Ari Fletcher had the internet popping OFF recently when she asked “Why are grown adults at college homecomings?” The post quickly went viral online with tons of folks weighing in and clocking her. Well now, she has spun the block to clear the air, and whew, she caught every bit of shade that came her way!

Ari Fletcher Responds After Folks Online Drag Her Over Homecoming Question

If you’ve been out the loop, let us put you on game real quick! Ari hopped on X (formerly Twitter) recently asking why grown folks still pop out at college homecomings. She made it clear it was genuine question since she didn’t go to a big college. But chile, her post got people in their feelings, especially with HBCU homecoming season in full swing.

For context, Ari wrote, “Why are grown adults at college homecoming? Is that normal? I’m genuinely asking because I didn’t go to a big college that did stuff like that. But it seems so off. I thought that was for the kids in school event.” Now she’s addressing everyone who felt a way and dragged her over the question. In clips shared by LiveBitez, she clocked all the shade, reminding folks that nobody has ever checked her in person. Then she called out the haters, saying it’s lame to post videos on social media complaining about somebody they don’t even know.

“You b*****s is not like that. Like stop talking about me! Stop speaking on me! Like for real, go do something. Did you go to college?” Ari said in the clip.

The Internet Isn’t Letting Up On Ari

Over in The Shade Room’s comment section, folks still wouldn’t let up on Ari. Some told her to just take the L, while others said she needs to own up and take accountability.

Instagram user @jazzolina wrote, “She seems triggered because people called her out. It’s okay do be wrong. Take accountability.”

Instagram user @thatssolizz wrote, “All these days later and the comments still bothering her? It’s time for everybody to move on.”

While Instagram user @j_zz_27 wrote, “She could’ve asked ChatGPT 😂”

Then Instagram user @shesthatforeign wrote, “I believe the people who spoke on it actually did go to college 😂😂”

Another Instagram user @reecycups wrote, “She asked a question on the World Wide Web… and she didn’t like the response. 🤣 Anywho I HAD A TIME AT MY HBCU Homecoming! 🦅”

While another Instagram user @mrssana76 wrote, “Girlllll just take the L😂😂”

Then another Instagram user @selfmade_guy wrote, “I’m just wondering, do she have anyone in her circle who went to college 😂”

Lastly, Instagram user @eyez wrote, “How does someone who didn’t graduate question others about their graduation status 🤔”

Ari Said What She Said & She’s Standing On It!

Even though Ari hit trolls with a full video response, she previously clapped back once her question started going viral. When she first peeped the shade she told folks, “Yall offended cause I made y’all feel old. I was just asking. Big and mad, literally.” Then when a social media user called her out saying, “You’d rather be Narcissistic, instead of saying you were wrong.” Ari added, “Wrong for what? Asking a question?”

‘Horses’ at Full Gallop, ‘Chicago Med’ Homecoming, the Murdaugh Saga, Tennis in Riyadh

Apple TV+

Slow Horses

No spy drama better blends suspense with wry and even slapstick humor than this adaptation of Mick Herron’s terrific novels about the disgraced spies who occupy Slough House. As Season 5 passes the midway point, the “slow horses” are in full gallop as they pair off to try to avert what they will believe will be an assassination attempt at one or both competing rallies for London’s mayoral race. Elsewhere, their decrepit yet cunning boss Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) continues to stay one step ahead of the MI5 officers seeking the femme fatale who snared Slough House techie Roddy Ho (Christopher Chung) in her web.

Elio

Elio

For centuries, people have called out to the universe looking for answers. In this fun-filled, action-packed feature film from Disney and Pixar, the universe calls back! The cosmic misadventure introduces Elio, a space fanatic with an active imagination and a huge alien obsession. So, when he’s beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide, Elio’s all in for the epic undertaking. Mistakenly identified as Earth’s leader, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric alien life-forms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions, and somehow discover who and where he is truly meant to be.

Nick Gehlfuss as Dr. Will Halstead, Torrey DeVitto as Dr. Natalie Manning in 'Chicago Med' Season 11 Episode 3

George Burns Jr / NBC

Chicago Med

Seems like old times when original cast member Torrey DeVitto returns to Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, though not under the best of circumstances — because Dr. Natalie Manning is rushing to be with her son Owen (Frankie DeMaio), who was shot while visiting Chicago from Seattle with his stepdad Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss). Which means there’s little time for “Manstead” shippers to rejoice over news that she’s carrying their child when her firstborn’s life is in jeopardy. In other cases, Ripley (Luke Mitchell) teams with Charles (Oliver Platt) to treat a patient who can’t remember who he is.

