Hot Pilates Founder Shannon Nadj Shares the Rituals Keeping Her and Hollywood’s It-Girls Grounded and Glowing

Well-rounded wellness is in. Hot Pilates founder Shannon Nadj sat down with ET to mark the 11th anniversary of her heated Pilates studio in West Hollywood, California, and to share the rituals she’s prioritizing as she heads into 2026.

The celebrity instructor behind the sculpted silhouettes of Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Shay Mitchell, Lori Harvey, Sofia Richie, and Selena Gomez has been expanding her approach to offer a true mind-body-soul destination.

“We truly believe workouts are just one part of the bigger picture when it comes to wellness. One of the core principles of Pilates is the mind-body connection, which to me means nurturing our inner world just as much as our outer one,” Nadj explains.

Lately, her focus has shifted towards pairing movement with restorative rituals by offering sound baths and co-hosting events with lymphatic drainage hot spot Sous La Los Angeles, conveniently located right next door to her heated and reformer Pilates spaces.

“I’ve been taking care of my mental health by focusing on breath work, meditation, and slowing down. … Sound baths support our well-being on a cellular level, while services like those from Sous La align with our philosophy of intentional self-care.”

Still, Nadj never strays far from the signature sweat and glow that put her fitness destination on the map.

“Prioritizing movement helps us age gracefully and stay strong enough to keep doing the things that bring us joy. Beyond the physical benefits, maintaining a routine builds discipline, and over time, that turns into confidence we can carry with us far beyond our workouts. … Plus, releasing endorphins is like getting a natural boost from our body’s own pharmacy.”

Right now, that means prioritizing low-impact, high-reward workouts that deliver strength without spiking stress.

“I’m currently loving low cortisol workouts with heated mat Pilates and reformer classes,” she says.

And once she leaves, Nadj’s commitment doesn’t slow down. Instead, it simply shifts into a cozier version of TLC.

“I use the hyperbaric chamber at Remedy Place, Normatec compression boots a few times a week to help with inflammation, and do dry brushing in the winter to help with circulation and dry skin. For my face, I use the Celluma LED red light therapy mask, and I keep a humidifier in each room because it gets so dry in L.A.”

The Pilates pro is equally intentional about how she fuels her body.

“I follow an anti-inflammatory meal plan and take TruNiagen supplements and Peptides BPC157 at Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Group for inflammation and muscle tissue recovery. I’ve never felt better,” she shares.

MICE sector service charges hot topic at beam Autumn All Members Meeting

by jummy84 November 19, 2025
written by jummy84

MICE sector service charges were a key discussion point at the association’s Autumn All-Members Meeting on 13th November.

The event, at Woughton House Hotel, included discussions on key industry topics, including a panel session on Service Charge in the MICE Sector.

During the panel, members addressed the need for a consistent and transparent approach if discretionary service charges are used across event venues. Panellists and guests agreed on clearly communicating any service charges from the outset, ensuring they are optional for clients, and guaranteeing that any funds collected are fairly distributed to the event delivery staff. The discussions reflect beam’s new set of service charge guidelines, which will be launched alongside beam’s revised Code of Conduct in early 2026.

Jonathan Read, Leonardo Hotels’ Director of Global Sales & Partnerships UK&I, and one of the day’s panellists, has been actively involved in shaping the service charge guidelines. He shared that internal preparations are already underway across his hotels, stating: “We are proactively training our events teams now so that when beam’s new guidelines launch in the new year, we’ll be fully aligned. The service charge policy will be clear, fair, and visible to every client from day one.”

beam chair, Louisa Watson, reflected on the overall success of the meeting, commenting, “Seeing such engagement and willingness to take part in shaping better practice across our sector has been extraordinary. The service charge guidelines are not a recommendation to charge or not, but guidelines to support all parties for any venue considering it and step forward for transparency and trust in the MICE industry.”

