Television actress Delnaaz Irani, best known for her roles in popular TV shows and films, is in a long-term relationship with DJ Percy Karkaria. The couple, who have been together for nearly a decade, live together but haven’t tied the knot. Delnaaz, who is nine years older than Percy, has often faced criticism for their age gap, but she continues to live life unapologetically on her own terms.

In a recent interview with one of the media houses, the 53-year-old actress opened up about why the couple has decided not to get married, despite being deeply committed to each other. Delnaaz revealed that both she and Percy have gone through difficult past relationships. She said, “Percy is also divorced. His divorce was very bitter. Although he was initially excited about marriage, his doubts were strong, especially because he is nine years younger than me. When you’re emotionally broken and someone new enters your life, it takes time to understand and trust again.”

She added, “It takes a lot of courage to pick yourself up and love someone again. I always say I don’t want to put any label on our relationship because it’s so sacred. To him, I’m not an actress, I’m just me.” Calling Percy her biggest blessing, Delnaaz said, “He’s like an angel who took care of me, brought back my laughter, supported me, and took away my insecurities. He made me believe in love again. It feels meaningless to name this relationship. We are life partners and companions.”

She further added, “Even if I signed a piece of paper today, nothing would change. Because to me, he’s already my husband. My heart and soul are with Percy.” Delnaaz also revealed that she and Percy are deeply spiritual and believe in astrology and tarot cards. “Everyone we met said the same thing, ‘Stay the way you are, don’t get married.’ It’s like a doctor telling you not to do something for your own good. For me, marriage was like a seal that could change the energy between us, and I didn’t want to risk losing Percy.”

In a surprising crossover between global philanthropy and Indian television, Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates is set to make a special appearance on the popular TV serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. Actress-turned-politician Smriti Irani confirmed the news in an exclusive conversation with CNBC-TV18, calling it a “historic moment” for Indian entertainment.

“This marks a historic moment in Indian entertainment,” Irani said. “For far too long, women and children’s health has remained on the margins of mainstream dialogue. This initiative is a powerful step toward changing that.”

Sources close to the show revealed to News18 Showsha that Gates will appear via video call in an upcoming episode, where his character will speak to Tulsi, played by Irani. In the plotline, Tulsi is struggling with her strained relationship with her daughter Paridhi (Pari) Virani, and Gates will offer her thoughtful advice on how to balance family responsibilities with self-care.

“Yes, the rumours are true,” an insider confirmed. “Tulsi will open up about her conflict with Pari, and Bill Gates will guide her with heartfelt advice. It’s an emotional yet empowering scene.”

Earlier today, the makers released a promo teasing the episode. In the clip, Tulsi is seen talking on a video call with someone from America. While the person’s identity is not explicitly revealed, viewers can hear her say, “Jai Shree Krishna, bahut accha laga yeh jaanke ke aap seedha America se mere parivaar se judd rahe hai. Aapka hum sab besabri se intezaar kar rahe hai.”

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, which premiered in July 2025, marks the return of several original cast members including Amar Upadhyay, Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, and Ketki Dave, along with new faces like Shagun Sharma and Rohit Suchanti. Unlike its predecessor, this season is expected to be a limited series.

It’s one of the best reality shows. Why wouldn’t I want to go back? I would love to re-enter as a regular contestant or even as a wild card.”

Delnaaz Irani also spoke about how the show has changed over time. She reflected on her earlier experience, saying, “I would keep reentering Bigg Boss because it’s such a lovely place to be in. I think year after year, people say it’s just becoming worse, but worse for whom? Audiences are getting entertained every year. Bauth log bauth kuch bolte hai, but every year it’s a notch above. It’s doing very well, and the contestants are really entertaining. I feel every year there are a bunch of people who are so different, so unique. It would be really interesting for me to see myself today as a different Delnaaz Irani going into Bigg Boss, because jab hum log ne game kheli thi it was the beginning years of Bigg Boss. Even makers were trying to know what they could do, how they could proceed with the game, and it was so new for everybody. It was so new for everyone, like just six years into the show, and people were still getting their bearings.”

Delnaaz ended by saying she would now enter the house fully prepared. She said, “Abhi agar koi jata hai toh, obviously, one would be totally prepared, I would go all prepared, and I am, I’m totally excited with the question only. So I guess, it would be lovely to re-enter Big Boss.”

As Bigg Boss Season 19 continues, fans are excited to see who will make it to the finals and who will take home the trophy. If Delnaaz enters the house it would be an entertaining watch for the audience.

Smriti Irani made her television return with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 earlier this year and addressed rumours about filming under strict security measures. Reports had suggested that Smriti was shooting the Ektaa Kapoor series with a Z+ security cover and heightened security protocols.

During her appearance on The Bombay Journey on Mashable India’s YouTube channel, Smriti responded to these speculations. She dismissed the reports, “I was really surprised when this news about me was circulated—that I would be shooting under Z security, with heavy protection. I had a hearty laugh.”

She also shared that she only received special treatment on set when the Mashable team visited. Smriti explained, “The umbrella guy suddenly appeared with an umbrella near me. Apparently, the production thought some grandeur was necessary. I was like, ‘What is happening? Nothing like this has ever happened to me before!’”

In May, India Forums reported that Smriti was filming Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi under high security. A source revealed, “Everyone on set, except Amar sir, Smriti ma’am, and Ekta ma’am, will have their phones taped, and usage will be prohibited. Smriti is also shooting with heavy security, and strict protocols are in place.”

Now, actor Boman Irani’s son Kayoze Irani has also made his debut as a director with the film Sarzameen. But he has carved his niche in the film industry before this. Kayoze Irani attended an interview in which he said, ‘I think I am not a thinker, so I cannot make any big claim. But I think that when you make a film where you are sharing something from your life, then honesty comes into your film’.

Kayoze further said, ‘When that honesty comes, the film itself becomes good. See where to put the camera of the film, how the craft should be, it can happen, but the story is king. Your script should be strong; otherwise, no one can save you.’ Talking about the hard work to get fame and success in the industry, Kayoze said, ‘You have to work very hard. I am the son of a big actor, but I started as an intern. In my first job, I had to sweep the set of an ad film. So I used to clean the set by getting under the actor’s feet.’

Talking about the differences with his father, Bama Irani, Kayoze said, ‘There is a lot of love in my house. I get so much love from my mother, but I feel that a child wants to be like his father. We have different thoughts on some topics with Papa, but our friendship is very strong. Whenever we talk, everyone listens to each other, but when Papa gives his opinion, it is just an opinion; he does not say that this is how it should be. That means we have the freedom to express our views and follow them.’

Talking about casting Kajol, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Ibrahim Ali Khan in his first directorial film ‘Sarzameen’, he says, ‘I never felt that I am working with such big stars like Kajol ma’am and Prithviraj sir. They have given me a lot of respect. They made it very easy for me to make this film. They helped me a lot. As far as today’s generation is concerned, we are in the era of social media.’
