The Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum artist announced via Instagram on Friday (Nov. 8) that he would not be performing at The Outer Fields at Western Springs in Auckland, New Zealand, as originally scheduled for tonight.

“Dear Auckland, I’ve done everything I can,” he wrote on Instagram. “I just can’t shake it. It breaks my heart, I’ve probably missed three shows in the last decade. I pride myself on showing up no matter what. Just couldn’t do it this time. Please forgive me.”

Fans reported that they didn’t discover news of the cancellation until arriving at the venue. The late notice left many frustrated and disappointed, particularly as some had travelled long distances to attend Jelly Roll’s first-ever New Zealand performance.

The cancelled concert was set to wrap Jelly Roll’s tour across Australia and New Zealand, which marked the country-rock star’s first-ever visit to the region. The run included back-to-back shows at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena (Oct. 28–29), a sold-out night at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena (Nov. 4), and an Adelaide show at AEC Theatre (Oct. 26). He also headlined the inaugural Strummingbird Festival on the Sunshine Coast (Oct. 25), followed by dates in Newcastle (Nov. 1) and Perth (Nov. 2).

In 2023, his album Whitsitt Chapel peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and in 2024, his follow-up Beautifully Broken debuted at No. 1 — marking his first chart-topping release on the all-genre tally. He has also earned eight consecutive No. 1 singles on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, including fan favourites like “Heart of Stone,” “I Am Not Okay,” and “Liar,” the latter of which held the top spot for six weeks.

Live Nation have issued a statement on the show’s cancellation, saying: “We regret to announce the Jelly Roll Down Under 2025 Tour tonight at The Outer Fields at Western Springs in Auckland will no longer go ahead due to illness.

“All ticket holders will receive an automatic full refund. For any further refund enquiries please contact your point of purchase. We thank the fans for their understanding, and we look forward to welcoming Jelly Roll in future.”

Jim Curtis is under a brighter spotlight now that he’s known as Jennifer Aniston‘s new boyfriend. However, he is also a recognizable name in the health and wellness space. As a hypnotherapist and coach, Jim made it his mission to help others, and he was inspired to pursue his passion by his own illness. Jim’s personal health problems, including living with a limp at one point, are making headlines, and fans of Jennifer are curious to learn more about him.

“After years of living with a chronic, misdiagnosed illness and emotional trauma, he found a way to heal that honored both the body and the soul,” Jim’s website indicates. “His work is rooted in that experience — and in the belief that no matter how stuck or broken you may feel, transformation is always possible.”

Hollywood Life breaks down everything we know about Jim’s illness and how he’s doing now below.

Jim Works in the Health & Wellness Space

As previously noted, Jim works as a hypnotherapist, coach and author. He’s published two books: Shift: Quantum Manifestation Guide and The Stimulati Experience: 9 Skills for Getting Past Pain, Setbacks, and Trauma to Ignite Health and Happiness.

“For over two decades, Jim has been a voice in the wellness world — holding leadership roles at WebMD, Everyday Health, and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN),” Jim’s website bio reads. “He’s coached entrepreneurs, creatives, and public figures through deep inner work — blending neuroscience, subconscious reprogramming, and emotional healing.”

What Illness Was Jim Curtis Diagnosed With?

Jim currently uses a cane to walk. When he was 22, doctors found lesions on his spinal cord.

“My own illness and disability forced me to confront the limited beliefs, disconnection, and trauma that were keeping me sad, sick, and alone,” Jim’s website indicates. “Through many powerful tools, including hypno-realization, I not only transformed my physical health, depression, and relationships, but I’ve also helped thousands of others break free to create an entirely new reality full of connection, community and love.”

During a 2018 interview with Fast Company, Jim opened up about his condition, which caused him to have muscle spasms, a limp and even paralysis at one point.

“It was unknown how they started, but I very rapidly became ill and soon had trouble walking,” Jim said. “My illness was telling me something about the perception of who I was, [which to me] was this macho guy; I was an athlete, and I had a plan to work on Wall Street, so I did it.”

Noting that his Wall Street job “couldn’t have been a worse choice,” Jim explained that it was “super high-stress, which is inflammatory and devastating for a condition like mine. It increased symptoms of fatigue and pain, and it brought on new ones like IBS [irritable bowel syndrome] and other things I couldn’t control.”

Jim stayed at his job for two years before transitioning into the health industry.

Does Jim Curtis Have a Disability?

It’s unclear if Jim currently lives with a disability, but he recalled living with a limp during his 2018 Fast Company interview.