The event concluded on a celebratory note, with attendees raising over £1,000 for Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity through a raffle, demonstrating the community’s commitment to giving back while advancing industry standards.

Hot Takes & Cold Truths About The Grammys

Hot Takes & Cold Truths About The Grammys

by jummy84 November 16, 2025
written by jummy84

On November 7, the nominations were announced for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. The event takes place on February 1, 2026 in L.A. at Crypto.com Arena. The industry is fragmented and watercooler moments are fewer and farther between. There was no “song of the summer” this year, let alone a clear-cut song of the year. It’s more and more an uphill battle to “name that tune” and I’m not sure the Grammys is still the right board to make the call, despite the progress they’ve made. I’m impressed with their website, though, which has cool commentary, fun ways of laying out the nominees, and even a Grammy Music IQ game powered by IBM Watson.

As a culture marketer, I believe that if it’s in the paper today, it’s yesterday’s news. Real-time data is a crucial commodity when it comes to staying on the pulse of culture, and the Grammys are focused on celebrating the year that was, not the year that’s coming. Here are my main takeaways from this year’s nominations:

Who is more relevant: Grammys or TikTok?

With 95 categories, it’s hard for the Grammys not to have some hits. But who do you think wins in terms of media, impressions, and overall relevance? The first ever TikTok Awards this year or the Grammys? TikTok killed the video star of the MTV days, but I don’t think it will have the influence to upend the entire music business.

Grammy Ecosystem is a System

Once you are a Grammy darling, it’s a gift that keeps on giving. Does Billie Eilish deserve to be here for songs she released in 2024? Doechii, last year’s breakout star from the show, was nominated for song of the year with “Anxiety,” even though the track was originally released in 2019 (I’ll admit, the track sums up 2025 quite nicely, though). Kendrick is off cycle and still dominating. On the whole, there may be too many familiar Grammy faces for my taste.

Good Year for Hip-Hop at the Grammys, but Not On The Charts

The Grammys gave hip-hop its biggest look yet this year and I’m excited about that. I remember when they didn’t even televise the category. For years, the Academy was out of step with rap’s dominance of culture, so I’m loving the fact that Clipse is getting the respect they deserve with nominations for album of the year, best rap song, best rap album, and more. If “marketing rollout of the year” was an award, they would be a shoe-in for that, too. Don’t miss their new GQ Men of the year interview either.

But in terms of real-time data, the Academy is a little late. Last week, for the first time in 35 years, there were no hip-hop songs in the Billboard Top 40. At least they won’t get hit with the #GrammysSoWhite hashtag like 2017.

It Takes 10 Years To Be Best New Arist

The best new artist category is always an exciting way to highlight up-and-comers, and the curse of best new artist has been dispelled in the past decade. I mean, you can’t really have a sophomore slump when you get nominated for your fourth project, right?

See, talent like Addison Rae, Leon Thomas, and recent SNL musical guest Sombr have all been around for many, many years. Music executive Riggs Morales summed it up nicely with this emotional post about the Marias, who he signed in 2017. Sometimes overnight success takes 10 years. It just seems like the Grammys have lost the plot a bit with this category.

Snubs!

My personal favorites all got the cold shoulder this year. I’m bummed to not see Role Model get nominated (“Sally…” is my jam). Maybe he jinxed himself saying he’d rather be People’s Sexiest Man of the Year than win a Grammy. He got that award, but took his eyes off the prize.

Speaking of eyes on the prize, Slick Rick’s Victory is a visual masterpiece and a major miss by the Academy. There is no better visual album than this project he put out with Idris Elba and Nas’ Mass Appeal.

BigXthaPlug is my favorite rapper right now. I know he was nominated in 2024 as the XXL Awards’ Best New Artist, but he’s been feeding us hits all year and deserves a look when you talk about artists of the year in 2025.

Perhaps the ultimate snub was of the Grammys themselves. Morgan Wallen, arguably the biggest artist in the country right now, didn’t submit his smash hit album this year, returning to his 2022-2024 stance after last year’s collab with The Weeknd.

