bitchy | Sykes: Prince Harry’s palace enemies have ‘lured him into their trap’

by jummy84 September 30, 2025
written by jummy84

Tom Sykes has been doing the most to promote his Royalist Substack, and this weekend, he was full of drama over Prince Harry’s clapback on The Sun. Harry’s spokesperson drew a direct line between The Sun’s exclusive cover story and the courtiers hellbent on sabotaging King Charles and Prince Harry’s reconciliation. Sykes did a live video in which he explained the connections between what Harry wrote about in Spare and how many institutional factions are anti-Sussex. For what it’s worth, I think a lot of people are missing the fact that Prince William’s office has posed as “sources close to the Sussexes” to spread lies about Harry and Meghan’s moves and motivations for years. Whenever a story pops up with some really shady quotes from “sources close to Harry,” you can assume it’s from Kensington Palace’s workshop. Now, did the Sun’s exclusive come from KP? Eh. I think the detail about Harry giving his father a photo was what set off Harry. It was the kind of thing which could have only come from Charles’s inner camp, imo. Which is why Harry was so forceful in pushing back.

Well, on Sunday, the palace saboteurs responded to all of this melodrama by declaring that King Charles was “saddened and disappointed” by Harry’s spokesperson’s statement. I feel like it’s notable that the reaction wasn’t a full, screeching hissy fit – the response was weak and vague, because Harry hit his target accurately and showed that he’s perfectly capable of calling them out publicly. But, according to Sykes, “Harry’s Enemies in King Charles’ Court Have Lured Him Into Their Trap.” Sykes now believes that “Harry… needs to stop reacting every time his enemies prod him if he is to preserve his fragile reconciliation with his dad.”

I said in my Live yesterday—recorded in the admittedly unsatisfactory lighting conditions of the gloaming outside Slane Castle in Ireland and with way too many ‘ums’—that I believed that the palace had set a trap for Harry when insiders planted a story in the Sun saying that Harry’s meeting with his father was a distinctly chilly affair, more like an official audience than a father-son reunion.

I noted that I felt Harry had walked right into its jaws by taking the bait, and issuing one of his trademark angry outbursts at palace operatives, accusing the “men in grey suits” of leaking “pure invention” to the media with the aim of “sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son.”

I suggested that Harry was pointing the finger at his great foes in Charles’ office, Sir Clive Alderton (“the wasp”) and Tobyn Andreae.

I also said that having provoked a response, anti-reconciliation courtiers would now be able to say that Harry had betrayed his promise not to re-escalate tensions with the family or stoke controversy around the September 10 meeting which saw Harry meet the King for “a private tea” at Clarence House, the first time that the King had met with his younger son for 19 months.

And lo! The trap just snapped shut. My point has been proven (rather quicker than I anticipated, I must confess) by a wounding story in the London Times saying that “the palace” (the Times’s careful choice of words) has been left “saddened and perplexed” by Harry’s claim that “the institution” (more careful syntax) is “sabotaging” his attempts to reconcile with the King.

[From The Royalist Substack]

A few things…it looks more like the courtiers fell into Harry’s trap by leaking the highly specific detail about the photo. “Anti-reconciliation courtiers would now be able to say that Harry had betrayed his promise not to re-escalate tensions with the family or stoke controversy around the September 10 meeting.” Those are the same courtiers who A) leaked the sh-t in the first place and B) have consistently failed to rein in Prince William, who had a loud, messy nervous breakdown over the meeting and hasn’t shut up about it for weeks. Some of you rolled your eyes about my belief that Harry and Charles agreed to not leak details of any conversations and meetings. You guys are wrong – there absolutely was an agreement, and it was one of Charles’s few prerequisites. Harry has maintained his side of the bargain, Charles has not.

