Farah wrote about how her mother lovingly raised her and her siblings, highlighting Zarine Khan’s strength, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her family. “She shaped me and my siblings in her image — she loved generously and gave without flinching. She had a golden heart, just like the meaning of her beautiful name, Zarine, which means ‘golden’ or ‘to shine.’ And shine she did — the brightest of all — as she left her earthly abode for her heavenly one. Thank you, God, for my mother. Thank you for all the love she received. Thank you that she lives on in me and my siblings. We will carry her legacy forward,” she concluded.

On November 7, Sunjay Khan’s wife and former actor Zarine Khan breathed her last at their Mumbai residence, at the age of 81. Mother of Sussanne Khan, Zayed Khan, Farah Khan Ali and Simone Arora, Zarine had reportedly been suffering from age-related ailments for a long time. Born a Parsi and married as a Muslim, the late actor was cremated according to Hindu rites on the day of her death. Later on November 10, Zarine’s loved ones got together for her prayer meet, where her family members, including former son-in-law Hrithik Roshan, paid their last respects.

Hrithik Roshan, who was earlier married to Sussanne Khan, fondly remembered his former mother-in-law Zarine Khan in a video from the prayer meet, shared by Farah Khan Ali. The actor shared, “It has been my privilege to love and be loved by you.” Hrithik and Sussanne’s son Hridaan Roshan also paid tribute to his naani, stating: “She carried this calmness, this kindness, that made everyone around her feel cared for.” Sussanne’s brother and Zarine’s son Zayed Khan, on the other hand, shared, “My mother was my God. I’ll miss her deeply.” In the audience, Sussanne and her family attempted to hold back tears during the emotional event.

The film tells the true story of 120 Indian soldiers from the 13 Kumaon Regiment, who fought bravely in the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 India-China war. Farhan Akhtar plays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, a Param Vir Chakra awardee who led his men in one of the most heroic stands in Indian military history.

Hrithik is posing in a white attire, complete with a trendy jacket and matching blue jeans, while Jackie Chan is dressed in navy-blue monochrome. What’s more interesting is that both celebrities are posing wearing identical hats, creating a playful touch to the photograph. Capturing the moment, Hrithik has titled the post, “Fancy meeting you here, sir, @jackiechan. My broken bones look up to your broken bones. Forever and always.”

This was not the first meeting between the two superstars. Hrithik and Jackie had first met in 2019 at the China premiere of Hrithik’s Kaabil. They also came together again in 2022 at the Red Sea International Film Festival, where their pictures went viral on social media in no time.

Hrithik’s recent meeting with Jackie Chan occurred while he was holidaying with his girlfriend Saba Azad. Posting a happy selfie with Saba and filmmaker Danish Renzu of Songs of Paradise, Hrithik captioned, “Happy holidays!! Catching the sun with these two supremely talented humans!! Bollywood icon Hrithik Roshan has won an important legal battle against deepfakes and abuse of celebrity identity. The Delhi High Court has restrained officially people and platforms from using Hrithik’s name, image, voice, or likeness in any AI-made or false content without his clear consent.

The move is timely when AI and deepfake videos are spreading fast in India, tending to blur the reality vs. fiction line. Hrithik, a face closely identifiable and marketable as any from Bollywood, stood firm to safeguard his reputation and image from being used for nefarious purposes online.

Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora, the judge hearing the case, ordered various internet sites and listings misusing Hrithik’s name to remove the content immediately. But the court was at pains to say that genuine fan sites and fan clubs will not be touched — only those leasing his persona for profit or false promotions are under this order.

The court highlighted that the use of a celebrity’s face, voice, or edited clips not only deceives people but also infringes on their publicity and personality rights. In short, no person or entity can derive profit from Hrithik’s personality or develop AI content mimicking him without the fear of prosecution.

This interim order is a significant development in directing how India addresses AI abuse and digital impersonation, particularly with regards to public personalities. The issue is to come back for a detailed hearing in March 2026, when the court can give a final ruling.

Hrithik’s move to court also mirrors a wider trend within the film world, as celebrities increasingly head to court to protect their online personas. Recently, other celebrities such as Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Karan Johar, and Kumar Sanu have similarly approached court with petitions against the use of their face in such counterfeit or AI-based videos.