“Often, I would never broach [the subject of my illness] because I was walking with a limp, and I didn’t want to get into the ‘why,’” Jim explained. “So, for most of the time, I lied. I made up a story because I wasn’t vulnerable enough to tell this story. So, I said I’d been in an accident – often it was motorcycle accident – because that fit perfectly, that’s kinda cool, and that’s tough enough.”

Jim elaborated on the other symptoms he lived with, including IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), noting that he “hid [his] condition, and it was really hard for [him].”

“Up until 10 years ago, I had IBS, and accidents happened a lot,” Jim explained. “As a salesperson on the road a lot, I would have to walk through major airports literally for a couple miles; I didn’t want to wait for a wheelchair and trip and fall and be so sweaty. I was doing that and not talking about it and pushing through. When something terrible happened — which it did — I would go into disaster mode or go home and take care of it, and go back to work for another day. I was definitely depressed. You don’t realize what a toll that takes. [Since] I was in sales, I was entertaining [and consumed] a lot of bad food and alcohol and was easily 50 pounds overweight.”

Lil Wayne Missed Verzuz Battle Due To Illness, Says Hot Boys Member

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Hot Boys member B.G. has cleared the air regarding Lil Wayne’s unexplained absence from the highly anticipated Cash Money vs. No Limit VERZUZ matchup, confirming that the rap superstar was forced to withdraw due to illness—not internal tension or scheduling disputes.

Appearing on The Breakfast Club on Friday, Oct. 31, B.G. explained that Wayne had every intention of taking part in the event, but his health took an unexpected turn just before showtime.

“Shorty wasn’t feeling good, man,” B.G. said of Wayne during the interview, pointing out that the hitmaker also missed another show he was scheduled to perform at following the VERZUZ event. “He had a concert at Drai’s the same night, and he canceled that as well, you know,” he explained.

B.G. emphasized that the decision was strictly health-related and urged his longtime collaborator to take care of himself.

“Like I told him, we ain’t spring chickens no more, man,” the Chopper City rapper added. “You’ve got to make sure you get your rest and make sure that your body and health are just all the way intact.”

The New Orleans veteran also revealed that VERZUZ cofounder Swizz Beatz was particularly disappointed by Wayne’s absence, as the Young Money founder’s participation had been a key factor in getting the event approved.

“Swizz was, you know, even hurt behind it because … that’s the reason Swizz pulled the trigger on it, because Wayne … agreed,” B.G. shared. Despite Wayne’s absence, the VERZUZ battle lived up to its billing as a celebration of Southern hip-hop history.

Mia X delivered a powerhouse performance that earned her widespread acclaim online, with fans and peers alike praising her commanding stage presence.

Juvenile, stepping up for Cash Money, brought energy and nostalgia with crowd favorites like “Back That Azz Up” and “Ha,” drawing rave reactions from attendees and social media alike.

In a bittersweet postscript, No Limit’s Young Bleed, who participated in the event, was hospitalized following a serious medical emergency shortly after the performance. According to reports, he remains under medical care.

While No Limit ultimately claimed victory, the evening underscored the enduring legacy of both camps—and, as B.G. made clear, Lil Wayne’s absence was a matter of health, not hostility.

PREVIOUSLY: Reneé Rapp has been criss-crossing North America for the past month on her headlining Bite Me tour. But over the weekend, the singer and former Sex Lives of College Girls star had to pump the brakes on two planned late-tour dates on doctor’s orders.

“In my career I have never had to do this before — but I have to reschedule tonight and tomorrow’s shows,” she wrote on Sunday on her Instagram Story of the gig originally planned for Sunday (Oct. 26) at State Farm Arena in Atlanta and another scheduled for Monday (Oct 27) at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Fla. “I’ve been pushing through an illness but my body has finally given out. My doctors have told me that it isn’t safe to perform due to the need for vocal rest and physical recovery” she added.

Rapp told fans that the Tampa show will now take place on Nov. 4 and the Atlanta stop has been pushed to Nov. 5. All original tickets will be honored for the new dates. In the meantime, Rapp said, the show scheduled for the Spectrum Centre in Charlotte, N.C. on Wednesday (Oct. 29) is still scheduled to move forward as planned.

“I truly appreciate how much time, planning and preparation goes into coming to a show,” Rapp wrote. “I can’t describe to you how sorry I am to have to move things around. I love you all and I will see you soon.”

After the final three North American dates, Rapp will be back on the road in early 2026 for a European swing that is slated to kick off on March 11 at Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium and keep her on the road through a March 22 show at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

Billboard’s Live Music Summit will be held in Los Angeles on Nov. 3. For tickets and more information click here.