Here’s more from Sykes:

Having previously all ganged up to denigrate Harry’s book ‘Spare’, Sykes now compares the courtiers to the Deep State & says they yield a lot of power & pursue their own agendas. Duh … that’s exactly what Harry told us in his book & you all said he was lying. pic.twitter.com/pWlEcqrYTo

Here’s Tom Sykes admitting, in his latest ‘Live’, that William & Clive Alderton (the wasp) want to undermine the reconciliation between Harry & Charles & are the ones briefing & leaking lies to the British press. He calls them the “Harry Foes”. pic.twitter.com/EUV5FA0d2I

bitchy | Platell: Prince Harry’s visit should be a wake-up call for boring, sulky William & Kate

by jummy84 September 16, 2025
written by jummy84

During Prince Harry’s four-day visit to the UK, Daily Mail columnist Amanda Platell could not shut up about how much she despised every single thing Harry was doing. Not only that, but Platell spun out several ideas for the many ways in which “King William” will eventually punish his brother. The whole thing was so toxic, it made me advocate for Harry leaving the UK and never coming back. But Harry had other ideas, obviously, and he ended up getting hugely positive coverage in the British press. Well, instead of just going all-in on her Harry hate-athon, Platell is now attempting to do the funniest volte-face of all time. “You know how I said King William will strip the Sussexes’ titles and ban them from the UK? Nevermind, William and Kate suck, actually.” I’m paraphrasing, but only barely.

Ahead of Prince Harry’s whirlwind four-day ‘pseudo royal tour’ many, myself included, dismissed it as just another desperate and calculated attempt to ingratiate himself into the royal fold. After all, that’s what he and his wife Meghan depend on to make their Netflix millions. Yet I have to confess I was perhaps too cynical. Harry’s visit brought us something we have not seen for a very long time from the royals – laughter and joy.

Which leaves many of us asking why William and Kate have decided to hide away and become the Prince and Princess of Boring. There have been fantastic pictures of Harry larking around with children in need, images like those of the cheeky Harry of old. Dare I say, the kind of pictures that Princess Diana generated during her short life even after she lost her HRH title.

And that is why Harry’s visit should be a wake-up call for his estranged brother William. In my book, he should stop skulking and be the man he was born to be. While Harry was cheering up ill children, a sombre Prince William was worthily chairing a conference marking World Suicide Prevention Day in Cardiff – admittedly an important cause. While Harry was in London high-fiving staff at the Diana Awards set up in honour of their Mum, Kate was sent off to not one but two events at textile factories.

Yes it is easy for Harry to fly in for four days and capture the world’s attention, but then he followed it up with a surprise visit to Ukraine. There he promised that, after helping through his Invictus Games to rehabilitate soldiers who had lost limbs, he would offer that chance to the men, women and children in Ukraine who had been similarly wounded in the war.

And then came the bombshell. On her Fresh Hell Substack, respected royal biographer Tina Brown claimed King Charles is currently ‘less irritated’ by Prince Harry than he is by William….I have to agree with Tina Brown on one thing – that Harry’s triumphant tour has been a great success in PR terms and is ‘bad news for the Prince of Wales’.

Especially at a time when the latest survey revealed, shockingly, that support for the Monarchy has dropped from 86 percent in the Eighties to its lowest level since records began, with only half of Brits today supporting what many see as an outdated institution. The only images we ever see of William smiling is in the home videos he and Kate reluctantly release of them and the children frolicking, not on royal duties seen by the public but hidden away around one of their many homes.

[From The Daily Mail]

While Harry obviously didn’t plan on that “crumbling support for the monarchy” poll to come out in the middle of his visit, it’s hilarious that it happened that way. It was like a direct cause-and-effect before our eyes – an old, cancer-ridden king avoiding his family in a gothic castle in Scotland, a workshy heir pitifully screaming “don’t forget about me” during thrown-together last-minute events, and the charismatic ginger prince who walked away from the whole toxic lot. It feels like Kate and William actually wish they were just “boring.” Boring could be efficient, boring could be ho-hum, dutiful and visible. Instead, they’re lazy, barely visible and clearly desperate.

bitchy | Times: Queen Camilla is also displeased with Charles & Harry’s meeting

by jummy84 September 16, 2025
written by jummy84

Something which has been glossed over in the past week’s royal coverage is that Queen Camilla was not around for any of the royal maneuvers. Camilla has been hiding out in Balmoral (or Birkhall, more specifically) for the past month. She’s barely been seen after she went on a luxury vacation on a yacht with her family. Camilla did not join her husband in London last week for his day-trip, and she was not around when King Charles met Prince Harry at Clarence House. I think Charles set it up that way on purpose. Despite Camilla’s cozy relationship with the tabloids and the tabloids’ insistence that Charles would do anything to “protect” Camilla from Harry, Charles doesn’t consult with Camilla about every single thing and they spend a great deal of time apart. Which brings me to Roya Nikkhah’s exclusive in the Sunday Times. The piece is called: “Why Prince William can’t forgive Harry.” Roya was told the same thing that every other royal reporter was told, that William is absolutely furious about Harry (but too lazy to do much about anything). Check out the curious mention of Camilla in this piece though.

