New Music Friday September 5: Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, LANY, Lizzo, Latto, Ice Spice and More

Happy New Music Friday! The weekend is here, which means more streaming, new playlists and the best that music has to offer — and ET has you covered for everything in between.

Justin Bieber is back with SWAG II. The 23-track project features production by Justin in collaboration with Carter Lang, Dylan Wiggins, Dijon, mk.gee, Daniel Chetrit, Eddie Benjamin, Mike Will, Camper and more. Justin’s seventh studio album, SWAG, debuted as the most consumed album worldwide, landing at #1 on the Top Streaming, Pop and R&B Album Charts, marking the 10th Billboard 200 Top 5 album of his career and his 50th Billboard Global 200 hit. The album topped both the Spotify and Apple Music Album Charts, reaching #1 over 100 territories globally.

Lady Gaga released the music video for her new single “The Dead Dance,” which she debuted this week on Netflix’s “Wednesday” Season 2 (Part 2). The project marks her first creative collaboration with director Tim Burton. She and fiance Michael Polansky produced the video alongside Tim and Natalie Testa. Lady Gaga made a cameo as the mysterious Rosaline Rotwood on “Wednesday.” She shared “the inspiration for ‘The Dead Dance’ was a breakup. and it was all about the way that we sometimes feel when it’s over; how a relationship ending can kill our ability to feel hopeful about love.” Lady Gaga will make her return to the MTV VMAs where she will perform live from Madison Square Garden.

Tate McRae will also take the VMAs main stage for the first time. She is up for 6 awards and is currently in the middle of her Miss Possessive Tour. She kicked off the North American leg of her sold out tour last month. The tour supports her third studio album, So Close To What, which was released earlier this year.

MTV announced a powerhouse tribute of Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler & Joe Perry, YUNGBLUD and Nuno Bettencourt, all coming together for a once-in-a-lifetime performance honoring the legendary Ozzy Osbourne, with a medley of his greatest hits. The MTV VMAs hosted by LL Cool J airs September 7 on CBS, MTV & stream on Paramount+.

The Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) announced it will honor music industry icons John Legend, Irving Azoff, Kai Cenat, Apple & Apple Music, Sherrese Clarke and Primary Wave Music at its fifth annual BMAC Gala taking place on September 18 at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Mickey Guyton and Kenny Burns will host the event and celebrate the artists, executives, activists and brands who are using their platforms to advance equity and inspire change.

Latto & Ice Spice Receive Mixed Reactions To Surprise Collab: They Could’ve Kept It

Pigs might be flying because #Latto and #IceSpice got in the booth…together. ?

On Wednesday (Sept. 3), a cover for a collab of the rappers hit the internet and had the people shook. It was initially speculated that the artists would drop the track, #Gyatt, on Friday. Given their history and previous beef, many were unsure if the news was even real. However, the rappers shocked fans by confirming the record, releasing it early, and teasing that a music video is on the way.

Reactions to the single are mixed. Some praised the collab, while others weren’t impressed, with one X user writing, “Latto and Ice Spice just dropped a song and they could’ve kept it.” A few even suspect that, despite seemingly squashing their feud, the two may still be trading subliminal shots in the lyrics.

What do you think? Happy to see more rap girlies coming together? #TJBReacts

Watch Latto and Ice Spice’s Video for New Song “Gyatt”

by jummy84 September 5, 2025
written by jummy84

Latto and Ice Spice have come together for a new song called “Gyatt.” It comes with a new video directed by Hidji World. The wrestling-themed clip boasts cameos from internet personalities Deshae Frost and Tylil James and Love Island star JaNa Craig. Watch it below.

“Gyatt” is co-produced by Go Grizzly, Pooh Beatz, RiotUSA, and Supakaine. It’s Latto’s first single since May’s “Somebody” and Ice Spice’s first since the Katseye collaboration “Gnarly (Ice Spice Remix).”

“Gyatt” also puts a rest to any simmering beef that Latto and Ice Spice may have had. Some fans have speculated that Ice Spice was taking shots at Latto on “Think U the Shit (Fart),” and Latto herself may have played into the narrative when she posted on X, “Think I’m the shit , bitch ?????”

Ice Spice, in an interview with Rolling Stone, later discussed the apparently feud. “I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me,” she said. “I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U the Shit’ is from January. You’re going to post a piece of shit cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me… again.”

