“Are you the one they’re looking for?” “Do you think I am?” Who is who in this mystery thriller? Take a look at the official trailer for an indie suspense thriller called Death Among the Pines, latest from filmmaker / actor Nathan Shepka – who both stars in and directs this film. From the same team behind this year’s other gothic chiller The Baby in the Basket comes a new Hitchcock-inspired mystery thriller called Death Among the Pines. One night during a heavy rainstorm, a stranded stranger knocks on the door of Angela’s country cottage, claiming his car has broken down. Angela allows him in to shelter but soon a police officer arrives, asking questions, amid conducting a manhunt for an escaped criminal. Angela puts two & two together, but is there more to it than meets the eye? Starring Nathan Shepka and Nicolette McKeown as Angela, with Stephen Kerr and Olly Bassi. The trailer starts a bit slow but builds up to some real fascinating intrigue.

The screenplay is written by Tom Jolliffe and Nathan Shepka. Produced by Gary Collinson, Tom Jolliffe, and Nathan Shepka. This hasn’t played at any festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Shepka has already released Death Among the Pines direct-to-VOD – it’s available to watch now on Prime Video online.
