“This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system,” James alleged, referring to Donald Trump. “He is forcing federal law enforcement agencies to do his bidding, all because I did my job as the New York State Attorney General.”

Calling the charges against her “baseless,” James continued that Trump’s “only goal is political retribution at any cost.” She went on to allege that the president’s actions “are a grave violation of our Constitutional order and have drawn sharp criticism from members of both parties.”

“I am a proud woman of faith, and I know that faith and fear cannot share the same space,” James concluded. “And so, today, I am not fearful, I am fearless, and as my faith teaches me, no weapon formed against me shall prosper. We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights. And I will continue to do my job.”

Who Is Letitia James?

James is the currently attorney general of New York, having served in the position since January 2019 after winning the election the previous year. Born and raised in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, James attended the City University of New York’s Lehman College to study social work. She eventually obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law in Washington D.C. before being admitted to practice law back home in New York.

I lived a life of sin, drugs, alcohol and stealing.”

The downward spiral came to a horrifying end. “I tried to kill myself by standing in front of a truck,” Pattie added. “I wound up in the mental ward for trying to commit suicide.”

She gave birth to Justin when she was 18

Pattie was a single teen when she welcomed her superstar child into the world on March 1, 1994. Although Pattie was living a clean life off drugs and alcohol, she still had a difficult time financially. “As a single mother [I sometimes said], ‘I have no idea how I’m going to feed Justin,’” she explained on the 100 Huntley Street, talk show.

Pattie had plans to be on The Bachelorette

At one point, Pattie had ambitions to be the next single lady to hand out roses on the ABC hit reality dating program The Bachelorette. While watching the show’s finale almost a decade ago, Pattie got all romantic and teary eyed watching Sean Lowe propose, and it got her thinking! “Who will be the next Bachelorette? Me perhaps?? Hmmmmm…” tweeted Pattie.

She revealed a painful childhood secret in her memoir

In her 2012 memoir Nowhere But Up, Pattie revealed she had been sexually molested as a child and teenager by multiple people. Some of the abusers were known to be family friends or relatives. Pattie described the constant abuse as something so frequent that “it began to feel normal.” It wasn’t just men who abused her, as she also recounts a “girl from school” who was “trying to teach [her] about pleasure.”

Pattie had a tight bond with Selena Gomez

Justin’s mom definitely approved of his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez. “Pattie and Selena have always been tight. Pattie adores her and sees her as her own daughter. For the first five decades of his life, Hugh Grant solely focused on his career. Once Hugh reached his 50s, he ventured into fatherhood when his first child, daughter Tabitha, was born in September 2011. In the decade since, Hugh has become a dad to four more children — two sons and two daughters — from his relationships with two different women, Tinglan Hong and Anna Eberstein.

Even though he wasn’t crazy about his role in Wonka, Anna still accompanied him on the red carpet for the premiere. In that same press conference, Hugh also hinted that his many kids are part of the reason he keeps making movies. “I slightly hate [making films] but I have lots of children and need money,” he said.

Hugh’s eldest child, Tabitha Grant, was born as a result of what’s been referred to as “a fleeting affair” between the actor and a Chinese woman named Tinglan Hong. Tabitha’s Chinese name is Tabitha Xaio Xi. “I can’t pretend it wasn’t a little bit of a surprise, but it’s a very nice surprise,” Hugh previously told Ellen DeGeneres about Tabitha’s arrival. “It’s surprising that everyone was right all these years saying, ‘Hugh, why don’t you have some children? It really changes your life.’ And you’re thinking, ‘Oh, shut up!’ Now that I have, I have to say it is quite life-changing.”

Conspiracy theories about show business have formed and mutated over the years, with the most notorious being the “celebrities die in 3s” rumor. So, why is Lyme disease such a common diagnosis?

Why Do So Many Celebrities Have Lyme Disease?

It seems that a large portion of Hollywood has revealed Lyme disease diagnoses, and that’s because the illness is common in the United States. More than 400,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with Lyme disease each year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Lyme Disease Symptoms

The most commonly reported symptoms of Lyme disease include fever, headache, fatigue, facial paralysis, an irregular heartbeat, arthritis and a skin rash called erythema migrans, according to the CDC.

Can You Die From Lyme Disease?

Yes, but only in rare cases. According to the Cleveland Clinic, Lyme disease has resulted in few deaths, and there are treatments for the illness. However, if it’s left untreated, symptoms may linger for years.

Danielle Jonas

During an interview with Parents published in October 2025, Danielle revealed her Lyme disease diagnosis, noting that doctors initially “tried to tell [her] it was anxiety.”