Stars Who Have the Illness – Hollywood Life

With the news of Justin Timberlake‘s Lyme disease diagnosis, many are wondering why it seems that so many celebrities have the illness. Over the years, fans learned that some of Hollywood’s biggest names were living with the medical condition, such as Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Osbourne and more.

Conspiracy theories about show business have formed and mutated over the years, with the most notorious being the “celebrities die in 3s” rumor. So, why is Lyme disease such a common diagnosis?

Below, Hollywood Life explains everything you need to know about Lyme disease and which celebrities were diagnosed with it.

Why Do So Many Celebrities Have Lyme Disease?

It seems that a large portion of Hollywood has revealed Lyme disease diagnoses, and that’s because the illness is common in the United States. More than 400,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with Lyme disease each year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Lyme Disease Symptoms

The most commonly reported symptoms of Lyme disease include fever, headache, fatigue, facial paralysis, an irregular heartbeat, arthritis and a skin rash called erythema migrans, according to the CDC.

Can You Die From Lyme Disease?

Yes, but only in rare cases. According to the Cleveland Clinic, Lyme disease has resulted in few deaths, and there are treatments for the illness. However, if it’s left untreated, symptoms may linger for years.

Danielle Jonas

During an interview with Parents published in October 2025, Danielle revealed her Lyme disease diagnosis, noting that doctors initially “tried to tell [her] it was anxiety.”

“Finally, I had a biopsy that showed I actually had Lyme disease,” Danielle told the publication. “I also had eczema on my scalp, which was likely from the inflammation [from the illness]. The hair loss was very traumatic. I got to a point where I wanted to wear a wig.”

Justin Bieber

In a since-deleted January 2020 Instagram caption, Justin revealed he had “recently” been diagnosed with Lyme disease in addition to a “serious case of chronic mono which affected [his] skin, brain function, energy, and overall health.”

Avril Lavigne

Since her 2015 diagnosis, Avril has opened up about her battle against Lyme disease. She once wrote on her website that she had “accepted death and could feel [her] body shutting down.”

Justin Timberlake

In July 2025, Justin shared a lengthy Instagram post about his diagnosis, admitting he would “be on stage … in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.”

“Among other things, I’ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease — which I don’t say so you feel bad for me — but to shed some light on what I’ve been up against behind the scenes,” the “Mirrors” crooner wrote. “If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.”

Shania Twain

In 2003, Shania was bitten by a tick, which resulted in Lyme disease. In her doc, Not Just a Girl, the music artist said her voice “was never the same again.”

“I thought I’d lost my voice forever,” Shania admitted. “I thought that was it, [and] I would never, ever sing again.”

Riley Keough

Riley told Vanity Fair in 2023 that she lives with Lyme disease.

Yolanda Hadid

Yolanda has opened up about her condition over the years. In September 2024, she wrote in an Instagram post that she had been battling Lyme disease for 15 years.

Bella Hadid

Bella was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012 and updated fans in August 2023 about her journey.

“I have so much gratitude for and perspective on life, this 100+ days of Lyme, chronic disease, co infection treatment, almost 15 years of invisible suffering, was all worth it if I’m able to, God willing, have a lifetime of spreading love from a full cup, and being able to truly be myself, for the first time ever,” Bella wrote via Instagram at the time.

Ben Stiller

In October 2011, Ben told The Hollywood Reporter that he caught the disease in Nantucket, Massachusetts, “a couple years” prior.

“My knee became inflamed and they couldn’t figure out what it was, then they found out it was Lyme,” the actor-director told the publication. “I’m symptom-free now, but Lyme doesn’t ever leave your system. It’s a really tough thing.”

Alec Baldwin

Alec was infected by the bacteria around 20 years ago. During a 2021 podcast interview, he recalled how he got bitten by a tick.

“August of one summer I was standing on my friend’s porch at night, and it was a cool evening — it wasn’t a hot, steamy evening — and I felt literally this wave go over my back and over my shoulders and kind of wrap around me like a chill,” the actor said. “And I got just attacked. It came like someone snapped their fingers and put a spell on me.”

Amy Schumer

Amy broke the news of her diagnosis in a September 2020 social media post, noting she may have had the illness “for years.”

Kelly Osbourne

In her memoir, There Is No F*cking Secret: Letters From a Badass Bitch, Kelly unpacked her Lyme disease diagnosis and journey. She was bitten by a tick in England in 2004 and went undiagnosed for years.

‘I’m not ready to die yet’: Dolly Parton breaks silence on illness rumours – National

by jummy84 October 9, 2025
written by jummy84

UPDATE: Dolly Parton wants her fans to know that even though “there’s just a lot of rumours out there,” she’s doing fine.