Latto And Ice Spice’s Feud Explained: A Timeline

by jummy84 September 5, 2025
written by jummy84

The tension between Latto and Ice Spice has been brewing since fans first pitted the two against each other for having similar Y2K-inspired styles last year. With Ice often credited for bringing the trend back and Latto accused of hopping on her wave, comparisons quickly spiraled into an internet frenzy.

Before long, the chatter turned into lyrical jabs, subliminal tweets, and subtle shade across interviews between the two rap stars. From alleged copycat poses to lyrical jabs, what started as a fan-fueled rivalry snowballed into one of rap’s most buzzed-about feuds.

However, the two have called a truce through music with their first-ever collaboration, “Gyatt.” In the cover art for the track, the two appear to be in a wrestling ring as the song title is written in WWE-inspired lettering.

So far, many netizens have dubbed the song as some of Ice’s “best rapping” and have applauded the women for squashing their “beef” in a mature manner.

Listen to their track here and take a look at a timeline of their prior beef below.

  • The Spark

Latto teased her “Sunday Service” single online last year (February 2024) with a video of her rapping in a sprinter. Ice Spice noticed a clip of her “Pretty Girl” video with Rema playing in the background and felt shaded. She fired back on wax with “Think U The Sht (Fart),” rapping: “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up / She all on the floor, told her get up.” Fans read that as a direct jab at Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor,” where she rapped: “Do you rap or do you tweet/ Cause I can’t tell, get in the booth bi**h.”

Fans also began saying that Latto was copying Ice Spice’s signature bent-over pose. Latto responded on X at the time with, “Every time y’all accuse me of copying folks ima clear it up. Nun mo nun less. I don’t like how y’all take my tweets & make them fit ur weak a** narratives.”

  • The Confirmation

    Ice SpiceIce Spice

During an X Spaces conversation that same month, Ice made it clear her “(Fart)” song was aimed at Latto:
“Seeing that I’m in the back of your weak a** snippet. So I was like, ‘Wait a second — that’s me?’ So I’m like, ‘Okay, since we’re talking about me, let’s talk about me,’ and I dropped that. I was like, ‘This has to be fake — this is AI,’ but bi**hes be bold, so I was like, ‘Alright, we’re being bold today.’”

  • The Subliminal Jabs

    LattoLatto

From there, both rappers released songs staking claim to being “the sh*t” or the “stankiest fart,” fueling a tit-for-tat exchange that kept fans speculating. In June 2024, Latto uploaded a picture of her team gifting her with a celebratory cake for her career milestone, with a jab at Spice. The picture showed a poop emoji cake with the statement, “Holy sh*t, you’re Headlining,” written underneath.

If the shot wasn’t obvious enough, Latto used the photo’s caption to drive the point home, typing, “Think I’m the s*t, bi**h?????,” which is a direct reference to Spice’s “Think U the Sh*t (Fart)” single.

  • The Interviews

Ice Spice addressed the beef in her Rolling Stone September 2024 cover story, saying: “I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her, ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me.” She added, “I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U the Sh*t’ is from January.”

Pointing to Latto’s birthday cake celebrating her becoming the first woman to headline Atlanta’s Birthday Bash, Ice said: “You’re going to post a piece of sh*t cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me again.”*

Meanwhile, Latto gave her perspective on Ice Spice in a Billboard cover story: “If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like Imma go tit for tat with. I really don’t mean it as shade. Would she even want to do that? I feel like she’s doing her in her lane. It’s two different types of vibes. I don’t even think she gives me like, ‘Oh, she wants to engage in an actual rap beef.’”

She continued, “Everybody gon’ take their lil jabs in the music, and it’s not even that serious to me; I feel like you should do that. Continue to! But as far as actual whole diss records to each other, I don’t think she would even want to do that. I feel like… would it even make sense? It wouldn’t.”

While appearing on Funny Marco’s Open Thoughts show last year (September 2024), Latto threw shade while critiquing aspiring rappers.

“It gives me like… Ice Spice. It was like, ‘I’m so cute, grah’” she said. Ice, however, brushed it off, clarifying that the feud started as a joke, “I feel like it was a joke, but it became a bigger thing when Latto dragged it out. If there is any real issue between us, it isn’t on my side.”