“Finally, I had a biopsy that showed I actually had Lyme disease,” Danielle told the publication. “I also had eczema on my scalp, which was likely from the inflammation [from the illness]. The hair loss was very traumatic. I got to a point where I wanted to wear a wig.”

Justin Bieber

In a since-deleted January 2020 Instagram caption, Justin revealed he had “recently” been diagnosed with Lyme disease in addition to a “serious case of chronic mono which affected [his] skin, brain function, energy, and overall health.”

Avril Lavigne

Since her 2015 diagnosis, Avril has opened up about her battle against Lyme disease. She once wrote on her website that she had “accepted death and could feel [her] body shutting down.”

In July 2025, Justin shared a lengthy Instagram post about his diagnosis, admitting he would “be on stage … in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.”

In 2003, Shania was bitten by a tick, which resulted in Lyme disease. In her doc, Not Just a Girl, the music artist said her voice “was never the same again.”

“I thought I’d lost my voice forever,” Shania admitted. “I thought that was it, [and] I would never, ever sing again.”

Riley Keough

Riley told Vanity Fair in 2023 that she lives with Lyme disease.

Yolanda Hadid

Yolanda has opened up about her condition over the years. In September 2024, she wrote in an Instagram post that she had been battling Lyme disease for 15 years.

Bella was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012 and updated fans in August 2023 about her journey.

In October 2011, Ben told The Hollywood Reporter that he caught the disease in Nantucket, Massachusetts, “a couple years” prior.

“My knee became inflamed and they couldn’t figure out what it was, then they found out it was Lyme,” the actor-director told the publication. “I’m symptom-free now, but Lyme doesn’t ever leave your system. It’s a really tough thing.”

Alec was infected by the bacteria around 20 years ago. During a 2021 podcast interview, he recalled how he got bitten by a tick.

Action movies are more than just alive — they’re owning the big screen, and Glen Powell has become one of Hollywood’s rising action stars following his successes with Top Gun: Maverick, Hit Man and Twisters. With his latest project, The Running Man, on the horizon, fans of the original 1987 movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger are curious how it will shape up.

What Is The Running Man About?

The film follows Ben Richards (Powell) who joins a game show called The Running Man, where contestants are pursued by individuals called “hunters” that are hired to kill them. His motivation? To help his family out of poverty and a health crisis. But the game show is no ordinary one; with almost no rules to follow, Ben must evade death as millions around him try to kill him.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Glen teased that his character has “got a bone to pick with the world” and added, “It’s a different gear, you know. [director] Edgar [Wright] always calls it ‘Bad Mood Glen.’ He’s like, ‘Hey, I need more Bad Mood Glen!’”

The actor also pointed out that his friend, former co-star and mentor Tom Cruise was his “first call” when he got the part. After all, who other than Tom would know about action sequences and stunts?

“I said, ‘Tom, how do you do this?’” Glen recalled. “I spent like two and a half hours on the phone with him. I took a million notes. I knew I was going to have to put my body on the line on this movie. He told me all the things to worry about, all the things not to worry about, and also how to entertain audiences at the highest level. [He said], ‘Don’t just put your life on the line, make sure all the elements around you highlight cinematically the experience.’ Because [you] can jump off a bridge from an explosion, if you don’t frame it right, if it’s not timed correctly, the audience may not even know that you’re the guy doing it.”

When Did Selena Gomez & Francia Raisa Meet?

The starlet went on to add that her break from her work had to do with her health. “That’s what my break was really about. I could’ve had a stroke,” Selena added.

Two years after she revealed her lupus diagnosis, Selena told her millions of Instagram followers that Francia had donated her kidney in order to help Selena’s health. “There aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me,” Selena captioned a photo of them in the hospital together on September 14, 2017. “I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis.”

In October 2017, the two besties sat down for an emotional interview on the TODAY show to discuss the donation process. At the time, Francia and her pal were living together and she knew something was off after Selena broke down in tears one day. “And she goes, ‘I don’t know what to do. The [transplant] list is seven-to-10-years long,’” Francia said. “And it just vomited out of me. I was like, ‘Of course I’ll get tested.’” Selena noted that her “life” was “better” following the surgery.

Five years later, in November 2022, online rumors began to circulate that there was a feud between the two besties. Francia opened up about their relationship and her kidney donation in an October 2023 interview with The Associated Press. She said that what happened between her and Selena was “very private,” and she wanted to keep it that way. “I had to grow, and she had to grow, and some of the best relationships I know took some time apart and then came back together, and they were better than ever.

When it came to the kidney donation, Francia also explained that the donation had “nothing to do” with their short falling out. In the AP interview, she compared it to other donations. “When you’re giving a donation, let’s say to St. Jude, you’re not going to call St. Jude [and] be like, ‘What did you do with my $1?’” she said.