Sinners Is Actually The Music Moment of The Year

As someone who doesn’t like scary movies or period pieces, I can say Sinners was one of the best movies ever made on so many levels. There’s a reason it’s got a 97 on Rotten Tomatoes. One of my go-to jokes at cocktail parties is to try to point out the three people who didn’t give it a perfect score. There are two scenes in this movie that will stick with me forever as some of the greatest music scenes in movie history. This film is set up for not only a monstrous Grammy outcome, but major Oscar love around the bend.

The Stage is Set for Bad Bunny

Speaking of around the bend, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better known as Bad Bunny, is up in all the top all-genre categories for his latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which mixes traditional Puerto Rican styles like plena with his more familiar reggaeton and trap. The stage is set for a BIG political statement in California if he crushes the Grammys just a week before he‘ll make history with the first all-Spanish performance at the Super Bowl halftime show This is a story worth telling in America right now and I think can be a storybook win if it plays out the way we hope.

Critical opinions aside, The Grammys are an awesome week for the industry with the parties, brunches, meetings, and music. There are so many tentpole moments to tie in brands and enhance storytelling, and many artists will have their “moment” that will live on for a lifetime. The Clios Music awards take place that week as well, celebrating the best ads and music collaborations. Nue’s very own Alex Kirshbaum is a juror this year, so he’s seeing all of the best in class and is thoroughly inspired.

This is the last year the Grammys will be broadcast with CBS and Paramount. Starting in 2027, they move over to the House of the Mouse, which presents an exciting world of possibilities in which music stars and their stories can be enhanced with the magic of Disney. I wonder with amusement how things will play out over the next few years…

Beats + Bytes goes out each week to a capacity larger than Crypto.com’s arena. Packing out stadiums is one thing, but even more so, I hope this information can inform your job, feed your passion for music, and inspire you in one way or another. It’s a music industry love letter each week. Sharing is caring. If you feel inclined, please send to some friends and colleagues by clicking here: https://nueagency.com/beatsbytes/

How Designer Rio Uribe Overcame 'Being Hot, and Then Not' in Fashion

Designer Rio Uribe’s journey through the fashion industry hasn’t exactly been a breeze. (Has anyone’s?) The Los Angeles native worked in janitorial and retail before moving to New York City and getting a job in the stockroom of a Balenciaga store; there, he climbed his way up to a corporate …

bitchy | Mail: Prince William’s volleyball photos were ‘sexy & hot’, we swear

by jummy84 November 7, 2025
written by jummy84

The British media is absolutely dying to use these photos of Prince William playing beach volleyball in Rio. They already tried to just publish them with straight reporting – “prince plays volleyball” – and barely any commentary. Now, as the days pass, the photos are being reused and repurposed. The Daily Mail and other outlets absolutely know that William looked ridiculous and the photos show William’s current state of anti-rizz, but they can’t say that outright. Instead, they’re running faux-fawning pieces about how William “got so hot at 43” (he looks like a hard 55) and how his recent extreme weight loss is due to “cutting down on sugar.” Really? Because it looks… um, like there should be different explanations in the mix. From the Mail:

Adoring female fans couldn’t get enough of Prince William in Brazil this week, as social media was full of praise for the ‘sexy’ royal’s athletic physique following a ‘sweaty’ game of volleyball on Copacabana beach.

Tanned and sporting a trimmed beard, the father-of-three was also notably looking to be in great shape as he whizzed around the sandy terrain to get the ball over the net – proving that being in his forties hasn’t slowed him down one bit. It’s perhaps of no surprise, given the heir to the throne comes from a history of rigorous military training and a myriad of activities, including rowing, swimming and polo. And the legacy of sporty skills all throughout his youth seems to be serving him well to this day.

While not much is known about his current regime, as recently as 2019 British rapper Stormzy revealed that he had bumped into William at his gym.

