novel premiered at Venice Film Festival before enjoying surprise screenings at Telluride Film Festival and another red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival. At TIFF, the film came in as the runner-up for the fest’s coveted people’s choice award — an accolade that’s traditionally a key bellwether for the Oscar race.

Guillermo del Toro had been developing a “Frankenstein” adaptation for decades before Netflix ultimately issued a greenlight. In Variety’s cover story for Venice Film Festival, the Oscar-winning director explained that, “The usual discourse of Frankenstein has to do with science gone awry. But for me, it’s about the human spirit. It’s not a cautionary tale: It’s about forgiveness, understanding and the importance of listening to each other.”

Netflix is giving “Frankenstein” a limited, awards-qualifying theatrical release on Oct. 17, with a streaming debut to follow on Nov. 7. Watch the new trailer below.

16 September 2025

Jacob Elordi has rekindled his romance with Olivia Jade Giannulli.

Jacob Elordi has reconciled with Olivia Jade Giannulli

The 28-year-old actor and Olivia, 25, are giving their on-off relationship another chance, after reportedly breaking-up last month.

A source told People: “Even though they’ve been on and off, they still talk all the time and remained close friends.”

Olivia’s family are fond of the Euphoria actor and they’ve been keen to see him rekindle their relationship.

The source explained: “Her family really likes him and they have the same circle of friends.”

The celebrity duo have been in an on-off relationship since 2021, and news of their decision to rekindle the romance comes after Olivia recently supported Jacob at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Jacob and Olivia were seen walking together at the premiere of his movie Frankenstein. The sight sparked speculation that they’d reconciled their differences and were dating once again.

The actor and the influencer – who is the daughter of fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli and actress Lori Loughlin – split in 2022, before rekindling their romance in the following year.

A source explained around that time: “They both seem really happy, and their friends wouldn’t be surprised if they officially got back together.”

Jacob and Olivia always made a concerted effort to keep their romance out of the spotlight.

On the other hand, the actor was previously much more transparent about his relationship with Kaia Gerber, posting photos of them together on his Instagram account.

Kaia, 24 – who is the daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber – also discussed their romance during an interview with Vogue in 2021.

The brunette beauty said at the time: “Being able to be with someone I trust, where we don’t want anything from each other, having a safe, steady relationship like that, has really opened my eyes to the possibilities of love and what it feels like to love without conditions.

“Lust is touching other people or wanting them, but love is really seeing someone.”

Alison Oliver, Shazad Latif, and Hong Chau also star.

When is Wuthering Heights coming out?

The film will be released in theaters on February 13, 2026, which happens to be a Friday. Honestly, it feels pretty poignant to release the film on both a Friday the 13th and Valentine’s Day weekend.

Is there a trailer?

We’re still waiting for a full-length trailer; however, on September 3, Warner Bros. released the next best thing—a very erotic teaser trailer.

Set to Charli XCX’s “Everything Is Romantic” remix featuring Caroline Polachek, the teaser trailer gives viewers a sense of Fennell’s incredibly sensual interpretation of the classic. Scored by Charli XCX, the film is clearly intended as a tongue-in-cheek take on the Victorian classic, which is set several decades before it was published in 1847.

The stunning sets and wardrobes are a mix of old and new—at one point we see Robbie’s Catherine wearing rose-colored sunglasses—making it clear that this isn’t a rigidly faithful adaptation. Which is good news for fans of Saltburn’s rich scenery, which was deftly portrayed by Fennell.

What’s the controversy?

So far the teaser has earned mixed reviews from fans. In the YouTube comments, many Brontë loyalists bemoan that the adaptation appears to be all sexual tension and innuendo shots of fingers in fish mouths, when the actual book was more Victorian yearning.

“I fear they’re making it extremely sensual and provocative for shock value when the book had none of that at all,” wrote one user. Others pointed to the fact that the title is displayed with quotation marks, a clear signal that the source material is simply inspiration, not an exact playbook.

The film poster is even modeled in the style of a paperback romance novel, seeming to imply that the bodice ripping we see in the teaser may go further than violent exhalations and sexually aggressive stares.