Parton said that “lately everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am” and wanted to address her health issues in a video on Instagram.

“Well, today’s October the 8th, and obviously I’m here. … Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here,” Parton said on set of a commercial for the Grand Ole Opry. “I wanted to put everybody’s mind at ease, those that seem to be real concerned, which I appreciate – and I appreciate your prayers, ’cause I’m a person of faith, I can always use the prayers for anything and everything – but I want you to know that I’m OK!”

“I’ve got some problems, as I’ve mentioned,” Parton continued. “Back when my husband Carl was very sick – that was for a long time – and then when he passed, I didn’t take care of myself, so I let a lot of things go that I should have been taking care of. So anyway, when I got around to it, the doctor said, we need to take care of this. We need to take care of that.”

Parton said that it’s “nothing major, but I did have to cancel some things so I could be closer to home” and closer to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, “where I’m kind of having a few treatments here and there, but I wanted you to know that I’m not dying.”

She also joked about an AI photo circulating online that showed her on her “death bed” with Reba McEntire by her side.

“Did you see that AI picture of Reba and me? Oh, lordy! I mean, they had Reba at my deathbed, and we both look like we need to be buried. I thought, oh, my Lord. But if I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my deathbed. She might come visit me earlier,” she added.

“There’s just a lot of rumours flying around, but I figured if you heard it from me, you’d know that I was okay,” she said. “So anyhow, that’s what I wanted to say and I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me and I ain’t done working. So I love you for caring, and keep praying for me.”

“I want to clear something up,” Freida, 68, wrote in a Facebook post. “I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly.”

Freida said that Parton, 79, has “been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer.”

“It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister. Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference,” she added.

Earlier on Tuesday, Freida took to Facebook to share an update on the Jolene singer, with a photo of Parton praying.

“Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately,” she wrote. “I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me.

“She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you.”

Hours after Freida’s latest post, Parton’s sister Stella, 76, also shared an update on Facebook, speaking out about the criticism she’s received from fans for not speaking out about her sister’s health.

“My big sister Dolly posted last week, giving her fans an update concerning her health and that she has been seeking treatment for kidney stones,” Stella wrote.

She said Freida “is concerned” and asked “for prayers on Dolly’s behalf.”

“I personally, respect the privacy of ALL my family members and will not disrespect them by discussing their personal business with anyone,” she continued. “If you need further information please go to their pages. That being said, those of you who feel the need to attack or insult me because I don’t serve as your information booth you aren’t really fans.

“If you were you would not make such an effort to say some of the hurtful things you’ve posted on my different social media platforms in the past 24 hours! I personally, appreciate those of you with sincere concerns on Dolly’s behalf and so do my family members.”

Parton postponed her first Las Vegas residency in 32 years due to “health challenges” in late September. She did not elaborate on what her health issues are.

Story continues below advertisement

The country music icon announced the news in a post on Instagram on Sept. 28, telling fans that she wanted them “to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts.”

“As many of you know, I’ve been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!” the 9 to 5 singer wrote.

“In all seriousness, given this, I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you.”

She assured fans not to “worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet.”

Parton was scheduled to perform six shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for Dolly: Live in Las Vegas between Dec. 4 and Dec. 13, overlapping with the National Finals Rodeo. Her dates have been moved to September 2026.

Earlier in September, Parton cancelled her planned attendance at an announcement of a new ride at her Tennessee theme park, Dollywood.

“I had a kidney stone that was causing me a lot of problems, turned out it’d given me an infection and the doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be travelling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better,’” Parton said in a video announcement at the time.

James Van Der Beek Exits ‘Dawson’s Creek’ Reunion Due to Illness

by jummy84 September 21, 2025
written by jummy84

James Van Der Beek took to Instagram Sunday evening to reveal he will not be joining Monday’s “Dawson’s Creek” reunion due to a stomach illness. Luckily for fans, he has a Tony-winning understudy to take his place: Lin-Manuel Miranda.

“This is the evening I’d been looking forward to MOST since my angel Michelle Williams said she was putting it together, way back in January,” he wrote. “So you can imagine how gutted I was when two stomach viruses conspired to knock me out of commission and keep me grounded at the worst possible moment. Despite every effort… I won’t get to be there.”

“But I DO have an understudy,” he contiuned. “A ridiculously overqualified replacement who would have been #1 on my wishlist (had I ever dreamed he’d be available). Someone my kids would definitely consider an upgrade over me… Plus, he already knows how to get to the theater. So that’s convenient. The role of “Dawson”, usually played by James Van Der Beek…Will be played by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Can’t belive I just got to type that.”

More to come…
