Diddy Reportedly Caught Drinking Homemade Alcohol in Prison Weeks After Declaring Sobriety

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ pledge to remain sober appears to have hit a snag while serving time in federal prison. According to TMZ, the music mogul was caught with homemade alcohol inside Fort Dix, the low-security New Jersey facility where he is currently incarcerated.

Sources told the outlet that Diddy had been drinking a fermented mixture of Fanta, sugar, and apples — a concoction commonly made by inmates and left to ferment for about two weeks. Prison officials reportedly discovered the alcohol and initially planned to move Diddy to another unit, though that decision was later reversed.

Just last month, Diddy spoke to the judge about his sobriety during sentencing, stating that he was sober for the first time in 25 years and acknowledging how substance use had affected his life. In a letter to the court, he wrote, “The old me died in jail and a new version of me was reborn. Prison will change you or kill you — I choose to live.”

Recent photos published showed Diddy in the Fort Dix prison yard appearing upbeat and social with other inmates. The 54-year-old was convicted in July on two counts of violating the Mann Act and sentenced to 50 months in prison this past October. He was transferred to Fort Dix last week.

When contacted by press, a prison official said they had “no information” about the reported alcohol incident.

Cardiologist shares which Indian sweets to skip and which to pick this Diwali 2025: ‘Market boondi laddu vs homemade…’

Come Diwali, and Indian households start overflowing with sweets, snacks and chocolates during the five-day festivities, as people exchange gifts and families prepare feasts for everyone to enjoy. Some of the most common Indian sweets and desserts found in homes are laddu, chocolate boxes, soan papdi, and barfi.

In an Instagram post shared on October 15, Dr Alok Chopra, a cardiologist and functional medicine expert, MD, MBBS, listed down some of the common Diwali sweets and desserts that you should avoid, and provided healthy alternatives to each dish. Let’s find out what the doctor suggested.

Which Indian sweet to pick and drop this Diwali?

Sharing the list of Indian sweets you should ditch and which you should pick, Dr Alok Chopra wrote, “This Diwali, redefine indulgence. Health isn’t about cutting joy — it’s about choosing better joy. From A2 ghee laddus to antioxidant hampers, let your celebrations reflect true abundance — inside and out.”

This Diwali, try these suggestions provided by a cardiologist:

1. Market boondi laddu vs homemade besan laddu

Instead of the boondi laddu available in the market, which is made with refined sugar, cheap oil, and synthetic colour (there is approximately 700 g of sugar present in a kg of laddu), choose homemade besan laddus made with A2 ghee and organic jaggery

2. Packaged soan papdi or barfi boxes vs pistachio and rose coconut bites

Every year, during Diwali, every Indian household gets at least a box of soan papdi or barfi, and these sweets are full of refined sugar. Therefore, the cardiologist suggests enjoying pistachio and rose coconut bites made with date purée instead of these Indian sweets.

3. Deep-fried namkeen vs roasted nut and seed mix

As you entertain guests at your home during Diwali festivities, you might end up serving them namkeen, which are deep-fried and full of preservatives. So, instead, try serving a roasted nut and seed mix, the cardiologist suggests.

4. Fancy gift hampers vs curated wellness baskets

For Diwali gifts, we often end up choosing fancy gift hampers which include wafers, chocolates, and packaged sweets, and they are not healthy options. Therefore, Dr Chopra suggests curating wellness baskets, instead, made with blueberries, avocado, dragon fruit, and dark chocolate (85%).

Charlie Sheen made awful homemade movies with the Penn brothers.

Charlie Sheen made awful homemade movies with the Penn brothers

The Platoon actor, 60, grew close to actors Sean Penn and his sibling Chris Penn as they lived near each other in Malibu, and has now opened up about how they made terrible attempts at making films together as they grew up.

Charlie said in conversation with David Duchovny, 65, at the 92nd Street Y in New York on 8 September to promote his memoir The Book of Sheen, the Penn brothers had a huge influence on his early years, adding: “We just found it as a way to just kind of emulate, mimic, copy what our parents were doing. The two houses that it kind of bounced between – Casa Penn and our place – is really where that all happened.”

The son of actors Martin Sheen and Janet Sheen, Charlie remembered how his and the Penn families contributed to their makeshift productions.

He said: “We never really had the resources to do substantial productions. We were reliant on whatever dad would kick in or what the Penn parents, (actress) Eileen and (director) Leo, what they would kick in… basically our prop department was blank guns, blanks and blood.”

While the work was rough around the edges, Charlie said it cemented a bond with Sean, now 65, that has endured throughout their lives.

He explained part of his motivation in writing his new autobiography was to show how much Sean and Chris, who died in 2006 and 40 from heart disease, had meant to him – and that he wanted Sean to see that in print.

Charlie added: “A lot of that (book) was written out of love for Sean. I wanted Sean to really read how much his brother meant to me.

“And I was tempted to go to Sean and read him stuff as I was creating it.

“And I was like, ‘No, man, that’s probably not how Chris would’ve handled it. He would’ve walked in and just (said), ‘Here it is’.”

The Book of Sheen also recounts Charlie’s later Hollywood career, including his roles in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Two and a Half Men and Spin City, as well as his struggles with addiction.

But at its heart, he said it acknowledges the friendships and family ties that shaped him.

Charlie added: “Writing the book was the most challenging job I’ve ever had, and hands down the most rewarding one.”