Deepfakes are increasingly becoming an issue all over the world, with a number of actors and celebrities being at the center of doctored videos or audio recordings that can tarnish reputations or deceive viewers.

For Hrithik Roshan, the case is a signficant victory not only for him but for celebrity rights in India. Hrithik Roshan Gets Relief As Delhi High Court Protects Personality Rights

According to Lakshmikumaran Sridharan Attorneys, the term ‘celebrity’ is often seen as a mark of success and honour. Athletes and artists earn it through talent, businesspeople and TV personalities through wit, politicians via votes, and some acquire it by birth or chance involvement in high-profile events.

When celebrities seek to protect their personality rights, there are two key aspects: first, the right to prevent unauthorised commercial use of their image, known as publicity rights under intellectual property law; and second, the right to privacy, which is the right to be left alone.

According to a Law Beat report, Hrithik was granted relief by the Delhi High Court, which directed the removal of certain posts infringing on his personality rights, including unauthorized use of his name, image, and likeness. However, the court declined to order the immediate takedown of fan pages dedicated to him, stating that fans’ pages cannot be removed at this stage without proper proceedings.

Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora explained that fan clubs should be given a chance to respond, and the matter will be revisited on March 27, 2026.

Which Celebs Have Sought Personal Rights?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was among the first to legally defend her personality rights, followed by her husband Abhishek Bachchan, Karan Johar, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and journalist Sudhir Chaudhary. Now, Hrithik Roshan has also taken legal action.

The beauty mogul and reality TV star has joined the cast of The Moment, an upcoming A24 film based on an original idea by pop singer Charli XCX. Kylie confirmed the news on October 9 by reposting a Deadline article via Instagram Stories, along with a behind-the-scenes photo with Charli, adorned with green heart emojis — a nod to Charli’s Brat aesthetic.

Directed by Aidan Zamiri and co-written by Zamiri and Bertie Brandes, The Moment is set to release in 2026 and promises a bold, pop-centric narrative. The story follows a rising pop star navigating the pressures of fame and the demands of preparing for her first arena tour — a fitting theme given Kylie’s own experience with public life and the entertainment industry.

This marks Kylie Jenner’s first scripted acting role outside of her reality TV fame in Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Kardashians. Though she had a brief cameo as herself in the 2018 heist-comedy Ocean’s 8, The Moment is her first significant acting venture.

Kylie joins a star-studded ensemble cast including Rachel Sennott, Kate Berlant, and Charli XCX herself. The supporting cast features Alexander Skarsgård, Rosanna Arquette, Jamie Demetriou, Hailey Benton Gates, Trew Mullen, and Shygirl, among others. A.G. Cook, Charli’s longtime collaborator, will be working on the film’s music.

Expectations were sky high for Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2, which was released in theatres during the Independence Day window. The action thriller opened to mostly mixed reviews and underperformed at the box office. On Friday, more than a month since the film’s release, Hrithik has opened up about playing Kabir in the action thriller, hinting at the film’s box office performance. Sharing BTS stills of the film during the shoot, Hrithik penned a long note on the process of taking on the sequel and said in the caption, “Playing kabir was so much fun. So relaxed , knew him so well. It was going to be easy. Finally a movie I could do like so many others do, keep it simple , play the actor, do your job and come home. And it was exactly that. I was taken care of so well by my director Ayaan. It was such a pleasure to have his energy on set.”

He added, “Everything seemed so perfect. Like it’s meant to be. A sure shot. No worries , just needed to do my job right. Which Ofcourse I did. But something was lurking behind that presumptuous certainty. A voice that I kept shutting out..”This is too easy … I know this too well.” And another that said “I deserve it , every film doesn’t have to be a torture and trauma and an incessant search for the truth of the moment.””Just relax.””

About War 2

Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is the sixth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3. Apart from Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, the film also stars Ashutosh Rana and Kiara Advani in key roles. The film opened to mixed-to-negative reviews from critics, with many criticising its dull writing and poor VFX.

Sources reported that War 2 has a landing cost of ₹400 crore for Yash Raj Studios. This includes the production budget and marketing costs. The film managed to collect slightly above ₹ 235 crore in India.