‘Yeah, I was just walking up the stairs and someone was like, “Stormzy!”,’ he told the Jonathan Ross show. ‘And I was like, “Whoa. What’s going on Prince?” I swear down, I just bumped into him.’

It was at the time reported the gym in question was Chelsea Harbour Club, a luxurious fitness hub with swimming pools, tennis courts, a spa and ‘bespoke’ exercises. Reports claim the joining fee alone is some £1,880.

Elsewhere, the royal opened up about his diet in 2022. During a trip to Cornwall’s Newquay Orchard, he explained he has a healthy start to the day by eating two eggs and wholemeal toast with butter – adding that he enjoyed apple juice and a cup of tea with milk and sugar alongside it. Admitting he was ‘trying to cut down on sugar’, William then revealed that he had had a ‘rubbish’ sandwich for lunch that day, while enjoying fish and mushrooms for dinner. He said he ‘doesn’t drink coffee’ so drinks ‘two or three cups of tea’ a day, as well as enjoying snacks like bananas and chocolate biscuits or brownies. Meanwhile, the royal added he might have a glass of red wine each day.

[From The Daily Mail]

What’s more pitiful, the fact that the media is playing along with this ludicrous fantasy or that Kensington Palace has ordered their press allies to write these pieces? Tom Sykes got the same call, and is now referring to Scooter King as “Hunk William.” Scooter King looks like a greasy piece of toast that fell on the floor and is now covered in dog hair. These volleyball photos are not “hunky” nor are Brazilians swooning for this deeply awkward man. Think about this as well – if Harry had been caught in public looking even one tenth as ridiculous as William, what would the British press have said and done? They write a million f–king stories in which they try to convince everyone that Harry looks unhappy, grumpy and angry every single time he smiles at his wife and grabs her ass in public.

Hot Air Balloon Survival Thriller ‘Turbulence’ Trailer with Jeremy Irvine

by Alex Billington
November 5, 2025
Source: YouTube

“You’re not getting away with this…” Lionsgate has debute their trailer for a movie called Turbulence, an intense action thriller survival movie from Swiss filmmaker Claudio Fäh. He’s known for making schlocky direct-to-video action movies and this definitely looks direct-to-VOD quality. Young married couple Zach & Emmy decide to take a hot air balloon trip across the Italian Dolomites to rekindle their relationship. When they and pilot Harry are joined by a third passenger, Julia, events unfold in ways in which they could never imagine 5000 meters (or ~16,400 feet) in the air. In this high-octane action thriller, what should have been the trip of a lifetime turns to disaster as the dark secrets harbored by the passengers are revealed & the wrath of nature is unleashed. With Hera Hilmar, Jeremy Irvine, Kelsey Grammer, Olga Kurylenko. Any guesses on what the “dark secret” will be? How will they get out of this safely? I love “99 Red Balloons” but the song clips they use in this trailer are so bad. The whole film looks way too cheap & cheesy to watch.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Claudio Fäh’s thriller movie Turbulence, direct from YouTube:

Turbulence Poster

Zach & Emmy’s (Jeremy Irvine & Hera Hilmar) romantic retreat on a hot air balloon takes a terrifying turn when they are hijacked by a sinister third passenger with a link to Zach’s past. As the mystery of their secret relationship is revealed, their spectacular ride becomes a brutal mental chess match and a lethal battle high in the sky. Kelsey Grammer leads a brilliant cast in this psychological thriller that will keep you guessing until the very last moment. Turbulence is directed by Swiss filmmaker Claudio Fäh, director of the movies Coronado, Hollow Man II, Sniper: Reloaded, Northmen: A Viking Saga, Beyond Valkyrie, Sniper: Ultimate Kill, No Way Up, and also the series “Wilder”. The screenplay is written by Andy Mayson. Produced by Richard J. Berthy, Amanda Bowers, Molly Conners, Andy Mayson. Lionsgate will debut Fäh’s Turbulence movie in select US theaters + on VOD starting December 12th, 2025 coming up. Look scary?