What will William make of his brother’s return? A royal source said William “has been very jolly all week” but publicly he has made no comment, preferring to focus on his own engagements. He will have kept a close eye on Harry’s coverage and the public’s reaction, though. While his younger brother bounced through balloon fights with children at the WellChild awards and splashy announcements of a £1.1m donation to Children in Need and more than £360,000 for the injured children of Gaza and Ukraine, William dutifully trudged from Berkshire to Lambeth to Cardiff for engagements which also championed young people and mental health awareness.

As much as Harry insists he remains committed to “a life of public service”, the reality is he walked away from the daily grind five years ago, with profound consequences for William and his family. Those wounds run deep.

For all Harry’s assaults on the royal family during Queen Elizabeth’s final years, the missiles fired in his memoir, Spare, the bombshells of the Sussexes’ Netflix documentary and all the interviews in between, friends say it is the fact there is no longer a wingman, a brother to share the present and future heavy load, that has always stung William most. He may never forgive him for the impact that has on Catherine, who is in remission from cancer, and Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, ten, and Prince Louis, seven, whose future responsibilities may have differed slightly if the Sussexes had stuck around.

As a close friend told me after Harry and Meghan left these shores, William “definitely feels the pressure now it’s all on him. His future looks different because of his brother’s choices. It’s not easy.”

Now the King has taken the first tentative step on the path towards reconciliation, the spotlight will turn to William, along with questions of whether he will, or should, do the same. There will be public commentary, expectation and hope that if a father considers forgiveness, why not a brother? But as another of William’s closest friends once told me, when it comes to relationships with the future king, “it is all about trust and loyalty”. William feels he has lost both with Harry and that may prove too difficult a roadblock to pass.

The King is now back at Balmoral for a few days before returning to London for the Duchess of Kent’s funeral on Tuesday, then hosting the Trumps at Windsor Castle from Wednesday on their state visit.

Charles will have briefed the Queen on his meeting with Harry, who has described her as “dangerous” and “a villain” who “left bodies in the street” in her quest to improve her public image. Camilla could be forgiven for not being jubilant about her husband’s reunion with Harry. As a royal source said: “He has been extremely unkind to her in print and in word and she doesn’t forgive easily.” And as a close friend of the King said: “The royal family make elephants look like they have short memories.” Some members of the family may, in time, forgive Harry for the damage and hurt they feel he has caused, but none of them will forget.

[From The Times]

It’s interesting to consider that Charles might have blown off Camilla and William’s “concerns” by meeting Harry. It’s also striking that this is yet another instance where Camilla and William are on the same side, the side of racism, jealousy, pettiness, hatred and press-briefings. As for the main thrust of this piece, William and his inability to forgive Harry, I actually love how the stories keep changing. There’s never been any consistency with William’s side – he’s been absolutely furious with Harry for years. Years before Netflix, years before the Oprah interview, years before Harry & Meghan dipped. It’s almost like William’s original grievance, the real breaking point between brothers, was the fact that Harry fell in love with Meghan, an accomplished, beautiful, multilingual, kind, gracious American woman. William has not been able to keep his sh-t together for a f–king decade because his brother married a bad bitch. Incidentally, Camilla also couldn’t stand it – it was like Diana all over again.

Prince Harry’s Focus is On King Charles After Reunion

by jummy84 September 15, 2025
written by jummy84

Prince Harry is prioritizing reconciliation.

After reuniting with King Charles III for the first time in 19 months, the 41-year-old shared that he hopes to continue mending his relationship with his dad amid their ongoing rift.

In fact, Harry told The Guardian in an interview published Sept. 14 of his upcoming year, “The focus really has to be on my dad.”

And luckily, the Duke of Sussex believes that his recent reunion with Charles, 76, for a private tea at his London residence Clarence House has already helped him achieve that goal. As he put it, “This week has definitely brought that closer.”

Indeed, Harry similarly shared that the meetup was successful while at his father’s U.K. house on Sept. 10, telling reporters, according to Sky News,  “Yes, he’s great, thank you.”