  • The Reconciliation

Latto and Ice Spice shocked the world when they announced their first musical collab together. The two dropped their song, “Gyatt,” on Thursday (Sept. 4) with the music video to come at midnight (Sept. 5). In the cover art for the track, the two appear in a wrestling ring with WWE-inspired lettering above them.

Latto’s last project was Sugar Honey Iced Tea, as Ice Spice’s most recent project is Y2K!. Take a listen to the track below.

‘Ice Road Truckers’ to Return for Season 12 on History Channel After 8-Year Break

by jummy84 September 3, 2025
written by jummy84

Just as summer is coming to an end, the History Channel’s chilliest reality series is coming back to the small screen.

On Wednesday, September 3, it was revealed that Ice Road Truckers will return with brand new episodes this October after eight years off the air. Created, executive produced, and narrated by Thom Beers, the series debuted on the History Channel in 2007 and ran for 11 seasons until going on an indefinite hiatus in 2017.

Season 12 will see the return of stars Todd Dewey and Lisa Kelly, as well as feature a new group of rookie truck drivers. The series will continue to follow the drivers as they face dangerous conditions while working to transport supplies to remote areas across Canada and Alaska.

“From its original series premiere in 2007 to a several years long hiatus, the fearless truckers return like never before to the treacherous terrain of icy roads and frozen lakes in Northern Canada delivering crucial supplies and necessities to isolated communities,” reads a Wednesday press release. “With a winter window shorter than ever and no time to waste, these drivers risk everything to haul in a lifeline of goods while chasing big paydays before the opportunity melts away under their chained tires.”

Kelly originally starred on Seasons 3 through 5 of Ice Road Truckers before returning for Season 7 in 2013. Dewey, for his part, joined the show during Season 7 and continued to appear on the series through Season 11 with Kelly.

“The timing couldn’t be better to bring back a beloved series that once resonated with our viewers for over a decade,” Eli Lehrer, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming for the History Channel, said in a Wednesday press release statement. “We’re pleased to have this new season of Ice Road Truckers be a co-production with our Canadian partners at Corus Entertainment as this season ventures into a new era of storytelling for the series that infuses fresh energy and new challenges while honoring its rich legacy.”

Former cast member Alex Debogorski was the only person to appear on all 11 seasons of the show. Hugh Rowland appeared on Seasons 1 through 8 of the show, while Season 11 also featured Art Burke, Reno Ward, Steph Custance, and Mark Kohaykewych.

The Ice Road Truckers community faced tragedy in 2016, as Darrell Ward — who appeared on Season 6 through 10 — died in a plane crash at the age of 52. Multiple outlets reported at the time that Ward was flying from the Great American Truck Show in Dallas to Missoula, Montana, to film a pilot of a show about the recovery of plane wrecks.

Original Productions and Eagle Vision produce Ice Road Truckers for the History Channel and Corus Entertainment. Jeff Hasler, Brian Lovett, Meredith Prunkard, and Patrick Costello serve as executive producers for Original Productions, while Kyle Irving, Lisa Meeches, and Rebecca Gibson executive produce for Eagle Vision. Lehrer, Mary E. Donahue, and Alex Hicks also serve as executive producers for the History Channel.

Ice Road Truckers, Season 12 Premiere, Wednesday, October 1, 9:30/8:30c, History Channel

written by jummy84

Roommates, the internet has been introduced to a duo nobody saw coming — Ice Spice and Kehlani. Viral footage of the rapper and singer shows them getting extra spicy while turning up in the club and now social media is sharing their thoughts on the random link up. Let’s get into it!

Kehlani & Ice Spice Shake Up The Club With Light Night Out

Okay, so BOOM! The Shade Room snagged footage of Ice Spice and Kehlani, and babyyyy they looked like they were having a timeeee at the club okay! The clip shows the duo turning up to Ice’s ‘Deli’ track. Ice, in true fashion, lip-synced every word while she backed it up on Lani. Kehlani clearly felt the vibes heavy as she danced up behind Ice with her hands on her hips at times. As if that wasn’t enough, LiveBitez dropped another video showing them getting litty amongst a packed crowd, giving straight “you had to be there” energy.

Fans React To Ice Spice & Kehlani’s Spicy Club Vibes

Folks had plenty to say about Ice and Keh’s link-up over in The Shade Room’s comment section. Some said they both looked FOINE, while others couldn’t stop talking about how they were getting down in the section.