Robert Pattinson opens up about shooting for Dune 3

“When I was doing Dune, it was so hot in the desert that I just couldn’t question anything,” Pattinson said in an interview.

He added, “And it was so relaxing, like my brain actually wasn’t operating. I did not have a single functioning brain cell. And I was listening to Denis Villeneuve, ‘Whatever you want!'”

About Dune Part Three

Dune: Part Three is expected to open in theatres on December 18, 2026, and is based on Frank Herbert’s 1969 novel, Dune Messiah, which follows Atreides’ struggles with the consequences of his Fremen-led jihad upon his ascension to Emperor Muad’Dib, reported Deadline.

Pattinson is reportedly set to take on the villain role of Scytale in ‘Dune: Part Three’.

The Dune franchise stars Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, Stellan Skarsgard, Javier Bardem, and Stephen McKinley Henderson. The sequel also added Florence Pugh, Lea Seydoux, Christopher Walken, Austin Butler, and Souheila Yacoub to the cast. Jason Momoa will reprise his role in the upcoming third film.

Pattinson is currently promoting his new film Die My Love, in which he co-stars opposite Dune co-star Zendaya. He recently wrapped filming Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and is about to start filming The Batman: Part II, the long-awaited sequel, with director Matt Reeves, according to Deadline. (ANI)

Dave Navarro looks back on “backlash” to replacing John Frusciante in Red Hot Chili Peppers and the “disconnect” he felt from the band

by jummy84 November 4, 2025
written by jummy84

Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Dave Navarro has looked back on his time with the band and the backlash that followed when he replaced John Frusciante.

Frusciante departed the band in 1992 and Navarro, who had left Jane’s Addiction when they broke up the year before, stepped in. He only recorded one album with the band, ‘One Hot Minute’, and it failed to be as successful as their previous studio album, 1991’s ‘Blood Sugar Sex Magik’.

In April 1998, the band announced Navarro’s departure, and Frusciante rejoined the same month. He left again in 2009, before rejoining a decade later. With Frusciante back in the band, they had a run of successful albums including ‘Californication’, ‘By The Way’ and ‘Stadium Arcadium’, and Navarro has admitted in a recent interview with Guitar World that he felt out of place in the band.

“Whatever magic John brought to the Chili Peppers, I didn’t have that style of magic,” he said, describing himself as a “goth kid in a funk band”.

He explained: “If you had to narrow down what the disconnect was, I’d say that would be it … It became clear pretty fast that as much as we tried and as much as we wanted it to work, we weren’t coming from the same musical place.

“The best way I can describe it is that I was in a cover band with the actual band. And that’s a very strange place to be – especially with the clashing of styles.”

Navarro addressed the reaction he received from “diehard fans”, explaining, “There was a lot of backlash from the fanbase because I was filling John’s role.”

He continued, “I always found it odd that any of that was directed at me. I was like, ‘Well, if you don’t like me being here, you can blame them. I didn’t force myself into this, they asked me. All I did was say yes.’”

He said the lukewarm reception ‘One Hot Minute’ received impacted everyone in the band, but that he was “feeling the brunt” of the question marks over the album’s direction. But despite that, he described it as the “most successful record” he’d ever played on, so it felt like a win for him personally but a failure for the rest of the band.

Navarro and Frusciante, meanwhile, teamed up together in 2020 to play Jane’s Addiction’s ‘Mountain Song’ at a memorial show to honour Andrew Burkle. The following year, Navarro joined Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis to cover Lou Reed’s ‘Walk On The Wild Side’ as part of Navarro’s Above Ground charity concert to raise awareness and funds for mental health for people in the music industry under the MusiCares programme. It marked the first time the pair had performed together since Navarro left the band.