And the former senior member of the royal family—who, along with his wife of seven years Meghan Markle, stepped back from his royal duties in 2020 and relocated to the United States—has previously expressed his interest in a reconciliation with his dad, especially amid Charles’ cancer battle.

bitchy | The British media is not happy about Prince Harry’s $1.5 million charity donation

by jummy84 September 11, 2025
written by jummy84

Yesterday, Prince Harry visited the Community Recording Studio in Nottingham, where he spent time with many youths, all of whom were thrilled to meet him. There were at least a hundred people waiting outside CRS too, and Harry did a nice little walkabout. The photos are spectacular. I can’t help but think back to all of the times the left-behinds arrive to events with absolutely zero people behind the police barricades.

Harry also announced his $1.5 million donation to Children In Need, a charity doing great work in Britain. Let me tell you something… none of this has gone down well with royalists or the left-behind Windsors. The British press is mad about it too, because they’ve been trying to convince their readership that Harry is broke, that he can’t afford the mortgage on his Montecito home, that eventually he’ll come crawling back to the UK because he can’t afford to live without his father’s nonexistent largesse. They’re even crying about how “real royals” don’t donate their own money to charities. Weird flex but okay. By the way, Harry emphasized that his donation IS his own money, it’s not coming from the foundation side of Archewell.

The Duke of Sussex has announced a personal donation of £1.1 million to tackle youth violence in Nottingham, saying that knife crime was “one of the most urgent issues facing this country”.

Despite relocating to California more than five years ago, he gave a speech in Nottingham in which he said he would “continue to stand with you” and praised the city’s “banging” jerk chicken.

A spokesman for Prince Harry said that the money, donated to BBC Children in Need, had come from the duke’s own funds rather than Archewell, his media organisation.

A contribution of £300,000 from BBC Children in Need will be added to the donation to help young people impacted by violence. In a speech after touring the Community Recording Studio (CRS) in the St Ann’s area of the city, Harry said: “I’ll continue to stand with you. Nottingham has my respect — it always has — my commitment and a permanent place in my heart.”

His visit appears to have been well received by the public. When he arrived in a black Range Rover, a crowd of about 100 people, including a group of young children, had gathered to cheer his arrival. One well-wisher shouted: “Harry, you brought the sunshine with you.”

Among those waiting outside was Margaret Wilson, 66, who was wearing a purple T-shirt bearing the slogan: “Team Harry. Lifetime Member. Man. Myth. Legend”. She said: “I was a fan of his mother and I like what he’s doing. He’s doing a lot for charity and he’s not even on the payroll. He doesn’t have to do this; he’s choosing to do this.”

[From The Times]

“Despite relocating to California more than five years ago” combined with “he’s not even on the payroll. He doesn’t have to do this; he’s choosing to do this.” *chef’s kiss* I love the idea that when one moves to California, you can no longer visit the UK or give speeches in Nottingham or donate to charity. Margaret Wilson has it right – Team Harry. People Mag also had a nice interview with some of the coordinators and staffers at CRS, all of whom adore Harry – go here to read.

You guys, Harry’s donation broke royal protocol.

Prince Harry has made a personal donation of £1.1m to a UK children’s charity. Harry said he hoped it would help “changemakers in the city continue their mission to create safe spaces”, but critics are calling it a charm offensive.

Do you think this donation is genuine?… pic.twitter.com/VXiXuDo8c2

bitchy | Princess Kate will do two solo events on Thursday, the last day of Harry’s visit

When the Prince and Princess of Wales announced that they would attend rugby matches over the weekend, the announcement came about 24 hours beforehand, in what everyone assumed would be around the same time as Prince Harry’s flight into Heathrow. Harry really surprised them by flying in overnight on Sunday, going straight to Windsor to pay his respects to the late QEII on Monday, and then keeping it breezy until the WellChild Awards on Monday night. What I’m saying is that William and Kate purposefully went outside on Saturday in advance of Harry’s visit, which they thought was only going to be for one or two days. Then they were stunned to learn that Harry planned for four days of events, his own little royal tour.

Suddenly, the Kensington Palace clownshow had to throw together some last minute events for the two biggest clowns of all, Peg and Wig. Kate “surprised” everyone by turning up at William’s Women’s Institute event on Monday. Kate was mercifully absent from William’s event on Tuesday, where he made jazz hands at a homelessness project. But they’re making Kate and her poor sausage-curl wig go outside AGAIN. On Thursday, Kate will have TWO events.