Murdaugh Death in the Family

Hulu

Murdaugh: Death in the Family

The stuff of many a Dateline and true-crime podcast, the tragic saga of the scandalous Murdaugh family of South Carolina now gets the deluxe docudrama treatment, with the very busy Jason Clarke (currently rounding up bad guys on Apple TV’s The Last Frontier) starring as wealthy but embattled lawyer Alex Murdaugh, with Oscar and Emmy winner Patricia Arquette as his unlucky wife, Maggie. The sordid eight-part story, previously depicted in a 2023 Lifetime drama, begins with the double murder of Maggie and son Paul (Johnny Berchtold) in 2021, then reaches back three years to an earlier scandal when Paul was implicated in a fatal boat crash. Brittany Snow costars as reporter Mandy Matney (who’s also an executive producer), whose work on the case is the basis for this eight-part treatment. Launches with three episodes.

Netflix

Six Kings Slam

Six of the world’s most prominent men’s tennis stars gather at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the second annual exhibition match, which could result in a rematch of last year’s contest that pitted the two top-ranked players, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, in a thrilling final. Sinner won that contest, while Alcaraz is hoping for a repeat of his recent U.S. Open victory against Sinner. In the first round, No. 3-ranked Alexander Zverev plays No. 4 Taylor Fritz, then Sinner takes on No. 24-ranked Stefanos Tsitsipas (a late substitution for an injured Jack Draper). The winners will play against Alcaraz and No. 3-ranked Novak Djokovic on Thursday, with a grand final scheduled for Saturday.

Nicole Beharie in 'The Morning Show' Season 4

Apple TV+

The Morning Show

In a powerful episode for the luminous Nicole Beharie, her character of decorated Olympic track star-turned-morning show host Chris Turner is dragged into a painful media spotlight when online rumors challenge her sports legacy. Her greatest ally appears to be Mia (Karen Pittman), the disgruntled TMS producer who returns to UBN on a confrontational mission. Also heading for a reckoning: Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) and former network CEO Cory (Billy Crudup), whose budding romance cloaks her investigation into a dark chapter of the network’s past.

Cuco Covers Cumbia Classics During Homecoming Show in Los Angeles

by jummy84 September 17, 2025
written by jummy84

The Chicano star is currently on tour in celebration of his album, Ridin’

Cuco turned Mexican Independence Day into a cumbia celebration Monday night at the Greek Theatre. The Chicano soul star lit up the sold-out Los Angeles venue in green, white, and red, as fans swayed and sang along to his unexpected dive into cumbia classics.

Midway through the show, Cuco loosened things up with his cumbia-inspired 2021 one-off “Under the Sun” before surprising the crowd by pulling out the güira for a rendition of “Llorar,” the standard by Los Socios del Ritmo. The energy jumped again when he transitioned into “La Negra Tomasa,” the Caifanes anthem that had the audience on its feet.

“I gotta tell you how many cumbia parties I’ve been to,” Cuco said onstage. “Y’all, I never realized how hard it is to sing that song, ‘Llorar,’ it’s a lot of tongue twisters for me. But that is fun as fuck to play. I hope you guys enjoyed that shit.”

The star took the time to celebrate some of the deluxe standouts on Ridin’, making way for “Sin un Corazón” from the extended project. Earlier in the evening, Cuco welcomed Jean Carter to perform their collab “Bossa No Sé,” and also a rendition of “My 45” from his recent project, Ridin, which Rolling Stone lauded last month.

“His blissed-out performances flow by perfectly, and the tunes stay with you. More than just historical cosplay, Ridin’ makes an old-school sound feel joyfully present,” read a review of the album.

Cuco just started his Ridin tour last week in Oakland and is set to tour the United States, stopping in cities such as Phoenix, Albuquerque, Denver, Dallas, Nashville, Kansas City, and New York City through the end of October.

2025 HBCU Fall Homecoming And Football Classic Schedule

by jummy84 September 7, 2025
written by jummy84

Every fall, the alumni of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) make the trek to their respective alma maters to relish in their glory days. The week-long festivities often continue decades-old traditions, empower fundraising efforts, and celebrate the legacy of campuses big and small. Classics, significant matchups that exist outside of homecomings, are also a space to uplift the institutions through sport and community.

With growing eyes at programs such as Norfolk State University, as former NFL player Michael Vick enters his first season as head coach, or recent interest in Tuskegee University garnered by Love Island breakout star Olandria Carthan, HBCUs have spawned conversations on and off the field ahead of the season.

Still, the fact remains that with or without celebrity attention, HBCUs matter, and homecomings and classics are proof. So, start hydrating for undergrad-inspired partying, reconnecting with former classmates, and dusting off that school-spirited gear.

Read below for a schedule of HBCU classic football matchups and homecoming celebrations.