As for Jane’s Addiction, however, Navarro said earlier this year that there’s “no chance” they’ll ever play together again. Last year, the band’s classic line-up of Navarro, Perry Farrell, Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins performed together for the first time since 2010, and they released their first new music together in 34 years, but the comeback ended abruptly after frontman Farrell punched Navarro onstage in a show in Boston.

At the time, they announced an immediate hiatus, cancelling the rest of the tour, and Navarro told Guitar Player earlier this year, “There was an altercation onstage, and all the hard work and dedication and writing and hours in the studio, and picking up and leaving home and crisscrossing the country and Europe and trying to overcome my illness — it all came to a screeching halt and forever destroyed the band’s life.

“And there’s no chance for the band to ever play together again. I have to say that’s my least favourite gig, without throwing animosity around, and without naming names and pointing fingers, and coming up with reasons.”

In July, Navarro, Avery and Perkins filed a lawsuit against Farrell over the fallout from the tour, and in September, Farrell responded with a legal filing of his own, denying “each and every allegation”.

Lil Wayne Missed Verzuz Battle Due To Illness, Says Hot Boys Member

by jummy84 November 1, 2025
written by jummy84

Hot Boys member B.G. has cleared the air regarding Lil Wayne’s unexplained absence from the highly anticipated Cash Money vs. No Limit VERZUZ matchup, confirming that the rap superstar was forced to withdraw due to illness—not internal tension or scheduling disputes.

Appearing on The Breakfast Club on Friday, Oct. 31, B.G. explained that Wayne had every intention of taking part in the event, but his health took an unexpected turn just before showtime.

“Shorty wasn’t feeling good, man,” B.G. said of Wayne during the interview, pointing out that the hitmaker also missed another show he was scheduled to perform at following the VERZUZ event. “He had a concert at Drai’s the same night, and he canceled that as well, you know,” he explained.

B.G. emphasized that the decision was strictly health-related and urged his longtime collaborator to take care of himself.

“Like I told him, we ain’t spring chickens no more, man,” the Chopper City rapper added. “You’ve got to make sure you get your rest and make sure that your body and health are just all the way intact.”

The New Orleans veteran also revealed that VERZUZ cofounder Swizz Beatz was particularly disappointed by Wayne’s absence, as the Young Money founder’s participation had been a key factor in getting the event approved.

“Swizz was, you know, even hurt behind it because … that’s the reason Swizz pulled the trigger on it, because Wayne … agreed,” B.G. shared. Despite Wayne’s absence, the VERZUZ battle lived up to its billing as a celebration of Southern hip-hop history.

Mia X delivered a powerhouse performance that earned her widespread acclaim online, with fans and peers alike praising her commanding stage presence.

Juvenile, stepping up for Cash Money, brought energy and nostalgia with crowd favorites like “Back That Azz Up” and “Ha,” drawing rave reactions from attendees and social media alike.

In a bittersweet postscript, No Limit’s Young Bleed, who participated in the event, was hospitalized following a serious medical emergency shortly after the performance. According to reports, he remains under medical care.

While No Limit ultimately claimed victory, the evening underscored the enduring legacy of both camps—and, as B.G. made clear, Lil Wayne’s absence was a matter of health, not hostility.

Kenshi Yonezu ‘IRIS OUT’ Holds at No. 1 for 6th Week on Japan Hot 100

written by jummy84

Kenshi Yonezu’s “IRIS OUT” extends its run at No.1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 for a sixth straight week, topping the chart dated Oct. 29.

The Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc theme leads four metrics this week: — downloads, streaming, video views, and karaoke. Downloads dipped 26% from the week before, but the song returns to No. 1 on the metric for the first time in three weeks. Radio airplay continued to build for a second week, rising to 127% of last week’s points.

Yonezu’s previous longest consecutive streak at No. 1 was the five-week run of “Lemon” in January 2019 (seven total weeks at the summit). With “IRIS OUT,” he now sets a new personal record for consecutive weeks at the top.