The Princess of Wales is set to carry out two engagements this week, Kensington Palace has confirmed. Kate, who made a surprise appearance alongside the Prince of Wales on the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death on Monday, will take a tour of Sudbury Silk Mills in Sudbury, Suffolk on Thursday, followed by a trip to Marina Mill in Cuxton, Kent.

The princess’s engagements come during brother-in-law Duke of Sussex stay in the UK, and will take place on what is expected to be Harry’s last day of charity visits. Kensington Palace said the princess’s visit would “celebrate the unique skill, creativity and craftsmanship of British textile manufacturers”.

In a statement announcing the visit, the Palace said: “Her Royal Highness’s visit will highlight the rich heritage of the British textile industry and celebrate the joy found in working in the creative industries.” It said Kate has “long been passionate about the importance of the British textiles industry and its role as part of the UK’s cultural and creative voice”.

[From The Daily Mirror]

Back in June, the Daily Beast’s Royalist got a major briefing after Kate dramatically pulled out of Ascot at the last minute. A former staffer sniffed: “Kate is recalibrating her entire life, her entire work-life balance….She has never found the public appearances, and the forensic attention and criticism that goes with them, at all easy to deal with, and it was just too much this week.” Another royal insider said: “The important thing here is Kate’s recovery. It was too much, unfortunately, for her to have three appearances in under a week, and the lesson has been learned. Kate will take it much easier for the rest of the year.” Well, after two months off and a yacht holiday around Greece, suddenly Kate has made a full recovery, enough to do (gasp) five events in eight days. I’m really not interested in hearing any more bullsh-t about Kate needing to be babied even further – she’s showing that all it takes is a visit from Harry to get her ass in gear.

Additionally, this is exactly the kind of bullsh-t that makes me extra grateful that Harry and Meghan got the hell out of there. This is what they would have had to deal with 24-7. Any time Harry or Meghan would do a charity event or highlight a good cause, Will and Kate would have put together some pitiful excuse for an “event” at the last minute and demand equal coverage. While I’m thrilled that H&M don’t have to put up with it, you know Charles and the media have significant regrets. I hope Charles watched the absolutely clownery from his heir and the wig this week.

Prince Harry’s reunion with King Charles lasted less than an hour.

Prince Harry’s reunion with King Charles lasted less than an hour

The Duke of Sussex, 40, has been estranged from his cancer-fighting monarch father, 76, for 19 months, but met him for a private tea at Clarence House on Wednesday (10.09.25) evening – fuelling hopes he will be welcomed back into the royal family.

Harry’s Range Rover arrived at the King’s London residence at 5.21pm.

He remained inside for 55 minutes before departing at 6.14pm.

The reunion was almost twice as long as their last encounter in February 2024, when Harry flew to Britain after learning of his father’s cancer diagnosis and was granted a 30-minute audience.

According to The Sun, the father and son shared tea in private.

Harry later told guests at an Invictus Games event in London the monarch was in good health.

He said: “Yes he’s great, thank you.”

At the reception, held at the top of the Gherkin building, Harry joked with attendees about his delayed arrival.

He said: “I think this whole thing has been delayed slightly, so at this point you’re all hammered – which was part of the plan all along, stuck up here at the top of the Gherkin.”

The duke’s arrival at Clarence House was delayed by heavy London traffic caused by a Tube strike.

No longer entitled to blue-light police escorts since stepping down as a senior working royal in 2020, Harry was caught in congestion before reaching the royal residence.

Charles had flown earlier from Balmoral, leaving shortly before 2pm and arriving at RAF Northolt about an hour later.

Queen Camilla, 77, did not travel with him.

Just 20 minutes before Harry entered Clarence House, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh was seen leaving.

Harry’s older brother Prince William, 43, was not present.

He had spent the day in Cardiff at the Principality Stadium, supporting the launch of a new mental health hub to mark World Suicide Prevention Day.

Harry entered Clarence House through the visitor’s entrance with his driver and security aide Christopher Sanchez, formerly a bodyguard to Barack Obama.

The King and other senior royals, including Sophie, had earlier used the main gates on The Mall.

The duke is visiting Britain on a four-day trip of charity events.

Earlier on Wednesday he toured Imperial College London’s Centre for Blast Injury Studies before attending the Invictus reception.

Harry lives in California with his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, 43, and remains estranged from much of his family, including William.