Instagram user @idkwhat2say wrote, “Kehlani like 👀 I like the way you body is, is that too obvious 🤣”

Instagram user @katricem_ wrote, “She just dancing but Kehlani dead serious 🤣🤣🤣🤣”

While Instagram user @its_onsight714 wrote, “Kehlani on demon time and that girl just tryna dance😩🤣🤣”

Then Instagram user @sliimgoooody wrote, “I see that look in Kehlani eye 😂”

Instagram user @crennnae wrote, “Kehlani said I’m leaving here with summm👀”

While another Instagram user @ginajyneen wrote, “Ice is looking goooood again 😍”

Then another Instagram user @the_realnina wrote, “Y’all forget Kehlani is still a girl and do girl things. All females do this, but yall wanna say something cause she like girls. ARE YALL COO?!?!”

Finally, Instagram user @alstaylit_ wrote, “Ice just enjoying herself dancing meanwhile Melanie back there plotting 😂😂😂”

Is Soulja Boy Trying To Make Moves On Ice Spice?

Chile, before Ice Spice and Kehlani’s turn-up session started going viral, the internet had its eyes on Ice Ice for a totally different reason. The ‘Hannah Montana’ raptress started trending after Soulja Boy seemingly shot his shot at her when Wave Checkers shared recent pics of Ice on X (formerly Twitter). Soulja reposted the pics with the caption, All I need is 5 mins maybe 10 she gonna wanna marry a n***a. Fans quickly peeped that the line ended up coming from the classic ‘Friday’ movie.

bitchy | Dean Cain, 59, could barely limp his way through the ICE training obstacle course

by jummy84 August 25, 2025
written by jummy84

It’s a big competition to find the most chilling or infuriating piece of news about the Trump administration. For my money, one of the biggest candidates for “the worst thing about this whole sh-tshow” is that Congress gave ICE $76.5 BILLION in “new money,” with $30 billion for new staff. Taxpayers are now paying for a ramped-up, mercenary-lite faux-police force with little training and broad authority to arrest, abuse and detain people at will. With this new funding, ICE has loosened their restrictions on who can join. They’re now accepting applications from 18-year-olds with no experience and wingnut actors in their 50s. Speaking of, Dean Cain made a big deal, several weeks ago, about how he applied to be an ICE agent. Someone published Cain trying to go through an ICE-training obstacle course and… well… it did not go well for the 59-year-old.

First of all, if this was just some random 59-year-old guy doing a random obstacle course, I would not judge this. I wouldn’t care at all! It’s specific to this guy and this obstacle course. Dude thought he was signing up to be a big SS officer with a gun, rounding up minorities, and he can barely crawl through a pipe.

It’s been more than a quarter-century since Dean Cain played the Man of Steel—and it shows. The 59-year-old actor has begun his training to become an “honorary” ICE officer after signing up earlier this month as part of the agency’s massive recruitment drive, and Fox News was there to witness his efforts. In a Saturday morning segment on Fox & Friends, correspondent Alexis McAdams interviewed Cain at an ICE training facility in Brunswick, Georgia, about his decision to join ICE. Cain explained to McAdams that he joined because he “stand[s] with our law enforcement.”

”People don’t realize, they think that ICE is this horrible, nefarious group and they’re not—they’re phenomenal people,” he said.

The segment then cut to footage of Cain struggling to make his way through an obstacle course that took him over a wall, through a tunnel and required him to drag a dummy around. He was also filmed firing guns at a shooting range alongside acting ICE director Todd Lyons, who previously expressed a desire for turning the deportation process into something ”like [Amazon] Prime, but with human beings.”

Commenters on social media were quick to highlight Cain’s lack of prowess on the course, with one person noting, “So they can literally just easily run from this dude and not get caught. Cool.” Another asked if the video was slowed down, while someone else said that the footage proved Cain never did his own stunts. ”It’s kinda like watching a dog agility show but with a senior dog near death that attempts the course to the sympathetic applause from the audience,” one X user said.

[From The Daily Beast]

The Fox News banner is like “look, Superman joined ICE!” And it’s just some out-of-shape has-been who desperately needs a knee brace, a couple of anti-inflammatory pills and some Icy Hot. About the whole Superman thing… again, Superman is an immigrant. He “came” to America illegally, in a spaceship or whatever. The “actual” Superman would not join ICE.