Jacob Elordi, Sofia Coppola, Gemma Chan, and More Toasted to the “Craft of Cinema” With Cartier at Venice Film Festival

On Friday night in Venice, the grande dame hotels lining the Grand Canal were abuzz with parties as the film world headed back from premieres on the Lido and were ready to celebrate their films over a negroni or two. And few events were quite as starry as the dinner held at the Gritti Palace by Cartier and the cult film magazine A Rabbit’s Foot, which saw the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Charles Finch, welcome guests for a dinner of vegetable risotto and grilled fish. Those arriving to the hotel jetty for the evening included Jacob Elordi, in town to promote his starring role in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein; Sofia Coppola and Francis Ford Coppola; Bugonia’s Alicia Silverstone; and the president of this year’s Venice Film Festival jury, Alexander Payne.

Naturally, a series of speeches soon followed, all honoring the “craft of cinema.” First, Finch raised a glass to Cartier’s longstanding commitment to supporting filmmakers (this is the fourth year that the French jewelry house has served as the main sponsor and official partner of the Venice Film Festival). Then, Cartier’s SVP chief marketing officer Arnaud Carrez offered his thanks to Finch for partnering on the event, as well as to the illustrious roll-call of artists seated around the room.

Finally, it was time to head to the Gritti rooftop, which had been transformed for the evening into Venice’s most glittering open-air nightclub for the after-party, with actors Rashida Jones, Gemma Chan, and George Mackay all arriving to sip Champagne and take in the sweeping views over to the dramatically lit Santa Maria della Salute church and the lagoon beyond. Even as those with premieres and press junkets the next day began to peel off, the party continued late into the night as guests blew off steam after a busy first few days at the festival—and left the party chattering about the rest of the films to come over the next week.

The Twilight Saga Returns To Theatres This Fall: Bella, Edward & Jacob Are Back | Glamsham.com

“Forever Begins Again” – The Teaser That Broke the Internet

On Wednesday, the franchise’s official page dropped a poster featuring Bella (Kristen Stewart), Edward (Robert Pattinson), and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) with the cryptic tagline: “Forever Begins Again. This October.”

The post was co-shared by Lionsgate, which owns the rights to the saga, and Fathom Events, known for re-releasing cultural classics in theatres. Together, they’ve sparked speculation that this is more than just a nostalgia play.

Why Now? The 20th Anniversary Connection

October 5, 2025, marks the 20th anniversary of the first Twilight novel by Stephenie Meyer. The re-release perfectly aligns with this milestone, giving both old and new fans a chance to revisit Forks, Washington, on the big screen.

The saga includes:

Twilight (2008)

New Moon (2009)

Eclipse (2010)

Breaking Dawn – Part 1 (2011)

Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012)

Together, the films grossed over $400M worldwide, catapulting its young cast into superstardom.

Fan Frenzy: From Theories to Fandom Wars

The teaser immediately lit up social media. While many are preparing for a theatrical re-release, others are daring to hope for something bigger, a new animated series, book, or spin-off film.

Comments flooded in:

“Y’all, I am going to burst into fangirl flames.”

Even Jeopardy!’s official account chimed in with “OMG OMG OMG.”

Twilight’s Pop Culture Legacy:

Love it or hate it, Twilight changed the pop-culture landscape. It made vampires mainstream, turned Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” into a wedding anthem, and gave us one of the most debated love triangles in cinema history.

Robert Pattinson has often joked that fans tell him Twilight “ruined vampire movies,” while Taylor Lautner still insists Jacob deserved Bella. The frenzy proves one thing: Twilight remains as divisive, dramatic, and addictive as ever.

What to Expect This October?

Details will be revealed soon, but here’s what fans can likely look forward to:

Theatrical screenings of all five films across major markets

Special fan events by Fathom Events

New merchandise and re-released soundtracks timed with the anniversary

Whether you’re Team Edward or Team Jacob, October promises to reignite the Twilight fever that once had the world divided over sparkling vampires and shirtless werewolves.

Final Word:

For a franchise that ended in 2012, the return of The Twilight Saga proves its eternal hold on pop culture. With nostalgia, fandoms, and a new generation of audiences ready to join the ride, the saga’s comeback could be one of the biggest theatrical re-releases of the decade.Stay tuned — because in 2025, forever really does begin again.
